Inspecting the impeccable historical details of my 2022 released COO Model™ 1:6 scaled fully posable figure of the Japanese general Iyi Naomasa (井伊 直政,1561-1602) and my 2018 released Pop Toys™ 1:6 scaled fully posable figure of the Saint Knight Jeanne d'Arc (1412-1431).

General Iyi Naomasa served under the shogun (将軍) Tokugawa Ieyasu (born Matsudaira Takechiyo; 1543-1616), and the COO Model designers based preserved his armor on the display at the 1603-1622 Hikone Castle (彦根城, Hikone-jō) in the Shiga Prefecture, of Japan.

According to the Pop Toys designer, the armor St. Jeanne d'Arc (Saint Joan of Arc) was based on the 1999 bio film “The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc” starring Milla Jovovich (born 1975). However in reviewing the armor design, I noticed that the armor is very similar to that worn by the 1874 sculpture of St. Jeanne d'Arc by the French sculptor Emmanuel Frémiet (1824-1910) located at the Place des Pyramides along Rue de Rivoli, Paris, France. So I assume that the director Luc Besson (born 1959) did use this statue as the reference of the armor for his film.
