Clarisse la rue x fem!reader (posseidon's kid)

Summary: when your new sibling gets claimed, you cannot sleep, thank Gods Clarisse cares enough, or too much.

Warnings: none really, but fluff, comfort, clarisse being sweet, life crisis

(Again, i did not rewied it, and it is probably mediocre, but we love our girl clarisse)

That was a moment of rare peace.

It mas the middle of the night, everyone was sleeping, and i had escaped for a quick swim.

The truth is that i couldnt sleep, some days ago, a little boy arrived at camp, poor kid, his eyes had such sadness, lost the only family he had, and just as every newly found demigod, he was confused.

And then, he is my brother, his claim was fast, like a clean cut, but to me it felt like ages, i was watching the trident appear on his head in slow motion, and every tought came to me, specially because i knew, i knew the feeling, i knew the pain, i knew the revolt.

And oh how i felt it all again, not only my father was fucking my life, our life, he was making it 11 times worst, no gods would like the fact that there is now 2 forbidden children, it was unsafe, and now we were unsafe.

"Sneaking out are we?"

I turned around with such speed i almost got dizzy.

"Clarisse! You scared me"

I half whisper, she was standing on the pier next to me, with her hair in a low ponytail, some old soft shorts and a oversided worn of shirt, simple, but so beautiful in my eyes.

"Why are you whispering? We are alone"

"I was trying not to get caught"

"And how exactly is that going for you?- wait you're swimming in your underwear?

Clarisse squinted her eyes trying to see me inside the water.

"...I was going to wake percy up if i opened the drawers to search my bikinis and went changing, besides, Posseidon kid, i can get dry in a second."

And before she could do what i tought she would, insult percy, i said:

"...do you want to join me?"

"Can you dry me too?"

She smiles while taking her shoes off.

"I can try"

I say, turning my back to her while she took the rest of her clothes off.

Seconds later i feel her getting into the water, more seconds later, i feel her hands on my shoulders, compared to my own skin, her's was hot

"You can turn around now..."

She looked even more beautiful in the moonlight, smiling shyly, glowing togheter with the water.

I hold her hand, those hands who made many fall to the ground everyday, those hands made me calm, reminded me of myself, that i was alive, that i was okay.

The way she always pressed the middle of my palm whenever i was nervous made come back to reality everytime.

How could that she, so mean, with a heavy presence, always made me feel light?

Like i was eternally into water, letting the flow take me wherever, so so happy.

I layed my head on her shoulder, letting myself be hugged, be light again.

"Are you alright? Do you want to talk about it? Hm?"

"Tomorrow...for now, can you just hug me?"

She didnt answered, but i could feel, her arms tightening, and a quick kiss on my forehead.

I was all so beautiful.

Every time I listen to Ruthlessness I get more and more sure that the gods in Percy Jackson are awful parents.

Luke ran away to a fucking BOAT after fighting with Percy, a son of Posseidon.

If PJO! Posseidon was an inch of a better father, the Andromeda would be keeping company to the Titanic the second Luke set foot on that ship and 4 years worth of problems would be over.

y/n is mortal and the most calm, polite and gentle mortal they ever meet not even once they hear her raise her voice

even talking with them who hate human still in those demeanor

even trash talk about human still the same. yes the y/n don't have much love to her kind but she still mortal and they will trash talk about human and her

but secretly he like that attitude of y/n and with how y/n not afraid of them

as they trash talked about her. it is first time they hear her raise her voice, yet it still soft and gentle way. as y/n have been holding her anger and smile calmly to them. that is the first time she exploded

it was on that time they 100% to themselves who have been denied whole time that they are in love with y/n and proposed y/n prompt

this cause y/n blushed. y/n face have enter a new shade of red that human not supposed to have and agreed to marry them p/s: i'm looking at you Posseidon

Speaking of which! I'd love to see Sebek in Coral See event. Imagine how much salmon he could catch....

But back to Harveston! JADE'S VIGNETTE?? (remember when R cards used to have vignettes...) They're both big-eaters hehe

Moving on. Jade loves mountains and Sebek, well, has some experience in climbing, so he could be useful. I want them to go hiking together :3

...there's this game "Zeus + Poseidon"...and remember I talked about this "coincidence" in Harveston? Idk Sebek-Zeus and Jade-Posseidon sounds fun haha (gosh I'm hopeless at this point)

And in general Poseidon and Zeus' relationship from Greek mythology...

Their child could be called "Electric Eel" lol

Idk they just look good together aesthetically, like their colour pallets are so pleasant to the eye when combined.

many people talk about how cool your Posseidon is and I'm really agree cause this man (God, sorry) is both scary and handsome and btw the coolest but i really need to talk about your Hera design!! I mean she's totally gorgeous!! both "god's games" animations are awesome (and i can't wait to see your Zeus!!) but Hera's is just WOW

Hera's design is kind of my golden child! I really like it a lot myself! The other gods are, in a sense, based on her or at least inspired to follow a similar theme of bringing out characteristics that aren't well known of the greek gods.

Well, except for Athena. Her design is pretty standard, and I just scrambled something up on the first try… 😅 However, Athena's feathery-snakey form that she brings out in Aphrodite & Ares God Game was something that I came up with on a whim when I was animating her shots.

No because Percy screaming "I am Sally Jackson's son" and then praying to her instead of fucking POSSEIDON, is so meaningful to 16 year old me who did an actual essay in high-school about how important Percy's relationship with his mom is, about how most of the times main characters and specially HERO main characters don't get to have a parental figure, but Sally being so present and such a strong influence in Percy's actions, who btw is still a 12 yo troubled kid who has adhd, dyslexia and constantly gets bullied, is truly beautiful and it just means a lot to me, thanks for coming to my TED talk

One thing I recently noticed about Epic the musical:

Odysseus name is only revealed in Remember Them.

Before that, no one says his name.

We know it's Odysseus. We're aware that it's him, but the first time anyone says his name is in the very end of Remember Them and, then Posseidon calls him out by the end of Keep Your Friends Close.

Not once before, and not once since.
