In the previous Blog, I introduced the scene design of the first half of the animation. The first half of the animation mainly takes place in the real world, so the scenes are mainly set indoors and all of them are real furniture. The second half of the scene takes place in an unreal world, so I will use more exaggerated scenes and colors. For example, I will design a scene of rocket lift-off, and the rocket will be pink with orange smoke. In the later part of abstract art style, the background is mostly dark simple background, which is in line with the artistic style of abstraction on the one hand and can be distinguished from the previous part on the other hand. In the final animation, the animation will return to the real world again. The scene of this part will be set outside the apartment, and I will still follow the minimalist design style.

Post8 Session8- The impact of racial discrimination

The cause of racial discrimination is quite complex and it is quite difficult to be resolved in a short time, Although there are some solutions to be offered by an expert or the government, racism still exists in anywhere human society.Racial discrimination caused serious harm to the victims and led to many large-scale protest marches, which not only hindered the normal operation of the society but also caused a lot of unnecessary losses. For example, the "Black Lives Matter" movement that took place in the United States in 2013 swept many places in the country. This movement triggered large-scale demonstrations and many arrests, which caused a lot of losses to the American society.

I began to think about whether there are some effective ways to avoid racial discrimination. Although many experts suggested that primary and secondary school education could fundamentally solve the problem of racial discrimination, but this method takes a very long time, which is unfair to those who are suffering from racial discrimination. I summarized some ways to help people cope with racial discrimination by referring to literature. I believe that tolerance is considered a practicable method, when people are subjected to racial discrimination, people should ignore these behaviors and racists, because this method can help people avoid more harm, and if people resolutely resist these discriminatory behaviors, things will not go to a good direction but may become worse, for example, some verbal conflicts may escalate into physical conflicts. However, tolerance also has some drawbacks, tolerance is considered a concession because it may make people adopt negative attitude towards racial discrimination, tolerance will lead some racists to further discriminate, which is not a good approach for society as a whole and is not conducive to the permanent elimination of racial discrimination.

In addition, some people consider that mutual respect seems to be a useful approach to eliminate racism and create a peaceful society 

because people will respect each other more and won't offend each other. However, some people consider that this method might be a mistake because it perhaps connives that some people who have racist tendencies have more activities of racial discrimination, so that tolerance should not be widely promoted. But, this situation is not realistic, because we can hardly expect everyone to respect others, and not everyone is worthy of respect. Generally speaking, whether a person can respect others depends on his education level, and human society can not guarantee that all people have the opportunity to receive higher education. All in all, I am more convinced that tolerance may be a better choice, tolerance can help people avoid some unnecessary troubles, people can tolerate some things they don't approve of, they can ignore it. In addition, tolerance may not be a perfect solution to racial discrimination, but in cases where racism cannot be completely solved in the short term, tolerance can limit many cases of discrimination and keep human society harmonious.

Ciò che voglio fare con questo blog non è solo parlare delle ultime uscite o commentare le ultime notizie: voglio soprattutto mettervi al corrente dell’esistenza di tanta buona musica sconosciuta ai più, per esempio “Automatica”, album di musica elettronica rilasciato da Nigel Stanford il 15 settembre 2017. E’ un album in cui convivono brani più vicini al mondo dance, ed altri più da “ascolto da fermi”.

La copertina raffigura un uomo e un robot visti di spalle che camminano affiancati in un corridoio delimitato da grosse strutture di ferro sotto un cielo notturno in cui trovano posto anche tre meteoriti. E’ una scena alienante e suggestiva allo stesso tempo.

L’album è aperto dalla title track, che è stata anche singolo di lancio dell’album con un videoclip pazzesco, in cui la canzone veniva suonata da robot solitamente impegnati in stabilimenti industriali. La canzone inizia con un giro di basso a cui si aggiungono pianoforte e batteria, prima che il suono viri verso il mondo digitale grazie ad un synth. Il pezzo si carica per un minuto e mezzo abbondante prima di dare sfogo a tutta la sua energia scatenante. Intermezzo di nuovo affidato ai soli pianoforte e batteria, aggiunta del synth, e secondo drop bello pronto, stavolta anche con la chitarra elettrica a completare questo sfogo meccanico e robotico. Solo la prima traccia e già sembra di essere nel mezzo della festa.

Seconda traccia, singolo anche questo, “One Hundred Hunters”. Tastiera e basso guidano il brano mentre altri suoni digitali e una voce processata crescono d’intensità. La canzone si prende un po’ di calma e torna a crescere dalle parti vocali. E’ un brano da ascoltare più che da ballare, e porta con sé un senso di tranquillità e pace grazie alla linea di tastiera essenziale che non lascia mai il brano. Il video mostra immagini lunari, e la sensazione di rilassamento che si prova con il brano è la stessa che si prova nella solitudine, in come possiamo immaginare il vuoto dello spazio noi che non l’abbiamo mai vissuto.

Tocca ora a “If I Go Down”, in collaborazione con la cantante Catey Shaw. Dai primi secondi la canzone sembra dirigersi verso un suono dance molto elementare, molto radiofonico. La voce di Catey funziona, e la parte strumentale le offre un’ottima base. Testo non degno di nota, finora il pezzo più debole ma comunque sufficiente. Il mondo dance pop ci ha fatto sentire molto di peggio: sentire questa per radio sarebbe un momento di sollievo.

Traccia 4, “Everything Changed” in featuring con Dallin Applebaum. Il pezzo si sviluppa con suoni più subdoli, meno sparati in superficie. Anche la voce di Dallin, soprattutto con l’effetto riverbero nel ritornello, sembra spuntare dall’ombra. Il testo, piuttosto banale, parla di come tutto sia cambiato in una relazione. Il mio giudizio su questo brano è molto positivo, merito sia della parte strumentale che di quella vocale, molto evocative e immersive. Credo che il momento migliore per ascoltarla sia al buio, sentendosi circondati dai suoni ombrosi e dal beat secco. Ottimi i momenti affidati al pianoforte, adattissimo a trasmettere ancora di più il cambiamento che c’è stato e ha fatto male.

Segue “Icarus”, cantata da Elizaveta, canzone da subito più incisiva e rapida. Beat regolare, si aspetta solo che si arricchisca e cominci a farci muovere. Interviene una linea melodica, e poi la voce della cantante. Il pezzo provoca da subito almeno uno scuotimento di spalle, rivelandosi piuttosto catchy già dal primo minuto. Perfetta da ballare con gli amici addossandosi gli uni agli altri: non si presta a semplici saltelli con il braccio che si muove a tempo: sembra chiedere più impegno e più movimento. Delle piccole variazioni nei suoni ma non nella melodia assicurano che la canzone non annoi mai e non cambi troppo da un momento all’altro. La sua genesi pensata per la pista da ballo viene rivelata dalla durata di sette minuti, di puro godimento. Il testo parla della voglia di brillare e volare. Come Icaro, magari con una fine migliore. Pezzo trascinante, ottimo compagno per chi ha energie per agitarsi.

Sesta traccia, “Gravity Waves”, puramente strumentale, anche questa più vicina al lato dance, anche se senza personalità. E’ un brano che passa inosservato e che non suscita tante osservazioni, anche se comincia a mutare intorno ai due minuti, senza tuttavia migliorare in maniera decisa. L’aggiunta di suoni atmosferici non arricchisce e non aggiunge informazioni utili, e il tentativo di accelerare il beat non riesce a trasportare l’ascoltatore e invitarlo a scuotersi. Sicuramente costruita con criterio, non è una canzone che riesce nel suo scopo.

Ancora sul versante più semplice si trova “Talk to Your Lover”, con di nuovo Catey Shaw alla voce. Valgono le stesse considerazioni fatte per la terza traccia: funziona nelle sue singole parti, ma è complessivamente una canzone “da radio”, lontana dalle idee di altre canzoni dell’album. Piuttosto, che fine ha fatto la ricerca del suono: Nigel Stanford ha quasi l’approccio di uno scienziato, sia nella parte musicale che in quella visiva. Dove sono finiti gli esperimenti?

Spero di trovarli nell’ottavo brano, che dalle prime note di pianoforte sembra interessante. E’ uno strumentale, e si intitola “Dead Pixels in the Sky”. E’ immersivo, avvolgente, strutturalmente non complesso. E’ come una quiete che si rompe dopo due minuti, quando il beat diventa più pesante e un sample che parrebbe essere una voce crea una linea melodica che sa di viaggio con i piedi staccati dal suolo, di volo in un cielo rotto e che cade a pezzi. A volte sono solo certi tipi di immagine che ti permettono di trasmettere come una canzone ti fa sentire. La calma torna nella seconda parte della canzone, quando il viaggio è finito, siamo tornati giù, e sappiamo che è stato favoloso. Brano riuscito.

Viene ora “Stay with Me Tonight”, terza collaborazione dell’album con Shaw. Lo schema è quello già visto: un pezzo orecchiabile, non elaborato, adatto a platee più vaste rispetto alle tracce più sperimentali e ricercate. Non è neanche il caso di parlare del testo, è esattamente ciò che vi aspettereste da una canzone con questo titolo. Comunque buon lavoro da parte di entrambi ancora una volta, ma rimane in secondo piano rispetto al resto dell’album.

“The Sixth Axis” (titolo bellissimo secondo me) è la traccia numero 10: parte ritmica e chitarra in apertura portano il brano verso i suoni digitali che poi riempiranno il brano, senza tuttavia mai escludere un colpo di chitarra ogni quattro battute. I suoni digitali se ne vanno momentaneamente, lasciando la chitarra da sola fino a quando altri strumenti intervengono e... Non sto descrivendo bene questo brano. Forse anche gli altri mi sono venuti male, ma questo di più. Sarà perché si muove in territori imprevedibili, perché cambia spesso senza però farti mai sentire abbandonato, perché ti fa rimanere in attesa di cosa verrà dopo mentre ti godi quello che c’è adesso. Le migliori canzoni di quest’album sono così: difficili da spiegare, facilissime da immaginare. Portano con sé una componente visiva che si trova però solo nella testa, ed è diversa da persona a persona. Però è piacevole, e ti lascia nella consapevolezza che anche gli altri che hanno ascoltato questa traccia prima di te hanno visto scenari e mondi riservati solo a loro. E credo sia fantastico.

“Cymatics” ci accompagna verso la fine: è la penultima traccia dell’album, ed è una collaborazione con il rapper Noah Caine. L’inizio del brano lascia presagire che la musica sia solo un accompagnamento per la voce di Caine, ma poi accade quasi l’inverso: sono i sample ricavati dalle parti vocali che diventano strumenti e si aggiungono e arricchiscono il brano, che compie il definitivo salto nei suoni elettrici dopo più o meno due minuti. Il flow di Caine e il beat funzionano bene insieme. Il finale del brano è un invito a ballare, con un drop entusiasmante e convincente. La canzone ci lascia con un sorriso.

Chiude l’album “Wind it up”, un brano senza alcuna pretesa di essere esagerato, ma che al contempo non lascia completamente immobili: ritmato, scorrevole, rilassante. Poi cambia personalità e si fa avvolgere dal rumore, entrando nel mondo del caos senza controllo. Scratch e sample vari compongono la terza parte del brano, che poi si riallaccia ai bei suoni della prima, divergendo qui e là verso un groove più orientato verso la dance. Una voce ripete “wind it up” mentre ci avviciniamo alla fine, suggellata da una piccola complicazione nel beat che ci abbandona poi ad un silenzio improvviso dopo esserci goduti un interessante viaggio a base di robot, pezzi di cielo e desideri di volo.

In conclusione, album davvero interessante e dalla doppia personalità: io preferisco i brani più ricercati e particolari, ma anche le canzoni dall’ascolto più facile sono molto godibili, se vi piace l’elettronica pop. Un bel lavoro da parte di Nigel, la cui ultima release è il singolo dell’anno scorso “Forever”. E ora le 12 tracce in ordine di gradimento, da quella che mi piace di meno alla mia preferita.

Did anyone else notice that whenever Jugyeong is her “ugly” self with no makeup, she’s almost always in comedic situations? I don’t think that even once through out the series there’s been a very serious plot point that has happened when she wasn’t wearing makeup. It kind of makes her “ugliness” the butt of every joke. Seems like only pretty characters can have any sort of development. Also, haven’t we as a society progressed beyond the whole glasses=ugly thing?

How media have affected you?

1. Cognitive

- Media affected me in the cognitive level by means of what I always see on my social media accounts, specifically facebook. I remember when an issue about Michelle Dy allegedly stealing a copyrighted trademark of Jefree Star from his youtube channel and how Jefree Star reacted to it, it gave me an information that has been stuck to my mind how much of a controversial man is Jefree Star by overreacting to this not-so-big of a deal issue that he had with Michelle Dy, and now, everytime I think about Jefree Star, I just see him making everything about himself.

2. Attitudinal

- Media affects my beliefs whenever I see posts about old people or what we call lolo’s and lola’s who are working really hard to earn money for their family and people around them are just ignoring and it makes me think about my beliefs about the actions of our people in this generation and it is just so wrong. Instead of ignoring them, why can’t they think of helping them, even just a bit of help because I think, that would be a really huge help for them and their family.

3. Beliefs

- Media affects my beliefs when I saw this post about a boy studying while he works because I can see that he will do everything to make sure that he can get his education while some people out there who already have everything they can probably have still complaining about how crappy their lives are when they can’t see how these kids would be beyond happy experiencing the life they had.

4. Emotional

- Media affects me emotionally every time I watch films from our country or what we usually call “indie films” because I feel like I can totally relate to it and I feel every pain that the main character feels when his/her relationship failed or every time someone was friend-zoned and especially when someone dies. It just breaks my heart in to pieces and it makes me cry so hard that I cannot fully go over it for like, a week or something.

5. Physiological

- Physiologically speaking, media affects me when I see posts about a kid, an adult, a teenager, a “lola” getting raped and killed by some monsters who deserves to die than these innocent girls and women who deserves nothing but justice but some ignorant people says things like, it was the victim’s fault for dressing too sexy or something. A kid dresses sexy? A old woman dresses sexy? I don’t think so.

6. Behavioral

- Media triggers my behavioral level everytime I see an advertisement of a cheek tint or a lip tint on instagram or facebook and a lot of my friends know how much I love these products that’s why I can’t stop myself from buying these.

How powerful are media and information?

We can see in this photograph a husband and a wife showing a very intimate relationship with each other, but at the same time, sharing a very intimate relationship with their cellphones.

Yes, media serves a very powerful tool in different fieldworks in our society. Helping them do things the easier way and be more convenient. But in our current situation, media is slowly taking over our world making us unaware of the things and events that are happening around us. It makes us ignorant to the things thaw we should be giving attention to. And lastly, it does not give us the quality time to share with our loved ones.

Para a postagem de hoje, iremos contar um pouco sobre o tratamento do HPV. O título dessa postagem foi pensado devido ao fato de que, infelizmente, não há um tratamento específico para o vírus do HPV! :( O vírus do HPV, como constatamos em algumas postagens anteriores, pode sumir completamente do seu organismo porque seu próprio sistema imunológico irá o combater, porém esse é seu único aliado na luta contra o HPV, por assim dizer.

Mas pera lá! Um tratamento específico para o vírus do HPV não significa que não existam outros tipos de tratamento que possam vir a te ajudar. O tratamento principal para infecção por HPV, por exemplo, se baseia nas lesões e verrugas causadas pelo vírus. Pode ser feita através de:

Agentes tópicos (aplicado na lesão, externamente): Ácido tricoloroacético de 50% a 90%, 5-fluoruracila em creme, etc. (Importante esclarecer que os medicamentos agora citados estão apenas aqui por razões de informação, jamais se automedique! Caso você tenha contraído o HPV, sempre se consulte com um médico e use apenas o medicamento prescrito para você).

Como visto anteriormente, também há uma possibilidade de uma infecção por HPV vir a se tornar uma neoplasia (Neoplasia é o termo usado para aquilo que conhecemos como câncer. Um câncer surge à partir de lesões celulares, coisa que o vírus do HPV é capaz de fazer). Dessa forma, caso seja a situação, o tratamento será destinado à neoplasia desenvolvida. Esta se resumirá em Imunoterapia e/ou Cirurgias.
