Want to improve your squats? Try some Controlled Tempo Squats. - 🏋️‍♀️Normally, if you want to squat heavy, it’s a fast movement. You should go as fast as you can while maintaining tightness and without losing position. - Sometimes you might have issues with balance, tightness, positioning, depth etc. 👉All of these can be corrected by slowing down the movement. - Benefits of Tempo Squats: ✅Instant improvement in technique ✅Better Balance ✅Improved tightness ✅Find your strongest position ✅Improved depth ✅More time under tension ✅Makes the squat harder without going too heavy ✅Increased confidence - In this video, I’m doing 2-0-2 tempo squats. 👉2 count on the way down 👉0 pause 👉2 count on the way up - I don’t recommend this as being your primary squat style but it can be a good addition to your training program. BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) and EAAs (Essential Amino Acids) are some of the most popular supplements out there. But what’s the difference? Should you buy them? - Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. There are 20 amino acids in total. - Out of the 20 amino acids, 9 of them are considered as Essential Amino Acids (EAAs). They are Essential because the body cannot make these amino acids. You can only get them from food. - Out of the 9 EAAs, 3 of them are known as Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs). These 3 amino acids are - Leucine, Valine and Isoleucine. - BCAAs, in particular Leucine helps promote muscle protein synthesis (MPS). 👉About 3 grams of Leucine per dose seems to minimize MPS. MPS is is essential for muscle repair, recovery and growth. It’s the building of new protein in the body. - Most complete protein sources are abundant in EAA and BCAA. If you’re eating enough protein, you’re probably getting enough EAAs and BCAAs in your diet. - Since EAASs have more amino acids, they must be superior to BCAAs right? In theory yes. However, when purchasing a supplement, you also have to look at price per serving. 👉In order to maximize the effectiveness of Amino Acids, you about 3 grams of Leucine is needed for most people. 👉BCAAs usually have enough Leucine in a standard 5 grams serving. 👉EAAs usually don’t have 3 grams of Leucine per serving. If you want complete arm development, you have to focus on 3 muscle groups: 1) Biceps 2) Triceps 3) Shoulders - The best way to do this would be to use a combination of Compound +Isolation exercises. - BICEPS Biceps make up about 1/3 of your upper arm.
