Summary: A reflection on the L'Manberg founding family and what remains of it in two scenes. Eret preserves, in their museum, every proof they can find that their family existed and was happy. Eret had been having a long, long several weeks.

It was late afternoon towards the end of July, and still Wilbur insisted on the full uniform even when Eret had spent the day running around hauling concrete and blackstone to repair damage to the wall from the SMP’s TNT cannons just for her work to shatter again as soon as she turned her back.

She’d finally ditched the hat and jacket on the ground while she mixed another bucket of dandelion-yellow paint for the spires — and, naturally, when she turned around, her clothes were gone.

And standing just outside grabbing distance was Fundy, wearing both items with a shit-eating grin.

Scared but determined the pair of brothers leave their safe haven to search, facing the horrors of the world they grew up in on their quest to find answers. Along the way they make a concerning discovery after Wilbur is bitten, with the tears of losing a close friend on their face the twins find themselves with more questions than answers on this long road they travel.

🎵WHERE THE SKIES END by Starset

Each space had its time and place, many combinations of conversations happened as they moved through their histories. Wilbur, Fundy, Tommy, Tubbo and Eret stood inside the Final Control Room as they exchanged apologies, the walls of death changing to mean one of reunions even moons later. Father and son eventually discussed their problems, turning into a family discussion when they moved to Wilbur’s Control Room.

Every place they stopped inspired the spark of forgiveness, from tiny to years old wounds, many things were talked about on this tour.

Tommy and Sam took a moment alone inside the copy of the prison cell the teen died in, coming out looking on much better terms. No more glances were traded between the pair, a tentative peace that would only grow stronger with the right sort of nurturing. 

A private moment happened between Ruler and shark totem when they approached the Egg, the Ruler gave themself the grace of the words the shark had told them time and time again, it was time to let go of the regret.

Each exhibit passed in much the same fashion, the people most affected discussing their experiences and talking about thoughts they held for years. When they stood in front of the desk once more, the tour completed, tension no longer crackled in the air.

Comradery had been forged among these broken soldiers who stood before them, each put through their own personal hells in their time spent here. The Ruler felt the lightest they had in years seeing the fire ignited in so many souls once more. 

This is what stories were supposed to do, to bring others together to listen to others words. To share wisdom and morals, to learn from what happened in the past and move forward into the future. Looking at each face gathered, Eret draws comfort that even through it all, they had said yes to coming today.

I've actually been a DSMP fan since like. 2020 ? Joined the fandom about a week before November 16th, it was the first big event I watched live 👀 It all happened because an artist I originally followed for Ace Attorney content posted an animation meme of two characters I didn't know yet, but immediately took a liking to.....

How very surprising indeed :D But yeah, these two are the ones that dragged me in – this and the awesome art, of course X) The funny thing is, I immediately went on to read fanfics instead of, idk, watching past VODs/best-ofs, and immediately got spoiled 75% of the plot in the process :') But yeah, this isn't exactly a recent thing, I've been around here for over two years at this point 😭 Just never really posted about it anywhere except on AO3 until recently

Regarding characters, as you might have guessed based on, y'know, recent interactions, c!Schlatt's pretty much been my favorite ever since I learnt of the DSMP's existence X) But c!Eret, c!Puffy, c!Punz and c!Wilbur are also among my favorites :D As for groups... god, duo names are going to be the death of me, but I really like Sweaterduo, Pumpkinduo, Prankduo, Stagedduo, Traitorduo, whatever Schlatt & Fundy's duo name is, Sheep Siblings (as in Schlatt and Puffy, I don't typically include Tubbo in there (I know they never really interacted but. They did in my heart </3 (and in this like, one BBH livestream I keep preciously))), the Knights of Eret, and both Manberg and Pogtopia :)

Regarding ships, well, Puffychu comes to mind, of course <3 But uh,,, I also have a,,, certain affection for,,,,, *sigh* Drunz

And, well, my favorite arc has to be the Manberg vs Pogtopia arc :3c I mean, not only is the nostalgia talking, but it's also got my favorite villain (and favorite character overall), sooo many betrayals, Wilbur's fascinating character arc, the beginning of Eret's redemption, the festival, Techno's arrival, the election scene, November 16th– So so so cool, my god <3 I also really liked the Egg arc, but I wish it could have had a more satisfying conclusion than what it had – there wasn't much to see after the Red Banquet, which is a shame because I'm a huge fan of possession stories :< But that's life I guess !

All this to say. Yeah the allegations have grabbed me by the neck and are shaking me like I'm a wet kitten 😔 Though to be fair, I suspect my DSMP x RPZ AU would have made that obvious soon enough anyway 😭
