Exandria's Next Top Blorbo: Preliminary Rounds

Hello, one and all, and welcome to Exandria's Next Top Blorbo! In this competition, 16 blorbos will battle against each other to determine once and for all who is Exandria's Top Blorbo.

But first, we must choose who these 16 competing blorbos will be! That's where you come in, dear readers.

In this preliminary round, each of Exandria's five adventuring parties (Vox Machina, the Mighty Nein, Bell's Hells, the Crown Keepers, and the Ring of Brass) will duke it out, Battle Royale style.

You will get to decide who makes it into the competition by voting for your top blorbo from each group.

Four winners will be selected from each Vox Machina, the Mighty Nein, and Bell's Hells, and two winners will be selected from each the Crown Keepers and the Ring of Brass.

Once the competitors have been selected, they will compete against each other in a series of seeded one-on-one challenges until only one blorbo remains

That blorbo will be crowned

hey look i get that people are like “oh wow op you’re so lucky you got diagnosed and medicated for your adhd wish that had been me when i was younger” i wasn’t diagnosed until i was 24 and i wasn’t on effective meds until i was 25. and this is actually fairly early by adult adhd standards! my situation is weird in that i was preemptively diagnosed as a child but it wasn’t taken seriously or medicated by my parents or adults in my life.

like being trans and getting hormones, getting diagnosed later in life doesn’t preclude your successes. my stepmother didn’t get diagnosed until last year—when she turned 73! she just recently got medicated and she’s full of joy and beauty and love for life in a way she’s so glad to have! there’s no time limit. 

if you’re interested in pursuing adhd diagnosis, it’s a huge pain in the ass but it can be massively worth it. if you need first steps, here are versions of the two baars checklists used as one of the prelim stages of adhd diagnosis. (here and here) you can also check out additude mag because they have a lot of resources too (english language only, unfortunately).

Let's get this death match STARTED!!!

We got 44 submissions, which is an annoying number to work with, so we're going to start with a pre-elimination round. 24 of the lowest submitted characters have been randomly selected and paired against each other head-to-head to knock it down to 12. This 12 will be added back into the pool so we have a nice 32 to fill out the bracket evenly!

We're almost ready to start prelims, I'm just collecting images for characters at the moment. There's a few I've had trouble finding, so I thought I'd open it up to people to send in suggestions. You can reblog this post with photo suggestions (we may even have to go with fan art for some of these) or send us an ask.

31 of them were submitted two or more times, and will be in the bracket. 57 of them were only submitted once, so will be subject to preliminary voting. There are 33 spots left. 24 finales will be cut.

for both options about 42% of each poll would be cut, and 58% would move on to be included in the bracket.

the question will be "what is the worst finale?" and the lowest 3 or 4 options will be cut.
