Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V

After a million years (eight to be exact), I returned to the Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V fandom, which is funny because I didn't watch the series from the beginning and now I have no way to watch it again.

I'm obsessed with Connectshipping and all their holidays (especially Counterpartshipping) and also with Preyshipping and Genesishipping, I want to write for them but I really have no idea what I want to do, so that will be up in the air.

I'm a weird mix of softcore and kinky so my tastes run towards urban fantasy, domestic fluff, Slice of Life, BDSM (dom/sub), Omegaverse, M-preg, Incest, Shotacon, Unholy Matrimony, Codependency and unhealthy relationships. Although I stay away from NTR and infidelity, because my boys can be handsome and sadistic, but never unfaithful.

Anyway, I'm going to put a small list of my Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V OTPs:

Counterpartshipping (YutoYuya is life, with that I don't need anything else)

Pawnshipping (YuriYugoYuri is a mix of chaow, hot and romantic and sadomasochism and unhealthy possessiveness, my favorite things)

Fallenangelshipping (I unexpectedly completely fell for all the romance, marshmallows, and feathers of this couple, and the anime ruined it for me)

Collisionshipping (I imagine these two arguing and then getting mushy and then arguing again and it's wonderful)

Spectershipping (Yes, yes, I love Yūto, no one can deny that this boy is wonderful and deserved more. From this couple I only see an older marriage after getting over the invasion issue, I feel like they would complement each other quite well and I have a soft spot for the Irascible x Sadistic couples)

Dimensionshipping (Obviously Yu-boys together makes me happy)

Natureshipping (Outside of the supposed resemblance, these girls would look good together)

Connectshipping (because my babies are superior and didn't deserve that ending in the anime and manga)

21. on a place of insecurity (heads up i don’t totally know what this means so i made it up as i went along lol)

Shun was not expecting to see Sora standing right up against the doorframe when he stepped through, his cheeks all puffed out and red with indignation.  Yoko was holding his shoulder to keep him still, while she pushed his ponytail down with the other hand so that she could make a mark against the door frame.

“The ponytail counts!” Sora said.

“Sorry, kiddo, but the official way to measure is to the top of the head, not to the top of your spiky ponytail.”

Sora popped away from the wall the second that Yoko released him, whipping around to stare at the wall.  An angry huff rolled out of him.

“You must have done it wrong!! I’m definitely taller than that by now!”

“Well, it looks like you have, in fact, gotten about a quarter of an inch taller,” Yoko said, clearly trying to hide her smile.

Shun glanced at the wall.  There were a series of marks from a permanent marker on the door frame – several of them were in red ink, and had Yuya’s name scribbled in messy kanji next to them.  Those were scattered from as low as two feet above the ground, up to about five feet.  The others were in a dark blue ink, all clustered in one spot, about four feet from the ground.  Shun couldn’t help but let out a snort – it looked like Sora had had Yoko measure him about twenty different times, and he hadn’t gotten any taller.

Sora swung towards Shun at the sound of his snort, glaring at him so hard that he shook a little.  Like a chihuahua.  That was another image that made Shun want to laugh.

“I don’t want to hear it from you, you…you tree!” Sora said.

“Tree?” Shun said, smirking at Sora.  “Is that the first thing you could think of?”

“I’ll punch you.”

“I don’t think you can reach.”

Sora tried to make a swipe at him, but Shun just put his hand on his head and held him at arm’s length while Sora’s too short arms wheeled furiously.  Now this.  This was hilarious.

“I’ll get taller than you eventually!! And then you’ll see!” Sora said.

“But if you get taller, I won’t be able to do this.”

He released Sora’s head so that he suddenly stumbled forward with a squeak, and Shun caught him around the shoulders to pull him in, leaning down to give him a quick kiss on the head.

Sora made the most screechy offended sound that Shun had ever heard, and Shun grinned as he pushed him back off, and darted off before Sora could do anything more than shriek and fluster.

Chihuahua, Shun thought again.  He’s just a chihuahua.

Shun. Even though Sora wakes up fairly early Shun is usually somehow always awake before him.

Sora is a kinky little shit and will mostly bring up anything new to try or just buy the stuff and be like ‘we’re trying this out tonight’.

Neither of them.

Both of them. Okay Shun always fussed over anyone he close to when they got sick and that may just be because where he came from getting sick could mean death. Sora doesn’t like to be fussed over though when he’s sick. 

Sora likes to fuss over Shun though cause he knows Shun will still try and do things and only make his cold worse. He takes care of him and will even tie him down to that damn bed if he won’t stop trying to get up. He ain’t scared of a big oaf.

Some Kinky Shipping Headcanons (Fetish Warning)

Some kinky Preyshipping stuff because why not, I suggest you don't read this if you don't like anything fetish related:

-Shay is the more light eater while Sora is the heavier eater, this results in what you'd think would happen

-Since Sora always tends to overeat, he tends to get quite a bit of gas, which Shay unwillingly helps his partner out by rubbing and pushing down on his stomach, causing some pretty loud and powerful gas to come out

-Shay always tries to hide certain candy from Sora, as candy that has dark or white chocolate will cause Sora some absolutely uncontrollable gas which can last for hours, and the combination of a sweet and disgusting scent is really something else

-When their sleeping together, Sora tends to let a few farts out to purposely irritate Shay, but he's normally too tired to do anything but call him "disgusting Fusion scum" making Sora reply with: "Hehe I know you like it" which just makes Shay get even more irritated and just go back to sleep

Why I like them/why I don’t

I liked Sora from the very beginning because I thought it was really cute how much he seemed to immediately like Yuya, like he was just following around his crush all the time and wanted him to teach him about Pendulum summons really badly. He’s just... adorable? I love him? Look at this face, how could anyone not love him?

Past the initial “oh my god he’s so cute, I wanna hug him” phase, once I learned about his past? I just felt sympathetic for him. This baby right here was essentially raised from a young age to be a child soldier. He went to war with XYZ at the age of 11. He’s never had a friend prior to meeting Yuya and the others, and man... I know that he did some fucked up things, but I can’t hold it against him when he never had a chance to be a normal kid. Academia fucked this child up really badly, and seeing just how far he was willing to go to prove himself in a fight against his enemy (Shun) just made me want to get him some much needed therapy.

What I like about their appearance

Everything. There isn’t a single thing I don’t like about his appearance. I think Sora’s got a really nice color palette, his outfit is very practical and actually makes sense (which can be rare in Yugioh sometimes), and altogether he’s just cute. Also a big fan of blue hair, so that earns him extra points in my book.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names?

Between Sora Perse and Sora Shiunin, I like Shiunin better, but I do appreciate the effort the dub put in by giving him a last name that has a similar meaning to his actual name.

Y’all already know what I’m about to pick

Candyshipping is literally the only Sora ship I have, but it’s one of my absolute favorites to come out of Arc-V. It’s really endearing how much Sora just loves Yuya right away, and they make it so blatant in a lot of their interactions throughout the show. It was nice watching them develop from Sora being the one with the most interest in Yuya to Yuya and Sora actually having a pretty solid relationship where both of them clearly care for each other. 10/10.

Preyshipping, without a doubt. Sora’s only 13, and Shun is 17 years old. Almost a legal adult in most countries. A 4 year age gap wouldn’t be a big deal if both parties were of legal age, but when it’s like that? It’s gross and uncomfortable to pair someone that young with someone who’s almost 18. Preyshippers do not interact.

I just think it’s neat tbh. A little creature with some stuff and things. Personally some type of vibe.

Favorite moment they were in

I really love this whole scene from episode 83, where Sora has to confront Moon Shadow and face the man whose brother he sealed into a card. He's genuinely remorseful for what he's done, and feels like he deserves whatever punishment Moon Shadow deems fit. He's willing to face it, knowing an apology could never be enough, and only wants to continue on long enough to fulfill a promise to Yuya in keeping Yuzu safe. A few screenshots don't do the full scene justice, but it really is one of the best character arcs he has in the show.

Least favorite moment they were in

Hm... I guess I would have to pick the duel between Yuya and Sora after Sora's come back to Standard during the Arc League Championship. I think it was great for his character development and all, it's just one of those things that I wouldn't exactly want to watch for fun, you know? There are a lot more scenes with him that I'd rather watch to feel good.

Would I fuck, marry, or kill them

He's baby and I care for him, so none of these really work for me. If he were older, I'd pick marry.

Series: Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V Pairings: Preyshipping is the main shipping, it's very present in the story. There's small amounts of Duskshipping and Pendulumshipping. There's some Hostageshipping too but it's very minor. Characters: The main characters are Shun Kurosaki and Sora Shiun'in. In the end, Shun unknowingly uncovers a world of hidden secrets that mask Sora's true identity, secrets that could end up saving both their lives and give them both a happy ending.
