Can you do a evie x reader fic where the reader hasn’t seen evie since she’s lefted and they reunite again but under distressing circumstances?
You Forgot About Me (Evie x GN!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Evie decided to help Ben find Mal on the Isle of the Lost and bring her back to Auradon. She didn't expect to see you, because she had never planned on returning. What will she do when she sees you again? Pronouns: You/Yours They/Them Warnings: None, it's angsty though! Word Count: 3.0k A/N: I'm back!
Mal was currently being punished like a child in her shared bedroom with Evie, scolded like a child. She rolled her eyes slightly, pushing an ombre blonde to purple lock of hair behind her ear as she sat on the bed, hands clasped together as she listened to Evie tell her about what she did wrong.
Evie was pacing, sighing heavily, holding Mals spellbook in her hands, close to her chest. “This,” The blue haired princess spoke, holding the book tighter, “is confiscated until further notice.” She told her best friend, pinching the bridge of her nose with her fingers.
Mal rolled her eyes, pushing herself off the bed, hands on her hips. “Evie, I’m sorry, okay?” She mumbled out, “It’s just a lot of pressure and I just…” Mal trailed off, looking out the window to the groups of people walking by, laughing. They were enjoying their day, they knew what they were doing, who they were…Mal didn’t know any of that. She looked back to Evie who gazed upon her with concern. Mal sucked in a breath, “I just don’t know how to do the princess thing.” She continued on, slightly hugging herself.
Evie frowned at her and walked over to her, placing the spell book down, placing her hands on Mals shoulders. “This is all still pretty new to you, to all of us.” Evie spoke out, rubbing Mal's arms gently. “You’ll get the hang of it.” She continued, pulling Mal in for a tight hug, the soon to be princess, queen, hugged her back softly. Her gaze was elsewhere, but Evie couldn’t see it.
“You’re better at being a princess here.”
Evie pulled back with a sad smile, “And you’ll be a better queen than anyone.” She told Mal, fingers combing through her friends' curls. Mal tilted her head with a smile, biting the inside of her cheek and scrunching her nose. “I’ll try.” She told Evie who nodded, taking the spellbook with her to the door, “Just take a minute to breathe, okay?” Evie explained to Mal who nodded, sitting back on her bed.
Before EVie left Mal called her name, causing her to look back into the room, “Yeah?” Evie asked, tilting her head, holding the book securely. Mal took a deep breath, looking at her hands, “Do you ever miss the Isle?” She asked, eyes following up to see Evie shaking her head.
“Not really.”
Mal was shocked at the answer really, she picked at her nails. “Nothing at all? The wildness of it, the rule breaking?” She asked, her thoughts screaming, 'The feeling of being free?’
Evie leaned on the doorway, “No, Mal.” She told her honestly, shrugging, not even thinking about it. “I don’t miss anything about the Isle.”
Evie left Mal alone with her thoughts, explaining to their friends that the press and expectations are a lot for Mal. They understood how it was to go from being on the Isle of the Lost to going to Auradon Prep randomly one day. They didn’t understand how it was to be the daughter of Maleficent and the stress of becoming the new queen of Auradon. All they could do was sit by and be supportive, helping out and showing Mal they cared about her.
Unfortunately being caring and supportive for Mal didn’t work and the next thing they knew, she was gone. Ben had no idea where she was and he was pacing around the office of the castle, silently cursing himself for not noticing how she was feeling. When Evie walked in, he was hoping for good news but with the look on the princess’s face it was clear that wasn’t the case.
Evie was frowning, “She went back to the Isle.” Those words sent Ben into a spiral. He thought about all the dress fittings, the paparazzi, the students, his parents, the world staring at her, saying how she was VK and was going to be with him. He thought about how he never noticed how pressured she was due to such a big change, and he wanted to slap himself. How do you not notice when someone you love is feeling overwhelmed? With that, he decided he was going after her, to show her he loved her, to show her he was there for her.
Evie immediately knew that was a terrible idea because he had no idea what the state of the Isle was, and he was a prince. She knew if he went there alone, everyone would pick pocket him, manipulate his ideas, or somehow find a way to never return him to Auradon.
She also knew she couldn’t be the only one to go with him, so she went to the two people who knew Mal best, other than her. The two people who also knew the Isle best, just like her and Mal. Their friends Carlos and Jay, the two who were with them when they were first chosen to go to Auradon Prep.
She walked into the boys room, explaining the situation to the two who were sitting, staring at her blankly.
Carlos blinked, “You’re telling me that Mal is…” He paused, leaning forward, “missing in action?” He asked and Evie nodded, “Yeah, she went back to the Isle and I don’t want Ben going by himself.” She explained, sitting in the arm chair across from them. Jay stood up, now leaning on the bedpost, face twisting as he began to understand, “Because he’s never seen the Isle personally.” He thought aloud to which Evie confirmed with a head nod.
The three continued to discuss the idea and Evie finally asked, “So, you’ll come?” and the boys looked at each other with furrowed brows, back to their best friend. “Obviously.” They spoke simultaneously, blinking because they didn’t expect her to ask, it was just assumed they would be tagging along regardless.
The plan was almost perfect, but good enough for them. They would go to the Isle, hide the limo, find Mal, convince her to go back, and return to their lives.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple. They had to show Ben what it was like to be on the Isle, which was something in itself. Showing him the darkest parts of themselves that they never wished to resurface, was hard, no matter how much Ben thought he knew. Children were robbing the people of the Isle, people lived in dirt and grime, there was no sort of prestige there. There was only survival, there was no best version of yourself. On the Isle, the only way to grow was to be the worst version of yourself and make people fear you.
Evie walked with the group, making Ben stand in the middle of the group so that those from the island could at least cover him a bit. As they walked, Evie saw a glimpse of someone familiar. Everyone on the island was slightly familiar, you know almost everyone on the island if you grew up there, but this person she just couldn’t ignore for some reason. She told Jay to stand in front of Ben while she checked something out, and she would meet them at the hideout. He didn’t question it and continued on with Ben and Carlos, walking out of sight.
The blue haired princess maneuvered through trash and people, looking around for that person until her eyes set on you moving some boxes around. She walked closer to you, the sound of the ground crunching made her flinch due to the volume, but when the person looked over, she relaxed a bit.
That person was you, you looked at her and a smile brought its way to your face. You put down the boxes, “Evie?” You asked, taking off your gloves, walking over to her. She nodded quickly, mirroring your smile, meeting you halfway to engulf you into a hug.
You returned the hug, face deep in the crook of her neck, arms around her waist, “It’s been a lifetime.” You mumbled into her shoulder, holding her even tighter.
Evie felt warmth on her face as your voice vibrated through her body, she hugged you sweetly, not really wanting to let go. The two of you actually stayed in that position for quite a bit. The only reason the two of you pulled apart was because she had a flash of a memory from not even two days ago. The memory of when Mal asked her if she missed anything from the Isle and she said she didn’t miss anything without missing a beat. Evie pulled apart from you, looking into your eyes, and she felt regret because how could she forget you?
You stood with a smile, looking around the area, your eyes shining. Your hands were on Evies waist, hers were on your shoulders, rubbing your arms. “I knew I saw Mal earlier!” You spoke, the comment snapping Evie out of her thoughts. “Are Carlos and Jay with you?” You asked, looking around, fingers gently rubbing along Evies sides, causing her to shiver.
She inhaled sharply, nodding a bit, “Yeah, we need to get Mal back to Auradon, she kind of ran out on us.” She explained briefly, a small summary of the events. Your fingers loosened on her waist, your brows furrowing, “I’m sorry?” You asked, smile faltering. Evie didn’t notice really, she played with your sleeves a bit, nodding with an airy laugh, “There’s a whole thing to that, but, where’d you see her?” She asked, remembering how you said you had seen her earlier.
You had a frown on your face, brows knitted together, “No.” You spoke in a harsh mumble, the tone change caused Evie to finally look at you properly, without thinking about anything else. “I mean, you’re leaving?”
Evie tilted her head and nodded as if it were obvious, “Well, we have to go back home.” She spoke without thinking.
“This is your home.”
“That’s not what I meant to say-”
You dropped your hands from her waist, eyes narrowing in shock, “Yes it is.” You spoke lowly, licking your lips a bit. Evie bit the inside of her cheek, trying to find a way to explain herself, “I have to-” You cut her off.
“No, you don’t, you want to.” You told her, looking her up and down. “There’s a difference.” You spoke in a blunt manner, eyes now half lidded, unimpressed, disappointed, unsurprised.
Evie blew air through her cheeks as she rubbed your arms, “Come on, that’s not fair.” She tried to smile but truthfully, she was a little nervous.
You scowled at Evie, your eyes narrowed and you stepped back out of her gentle grasp on your shoulders. “You think just because you go to Auradon Prep, now that you’ve left the Isle…” You paused, breathing out an airy laugh, “You think everyone is just what? Below you?” You asked, head tilting. Evie dropped her hand, taking a step back at your words, biting the inside of her cheek. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, “That’s not what I meant by it.” She spoke slowly, eyes opening to reveal her saddened dark brown eyes.
You shook your head, pointing at her accusingly, “You probably didn’t even give us a second thought when you walked onto that campus, did you?” You asked her, arm dropping, falling into a crossed motion.
Evie couldn’t say anything, because to be fair, you were right. She was so excited to go to Auradon Prep, she didn’t even think about the Isle and the people when Mal asked or before.
You shook your head, a smile of disbelief etched onto your face, “Evie, you need a reality check.” You snarled, words spitting into Evie who flinched at your words in confusion. You stepped towards her a bit, body leaning forward, “You weren’t picked because of your fashion or your personality, you were picked because of dumb luck.” You reminded her of what everyone on the Isle knew, the truth all of the VKs on their dark and grim island knew, the truth no one would ever forget. No kid of a villain is chosen for their potential, because they had none.
When Evie didn’t respond, you simply continued on. You saw how her eyes widened, how her lips parted, she clearly wanted to think differently but deep inside, she knew it. You continued on, words cutting deeper and deeper than ever before, you knew it was wrong to hurt her, but she was leaving you. People don’t leave and get to be happy, it’s not fair to the kids who are stuck on that stupid island.
You glared, sucking your teeth at Evies’ still figure, like she was scared to move. “Prince Ben chose the daughter of the Evil Queen, because he thought she was one of the worst villains here.” You spoke, facial expression one of anger, filled with emotion. “He wanted to prove a point, he didn’t pick you because you were worth it, he picked you because he felt sorry for you.” You spat, face contorting in betrayal.
The blue haired girl was silent, still, in shock. Her heart was pounding, her chest was aching, she felt dizzy, but she just couldn’t move. She wished you would stop talking, but of course you had to keep going.
“You’re not a hero and you will always be a VK from the Isle.” You told her, but your words were muffled to her. She looked at you, she looked through you as you spoke and her voice picked up volume, but it was only slight. Evie trembled as she spoke to you, “I wasn’t trying to erase that.” She whispered out, brown eyes glossing over with tears. You dropped your arms at her response, staring at her blankly, “You’re clearly trying to erase the rest of us.” You told her, frowning. “You’re trying to erase me.” You mumbled out the last part of the sentence. The anger that was in you seemed to disappear right in front of the princess, it seemed to fade into a great sadness you had been holding onto for almost a year since Evie had left.
Evies nostrils flared, she pushed her hairs off her shoulder, “No I’m not.” She said through gritted teeth.
“I bet you’ve found your true love since I wasn’t worth it, hm?” You asked, hands on your hips, “Since clearly I wasn’t enough to even think about.” You continued on.
Both of you were angry, but at your comment Evie just sighed, frowning. Her beautiful brown eyes were teary, she sniffled, moving her blue hair out of her face. You expected her to prove you wrong, to tell you that she loved you, to hold you.
“I can’t love you how you want me to.” She told you, the words cracking your heart as they echoed in your mind. Her voice was quivering as she said it, she walked forward to you, you didn’t move. Your eyes were watering, you kept your lips tight in a frown so you couldn’t break out into sobs. Evie knew better, she held her hands out, gently holding onto your face, looking into your eyes.
It was then that your lips parted and you cried, tears pouring, hiccups escaping, your cheeks were wet, your face warm from the feeling of crying. Evie nodded, stroking your cheek, her own tears streaming down her own face, she bit her lips as she looked at you. “They need me there.” She whispered to you, cupping your face with her hands as you cried.
You tried to pull back, you tried to walk away, but her gaze kept you right in front of her. You shook your head, her hands moving with your head, her palms never leaving the warmth of your cheeks. Her thumb gently wiped your tears away, but more fell. Your vision was blurry when you tried to make eye contact with her, “And I need you here, is that not enough?” Your voice cracked as you spoke, lip shaking, arms crossing so she wouldn’t see your hands trembling. “Am I not enough?” You asked, blinking rapidly, trying to keep yourself together.
Evie couldn’t say anything when she heard footsteps coming near the two of you. She jumped back, putting space between the two of you and you wiped your tears, keeping your mouth closed. You crossed your arms, looking down, kicking to the ground so whoever came would just pass through.
You looked up and saw familiar white hair, a freckled boy who looked to Evie. “Evie, we have a problem, we have to go.” He spoke seriously. He noticed that Evie was looking across from her so he turned in the direction and saw you, his eyes widened with a shine to them. “Hey!” He grinned, walking to you, hugging you softly even though he was in a rush. You nodded to him, smiling a bit and returning the gesture, “Hey Carlos.” You whispered out, wiping your tears discreetly. “I can’t chat, I was just leaving, but we should catch up.” You told him, nodding when the two of you pulled apart and he agreed. He scrunched his nose, patting you on the back, “I’ll know where to find you.” He smiled, shooting you finger guns as you left, walking away with a sniffle.
Carlos walked back over to Evie, hands on his hips, “I haven’t seen them in what, like a-'' He began but Evie cut him off, “A year.” She spoke bluntly, staring at the direction you walked off to. Carlos noticed the difference in her mood from before, but before he could ask about it she shook her head to bring herself back to reality., “What’s going on?” She asked him, wondering what was so urgent.
Her friend frowned at her but understood, “We found Mal, but Ben said she wasn’t coming back.” He explained to which Evie nodded slowly, suspecting there was more to this. Carlos sighed out a bit panicked, “We can’t find Ben.” He spoke quickly and Evie's eyes widened.
Now wasn’t the moment for heart to hearts, now was the moment to find their friend and get out of there.

HEADCANONS — Quinn Hughes x single mom!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
based on this one shot
note: Oh, no need to ask twice, I love Quinn x single mom reader with my whole heart. This includes how you guys met, Quinn meeting Evie and all the cute inbetweens!
warnings: a tiny little suggestive content halfway through but nothing major- sex is implied, fem!reader, just tooth rotting fluff for the rest of it.
Tumblr media
Quinn knew he loved you from the moment he’d met you.
You and Quinn had a meet-cute. Meaning, he physically ran into you outside a coffee shop, causing all of your coffee to spill down his front.
He remembered cursing in shock only to turn into a flustered mess when you began to apologise and offer him tissues. That drama turned into him asking to buy you another coffee to which you agreed.
You hadn’t known who Quinn was or why some people had stared as he ordered you a coffee (You 100% just assumed it was because he was attractive)
You two talked for just over an hour before you parted ways (his number securely in your pocket as you went).
And the rest is history
You went on a date with him to a restaurant downtown. During this date you brought up the fact you had a daughter and that if that was a problem, then he should leave.
Quinn stayed. To him, it didn’t matter if you had a child.
You’d left the date blushing like a school kid whose crush had admitted to liking them back.
The two of you took it slowly, but around two months into your relationship, when Quinn asked you to be his girlfriend, you knew it was time to introduce him to Evie.
Evie, who was two at the time, had no idea who the man was holding her mom’s hand. She ended up throwing her teddy at him before running straight between your legs to hide.
Quinn had brought Evie pink and purple flowers after being told they were her favourite colours.
Evie had never been given flowers and instantly began to like Quinn.
I can just imagine Quinn crouched down introducing himself and Evie giggling.
“Oh hello, I’m Quinn,”
“Win.”
You’d stifle a laugh at Evie’s attempt to say his name.
“Yeah, Quinn!”
Quinn would be so unphased by Evie being unable to say his name, even when Evie began to call him Winnie, he secretly loved it.
Quinn became a constant in you and Evie’s life. He’d come to see you and Evie almost every day, or at least as much as his schedule would let him.
Evie would be obsessed with him, and Quinn? Oh, he adored being around you and her.
Evie would babble nonsensical words mixed with a few normal words and he’d nod and talk back to her, holding a conversation.
And don’t even think Quinn is above having tea parties with Evie because he is the one who suggests them.
I imagine you running to collect the post from your building's postbox only to come back and hear giggling from the living room.
You would find Quinn sitting cross-legged on the floor with a tiara and a sparkly pink cape opposite Evie in a princess dress and obnoxiously large sunglasses.
You had to take a picture before entering and joining them. That picture was your lock screen for so long.
Quinn more often than not spent the night at your apartment.
You’d given up a few drawers so that he could keep some things in your place.
It was easier to meet in your apartment because all of Evie’s things were there but the times you and Evie went to his apartment? those were like going on holidays for Evie.
Quinn’s apartment was considerably bigger than yours and when he’d begun to date you, he changed one of his two guest rooms into a room for Evie.
So imagine your surprise when you brought Evie over for the first time and found an entire princess-themed room filled with toys just for Evie.
You’d cried and Quinn had nervously scratched his head until you’d hugged him and thanked him for being so kind.
Evie had loved her room and begged you to stay over more.
And so when Quinn had asked you to move in with him a few months later, you’d jumped at the opportunity.
Quinn had surprised you with over fifty bundles of your favourite flowers as a ‘welcome home’ gift.
Your parents offered to watch Evie overnight to allow you and Quinn time to sort out the apartment.
Let’s just say the two of you christened the house…in multiple places…multiple times.
You’d curled up that night beside Quinn that night and had basked in the glow of your new home.
You’d already spent a Valentine’s Day with Quinn but at that stage, he hadn’t met Evie yet.
On Valentine’s morning, Quinn woke up at eight o’clock to make you and Evie a special breakfast— pancakes with a variety of toppings.
He’d gently woken up Evie and carried her into your room, placing her gently beside you. You’d barely stirred as Quinn pressed a loving kiss to your forehead whilst Evie cuddled close to your side.
He returned ten minutes later with breakfast, to which Evie and you had laughed and dragged him down into a one-handed hug.
He had sat down on the end of the bed and ate with the two of you, his eyes gleaming as the two of you enjoyed the food. (He’s an acts of service kind of guy and, hell, moments like those made his heart swell).
After the three of you had gotten ready, Quinn surprised you both with flowers. He was taking you out for dinner that night and in order to lessen Evie’s fear of missing out, he’d bought her a few gifts.
“It’s a bracelet,”
“That’s my name!”
You’d never forget how Evie beamed at the silver as Quinn clasped it onto her little wrist.
“And these are so you can come onto the ice with me,”
Quinn had bought her tiny black skates with pink lining, specifically for teaching Evie to skate as she’d begged him to for so many weeks.
Evie had been so overwhelmed by glee that she’d burst with excitement and lunged toward Quinn for a hug.
Quinn really is the best dad figure for Evie. He cares for her so wholeheartedly and so unwaveringly.
This man is so protective over her and you, it’s ridiculous.
Evie would come home with you from doing an odd shop and tell Quinn all about how some man was talking to you– he’d been flirting and you’d rejected all advances.
“And I throw bag of pasta at him, Winnie!”
“Atta girl! Good job!”
The two of them would high-five before Quinn would grab Evie and jostle her around as she laughed.
Quinn would be so protective over Evie in a way that made your heart so full.
Evie would come skipping home one day claiming that she and Tommy from school were married.
Quinn would immediately spring into dad mode and begin questioning who this boy was, what was his full name, where is he from, what’s his parents’ names, etc.
You would laugh off this protectiveness as Quinn stubbornly pouted at the lack of responses from Evie.
Quinn had gone to every parent-teacher conference with you, every recital or school event and every career day.
In fact, Evie became one of the most popular people in class when they found out that her ‘Q’ was a famous hockey player.
(Evie had begun to reference Quinn as her ‘Q’ since she was able to pronounce them at three. She knew Quinn wasn’t her dad but her 'Q' was basically the same.)
She began calling him dad when she was four and Quinn melted. You were overjoyed that your daughter had someone other than you to trust and love like a parent.
Evie asks Quinn why he always has ‘boring’ colours on his hockey stick, so he always wraps one stripe of pink tape around it in honour of Evie. (Then another stripe the same colour as your eyes just above it.)
When you’d brought Evie to her first hockey game, Quinn had gotten her a custom ‘Winnie, 43’ jersey. He’d also given you a Hughes 43 jersey, which he all but demanded you two wear to your first game.
Quinn had scored two goals that evening and dedicated both goals to his girls up in the box.
You and Evie had cheered so loudly for him and after the game, the three of you had headed home and celebrated with a movie night.
All in all, Quinn loves the little family he found and you guys love him just as much.
As you might be able to tell, I am OBSESSED with father figure! Quinn. I love him too much and would be more than willing to turn this into a series, I can’t lie <333

I love you writing and I was hoping you could write Ben Florian x VK!Reader the reader is Lefou's kid. A soulmate AU where the negative things you think about yourself are marked on your soulmate's skin. Reader only has one or two things because Ben is from Auradon and has a good life and family. While Ben has around half a dozen. Reader is the one who gives Ben the love potion. During the lake scene they notice Ben is their soulmate and tries (but fails) to hide it thinking he deserves better

There really is no good place for a prince. They are political figureheads in every sense of the phrase— too young to actually rule, too old to be allowed to skip state functions. They sit in corners of expensive meetings and cut ribbons in front of newly opened buildings, but they can’t do a whole lot except smile and pose.
Shame your friend seems so fixated on capturing one, then. It feels like you’ve just barely left the Isle of the Lost, only bid farewell to the entirety of your prior life experience hours ago, and yet already Mal is scheming about how to best tear down everything around you. If Prince Ben is the best way to fulfill her nefarious plans, then so be it.
The only problem is that you’re now involved in all of this, too. Mal wants a wand and so she’ll take a prince to get there, but as one of her best friends, you’ve been drafted into the plot to catch a prince. Ben won’t have any idea what’s coming. Shame, he would probably run if he had any clue.
Mal’s good at covering her tracks, though, she always has been. You can remember elaborate plans from when you were much younger to steal cookies or cloaks, spellbooks and shoes. At this point, hearing Mal tell you that she’s going to bewitch the crown prince of Auradon into falling in love with her shouldn’t surprise you, just the fact that she’s taken this long to come up with the idea.
Usually, you have no problem going along with Mal’s little adventures. They’re entertaining, at the least, a good way to pass a few days when you’ve already gone over every alleyway and hiding place on the Isle at least a dozen times in the last month. The issue is that you’re not on the Isle anymore, and maybe– just maybe– disrupting everything here isn’t entirely what you want to do.
Mal doesn’t know this, of course. None of your fellow VKs do. Every time they monologue and moan about how they can’t wait to get out of this place, you find yourself holding your tongue, biting back your real thoughts about how the school isn’t actually as bad as you feared. Sure, the constant judgment from the other children of princes and princesses isn’t all that fun, but Auradon Prep has its positives, too. For one thing, you think your soulmate might be here.
What a terrible thing for the child of a villain to prioritize. You’ve heard Mal scoff at the idea of a soulmate, and although Evie is certainly more interested in the idea than some of your other friends, you’re still not sure that you’d find a welcome audience amongst their ranks when it comes to tracking down your soulmate. After all, the odds of that soulmate being from Auradon and not the Isle are pretty high. They’ve all but told you that themselves.
All things considered, for a society with such control over magic and spells, it’s pretty difficult to find your soulmate. You’d always wondered why those in charge couldn’t shorten the whole affair to something more simple– a name on the wrist, perhaps, or an invisible string that only the two of you could see– but instead, soulmate magic went the complicated route. How lovely.
The story about the origin of the soulmate magic is convoluted and ancient, going back generations and changing with each family. The general consensus is that soulmates were created to preserve the sanctity of true love, with the idea that soulmates should be able to love each other entirely, flaws and all. So, when you think something negative about yourself, those very same thoughts will show up on the skin of your soulmate, something like a warning label for what they’re going to get themselves into.
This is all well and good for people with few negative thoughts, maybe they’ll have something here and there about a bad sports result or a poor test grade that their soulmate can chuckle over before meeting them. For you, though? You, the child of a villain, cursed to live forever on a too-small island with the other convicts and criminals, you have had more fears and hated things about yourself than most. Your soulmate must be covered in unhappy musings, which only makes you feel worse about yourself than before. A self-perpetuating cycle of the worst kind.
By contrast, the startling absence of your soulmate’s negative thoughts on your own skin makes you certain that they couldn’t be from the Isle of the Lost. There are only one or two fears on your skin, proof of loving parents and a stable home, and they’re minor things like a bad hair day or a fear of not doing their absolute best. These change, often leaving every few months to be replaced by something else insignificant.
What makes you most certain that your soulmate is the child of a royal is the one negative thought that has stayed on your skin since the very beginning. Your soulmate, whoever they are, is terrified that they will let down the king and queen. Only someone with close ties to the royalty could have such a fear, so it’s proof that your soulmate is somewhere here on Auradon.
So maybe you don’t want to leave this place, not yet. Not until you can learn who your soulmate is. It’ll be almost impossible to track them down on this information alone, but supposedly that’s how the whole thing is supposed to work. You learn about the worst parts of your soulmate, and then you get to love the best of them. The only problem is that you’re fairly sure that if your soulmate is a royal, they won’t want to love you at all.
It’s easier to ignore the whole affair. Easier to agree to Mal’s plan when she proposes enchanting Prince Ben. At least another one of your friend’s schemes will keep your mind off the soulmate affair.
That’s what you tell yourself, at least, but your conscience is starting to get steadily more vocal as the days go by. Ben is a nice guy, which hurts, surprisingly. Although the love spell may have been cast on Mal, as one of Mal’s closest friends, you’re around the two of them all the time. The boy you see is someone that you wish could be your soulmate. He may be a prince, and you may be a villain, but he makes you want to believe in love after all.
You certainly have the capacity for such musings. For some reason, the love spell didn’t take all that well, and although Ben is now compelled to stay with Mal more than he was before, it’s not like he’s totally obsessed with her as Mal had hoped. Mal claims it’s because love spells can never work fully due to the soulmate issue, like having a soulmate is a kind of shield to protect you against that sort of enchantment, but regardless, Ben has just enough independent thought that he can tell you jokes and try to make you smile like– well, like he tries to do with Mal.
The realization that Ben is a genuinely good person, and worse, someone you don’t want to trick, haunts you as you fall further into Mal’s scheme. You’ve been trying to push the whole thing from your mind, letting Ben join your soulmate in the depths of your mind you don’t want to touch, but your train of thought keeps circling back to him despite your best attempts otherwise.
Besides, it doesn’t help that Mal keeps trying to involve you in the plot. Right now, the two of them are at the Enchanted Lake, out on a cute little date. Mal had been making mock disgusted faces at you the whole time she was getting ready, but some part of yourself can’t stop whispering that this doesn’t seem so bad, actually, that the thought of being out here alone with Ben would make for a wonderful day instead of the tedious chore Mal is making it out to be.
Ben doesn’t know you’re here, though. Mal wanted backup in case something happened, so you’re lingering in the woods to keep anyone from stumbling upon the scene and also holding onto more magical baked goods in case Mal feels the need to renew the spell. It’s kind of like torture, strolling through this beautiful forest, knowing that Ben is so close and you are helping hold him under the thrall of this plot.
The storm in your mind must be thundering too loudly for you to think straight, because you lose track of yourself and accidentally walk too close to the lake. You weren’t supposed to be spotted, but before you can back away and melt back into the foliage, Ben looks up and sees you. You panic, immediately heading the way you’d come, but you hear footsteps after you moments later and Ben manages to track you down before you can go too far. Mal is so going to kill you for messing with her plan.
“Sorry,” you murmur, eyes wide when he finally catches up to you, “I didn’t realize the two of you were– I’ll go now.”
Ben shakes his head. “No, no, it’s alright. It’s not like we have a monopoly on the woods.”
He’s dripping water, most likely due to a recent dip in the lake, and you can’t seem to stop your gaze from following the path of the droplets as they cascade down his shoulders, across his hands, and, most importantly of all, over the swooping letters of the fears of his soulmates.
Usually, Ben wears long sleeves or something else to hide them. You can see why now– there are many of them, many more than you, perhaps half a dozen in all. You can’t read all of them from where you’re standing, just snippets about how a villain’s kid shouldn’t have a soulmate, how they’ll never amount to much, things like that. Things like what you’ve been thinking recently.
Ben must catch on to your train of thought, because he smiles weakly, absentmindedly scratching at a sentence proclaiming that his soulmate isn’t worth the good luck they get. “Yeah, my soulmate’s a little stressed, I guess. Hopefully, I can talk about that with them soon. I want them to know that they’re worth it, wherever they are.”
It had never occurred to you that hating yourself would make your soulmate this obsessed. You have no proof that Ben is your soulmate but–
But, as you watch, you can see a new fear appearing out of nowhere, wrapping itself around Ben’s left wrist. I’m not good enough for a soulmate this good. Just what you were thinking mere moments ago. It’s like proof.
Ben looks up slowly, and although you were never blessed with the ability to read minds, you swear you can tell exactly what he’s thinking right now. “Are you–” he starts, ends, tries again, “Do you know who your soulmate is?”
You can do several things at this moment. You can confirm what you’re mostly sure is true, you can lie, you can pretend you hadn’t heard him. You spot movement in the trees behind him, a flash of purple, and remember belatedly that Mal is still somewhere at the Enchanted Lake, waiting for Ben to come back and wondering why you’re holding him here for so long.
All of a sudden, the reality of the situation comes crashing down around your shoulders. This is not something that can happen. Ben is a prince. You are the child of a villain, and the friend of another VK who’s counting on you to continue fooling Ben so she can pursue her latest mad plan. There is no world in which this works out.
So, you force a smile, banishing all thoughts back into the deep recesses of your brain once more. “No,” you say, “I don’t know. I think they’re a VK, though.”
Ben’s face falls in a flash. “Really? Because I thought–”
You shake your head quickly. “I don’t– it’s not me. I think Mal is waiting for you, though. You shouldn’t keep her for long.”
Ben glances back over his shoulder in memory of the girl he’s left somewhere in the woods behind him, and when he looks back, you’re gone. You’re good at running. It’s a skill you’ve perfected over the years. You just never thought you’d have to use it now.
Prince Ben is your soulmate. Impossible. True. Mal comes back later that afternoon, tells you the date went splendidly despite your accidental intrusion. Ben must not have let the brief moment in the woods faze him for long. It hurts more than you care to admit.
There is only so much running a VK can do, try as they might to pretend otherwise. You avoid Ben at all costs, hoping that whatever foolish war is currently being fought inside your heart will come to a tolerable ceasefire if you just ignore it long enough. Mal tells you that the plan is going swimmingly, she’s never seen the prince more excited about the VKs and the upcoming coronation. You nod and smile and tell her that you’re glad everything is going to plan, but inside, you cannot seem to stop your mind from screaming.
And then, all of a sudden, despite your best attempts to remain out of sight, Prince Ben finds you. It’s completely out of the blue, so casual that you almost don’t realize it’s happening until he’s sitting down at your table in the library and it’s too late to run.
You feel like an animal caught in a trap. He’s just smiling like nothing is the matter. “I know it’s you,” he says by way of hello.
Your heart is stuck in your throat. “What?”
“I know it’s you,” Ben repeats, “I know you’re my soulmate. I had the Fairy Godmother do a little spell so I could check for you, but I think I knew since that day at the lake.”
You frown. “You can do that?”
He shrugs, looking a little embarrassed. “Not everyone can, I think. But I, uh, insisted.”
You grin. “Prince privileges?”
“Something like that.” He’s smiling, though, maybe pleased that you’re not trying to run off this time. “But you knew even without the spell, didn’t you?”
That does shake your uncertain sense of calm. “Yes,” you admit, “but I didn’t think you— I didn’t think it would work out.”
The look on Ben’s face is genuinely heartbreaking. “What, just because I’m a prince?”
He says it so casually, it’s almost funny. “Yes, Ben, because you’re a prince and I’m a VK. I mean, my dad was Lefou. He literally tried to ruin the happy ever after of your parents, why would you want someone like me to be your soulmate?”
“Same reason you shouldn’t be afraid to want me. You’re not your father, Y/N, and I’m not my parents. We’re just us, and I know that I want you to be my soulmate. I have since the start. I was hoping you would tell me you knew, but after a few days went by and you still said nothing, I figured I had to take matters into my own hands. Even if that meant using a spell or two.”
You keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to laugh in your face and tell you it’s ridiculous to think that he would ever want a VK as a soulmate, but he doesn’t. In fact, you don’t think he ever will. As impossible as it seems, Ben wants someone who isn’t from a perfect fairy tale. He wants you. And that, lovely and wonderful and absolutely crazy, sounds like a fairly good happily ever after for you.

EVIEEEE EVIE EVIE EVIEEEE
Pls do a little blurb or a longer piece on that scenario of rockstar!eddie learning how to eat pussy properly from nepo baby. on my knees lmao
linger |rockstar!eddie munson x nepo baby!reader|
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prompt: as requested above. eddie is always in a rush, you teach him to slow down.
contains: 18+ minors dni. oral (fem receiving), dom/sub tones, sweet eddie (for once I know lol) very sweet and smutty
"What are you doing?" You hadn't meant for it to sound so mean, so judgy, furrowed brows that peered down at Eddie skeptically.
Eddie looked up at you, head tilting to the side, his arms still under your thighs lifting them up for easier access. His lips twitched in confusion, still shining and dripping in the wet spend from your cunt. "What?" He asked plainly, looking from you back to your puffy, drooling lips before him.
You raised your brow, shaking your head down at him in questioned annoyance. Eddie scoffed, rolling his eyes. "What do you think I'm doing, Princess? I'm tryna be nice to you."
"Yeah..." You nodded slowly, scanning his features. He didn't seem mischievous and mean, no shit-eating grin or dark, playful eyes like he always adorned when he was about to tease you mercilessly.
"Are you... Are you, like, needing to go somewhere soon?" Your valley girl vocal fry came out harder than you meant it to, eyes narrowing at Eddie in warning when he smirked.
"No," Eddie hummed. "Why? You need me to go somewhere? Want me to stop, hm?" He was smug, until your lack of response.
Your hesitated grimace, eyes softening like they did when you were about to give him bad news- give him the hard truth. Eddie's heart sunk, cheeks flushing. He felt seventeen again, trying his best to get Lorie Carmichael off in the back of his van, fingering her like they did in the pornos he'd watched before hand, unskilled and unsure, so nervous he was about to throw up.
"D-Do you want me to stop?" Eddie asked quietly, eyes rounding up at you nearly pitiful, hurt.
"No!" You shook your head, pushing up on your forearms. "No, baby, it feels good, it does." You hesitated again, Eddie's jaw locked. "It's just... Could you maybe, just, like, slow down a little?"
Eddie's cheeks bloomed with heat, embarrassment radiating from his chest, blooming a deep red over his inked, ivory skin. "Oh," He swallowed thickly, lump growing in his throat, cheeks blistering.
"Ed, it's really good, it is." You reached down to cup his cheek. "I just... sometimes, I want it a little slower. Want you to take your time."
Eddie hesitated this time. "But are you-are you sure you'll get off?" He asked, so sweetly you wanted to squeal. His big brown eyes batted at you and for a second, he looked so adorably naive, submissive almost.
You smiled. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure." You teased. "Just try it? For me?" You batted your eyes and Eddie blushed, trying to hide his burning cheeks between your thighs. Of course, he'd do it for you. He'd do anything for you, you knew that by now.
"So just... slow?" Eddie asked, looking up at you then down at your parted lips. "Like slow motion?"
You wiggled your hips into the mattress, sinking further with a hum. "Yeah, just do a slow lick. No rush." You muttered.
Eddie pulled your thighs closer, nose brushing the tuft of manicured hair over your mound. He licked his lips lightly, before he flattened his tongue, licking a long, slow stripe from your sopping hole right up to your clit. You moaned, hips writing and bucking with sensation, jolts of white hot electricity tickling and zapping your tummy with heat.
"Mmm," You moaned behind closed lips, hips raising in his grasp. "Just like that, baby. Just like that."
Eddie obliged again, repeating the action, eyes on you while he studied you, studied your response, the ticks and changes in your features with every slow lick.
"Oh, fuck, that's-that's so good, Ed." You whimpered, fingers finding his curls, guiding his tongue through your folds. "Now do that again, but when you get up there, kinda, lick it a little more, ok? Just softly, but lick me there- yes! Right there!" Your hips stuttered when his tongue swirled around your clit, gently massaging the hood of your swollen bud while you writhed and bucked.
Eddie was shocked, really. Your whole relationship had been fast paced, he just assumed you'd want the oral the same way.
"Oh, Ed, that's- yes, that feels good. Holy shit, do that again." Your fingers threaded through his curls, yanking them and pulling him closer, burying him into your slick walls.
Eddie repeated the action, eyes fluttering to your face while he fluttered his tongue over your clit, satisfied with how you gasped, fisting his hair and tugging at the root. He did it again, faster this time, arms losing around your waist to keep you in place.
"Wait, hold on," You gasped, placing your hand on top of his. "Slow, Eddie, go slow." You whimpered, looking at him through already glossy eyes.
Eddie wanted to be frustrated. Wanted to tell you, you'd get what he gave you, maybe paddle you for being so bratty; but he didn't. He wouldn't take his embarrassment out on you like that. Instead, he'd try to please you, that's all he wanted to do anyways.
"What do you mean go slow?" Eddie asked again, cheek resting on the inside of your thighs.
You wanted to pinch his cheek, his slight pout on his lips while he looked up at you. Your mean, bad boy rockstar, who was begging for your approval now. Your ego swelled at the thought.
"Just slow down. It's ok to go fast sometimes, but just keep up that same pace. It's better for me." You cooed, hand running through his curls.
Eddie blinked at you, the little sweetheart. "It is?" He asked, brown eyes rounded. "Has it not been good... before?" He hesitated to ask, every insecurity from before his fame flooding back into his system, a shock that sent his nerves into a frenzy.
"Ed, it's always good, baby. You know that." You purred, gently stroking his cheek. He blushed under your praise. "Just sometimes, when you're being sweet to me, I want it sweet. We're not playing mean right now. I don't want it fast and hard, right now. Want you to be sweet to me."
Eddie grinned, eyes twinkling up at you in the way that had you swooning, heat rising in your own chest. "I can do that." He nodded, and you giggled.
"Why don't you do what you did before, but this time... maybe, like, take your fingers and do the V thing." You held up your own two speed fingers, craning your neck to look down at Eddie.
His brows creased. "Like inside you?"
"No, the other. Like, over my pussy."
"Oh." Eddie nodded slowly, grinning up at you, all dimples and starry eyes. "Duh. I knew that." He teased, sending you into a fit of giggles.
His inked fingers slid over your lips easily, pushing in so your clit puffed up, exposed and ready for him. His mouth salivated, feeling your slickness, sticky and sweet, coat his fingers. You whined at the cool air he blew over your aching clit, still a little mean and teasing even when he was being sweet.
"Mmm, now just... Do what you normally do, because that feels really fucking good," Eddie flushed, biting back a dopey smile at your praise. "Just do it slower."
Eddie let your hands tangle through his hair, guiding him back down between your thighs, lips curling around your clit, tongue flicking lightly over the bud while he suckled. Normally, he'd flutter his tongue so quickly, overstimulating and overwhelming you until you fell apart.
"Oh!" You gasped, back arching off the bad. "Fuck, yes, just like that." Eddie grinned, another fluttering lick before he circled around your clit, teasing you just a little.
"N-Now, do the long lick again." You babbled, throwing a free arm over your eyes, fists clenched in pleasure.
Eddie moved down to your sopping hole, tongue flicking and gathering every drop of your tangy taste, pulling a grating moan from deep in your chest. "Oh, do that again. I dunno what you just did, but again, Ed, again." You rambled.
Eddie was satisfied with how brainless you were getting, the type of mind numbing fuck that usually came from hours of overstimulation on his cock, your ass high in the air while he rammed into you mercilessly. If he would've known eating you out so gently would get you so pliant, he would have done it a million times before. Every day if he had to, if that meant you'd be sweet to him like this. Singing his praises in that high pitched, whiny tone that had his cock throbbing in his pants.
He kept his pace, slow and switching patterns, taking note of which ones had your legs stiffening, thighs shaking. Others that had your back arching, thighs clamping around his head while you writhed around, some sort of sexy headlock Eddie was content being in as long as he needed to be.
He wished he was in the studio so he could have recorded the sounds of you coming. Those wet squelches, vulgar and erotic, followed by an ensemble of lilted moans and breathy praises. "Oh, right there, right there. Fuck, Ed, 'm cumming. I-I can't- oh!- fuck, too much. 's too much."
Eddie watched as your chest heaved, hands on wither side of your head, glassy eyes that trained on the high ceiling, vision blurry and swirled. His chin propped on the fat of your thigh, pressing kisses into the soft skin, nuzzling his nose into your sweet scent.
"Better?" He asked smugly. You nodded dumbly, leaving him grinning.
"Very much better." You muttered, uncaring at the jumbled words falling from your lips. "S'good. You got me s'good."
Eddie grinned smugly. "Yeah? I'm glad, Princess." He muttered, hands sliding up your exposed torso, ghosting over your nipples gently before either hand was beside your head. He hovered over you, your release still shining on his chin, leaving you whimpering and thighs quaking.
"Think I'll have to have a few more lessons from ya, baby. Wanna make sure I do it right." Eddie winked, ducking down so his nose brushed with yours, curls tickling your neck and flushed cheeks.
"Yeah?" You breathed, woozy smile and dazed eyes that batted up at him sweetly. "Gotta make sure you have time."
Eddie snorted lightly. "For you? I got all the time in the world, baby. Rest of my fuckin' life." He muttered, his fingers ghosting over your dazzling engagement ring, lips hovering over yours, leaving your searing and swooning into his kiss.

Daddy Knows Best
Dad!Jake “Hangman” Seresin x female reader
Summary: Jake is very much against having his daughter in daycare, but his baby saying her first word might just make it a little better. (sorry to those of you who read the title and thought this would be smut 😁)
Notes: Suggested by a couple of people. / Part of the Oh, Baby Universe.
**This is a jump forward; Eve is nine months old. It's not the next part in the main series or anything. There's technically still a lot more to happen there first before the events of this fic. It's just a little add on**
Warnings: none, I think.
Words: 1200
---
Jake hated dropping his little girl off at daycare. Hated. It. But after you went back to work at the bar four days a week, there’d been no other choice. The schedules didn’t allow it. For those four days, you got home at three a.m. and he was up at the crack of dawn. He got done with work at four, and you were off for your shift at six. It was complicated. It required some difficult rearranging of the perfect system you’d developed during the first months of your little family coming together.
But Jake could accept that part. He could accept that Eve was getting a bit older and you wanted to go back to work. You wanted your independence and asked for Jake's support and he gave it. The daycare element, though, despite you mentioning it in the past, was the one piece he still struggled with. He couldn’t stand leaving Eve to mingle with germy rugrats and strange adults. In a room full of toddlers whining for attention, it was impossible for his daughter to be a priority to the women who worked at the center, and as far as Jake was concerned, that was unacceptable. He’d never speak it aloud, but his girl was the princess among those tiny commoners, and that was that. How you had no issue with letting her in such an environment he refused to understand.
Every morning it was a debate in his head as he took Eve from her car seat and walked her to the door of the daycare. Should he take her and run back to his truck? Decide to introduce the concept of ‘bring your daughter to work day’ to his superiors and team? He created a lot of possibilities, but then he’d remember that you would arrive to pick her up at two and he'd face an inevitable scolding if you found out she was never dropped off.
He really didn’t want to upset you. You didn’t let him so much as kiss you when you were irritated with him and that was not his idea of a good time. But even having that motivation in the back of his mind didn’t ease the pain of letting Eve go. If she would just give him a sign, something to prove she wanted to stay with him that he could relay back to you, he’d feel significantly better when arguing his case.
But no such luck.
"Baby girl, you don't want to go to daycare, do you?"
Jake shook his head in answer for his daughter. He didn't care that she didn't understand him—that she could only stare up at him with her big green eyes—he knew what was best for her and daycare wasn't it. Plain and simple. He had no alternative solution to present, but he figured that was a problem best saved for later.
"No, you don't," he continued as he carried her through the front door of the building. "You want to stay with Daddy. I've told your Mama but she refuses to listen. And I love her, baby girl, you know I do, but she can be so stubborn."
Walking down the cream-colored hallway toward the third door on the left, Jake heard the noises of small children babbling. But they were quickly drowned out by a shrill shriek of excitement once he stepped into the room.
"There's our favorite girl!" the source of the ear-splitting sound said.
Jake frowned. Eve was his girl. His and yours.
She cuddled closer to him as a young woman jogged over and reached out to try to pull the girl from his arms. When Eve made no move to wiggle free from her father, the woman made a pretend face of disappointment.
She put her hands on her hips. "Now, Evie—"
Evie? Jake's brow furrowed. When the fuck did his daughter's name change?
"Don't you want to play with your friends?"
Jake glanced at Eve. Like the many similar features of their faces, they shared matching frowns, hers just a tad more pouty from the fuller lips you'd passed down.
"Someone's a bit grumpy this morning," the woman teased, poking at the girl's little arm. "Did we not get a good night's sleep?"
"She slept just fine," Jake said.
The woman looked up at him and blushed under his stony stare.
"Of course," she replied, bubbly nature still intact. "Well, we're going to have a fun day together, sweetheart." Her hands reached towards him again. "Ready?"
Eve's eyes peered up at Jake and he sighed, shoulders sagging. "Alright, baby girl. Daddy's gotta go now."
She made a little noise that he swore was in protest, but he handed her over nonetheless. Each day he approached it like ripping off a band-aid—an industrial strength band-aid. Quick and, well…extremely painful. But even after months, it was the only way he knew how to do it.
Reluctantly, Jake gave a wave and turned for the exit.
"Say goodbye to Dada," he heard.
Then, "Da–Da."
He stopped in his tracks, bracing himself with a hand on the frame of the door.
"Oh, how sweet!" the woman squealed as Jake whipped around.
He paused for a moment, replaying in his head what he thought he heard, but when he decided he wasn't in need of a hearing check, he chuckled and walked back over.
"Ok, give her back," he ordered despite the smile on his face.
"Wha–"
Eve was pulled away and returned to her father's arms before the woman could finish.
"What did you just say? Did you say Daddy?" He asked as he bounced her once on his hip.
"Da–Da," she repeated, clear and loud and completely unmistakable in her beautiful little voice.
"Oh my god." He kissed her on her forehead and ran his knuckle down her plush cheek. "You are so perfect, baby girl. Do you want to stay with me?"
Out of the corner of his eye, Jake could see the woman start to fidget where she stood. "Um, Mr. Seresin, your wife said that if Eve isn't in daycare to call her. Should we—"
"I'll take care of it," he said, refusing to take his eyes off his daughter. "Have a good day."
He hurried out of the building to his truck and strapped Eve in her car seat. She stared up at him as he worked on cinching the belt just right.
"Don't look at me like that, baby girl. Mama will forgive Daddy…I think," he said. "Either way, she's going to be so proud of you when we tell her."
He hopped in the front seat and as he started up the truck, he was hit with the realization that, one, he was about to wake his very exhausted wife, and two, he was still expected to work for a living.
"Daddy's gonna have to come up with an excuse to miss work today, too," he mumbled to himself and shifted the gear in reverse. "That'll be fun."
But he didn’t care. He had to tell you what happened, and there was no way he was taking his baby girl back to daycare.

Baby Sainz
Pairing: Carlos Sainz x wife!reader
Warnings: none I guess.
Summary: Y/n and Carlos are more than happy with their happy marriage and their baby girl.
Previous Chapter
Tumblr media
Y/n’s POV
I woke up to the sound of laughter and smiled to myself as I knew what it was, I looked over to see Carlos and our daughter in the armchair in our bedroom, she was lying on his lap with him making faces and she was laughing at him making him laugh along with her.
"I'm jealous." I said to him who looked at me smiling and Evie started looking for me since she heard my voice.
"Good morning love." He gets up coming with her to me and as soon as she sees me she starts moving on his lap. "Ok,ok I know you're hungry."
"Good morning princess." I kissed her forehead and lifted my blouse and she began to eat.
"Good old days when I was the only one who did that.”
"Carlos." I scolded him, laughing.
"I'm serious, now I have to share."
"Stop being silly and lay down here with us." I patted his side of the bed and he sat up. "What time do we have to leave for the track?"
"Are you sure you want to go? I know you're excited to see the race but do you think we should take her along?"
"I'll stay the whole time in your garage and we'll watch the race from there, you don't have to worry about her." He agrees. "Unless you don't think it's a good idea to take her or you think it's not the right time for them to know that she exists."
"It's not that it's just that she's so small and fragile that I'm afraid something will happen to her and about them knowing she exists that's going to happen one time or another so I'd rather they know for us than for some paparazzi’s." He says running his hand through her little hair. "But I know you will take good care of her."
"I will." He smiles and gives me a kiss getting up and going to get ready.
I had already left all her things ready yesterday and already in the car so I just needed to get ready and change her.
Actually my pregnancy was very peaceful until the time of the delivery where I never felt so much pain in my life. Evie was already 6 months old now and besides being her daddy's copy she was for sure daddy's little girl.
She hear his voice and starts screaming of happiness until he shows up and takes her in his arms and Carlos was so much in love with her that even without knowing she already had him in the palm of her hand.
"You go get ready and I'll put the clothes on her."
"I left her clothes separate in the bedroom." He agrees and leaves.
I know he would love the clothes I chose so I just waited until he came back with them. The race was again in Spain and it was hot so I took cool clothes or we would be hot.
"I can't believe it, how did you find these?" He already walks in smiling with a giggling Evie dressed in a bodysuit full of chillys’s.
"I knew you'd like it."
"I didn't like it, I loved it." He says patting her and she giggles.
"Daddy chilly and baby chilly."
"Don't call me daddy."
"Why not?"
"Because it makes me imagine things of which we cannot do in her presence and which would surely result in another baby chilly." I laughed and kissed him. "Can we go?"
"Yep."
We went to the car and after checking to see if we had everything we left in the direction of the circuit.
When we arrived I went down first so I could put her in the stroller and cover her before the people saw that he had arrived, after I got her sleeping inside I pulled the roof off the stroller and put a blanket over her so no one could see her little face and then Carlos went down and got Evie's bags and we started walking into the paddock.
I could already hear the murmuring as they saw me again pushing a stroller and along came Carlos with two golden bags, one on his arm and the other in his hand.
"Hey where's my best friend?" I hear Charles' voice and turn to him.
"She's in here sleeping." He lifts a little off the deck and I hear him talking to her who giggles a little. "Well since she's not sleeping anymore let's go to the garage and then you can pick her up.”
We go in and Charles picks her up and smiles at the sight of her clothes and starts walking with her through parts of the garage where the media wouldn't be able to see while Carlos and I are talking to the staff.
Soon he shows up with her and as soon as she sees Carlos she begins to reach out to him who takes her on his lap and kisses her forehead and lays on his shoulder.
"She looks a lot like him." Charles says as Carlos pulls away a little.
"Yes she is, she has him in the palm of her hand."
"You can tell, look at that." He’s holding her and pretending to throw her up but not letting go and she laughs along with him.
"I never got a chance to thank you for talking to him that time we fought, it made a lot of difference and it helped a lot."
"No need to thank me, I knew he was screwing up and look at him now." He pointed at the two of them playing together. "I was sure he would regret it if he let his fear speak louder because we both know he's a family guy."
"Yeah." I say watching Evie tug at his hair that swayed her in the air. "I don't even know how I could even consider divorcing him."
"Don't think about it, it didn't happen and it was because it shouldn't happen. Live in the now and enjoy your family."
"Thank you Charlie." I gave his cheek a light squeeze who smiled and walked over to them.
"Is everything okay?" He asks as soon as I get close to them and I smile. “Yeah, everything is perfect."
He gives me a kiss and hands me Evie since he needed to get ready for the race. And in the end Charles was right, I had nothing to worry about.

Y/N of Hearts is known all around - both on the Isle and on Auradon - for her fierce temper, and with her heritage it would be more concerning if she didn't have any sort of temper. It wasn't uncommon for her to blow up over the smallest of things, hell she'd even gone up against some of the teachers before and almost against the King himself. There was only one person in the entire world Y/N would never yell at, her girlfriend: Audrey Rose.
The day the barrier had come down and willing villains and VKs were able to pass through was the best day of Y/N's life, finally able to escape from her mother's wrath - something which was always stronger when battling against her own.
When Y/N and Audrey had first met they had both been standoff-ish towards the other but Y/N had quickly grown a soft spot for the preppy, pink princess. The way she never stood for Y/N's bullshit and would always tell her so. The way she was willing to patch Y/N up after a fight. The way she never grew upset or angry at Y/N for little things. The way she actually cared.
And thus a most unlikely friendship formed, a friendship that blossomed into a loving relationship.
Speaking of relationships, it was a week before Y/N and Audrey's one year anniversary and Audrey had brought Evie and Dizzy along with her to the mall to look for gift options and provide Audrey with second opinions. Audrey felt sure jewellery was a safe option; Y/N tended to wear a multitude of accessories at any one time, somehow always making it work without looking too much.
Walking into a jewellery store, Audrey broke away from the other two to look around at what the store had to offer. This store was different to any of the others the girls had been in so far today, almost all the jewellery displayed had some sort of crystal element incorporated into the design.
It was a collection of rings that caught Audrey's eye, specifically one towards the middle of the display case. All the rings were made up of a thin gold that wove itself delicately around different crystals. The one that Audrey had noticed was a crimson red stone labelled 'Red Jasper'.
Audrey called Evie and Dizzy over to where she stood - both of them agreeing the ring was the perfect present for Y/N. Next Audrey waved over a sales employee, asking about price and whether the ring could be wrapped to be bought as a gift.
Five minutes later the three girls were leaving the mall, Audrey carrying her purchase in a small paper bag.
Finally it was the day of Audrey and Y/N's anniversary. Y/N woke up first - deciding to leave her girlfriend in her peaceful slumber - and made her way to the kitchen of their shared apartment, preparing to treat Audrey to breakfast in bed. It wasn't fancy by any means, simply scrambled eggs and toast (cooking was not something that was really taught on The Isle).
Y/N plated two lots of the food, balancing the food and a glass of water on a tray and manoeuvred her way back to the bedroom. Audrey was awake now, the lack of warmth that typically radiated off her girlfriend stirring her from her dreamland. She sat at the vanity across from the bed, brushing out any tangles that had formed in her hair during the night.
Y/N pushed the door close with her foot and pressed a kiss to the crown of Audrey's head as she passed to put the breakfast tray down on the end of their queen-sized bed. Walking back over, Y/N pecked a kiss to the same place as previously before her love turned around on the plush, velvet pink ottoman. "Good morning." Audrey greeted, earning a peck on the lips in reply.
"Morning." Y/N returned the greeting with a soft smile. "Happy anniversary lovely, I'm looking forward to later." 'Later' meant the anniversary date the couple had been planning for a while now, both wanting everything to be perfect.
"Happy anniversary to you too gorgeous. I have something for you." Audrey turned back to face the vanity, reaching into one of the side drawers.
"And I for you." Y/N had moved towards the bedside table next to her side of the bed, pulling out a small black box. Y/N was back in position before Audrey; the box the ring she had bought was in had slipped to the back of the drawer, causing the girl to have to grope around a bit to try and find it.
When Audrey turned back around, Y/N was down on one knee, as if proposing, a small black box sat open in her palm to reveal a ring of gold that intricately wrapped around a soft pink gem. It looked almost the same as the one in the box Audrey held.
Rather than answering Y/N's 'proposal' in words, Audrey pulled out the ring box she'd hidden behind her back, popping it open to reveal the scarlet red stone encased in gold. Seeing the likeness of the rings, the two lovers laughed. They had bought rings from the same set without knowing it. Slipping each other's rings on, Audrey inspected her's closely. It wasn't rose quartz from what she could tell, but she wasn't sure what it was instead.
Noticing the puzzlement on her girlfriend's face, Y/N couldn't help but chuckle. Grabbing both of Audrey's hands she explained:
"The crystal is called Morganite. Supposedly it radiates the energy of love, peace and compassion," adding in a quieter tone, "at least that's what the store employee said." Returning to her normal volume, the girl continued, "It melts boundaries to make everything seem possible. I heard that and I thought it suited us, more importantly I thought it suited you."
Y/N's words brought a warm blush to Audrey's face as she buried it in her hands, while Y/N just looked on lovingly at her partner. There was no doubt in her mind that, come what may, she would stay by Audrey's side until the day she died.

Curl Up and Dye was where you and your mother often spent your Mother-Daughter Day. Unlike most villains, the Queen and King of Hearts actually cared about their kid— only your dad would never be caught dead in a hair salon, no matter what the special occasion. The Queen was getting her signature curls from Lady Tremaine, she didn’t trust Dizzy to do it.
You on the other hand had no problem letting the young girl do your hair, as long as it was pretty you were satisfied. Any style would do, you figured you looked great in anything, anyway. Hair wasn’t your main focus, it was always the makeup. While you rarely put on a full face something about you always was made up. Whether it was just eyeliner, or just lipstick, or some blush, some part of your face was done.
Evie, The Evil Queen, Mal, and Maleficent came into the salon. It was rare for the two older women to be seen together but ever since Evie joined Mal’s gang, the two learned to tolerate each other. Maleficent stopped right in front of you as Dizzy was putting the final touches.
“Are you ready to go?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” You handed Dizzy a ten-dollar tip for herself.
“You bet your head that my daughter is ready.”
“Haven’t you had enough of heads already?” Queen Grimhilde joked as she admired your mother’s hair.
“I’m just saying our girls will do us proud.”
“To think I’ll have my hands on that wand!” Maleficent said excitedly. “Girls! Do your mothers proud.”
You left the shop with Evie and Mal. You were such an odd sight, the three of you. You and Evie made sense but Mal being so overt with her evil didn’t seem to fit with you guys. You girls met up with Jay and Carlos to go over final plans. You left for Auradon tomorrow.
The five of y’all settled into the back of the limo. You had on your mother’s prized crown. It was the possession you chose to take with you to Auradon. You watched in disgust as Jay and Carlos stuffed their faces with candy and chocolate.
“I know that we’ve never had sweets before but you could at least act dignified?” You asked, delicately picking a sour gummy from the bowl Carlos was holding and popped it into your mouth.
“Sorry we weren’t all raised like you, princess? Some of us peasants had to struggle.”
“Not my fault your dad got tricked into a lamp. You know, forget the sweets. I wonder what street rat taste like.”
Jay rolled his eyes and went back to the candy. You weren’t one to spare anyone from your sarcasm and gripe. You were a royal after all, how else should you conduct yourself? Even the gang was subject to your funny yet sometimes relentless and obnoxious roasting.
“Ooh, M, you’re looking a little washed out. Here let me help you.” Evie applied some blush to Mal’s cheeks but she swatted the hand away.
“Eww, stop. I’m plotting.”
“Well, it’s not very attractive.” The blue-haired girl went back to sucking on her piece of rock salt candy.
Mal pressed a button on some random remote, causing you and Evie to look at the little black panel separating you from the driver roll down. That wasn’t the only thing rolling down, so was the barrier… with no bridge.
“IT’S A TRAP!”
You yelled; but, there was nothing you and the VKs could do but scream. And you kept screaming until you realized that you weren’t plummeting to your death. In fact, you weren’t anywhere near the water. The bridge slowly appeared as the limo kept going.
“Hey, um, did this just open the barrier?” You held up the remote and asked the driver.
“That opens my garage door, this remote opens the barrier.” The driver held up a different remote. “And this…”
He pressed a button that made the partition slide back up, blocking you guys from his sight. You scoffed, did he have manners? Mal turned back around and smiled.
“Ha. Nasty… I like that guy.”
You could hear the music before the limo had even fully pulled into campus. Looks like Auradon Prep pulled out all the stops. You weren’t sure why. If only they knew the five of you weren’t planning on staying too long. You stepped out the car and looked to see the mixture of shock and disgust on the faces of three people in front of you. Two of them you recognized: Fairy Godmother and Prince Benjamin. You followed their gaze to where Jay and Carlos were wrestling over who got to have the stolen electronics from the limo, Jay clearly winning. You weren’t surprised. Mal nudged the two of them and they looked over.
“Hehe, just cleaning up,” Jay said.
“Leave it like you found it… actually, just leave it.”
Jay dropped the equipment, and effectively Carlos, and strolled over to the girl whose name you didn’t know.
“Hey, Foxy. The name’s Jay.”
You had to stop yourself from gagging, five minutes at Auradon and he was already trying to get some. The girl looked him up and down, unimpressed.
Same sister, you thought.
“Welcome to Auradon Prep. I’m Fairy Godmother, Headmistress.” The fairy spoke up, saving everyone from embarrassment.
“The Fairy Godmother? As in Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo?” Mal asked.
“No, M, as in Topsy Turvy Too. What other Fairy Godmother’s do you know.” You didn’t even mean to be sarcastic, it just slipped out. Mal gave you a mildly annoyed push while Fairy Godmother looked on smiling.
“Well, Bibbidi-Bobbidi you know it.”
Is she always like this? You thought to yourself as you watched Prince Benjamin usher her away before he addressed you guys.
“Hello, everyone. I’m Ben—”
“Prince Benjamin.” The girl cut him off. Somehow you suddenly just knew she was going to get on your nerves.
“You had me at prince.” Evie stepped up. “I’m Evie. My mother’s a queen so that makes me a princess.”
“The Evil Queen has no jurisdiction here or royal status. And neither do you.”
“I mean neither does that outfit but they still let you wear it out the house.” You muttered under your breath. It wasn’t as quiet as you thought. The other VKs snickered at your comment.
“This is Audrey,” Ben tried to diffuse the situation.
“Princess Audrey. Sleeping Beauty’s daughter and his girlfriend. Right, Benny-Boo?”
You looked over to Mal, the irony wasn’t lost on you at all. This was going to be a great time.
“This will be a momentous occasion and one that I hope will go down in history…” Ben went and shook everyone’s hand. “As the day our two peoples meet and begin to heal.”
You gave him a right proper curtsey to match whatever boisterous speech he just gave.
“A bit much?”
“Just a bit. Next time maybe just you arriving to Auradon Prep will be remembered in history,” you said before shaking his hand.
“Noted.”
“Princess (Y/N) Heart.” You emphasized the princess just to annoy Audrey. Ben didn’t seem fazed or even attempt to correct you like she did to Evie.
“Heart? That’s your last name? I thought it was just a part of Wonderland, the Valley of Hearts.”
Ben didn’t let go of your hand.
“In Wonderland, royals take the last name of where they rule. We rule the Valley of Hearts so, I’m a Heart.”
Audrey was by Ben’s side in an instant. “Well, no one really rules over the Valley of Hearts anymore. Your mother made sure of that with the whole off with your head thing.”
“Aww, and here I thought we might actually be friends… you know we never actually beheaded anyone right? It’s just a saying. Although, I’d be very happy to change that count from zero beheadings to one.”
You finally let go of Ben’s hand. “You gonna show us around or what?”
“Uh, yeah. Right this way.”
Ben signaled to where the front doors and a statue were. Before he could head off to lead the tour, you shrugged and looked over at the VKs giving two snaps to signal it was time to head out. Ben had to run to be in front of the group. Ben stopped in front of the statue. Now that you were closer you could see it was one of King Beast, a man your parents didn’t like at all. He was one that might make the first actual beheading in the Valley of Hearts if your mother ever saw him.
Ben clapped and the statue changed from King Adam’s human form to him in Beast form. You covered your ears as Carlos screamed and jumped into Jay’s arms.
“Relax, Carlos. My dad wanted his statue to change from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible if we try hard enough.”
Carlos made a clapping motion but nothing happened.
“Oh. It only works with the royal family.”
Just because it amused you to try, you clapped your hands. The statue took a minute but it shifted. Everyone turned to look at you.
“Your statue’s broken.”
“Huh.” Ben said nothing else but continued the tour.

Yandere Mal x shy reader x Yandere Evie pls
Yandere Mal X Shy Reader X Yandere Evie Headcanons
Tumblr media
•Mal would love a shy darling. She herself isn’t shy but she’s also not interested in socializing much with anyone but her friends and her darling so this would work out really well for her.
•Evie would also love a shy darling. She’s very bubbly and a total extrovert but a shy darling would really feed into her ego. A darling who clings to Evie like their protector would be perfect.
•Mal is definitely the more dominant of the two yanderes. She always holds your hand in to keep you close to her and uses her reputation and fearsome aura to keep others away. When you’re with Mal no one will come to bother you in the cafeteria or bump into you in the halls.
•Evie is different. When you’re with her people will probably come up to her because she’s just so nice. On one hand Evie doesn’t like how uncomfortable you get but she does like when you hide yourself in her side and ask so sweetly to go somewhere else.
•Between the two of them you’ll never feel alone. Evie is always happily bouncing by your side and talking a million miles an hour about all the latest gossip while Mal walks beside you glaring at any passerby’s and ensuring you’re ok at any given moment.
•They both love to listen to you talk. Wether you rarely speak or have a very quiet voice they’ll eat it up all the same. Both will encourage you in whatever you say and hang onto your every word and every cute expression.
•Lots of dorm dates. They kick Carlos and Jay out so it’ll just be the three of you and you can have fun without worrying too much. Wether it’s spa nights courtesy of Evie or magic shows courtesy of Mal, it always ends with the three of you crammed into one bed and with a very happy princess and dragon.

MEET THE BROTHERS – Quinn Hughes x single mom!reader

warnings: literally nothing major, just heartwarming fluff. Quinn being the best, use of y/n, y/n/n, nicknames like bug, sweetheart and princess.

"Sweetheart, the place looks fine!"
You unplugged the hoover as you stood up, your hair tussled while Quinn carefully approached you. Your nerves were shot from the moment you'd found out that the entirety of the Hughes family was coming to stay for the weekend. Jack and Luke would be flying in around one o'clock in the afternoon whilst Jim and Ellen would only be arriving at nine that night.
To say you were stressed would be an understatement.
Due to the fact you'd only been dating Quinn for almost a year, you'd only briefly met his parents and brothers over FaceTime. Quinn had opted to spend Christmas with you and Evie instead of going home so when his parents and brothers had suggested to come visit two months later, he brought up the idea to you and you'd agreed immediately.
Despite being ridiculously anxious about meeting his parents and family, you knew how important it was for Quinn to see his family.
"It's dusty," you eventually huffed, pushing a stray hair behind your ear, groaning in frustration as it fell back in front of your face. Hot tears welled in your eyes as Quinn stepped closer, his hands cupping your face, one pushing back your hair for you.
"The place is spotless," he assured you, trying to ease the nerves he knew were beginning to overspill. "Why don't you go check on Evie and I'll finish off this, hm?"
"What if they don't like me?" You whispered almost shamefully, your head ducking. It felt like a rather childish thing to ask, but the answer haunted you. It had haunted you since Quinn had first brought up his family.
Quinn cracked a smile, a soft chuckle breaking through his lips as he tilted your chin up gently with his thumb. "They're going to adore you, just like I do. Trust me, you've got nothing to worry about," he said with unwavering confidence.
You couldn't help but let out a small laugh, despite the knot of anxiety still twisting in your stomach. Quinn had this way of making everything seem a little less daunting, a little more manageable.
"Okay," you relented, giving him a grateful smile. "I'll go check on Evie then." Quinn pressed a kiss to your lips as you moved around him, handing the hoover to him.
As you made your way to Evie's room, you couldn't shake off the nervous energy entirely, but Quinn's words echoed in your mind, providing a sense of comfort. Deep down, you knew he was right...but what if he wasn't? What if they thought you were some gold digger or some kind of manipulator? You'd heard both insults so many times from the moms at Evie's preschool and comments online, the thought made the tears return to your eyes.
Entering Evie's room, you found her surrounded by her toys, her face lighting up as soon as she saw you. "Mama!" she exclaimed, reaching out her arms for a hug. You scooped her up, burying your face in her soft curls, feeling a sense of calm wash over you.
"Jack and Luke are going to be here soon," You explained softly, rocking your girl in your arms as she fiddled with your hair. You smoothed down her multicoloured tutu with a smile. "You dress yourself, baby?" Evie hummed happily and lifted her head from your shoulder.
"Princess skirt," She said rather solemnly causing you to mimic her seriousness.
"Oh, I agree, very nice choice," You nodded, kissing her nose as she scrunched it, her tiny hands against your cheeks.
As you carried Evie into the living room, Quinn was diligently tidying up, a determined look on his face. He glanced up as you and Evie approached, a warm smile spreading across his features.
"Hey, you two," he greeted, his voice filled with affection. "How's my favourite duo doing?" Evie giggled in response, her tiny arms reaching out towards Quinn from your arms. "Up!"
Quinn chuckled, lifting Evie into his arms effortlessly. "Sure thing, sweetheart," he replied, pressing a kiss to her cheek before setting her down on the couch to crouch in front of her. "I love the princess skirt."
Evie looked towards you almost pointedly as you shook your head in amusement. With a glance at the clock, you realised it was almost time for Jack and Luke's arrival. Your heart fluttered nervously, but you pushed aside your worries, focusing on the excitement of finally meeting Quinn's brothers face to face.
As the minutes ticked by, the sound of a knock from the hall caught your attention. Quinn glanced at you, a reassuring smile on his lips. "Here we go," he murmured, squeezing your hand gently. He stood up and looked at you with a calm grin. "Breathe, y/n/n, they'll love you."
You took a deep breath, summoning all the courage you could muster as Quinn made his way towards the door. With Quinn by your side and Evie's hand in yours, you approached the door, ready to welcome the Hughes family into your home and into your heart.
You heard them before you saw them. Jack and Luke's cheers as Quinn greeted them, echoed through the big apartment causing Evie to jump at the noise, her hand pulling away from yours to run towards the sound in curiosity. You watched as her little feet padded towards the hall and the sight alone pulled you toward her.
"Oh, hello!"
As you turned the corner to the hall your eyes instantly landed on Jack and Luke both of whom had bent down to face Evie, who had tucked herself near Quinn's side.
"Hi there, sweetheart!" Jack exclaimed, his voice warm and friendly as he reached out to ruffle Evie's hair gently. "What's your name?" You were well aware that Jack knew your daughter's name but was more than likely doing this whole charade to put her at ease.
Evie's cheeks flushed pink with shyness as she glanced up at the towering figures of Jack and Luke. She took a hesitant step back, her fingers curling around the hem of her princess skirt. "Evie," she mumbled softly, barely audible and so different from the vivacious toddler you knew.
Luke's eyes softened as he knelt to Evie's level, offering her a gentle smile. "Evie?...that's a pretty name," he said, his tone gentle and reassuring. "My name's Luke, and this is Jack."
Evie peeked up at them, her eyes wide with curiosity and a hint of timidness. She hesitated for a moment before offering a shy smile in return. "Hi," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jack and Luke exchanged a glance, their expressions softening as they exchanged a silent understanding. They could sense Evie's shyness and were determined to make her comfortable.
"We heard you were here so we got you a little something" Jack spoke, his voice delicate as he gestured to a small bag atop the boys' luggage.
"For me?" Evie's eyes lit up with excitement at the mention of a possible, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. You watched with your lip between your teeth as she nodded eagerly, her shyness momentarily forgotten as she took the bag from Jack's hand, her grip tiny yet determined.
Quinn watched the interaction with a fond smile, his heart swelling with affection for both Evie and his brothers. He knew how nervous you had been about meeting his family, especially for Evie, but seeing them interact so seamlessly warmed his heart.
"Ted, Mom, Ted!" Evie brandished the soft brown teddy in the air, gesturing it towards you. Jack and Luke's eyes finally met your own, their smiles widening as Jack straightened up and approached you.
"Thanks for getting him to agree to us coming," Jack commented, rolling his eyes at Quinn who whacked his shoulder. "It's nice to finally meet you in person." Before you could answer, he pulled you into a swift hug.
"Nice to meet you—you too Luke," you smiled sheepishly, glancing towards the youngest Hughes. "Evie and I couldn't wait any longer, she loves watching you guys play."
Jack looked back at Evie, who was playing with her teddy already with Luke. "We didn't want to come empty-handed," he scratched his head awkwardly. You looked down at Evie with a fond smile as Luke chatted away animatedly with her.
"She loves it," you reassured him, glancing at the teddy clutched between her shirt fingers. "You and Luke are bunking in Evie's room tonight if that's alright? She's going to crash with us."
"Room?" Evie's narrowed eyes shot towards you. You watched as Quinn picked her up with a soft chuckle.
"Yeah, bug," Quinn hummed, "Jack and Luke have to stay in your room for the weekend, which means," he drawled out his words, tickling Evie's stomach as she giggled. "—you get to have a sleepover with us!"
"Show Giant room!" Evie suddenly burst, jumping in Quinn's arms, her hands pointed toward Luke. Jack, Quinn, and you all stifled your laughter at Evie's nickname for the youngest Hughes.
Luke took Evie from his brother's arms, letting her cling to him. "You can show me your room," he nodded, as Evie began to babble. Evie chattered excitedly as she pointed Luke down the hallway to her room, her tiny hand clutching his finger as if he were her lifeline. You followed behind as Quinn and Jack talked amongst each other. A smile tugged at your lips as you watched the two of them bond almost effortlessly, with both of them sporting a cheery smile.
"Wow, this is a pretty big room you've got here, Evie," Luke remarked, his eyes scanning the colourful decorations adorning the walls and the toys that had been tidied to make room for a blow-up mattress as well as a camp bed.
"Sorry about the bed situation," You grimaced, "Your mom and dad have dibs on the spare room."
"I don't mind," Luke told you, shooting you a grateful glance as Evie tugged at his curls to get his attention.
Evie pointed proudly, her chest puffed out with pride. "My room," she declared, pointing to various toys and stuffed animals scattered around the room. "And Giant Luke room now!"
Luke chuckled, his heart melting at Evie's innocence and enthusiasm. "That's right," he agreed with a grin, ruffling her hair affectionately. "I'm honoured to stay here, Your Majesty."
Evie giggled, her eyes sparkling with joy as she wrapped her arms around Luke's neck in a tight hug. "Funny Giant!" she exclaimed, her laughter echoing through the room.
As you watched the two of them play, a sense of warmth filled your heart. Despite your initial worries about how Evie would react to Quinn's family, it was clear that she had already formed a special bond with Luke. And seeing them interact so naturally and happily together filled you with a sense of gratitude and relief.
"Looks like you've made a new friend," you remarked with a smile, stepping closer to Luke and Evie.
Luke nodded, his eyes shining with affection as he looked down at Evie. "I think I have," he said softly, his voice filled with warmth. "She's quite the little charmer, isn't she?"
You chuckled, nodding in agreement. "She definitely has a way of winning people over," you grinned fondly, reaching out to ruffle Evie's hair. Quinn and Jack's voice grew closer as they entered the room,
"Looks like you two are getting along well," Quinn observed with a grin as he entered the room, followed by Jack who was sporting a playful smirk.
"Yeah, Luke's already been crowned 'Funny Giant'," you chuckled, watching as Evie giggled and hugged Luke tightly.
Jack let out a hearty laugh, clapping Luke on the back. "Sounds about right," he joked, shooting a fond glance at his brother and the little girl. "Looks like we've got a few new members of the family, eh?"
Quinn smiled, his eyes reflecting the happiness that filled the room as your heart swelled with joy. "Looks like it," he agreed, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close. "And I couldn't be happier."
You leaned into Quinn's embrace, feeling a sense of contentment wash over you. Despite your initial nerves and worries, it seemed that everything was falling into place beautifully. And as you looked around at the smiling faces of your newfound family, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and warmth that surrounded you.
With the Hughes family settling in for the weekend, you knew that there would be plenty of laughter, love, and memories to be made. And as you watched Evie playfully chase Luke around the room, you couldn't help but feel excited for the adventures that lay ahead.
As the evening turned into night, you tucked Evie into her smaller bed that had been pushed into your room, her eyes heavy with sleep as she clutched her new teddy tightly. Quinn stood by your side, his hand intertwined with yours as you watched over your daughter with a sense of love and gratitude.
"Goodnight, princess," you whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to Evie's forehead.
"Night, Mama," Evie mumbled sleepily, her eyes fluttering closed as she snuggled into her pillow.
With a smile, you turned off the light and quietly closed the door behind you, leaving Evie to drift off into dreams filled with laughter and love. As you made your way back to the living room, you found Quinn waiting for you, a soft smile on his lips.
"Everything okay?" he asked, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting embrace.
You nodded, leaning into his embrace. . "I think this weekend is going to be okay,” you replied, pressing a kiss to Quinn's lips.
Quinn smiled, his eyes filled with love and happiness. "I think so too," he agreed, squeezing your hand gently. "And hey, whatever happens, I’ve got you, alright?"
You smiled back, feeling a sense of peace settle over you. "Alright," you said softly, leaning into Quinn's embrace. "We've got each other."
With that, you settled into the embrace of the man you loved, knowing that no matter what the weekend brought, you would face it together, as a family. And as you closed your eyes, your face buried into the nape of his neck, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and happiness that filled your home.

Likes, comments and reblogs are always welcome ❤ I do not give anyone permission to copy my work 💫💞
The first thing y/n notices when she wakes up is that Eddie is gone. She was kind of hoping to get a few sleepy cuddles with Eddie before Evie woke up.
Evie was everything to her and Eddie, their sweet little girl was just one year old and Eddie doted on her. He was an amazing father and Evie was his mini-me.
When Evie batted her big brown eyes at Eddie he melted and would give her anything she wanted. He was wrapped around her little finger.
Y/n smiles as she hears Evie giggling and knows immediately that she and Eddie were getting up to some mischief.
"Shh, my little princess. We don't wanna wake mama up". She hears Eddie say to Evie and finds them both in the longue.
She stifles a smirk because if any of Eddie's friends could see him now they would be stunned.
It turns out Eddie and Evie were playing dress-up or at least Eddie was if the tiara on his head was anything to go by.
No, not dress up it was a mini Dungeons and Dragons adventure.
Evie's cuddly dragon Dustin bought her is on the floor beside them as well as one of the d & d manuals. Eddie notices she's awake and blushes.
"Sorry baby, we didn't mean to wake you," he tells her smiling sheepishly and she just melts because of the way Evie was looking at her daddy with such love and the lengths Eddie would go to, to make Evie smile was the sweetest thing.
"It's okay I wouldn't want to miss this what's the adventure this time?". She settles down beside Eddie and Evie beams shouting. "Mama".
Y/n sighs content glad that she had woken up for this and gently kisses Evie's soft little cheeks.
"Angel, our princess just rescued me from the clutches of an evil dragon, it was totally metal huh princess?" he coos to Evie who's holding up said Dragon and yawning sleepily.
"I think all that rescuing tired her out Ed's come on. Let's all go back to bed". She picks Evie up who's fast asleep by the time she and Eddie settle her down.
They watch her for a few moments as she sleeps peacefully.
Eddie's arms wrap around her waist and he gently kisses her neck. "She's amazing isn't she sweetheart?". She agrees so full of love for Evie and Eddie.
"She is. So are you Ed's. You're an incredible daddy. The bond you and Evie have is the cutest". He kisses her forehead.
"I love you so much my princess. Having you and Evie, my two girls. Jesus I'm the luckiest man on the planet".
She kisses him. "I love you too Ed's but I think Evie and I are the lucky ones". They head back to their bedroom for some sleepy cuddles and a lot of kisses.
Ty so much for the request @borhapgirlforlife19 ❤ I enjoyed writing this so much ❤

“Matt? … Matt?” You call out from across the room trying to get your husband’s attention.
He doesn’t reply so you try again. “Matt?”
“Mhm?” Shaking his head as if he was in deep thought
“You okay?” You ask, noticing the way he looks slightly dazed.
“Yeah, yeah.” Smiling at you.
“Please can you get Eve ready while I finish putting up the streamers?” You ask, balancing all the party decorations in your arms.
“Of course.” Kissing your cheek sweetly. “Evie, daddy will find you… I can smell chocolate melting in your hands.” Playfully whispering as he tiptoes around the living room.
Giggling comes from under the sofa and Matt pretends not to know where it was coming from. “I just can’t find her anywhere. Mommy? Have you seen Evie? I just can’t find her.”
“No, I haven’t seen her.” You play along, smiling to yourself as you stuck decorations to the wall. “But I do hear a noise coming from over there, can you hear it too?”
Her sweet squeals get louder as Matt gets closer. “I think I hear her.” Bending down to the floor. “I found you princess. Now let’s get ready missy.” He says sweetly as he picks her up to place her on his shoulders. “What dress do you want to wear today?”
Grinning to yourself as you laid the table in the garden outside; setting it with plates, hats and helium balloons. Luckily it was a warm sunny day, so you didn’t have to worry about the decorations flying away. Quietly singing to yourself as you stroked over your bump.
Matt and Eve return with huge smiles, almost too suspicious. “What you both up to?” Eyes squinted as you narrowed in on them.
“Nothing.” They answered in sync like they had practiced it.
“Mhmm… I don’t believe you.” Sweetly squeezing their cheeks and giving them both a kiss.
“Saved by the bell.” Matt smugly responds, kissing your lips a few times before answering the door.
A stampede of little footsteps and giggles bustle through the house into the garden. All the kids jump in excitement as they look at all the decorations. “Hey, kiddos.” You say sweetly, kissing all their heads.
Foggy, Marci, Karen and Frank follow after with defeated looks on their faces, holding stacks of gifts and food. “Hi, guys.” Warmly greeting them all, and pulling them in for individual hugs.
Matt returns from the kitchen with some non-alcoholic beverages, handing them out to the adults. “If only they were real.”
The kids loudly play together in the sandbox as you and Matt catch up with the adults. Everyone has been so busy recently, so it was nice to finally see them all again.
“How far along are you now?” Marci asks before taking a sip of her bottle.
“I’m about twenty-nine weeks now.” You reply, stroking over your belly.
“Is it better this time around?” Karen asks.
“Yes and no, my morning sickness isn’t as bad as when I was pregnant with Eve, but he makes me pee a lot more.”
Looking over, you see a warm and pure smile on Matt’s face, a smile so sincere and genuine that it could turn your insides to mush.
You turn your attention to the kids behind who were squealing while playing a make-believe game, watching them in awe. Turning back around you see Matt had disappeared. Interrupting their conversation you ask “where’d Matt go?”
“I didn’t see him leave.” Foggy says, placing his bottle on the table.
“I think he went inside.” Frank replied, wrapping his arm over Karen’s shoulder to pull her closer.
“He went through that way.” Karen pointed to the far back door.
“You okay to watch the kids while I check on Matt?” You ask.
“Of course.” Foggy smiled.
Making your way back into the house you see Matt in the kitchen leaning against the counter.
“Hey.” You say slowly, stepping closer to him. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” Brushing you off with a smile.
“Matt?” You gently push.
“I just keep having these dreams… and I can’t stop thinking about them.” He slowly replies.
“Are they bad dreams?” You ask, brushing a hand over his arm.
“No- they’re good ones. I just see things, and they make me reminisce.”
“See them?” You question.
“Not see, but- In those dreams, I’d see our whole life together.” Wrapping his arms around you, pecking the crown of your head.
“What do you see in them?” You mumble against his chest.
“Everything… I’d see where we met, the day I proposed to you by that lake… our wedding, even. And how you told me you were expecting Eve, in my dreams I’d still be just as shocked.” Pausing to laugh, like he was remembering the memory. “I nearly collapsed on the bench, do you remember?”
“Oh yeah.” You laugh hard. “I still remember the look on your face.”
“It was pure shock… but in a good way.” Embracing you tighter.
“What else do your dream about?” You ask.
“The Christmas party we had, when Foggy and I made Frank wear those awful sweaters. I remember how much bribery it took for him to put it on… Also, Eve’s first steps- right there.” Pointing to the rug by the sofa. “Her first day at big school.”
“You were more scared than she was.” You lovingly tease.
“I know, I was a wreck.” He chuckles. “It might sound stupid… but, I sometimes dream about our future too- like I can vividly see it.”
“You can?“
“Mhmm. I can see us out there on the deck swing, and how happy we are. Eve and baby boy here have left the nest but they come over for dinner every week.”
“Do they have their own families?” You ask, genuinely intrigued.
“Yep. Eve is with Frank and Karen’s eldest son, they even have their own kids.”
“We’re grandparents?” Smiling against his chest.
“Oh yeah. They even become great friends with their grandchildren.” Nodding his head outside to his friends who were laughing and chatting.
“I love it.” Reaching up to kiss him tenderly.
“Me too.” Stroking your hair. “We should get back to the party.”
“Oh! Let’s do the cake.” You excitedly say, unboxing the unicorn cake.
Matt passes you the matches as if he already knows what you need. “Can you ask one of them to record?”
He rushes outside to tell the group while you lit the candles, slowly making your way to the garden. Matt runs back and holds the cake with you as you rejoin the party. Everyone sings happy birthday as you and Matt walked out to celebrate your daughter's fifth birthday. It was like everything was in slow motion. Mentally taking pictures of the joy on everyone’s faces and captivating the way they all personally congratulated Eve and hugged her.
Holding Matt by his side, hugging your husband. Truly admiring everything you had both accomplished. You loved your life and the people in it and you didn’t want this moment to end but with Matt’s stories about the future, you couldn’t help but feel excited for all the other years to come.

A Princess in Goodness Class?
Summary: Mal and the VKs come to the island of Auradon, expecting prissy princesses and princes. But when Evie finds one that’s not like the rest, she’s determined to set Mal up.
Pairings: Mal x Fem!Reader, Evie x Reader (platonic), Ben x Reader (best friends, platonic obvi)
Genre: Holy Trinity (Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort)
Warnings: Homophobia (the word d*ke is used a lot by a bitchy blonde boy), mean parents, near death about three times, Maleficent is truly evil.
A/N: Reader is designed like me (masc-presenting, but with pressure to be fem). Also, I know that Amphitrite and Poseidon are a thing, but in this timeline, they are not. Also also, gods genes are so fucked that familial relationships by bloodline don’t exist, so... keep that in mind :)

*not my gif*
You hated school. Absolutely hated it. You were one of the only Auradon Kids that acted like a Villain Kid, doing anything you could to miss school. However, the motivation of your overbearing Mom was enough to keep you inside.
But you were pleasantly surprised to find yourself in the same chemistry class as the Evil Queen’s daughter, funnily named Evie, and you sat next to her whilst Doug sat on the other side.
You had an agreement with your teachers - get the work done, and then you can go do what you like. But, your Mom had her own rules too; you would not be able to enter the ocean until the final bell rang, which she would know since she claimed she could always see you.
So, like it or not, you had to suffer through chemistry.
Until…
“Hey. Hey. Oy.”
You ignored the VK until she pulled out your earbud, earning her a glare from you. “What?”
“Who’s the next in line here? For a throne?” She asked you, and you rolled your eyes.
“Couldn’t care less.”
“Just tell me who.” She begged, and you sighed, looking around the room.
“Chad Charming. Son of Prince Charming and Cinderella. Absolute airhead, don’t know what he’s doing in Chem.” You grumbled, noticing the teacher come up into your view.
“Y/N, can you tell me the atomic weight of Silver?” He asked you as he caught you talking.
“107.8682.” You answered.
“Nerd.” Chad remarked, the VK looking at you for a response.
She watched as a grin came upon your lips before a greenish-blue hue enveloped your irises, her head turning at the sound of Chad screeching and now had water stains on his pants.
“What the hell, Salacia?!” He growled at you, but you stuck out your tongue.
“Salacia?” Evie looked at you as Chad left, intrigued.
You smirked at Evie and simply put your earbud back in your ear, finishing your last question before handing in the work and leaving.
“See you later, Queenie.” You said as you ducked out of the room.
She turned to Doug, watching his answers carefully. “Who’s she?”
“Y/N? Daughter of Amphitrite.” He shrugged.
“Amphi-what-a?” Evie stammered.
“Amphitrite. You know…?” Doug made a wave gesture with his hands but Evie still didn’t get it.
“Amphitrite is the Queen of the Seas. Y/N is the princess.”
Evie’s eyes widened with intrigue, coincidentally timed with the ring of the recess bell, and she sprinted out of the room to find Mal.
“M!” She found her by the gardens, drawing in her sketchbook.
“Hey, E.” The half-fae smiled at her. “What’s up?”
“I found the perfect match for you!” She squealed, sitting down with her mirror in hand.
“Mirror Mirror in my hand, show me Y/N Salacia.”
The glass swirled before your face came onto it, a focused turn in your lips whilst the background seemed familiar. Evie and Mal looked up and saw you walking across the garden, heading straight for the swimming pool.
“Let’s go!” Evie tried to pull Mal up onto her feet, but failed.
“No. I’m trying to stay focused on our mission.” Mal scowled, but it lessened as her friend gave her a knowing look.
“What? You think by drawing the wand over and over it’ll magically appear in your hand?”
Mal glared at Evie before her eyes drifted to you as you stepped into the pool centre. “Okay, fine.”
Evie squealed once more before dragging Mal to the centre, opening the door to the stench of pool chemicals. She led Mal to the side as she heard your voice chattering away, a gurgled version of multiple voices coming back.
“Hey hey hey, I know you all like the Surface World, but one at a time, please!” You chuckled, waiting for your siblings to get in line.
One by one, they asked you about school, your job as the pool cleaner, how your friends were. You had no answers for the last question, as they were interrupted by the sound of talking behind you.
“Who’s there?” You questioned sternly, pushing your hand through the mirage to make it stop.
You threw a spurt of water around the corner and two voices came back, one a familiar-toned squeal and another a brand new growl. You stepped around the corner to face Evie and her friend, the infamous Mal.
“Hey Queenie. What are ya doing here?” You folded your arms, cocking your head to the side.
“Um… Nothing?” She offered.
“Hmm. Seems like you were eavesdropping.”
“And so what if we were?” Mal snapped back, making you grin.
“Nice to meet you too, Mal.”
“Who were you talking to?” Evie asked.
“My family.”
“And where are they?”
“Under the sea.”
Mal frowned at your short responses. “So why aren’t you under the sea too?”
“Because I have to learn how to be a princess, according to Mom.” You retorted. “They don’t really have that kind of schooling beneath the Surface World.”
Mal sighed as she had to take off her soaked jacket, glaring at you whilst Evie stepped in front of her. “So, now that we’re all friends, can we all play nice?”
You looked down at your phone. “Well, I actually have a class with you two.”
Evie snatched your phone from your hands, seeing the ‘Remedial Goodness’ title. “You, a princess, are taking a Goodness class?”
“What can I say? I don’t like being a pretty little thing for people to stare at.” You shrugged, taking back your phone as you grabbed your backpack.
“So, are we going or not?”
---
Your brain felt like it was melting within your skull as you stared at the new writing Fairy Godmother wrote on the chalkboard.
“Question 1: If someone hands you a crying baby, do you: A) Curse it? B) Lock it in a tower? C) Give it a bottle? Or D) Carve out its heart?”
You were falling asleep at this point, looking over at Evie hopelessly when she asked for option B again. You also glared at Fairy Godmother, because you knew that not only was this compulsory, but punishment for bursting the pipes in the girls bathrooms.
“Mal?” Fairy Godmother pointed at the purple-haired girl.
“C, give it a bottle.” She replied without a thought.
“You are on fire, girl!” Carlos remarked.
“Just pick the one that sounds the least fun.” She shrugged, earning an ‘ah’ from all of them.
“Miss G? When can I go home?” You raised your hand so that the bend of your wrist was no higher than the width of your chemistry textbook.
“When you finish filling out the blanked words on your sheet.” She passive-aggressively retorted.
You looked down at your sheet and sighed. “Miss G, it’s in English.”
She came up to your table and gasped in light shock. “So it is! I’ll have someone fix it for you.”
“You can’t read English?” Mal scoffed as Fairy Godmother got a runner to print your sheet properly.
“Can you read Ancient Greek?” You remarked, smirking at her silence.
“I thought not.”
After filling out your sheet, now in Ancient Greek, you handed it over and grabbed your backpack. “Later, VKs.”
“Bye, Y/N! Hope to see you in chemistry!” Evie waved goodbye whilst Jay and Carlos fawned over you.
The boys quickly sprinted out of the room whilst Fairy Godmother reconsidered having you in their class, the two catching up quite quickly. “Y/N! Y/N, wait!”
You spun around on your toes by your locker. “Hey, guys.”
They both scrambled over talking to you, but then a hand came to yours and spun you back around, Chad now in your space. “Ready for our date?”
“What ‘date’?” You scoffed.
“Chemistry. Come on, Y/N, a princess has to do some work to earn her title.” He smirked.
You dropped your books into your locker and his eyes widened when yours glowed, water wrapping around his waist before he was dunked into the fountain. When he rose, you were standing in front of him.
“Get it through your thick skull, asshole! I don’t like boys!” You snarled.
“You sick dyke!” He snarled back, only to get a fist to the face.
“Y/N!”
You turned at Fairy Godmother’s shout of your name, scowling at her but she could see the hurt in your glowing eyes. She walked down to you calmly as your breathing moved your torso, her hand coming to your shoulder in comfort.
“Chad, apologise.” She demanded as he stood, soaked.
“I’m sorry, Y/N.” He mumbled, shy under the gaze of the powerful woman.
You scoffed without a word as he left, knowing he didn’t really mean it whilst your attention fell to Fairy Godmother. “Y/N, I’m sorry, but that’s another week of Goodness class.”
“But-!” You protested, yet she silenced you.
“I know. He will get punished. But your mother gave strict instructions to-”
You stormed away from her, clouds threatening above with thunder and lightning. Mal and Evie watched as you made your way to the grounds, magic shooting up your body to dress yourself in the school’s tourney uniform.
“She’s on the team?!” Carlos and Jay shouted in unison.
---
After the game, in which you were taken down by a Sherwood Falcon player, you left before Ben did his little performance shtick to Mal. You were sitting in the nurse’s office, quietly healing your rib with a cup of water, before the door barged open and you lost focus.
“Hey, Y/N- oh, that looks nasty.” Evie cut herself off.
“Yes, and I was trying to heal it.” You grumbled, looking down at the water in dismay and annoyance.
“Crying over spilt water?” Mal jeered, but she didn’t get a playful glare from you.
“It’s seawater. I need it when I’m injured otherwise- Agh!” You winced, lifting your shirt to see the dark purple bruise on your torso again.
“Damn, that looks bad. What is it?” Mal questioned, coming closer.
“Broken rib. I need to heal it properly before it screws up.” You gestured for her to move back before you tried to lift the water off of the ground.
“Agh!” You winced again, not noticing the concern in Mal’s eyes.
“Can you just… go to my room? There’s a tank of seawater there.” You handed over the cup to Evie.
“Magic Mirror, take me to Y/N’s room.” She asked it as it rested in her palm, leaving promptly.
You slowly took off the rest of your padding before you felt light fingers on your torso, seeing Mal’s glowing eyes scanning your ribs.
“What do you think you’re doing?” You warned, glaring your own magical eyes.
“Just be still.” She grumbled, placing a hand over the bruise.
You felt your magic connect to hers, watching her eyes glisten like your own before you jumped back. The feeling in your chest had frazzled you, concern in her eyes. “Y/N? Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay.” You looked down to see your bruise reduced to light blue, green and yellow.
“What was that-?”
“I’m back!” Evie barged through the door again, holding the cup of full seawater to your delight.
“Oh, thanks, Queenie!” You hugged her one-sidedly and took the water into your hand, holding it by your torso before it glowed.
When your hand pulled away, Mal and Evie were shocked to see the bruise completely gone. You let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding, before you slid off your jersey to hear two short gasps.
“You can look. I’m confident in my body, unlike the other girls that go here.”
Whilst Evie watched Mal, Mal watched you. The way your muscles moved underneath your skin, how your broad shoulders held your stature. She really only averted her eyes when your shirt blocked her view, the grey simplicity and the Auradon Prep logo on your breast pocket snapping her out of her thoughts.
“I will see you girls, uh… at a later date.” You shrugged, leaving the nurse’s office.
Evie grinned as Mal watched you leave, a squeal leaving the navy-haired girl. “You were gawking!”
“I was not.” Mal grumbled.
Evie simply kept the memory to herself as she guided Mal back to their room.
----
A knock came to your door and when you opened it, you grinned. “Hey, Princey.”
“Hey, Y/N.” Ben grinned at you.
“What do ya need?”
“A friend. And some help.” He continued when you raised your eyebrows.
“I thought so. You have plenty of that first part.”
“Yeah, but you’re my best friend.”
You smirked as you sat back down at your desk, picking your pencil back up to continue your Latin homework. “Like I said before, what do you need my help with?”
“Can you help me set up a date with Mal?”
You looked back up at him. “You’re gonna ask her out?”
“Yeah. Why not? We’re already going to the coronation together.” He shrugged.
“Alright. Where are you gonna take her?”
He hesitated. “The Enchanted Lake.”
You gasped playfully. “That’s my spot, you dork!”
He chuckled. “You don’t mind that I’m gonna use it for a bit?”
“No, it’s fine.” You grinned.
With your magic, you helped Ben plan his wonderful date. The picnic was all set up on the ruined stone, many fruits and sweets alike being transported by your magic. You eventually heard him coming, Mal’s giggles echoing on the rocks, and you silently dove into the water.
At your command, your legs merged into your tail, a creamy seafoam colour at the top that faded into a bright sea green comparable to the shallow of a cove. Your chest stayed covered in your clothes, the material now floating aimlessly in the water, before you came to rest behind the rocks per Ben’s request.
However, what wasn’t under your command was the tiara that came upon your head, adorned with pearls and gems alike. You hated wearing it, but it was a part of your form, so you had no choice.
The date went well, as far as you knew. You saw Ben come into your view as he climbed around the rocks, looking down at you.
*Can you get the glowy rock for me, please?* He asked and you sighed.
*Go on.*
As he jumped into the water, you controlled the currents to bring it to him. Suddenly, a melodic voice echoed around you and you turned to see Mal as the origin of it.
Her voice soared up and down the octaves, the painful but beautiful song hitting you right in the heart. How could this girl be so evil yet so… alluring?
“If only…” She sang a few times, your voice compelled to join at a lower octave so as to not let her hear you.
When she came to face the lake, you shuffled back and watched her sit. Suddenly though, you realised that Ben had been gone for too long.
*Ben? Where are you?*
*Still searching for it. Just wait a second.* He replied in your mind, but Mal didn’t have a second as she dove into the water, thrashing about.
*Ben, get your ass back here! Mal doesn’t know how to swim!*
*What?! But she lives on an island!*
*With a barrier!*
You watched painfully as Mal continued thrashing about, her head ducking under the water a few times until she began to sink. Air bubbles began to surface and your eyes began to flicker, the water swirling around you.
*Crap! I can see her but I’m too far away!*
*Fuck it.* You swore, diving into the water.
It was just as clear as above the surface, if not clearer, and you swam over to Mal. Her eyes were fluttering, half-closed, and you looked back up at the surface. Even if you wanted to, she could suffer altitude sickness - the Enchanted Lake was mysterious in that way.
So, you did the only logical thing you could think of.
You kissed her.
You felt your magic pour into it as it changed your carbon dioxide breath into life-giving oxygen, whilst you slowly swam her up to the surface. When you breached it and laid her down on the stone, she began to cough and you pulled away.
“Hold still, Mal.” You murmured, your hand hovering over her chest.
Her half-open eyes watched as water drained carefully from her lungs, not a scratch in her throat as you threw away the ball which not-so-coincidentally hit Ben in the face. He watched as Mal registered your presence, looking down to see your tail hanging over the side.
“What the hell?! What are you doing here?!” She snapped at you.
“Saving your life, apparently.” You barked back.
“I asked her to be here.” Ben interrupted your fight, watching your eyes wander away from her.
“Are you okay?”
“You scared me!” She hit his arm. “And now, I’m soaking wet!”
“Y/N can fix that for you if you want-”
“Nuh-uh. Prissy princess can go back to her stupid lake and stop creeping on dates!” She gestured to your tiara.
Mal watched you fume, but like Fairy Godmother, she saw hurt in your eyes. Much more than when Chad called you a dyke.
“Mal, that’s not fair.” Ben scolded lightly, but you put a hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t.” You calmly stated.
Mal watched as you shuffled off of the stone, noticing how the tips of your tail were creamy like the top of it before you disappeared underwater.
“Mal, that wasn’t nice. Y/N is my best friend.” He sighed in defeat.
“Yeah, well…” She trailed off, not knowing what to say.
Both of them felt the awkwardness on the ride back to school.
----
At your next Goodness class, you sat awkwardly as the four VKs talked to their parents. Whilst they were occupied, you watched Fairy Godmother sit down next to you, looking at your drawing of your tiara.
“Do you know if Amphitrite will be attending Family Day, Y/N?” She asked you sweetly.
“She never comes. Why should I bother asking her again?” You shrugged.
“What about Poseidon? Maybe one of your siblings?”
Mal turned around as Carlos conversed with his mum, noticing your frustration. Her emerald eyes glowed and your head shot up to meet hers, eyes also glowing.
*Talk to your mom, Mal.* You scolded in her mind.
*Are you-*
*Don’t ask me that question.*
Mal frowned at you before you shot up, shocking Fairy Godmother. She left the group and her mother, telling Fairy Godmother to stay, whilst she found you as your bedroom door slammed.
“Y/N?” She knocked on your door.
“Go away, Mal.”
She heard your sniffle and quietly unlocked your door, opening it to see you standing with your head hung low. She slowly walked over to you and placed a hand on your back, yours catching her wrist as you spun quickly.
“Don’t touch me.” You snipped.
“Y/N, why are you crying?”
“I hate this place! I don’t want to be here any more than you do!”
You sank onto your bed and Mal watched painfully as more tears spilled. “Your parents can’t come, they have no choice - mine choose not to come.”
She sat down on the end of your bed, unsure of how to comfort you other than a hand on your ankle. She felt you freeze for a moment before her thumb began to move back and forth, the soothing touch bringing your mind to a halt.
“Can I… Would you, uh… Would you like to join us on Family Day?” She asked slowly.
You sat up. “You’d let me do that?”
“Of course. We gotta stick together.” She nudged your shoulder and you smirked half-heartedly.
“I’m not a Villain kid, Mal.”
“No, but you’re close enough. Not quite Villain, not quite Auradon.” She grinned, tucking a strand of hair out of your face.
“I think it’s quite cute.”
You chuckled softly, the honeyed sound sweet to her ears. “Thanks, Mal.”
“I’ll come and get you in the morning, okay?”
You nodded as she stood, watching her close the door before locking it again with her magic. You lay down on the bed, hoping that Family Day would be better with them by your side.
----
You stood at the top of the staircase, dressed in the colours of your tail to represent your family, and walked with Evie’s arm linked in yours. You greeted some of the others you’d not seen before, many of them admiring your outfit, before you came to a stop in front of the chocolate fountain.
You reached out to touch a strawberry to the chocolate before you felt a piercing by your temple, looking up at the sky with a hidden middle finger as you ate the strawberry plainly.
“Ooh, save some for me, please.” Mal greeted you.
“Hey, you used the word please.” You remarked, grinning as she took a bite of the delicious strawberry.
“I’m getting there.” She smirked as she looked at the badge on your chest - Princess Y/N Salacia.
“What’s the badge for?”
“All princesses have to have one. Unfortunately, that applies to me.” You shrugged.
She grinned, adjusting it slightly so it was lop-sided. “There. Much better.”
You shook your head playfully before she was called away, watching Evie as she walked over to you. “Nice badge.” She smirked, but you saw dismay in her eyes.
“Close your eyes.” You asked, which she did.
You gently touched your fingers to your badge and then to her hands, watching her eyes widen with happiness as she saw a badge of her own - Princess Evie Grimhilde.
“How did you know my last name?” She looked at you.
“A demi-goddess knows a few things.” You smiled, giving her a hug before the call for croquet sounded.
“Hey Y/N, wanna play against me?” Jay offered.
“Oh, I’ll match that!” Ben came over, letting Mal go with Evie.
“Sure, boys. But be prepared to eat my dust.” You grinned, grabbing a croquet mallet.
You watched the boys try and beat you, but your accuracy was too much for them. “What the hell, Salacia?” Ben grumbled playfully.
“When you train for a few hundred years under the sea, the Surface World is so much easier.” You grinned, watching Jay react to your age.
“You’re… what?!” He exclaimed, making you chuckle.
“316 years old, Jay. Mom’s a few hundred million, so I would say that I will outlive you all before I die.” You smirked.
You felt a small tickle on your wrist before you turned in its direction, noticing Mal smiling at you. You waved at her, gesturing for her to come and play, but she shook her head.
*I’ll wait until you guys are done. I’m still trying to get used to this thing.* She wiggled her croquet handle loosely and you chuckled.
*Alright then.*
*Don’t take too long, Grandma.* She teased.
*So you heard?* You asked, to which she nodded until someone on her end interrupted your mental conversation.
You watched as Jay hit the ball too hard, shaking your head as you walked to hit it. There weren't enough balls to go around, so you and Jay had decided to share turns on his.
“You?!”
You looked up to see Mal frightened, Audrey and Queen Leah looking at her, one with anger and one with fear.
“How are you here? And how have you stayed so young?”
“Queen Leah, it’s alright.” You stood upright.
“Maleficent is still on the island.” Ben came to your side, holding Mal by her shoulders. “This is her daughter, Mal. Don’t you remember my proclamation to give the new generation a chance?”
“A chance to what, Ben? Destroy us?”
You stepped forward. “Queen Leah, if I may-”
“No, you may not.” She snapped.
“You remember, don’t you? The poison apples? And the spells?! The spells…” She trailed off.
“I do remember, Queen Leah.” You muttered, feeling a gentle tickle of Mal’s magic by your hand.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Evie came to your other side.
“My daughter was raised by fairies because of your mother’s curse.” Queen Leah scolded Mal.
“So her first words, her first steps… I missed it all!”
You pushed Evie back a bit, concern in her expression as she looked at your stiffened neck.
Mal stepped forward. “Hey, I’m so-”
“Go away! Stay away from her!” Chad stepped in.
“Don’t do this, Chad.” Ben warned him.
“What? They were raised by their parents, Ben. What do you think villains teach their kids, huh? Kindness? Fair play? No way, okay? Uh-uh.”
He turned to Mal. “You stole another girl’s boyfriend.”
“Hey, hey!” Ben huffed.
“You enjoy hurting people.” He pointed at Jay, turning to Evie.
“Chad…” You growled, glowing your eyes at him.
“And you… you’re nothing but a gold digger, and a cheater.” Chad pointed at Evie.
“Princess Y/N…” Queen Leah warned you, your eyes turning to her.
“Mirror Mirror in my hand, who’s the biggest jerk in the land?!” Evie asked her mirror before it showed Chad.
“What? Come on!” He batted away her hand.
“Back off, Chad!” Jay growled as he shoved Chad back.
Your very short fuse blew. “ENOUGH!”
Water rose from the opposing fountains and collided together to make a clear wall, watching the two groups stagger back at your display of power. You checked over Mal and the other VKs, going back to Mal briefly before you turned to face the others.
“What kind of princess protects villains? Huh?” Chad taunted.
“Shut up, Chad.” You grumbled.
“I’ll tell you what kind - a ‘shellfish’, bitchy, dyke.”
Your eyes glowed brighter and spikes protruded from the wall, all pointing at Chad. “Call me a dyke one more time.” You snarled.
You looked down when a tickle formed on your chest, a small hand hovering a few centimetres away. “Y/N, don’t.” Mal looked at you carefully.
“Yeah, Y/N, listen to her.” Chad edged you on, the spikes growing sharper and closer to him.
“Y/N!” Mal put her hand on your chest and you looked down at her.
“I said don’t.” She calmly stated, all whilst you breathed heavily as anger coursed through you instead of ichor.
“Why not? When will he learn from his mistakes? When will any of you learn from your mistakes?!” You called to the crowd around you.
“Yes, I’m gay. So what?! I am next in line for the Throne of the Seas!”
You glared at Chad and his smug smirk whilst you lowered the walls of water back into their fountains. “If you don’t learn from your mistakes by then… I will rain monsoons on your pathetic kingdom.”
You took Mal’s hand off of your chest but held it as you grabbed Evie’s, leading them towards the stairs.
“And Ben…” You turned to your best friend.
“You’ve seen my angry side once. Make sure he is punished otherwise you will see it only once more.”
----
You sat on the small table on the side of the park as the Auradon Kids and Villain Kids sat at their respective tables, your eyes searching Mal’s lost ones.
*Are you okay?* You murmured in her mind, her eyes focusing onto you.
*Don’t ask me that question.*
*Okay. How are you feeling?*
*Not that one either.*
You sighed, folding your arms onto your table as you rested your head on it, laying it to the side to see her smile softly. *There it is.*
*What?* She asked you, turning around to see nothing out of the ordinary.
*Your smile, dummy.* You giggled.
*What about it?*
*It’s much better than those princesses that practice theirs in a mirror.*
She shook her head playfully whilst looking at you. *Aren’t you one of those princesses?*
You raised your eyebrows momentarily. *I don’t practice.*
*Ah. So you just smile like that naturally? That lop-sided grin with a little dimple?*
*Me? A dimple? Look who’s talking!*
You watched her laugh with her mouth covered, your own chuckle too far away for her to hear. Mal watched you too, noticing how the colour in your magical irises seemed to swirl like whirlpool and it made her think about her own eyes.
*Just because I have a mother who cannot decide on a favourite colour, doesn’t mean your magic isn’t less beautiful.* You complimented.
*In fact, green is my favourite colour.*
*Then I’m like your mother. I can’t decide between purple, green and black.* She smirked.
You looked her up and down once. *I’ve noticed.*
“Doug!”
Your thoughts were pulled out of Mal’s mind as you watched Doug try to talk to Evie, their blooming relationship adorable, but Chad was being a menace again. You walked up to him and gripped him by the chin, pushing him into his chair.
“Look guys! Y/N’s trying to be a bad guy!” Chad teased.
“You want me to be the bad guy? Fine, now I’m the bad guy.” You growled, making it storm on top of him whilst you stayed completely dry.
“Y/N.” Mal warned you, a single glance having you let go of his chin, bruises already forming.
“Good luck covering that up with makeup.” You remarked.
“Good luck with your face tomorrow then.” Audrey smirked at you.
“Yeah. I mean honestly, how ugly can a princess get?” Jane smirked too, but they both froze when you smirked.
*Beware, forswear, undo Jane’s hair.* You heard Mal’s mind mutter before Jane screamed, her hair returned to its natural bob state.
“Ha ha!” You cackled mischievously.
Mal’s hand came to rest on your back. “There’s a lot more where that came from.” She dared the girls.
“Excuse me, who do you think you are?” Audrey accepted.
“Do I look like I’m kidding?”
Audrey watched as your eyes glowed brightly, a water ball coming into your hand as you muttered a foreign language. The girls instantly ran, with Chad’s hand held tightly in Audrey’s grip.
Mal turned to you as the water fell through your hands, giggles stopping air from coming into your lungs. A few seconds later, you took some deep breaths, clearing your eyes of tears. “What kind of spell was that?” She asked.
You chuckled whilst wiping the last tear. “That’s what’s funny - there is no spell. I just said a few random words in Latin. Pig, tree, water, Greek, pillow.”
Carlos, Jay and Evie all grinned at you before you hugged Mal with one arm, kissing her forehead. *Nobody makes fun of you on my watch… Princess Malificent Bertha.* Your voice echoed in her head.
*I’m not a princess.* She scoffed at you.
*Daughter of the Queen of the Moors? I think that counts.* You replied.
“I have to go and get fitted for my dress. I’ll see you all tomorrow.” You bid them all goodbye before leaving.
“Who are you going to choose, Mal?” Evie scolded lightly.
“What?”
“Y/N or Ben? You can’t have both.”
Mal sighed, walking away from the group towards the kitchens. She knew she had to choose, but she didn’t want to hurt either of you.
So who would it be?
Future King of Auradon?
Or Future Queen of the Seas?
----
Mal sat nervously upon the horse and carriage, her dress a stunning shade of lilac as she sat next to Ben, last night’s creation in her hand.
“Don’t be nervous.” Ben took her hand. “All you have to do is sit there and look beautiful. No problem there.”
Mal chuckled. “Thank you.”
She watched his knee bounce before he spoke again. “Mal, would you wear my ring?”
“Um… Not now.” She took her hand out of his. “I think it would probably just fall right off of me.”
She silently offered him the anti-love potion muffin, telling him when to take it but he swallowed it whole on the first chance he’d gotten.
Mal fretted. “Do you still have… Those… Strong feelings for me?”
“Well, let’s give the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect.” He licked his fingers.
She nodded slowly. “Yeah, okay… Wait, what?! You knew?”
“Yeah, I knew.”
“Okay, I can explain myself.”
He smirked at her. “No, look, it’s fine. You had a crush on me, I was with Audrey, you didn’t trust that it would happen on its own. Am I right?”
“Yes. Yes, you are so right.”
He took her hand. “Good. Because I think I know why you gave me that anti-love potion muffin.”
He watched Mal blush before he chuckled. “Y/N is a beautiful girl. All I ask of you is that you treat her with respect, care, and honesty. She doesn’t get much of it because of her Mom and her status as the heir to the Throne of the Seas.”
Mal sighed, watching him grab a bottle of water hidden in the secret compartment. He dropped his ring into the bottle, but to Mal’s surprise, it fizzled up into nothing.
“Where’d it go?” She asked.
“To the only place I trust it to be.” He smirked.
He gave her another, a slimmer ring with a gem that swirled with sea green and purple. She gasped at the sight of it. “What…?”
“Wear it if you want. It matches your eyes and your dress.” He complimented her.
Mal followed him out of the carriage when it came to a stop, counting every step so she didn’t fall until she came to the small break in the staircase. She curtsied to the King and Queen, both of them dressed regally before an usher brought her away.
“This way.” He gestured for her to enter first.
The ballroom was massive - the ceiling stretched up high to fit the grand mosaic of Belle dancing with the King in his beastly form, as well as the choir members and her friends along with Auradon’s people. She was guided to her place at the front row, only for a small gasp of shock to leave her lips.
There you stood, in a gown as regal as your status. The cream and sea green fabrics laced well together, your hands without gloves unlike other princesses. Your tiara from the lake shone brightly on your head, your eyes drifting towards her with a gentle smile.
*Hey.* You muttered timidly in her mind.
*Hey. You look…* Mal trailed off, unable to describe your beauty, nor the fluttering feeling in her heart.
*So do you.* You chuckled, looking back up at the front doors and a few set of cameras.
*Why are you up there?*
*Mom couldn’t come, so I’m taking her place as the one to bless the new king. Who just so happens to be my best friend, and I’m supposed to do this first try, on camera, in front of millions of people-*
*Y/N.*
You felt your hand be tickled before you looked down at Mal, noticing her soft smile as her emerald eyes shone. *Just breathe.* She murmured.
*Thanks for this, Mal.* You replied just as softly.
*I’m gonna be right here if you need someone to talk to.*
You nodded your head ever so slightly before the doors opened, a slow breath coming from you as Ben saw you. You gave him a little wave, to which he did back, before he slowly made his way to you, the crowd bowing like a tidal wave that slowly hurtled towards you.
Fairy Godmother gently placed the King’s crown on top of Ben’s head before you stepped forward. “Do you solemnly swear never to exploit our oceans, never to greatly disturb our seas, protect our kingdom and our alliance whilst you reign?”
“I do solemnly swear.” He smiled at you as you touched a finger to the Beast's head upon the crown.
*Great job, Y/N.* Ben told you.
*Thanks. Getting sweaty palms though.* You replied sheepishly as you stepped back.
Fairy Godmother slowly took her wand from the Queen and stood in front of Ben, blessing him in her own way. After he swore to protect Auradon, she lifted her wand to tap his crown, sealing the blessing.
But it was snatched from her by Jane, and lightning shot out of the end of it, smashing a window. You created a wall of water around the King, Queen, and Fairy Godmother, your eyes shining brightly.
But they flickered when Mal stole the wand from Jane, holding it like a tiny sword. You lowered the wall around the trio by the King’s request, your gown bubbling into a shorter version.
“Mal… What are you doing?” You stepped down carefully towards her.
“Give me the wand.”
“Stand back!” She warned you.
“I told you so!” Audrey grumbled and when Mal turned to point it at her, your wall of water blocked her off.
You looked at Evie, Jay and Carlos as they ran up behind Mal, the young half-fae’s eyes seeing the hurt in yours. “No, no, do not give me that look!”
“Mal, you’re really going to do this?” Your broken tone muttered.
“We have no choice, Y/N!” She cried.
“Our parents-”
“Your parents made their choice, just as mine made theirs. They have no power over you here, Mal, and I know you might not believe it because I didn’t initially either. But you do have a choice.”
You took a step towards her and she didn’t flinch. “I think… I think I wanna be good.”
“You are good.” You retorted.
“How do you know that?!” She sniffled.
“Because I see you, Mal. I see through the shields you put up to push people away, because believe it or not, I did the same. I see you… and I love what I see.”
Gasps came from around the hall, but none of them had your attention like Mal had yours.
Mal still held a grip on the wand, something the others in the hall were acutely aware of, but all you saw were broken children, neglected and manipulated by their evil parents.
The Evil Queen cared only for beauty, even when Evie was extremely intelligent. Cruella De Vil could only see the ancestry of dogs, but Carlos saw the love in their companionship. Jafar craved power, whereas Jay craved sports.
And Mal… Maleficent deprived her of love.
You were more than willing to show yours to her.
“I don’t want to take over the world. It doesn’t make me happy.” Mal’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts.
“I want to go to school… And be with Y/N.”
Your head lifted from the ground as more gasps came from the surrounding audience. She turned around, and a tear fell as she gestured to the ring on her hand.
“Because Y/N makes me really happy.” She tearfully admitted.
She turned back to her friends, fist extended in the middle of them. “I choose good, you guys.”
“I choose good too.” Jay smiled softly, bumping fists.
“I choose good.” Evie chuckled, adding her fist too.
Carlos hesitated before looking up at you. “So, just to be clear, we don’t have to be worried about how mad our parents will be? Because they’re going to be really really mad.”
You chuckled, shaking your head with your laughter. “Your parents can’t reach you here, Carlos.”
“Okay then. Good.” He added his fist.
Mal looked over at you. “Come here.” She gestured with her head and you added your fist, nuzzling her temple with your nose whilst the crowd erupted into cheers.
*Thank you for choosing good, Mali.* You muttered in her mind.
*That name is not sticking.* She retorted.
Suddenly, a loud crack of thunder came from above you, but you were not the one to generate it. Green smoke swirled like a rollercoaster before landing behind you, with Ben pulling you back by the wrist.
“I’m back!” Maleficent sang wickedly.
“Go away, Mother.” Mal groaned, even whilst she laughed.
“She’s funny. Oh, I’m so… You’re very funny.” Maleficent snorted.
“Wand me. Chop-chop.”
Mal pointed the wand to Maleficent before throwing it to Fairy Godmother.
“Bibbity-bobbity-”
“Boo.” Maleficent interrupted before her staff glowed, freezing everyone except for herself and the VKs.
She wandered over to your still form, smirking as she took off your tiara. “Ah, the power of a demi-goddess and yet, still can’t break through!” She put it back on your head, albeit crooked.
“Now, where shall we start? Oh, I know!” She pointed the wand at Mal before your ring came flying off of her hand.
“Perfect fit!” Maleficent exclaimed, yet Mal’s eyes pricked with tears.
“Falling in love with a half-fish dyke? Really? Falling in love is not what you want, dearie.”
“You don’t know what I want!” Mal tearfully whined. “Mom, have you ever once asked me what I want? I’m not you!”
“Well obviously! I’ve had years and years and years and... years of practice being evil. You’ll get there.”
“No, I will not.” Mal rebutted. “And I really wish that you had never gotten there yourself. Love is not weak, or ridiculous. It’s actually really amazing.”
She looked over at your still form, noticing how your head had moved slightly. Was that when Maleficent adjusted your tiara?
Anger bubbled in her. “And now I command, wand to my hand!”
Maleficent struggled to keep it in her hand, and eventually failed, pacing around. “Give me the wand, give me the wand!”
“No!” Mal barked back.
“You all... will regret this!” Maleficent howled before green smoke enveloped her, spreading higher and higher.
And then Mal felt a soft hand take hers, looking up to see you standing on shaky legs. “Y/N?! How are you awake?!”
“Demi-goddess.” You grinned at her before a wince left your lips.
“What’s happening?!”
“Don’t worry about me. Fight your Mother, end this.” You kissed her forehead before you threw a spurt of water at the newly formed dragon.
“Hey, you fugly Fae! Fuck you!” You flipped her off before Mal stepped in front of you.
You sent power through your hand on her shoulder as she cast her spell, three chants working to put her Mother into a small lizard state. The quartet rushed down to see the commotion as Fairy Godmother was freed.
But when the rest were freed, Ben’s roar was cut short by your agonising wail.
“Y/N!” He raced up to you before Mal could, her dress holding her down.
“Y/N, what’s happening?!” She asked, kneeling down beside you.
Your dress began to fade as your legs merged together, your tail drier than anything in that room. You leaned into Mal as your breaths became shorter, pain rushing through your body as if hot knives had replaced your bloodstream.
“Ow ow ow ow ow…” You muttered repeatedly.
“She needs to get to a body of salt water.” Fairy Godmother ordered, but there was none nearby.
“Hold on, Y/N. Just hold on.” Mal kissed your temple softly, helping Ben carry you to a car.
They left the back doors open so your tail could extend, but the sun wasn’t helping, making you curl in on yourself. You grabbed onto Mal’s dress and she listened carefully when your mind prodded hers.
*Maleficent… She was taking my magic to fuel herself. I need… I need it back, Mal…*
Mal felt your mind fade away just as the car came to a grinding stop, the enchanted lake just below. Ben and Mal hurriedly brought you to the top of it, the breaks between your breaths getting longer and longer.
“Hurry!” The King and Queen fretted.
Ben and Mal looked at each other before they jumped off, you in their arms. Ben came floating back to the top, having let go of you, and he watched you and Mal sink.
“NO!” He roared above the surface.
Yet, all Mal heard was silence. She held onto you as you sank deeper and deeper, darkness surrounding her. She held onto you and closed her eyes, a spectacle happening around her that she couldn’t even see.
Her magic stretched out of her and enveloped you both, the remnants of your magic being gripped by her tendrils. Steadily, your magical wisps began to grow in size until you both shared half, your eyes opening to adjust to your surroundings.
“Mal!” You exclaimed, watching her eyes flutter shut.
“No no no no no! Come on, come on!” You lightly slapped her cheeks, but that just let air out.
Then your mind kicked in.
And you kissed her.
You forced the water out of her mouth, pushing the oxygen into her lungs with force each time. You didn’t stop until you felt her hands hitting your shoulder sluggishly, her eyes opening to see you.
“You’re okay. By the seas, you’re okay!” You hugged her tightly.
“Yeah, I’m- speaking underwater?!” She gasped for air but you grabbed her wrists.
“It’s okay, I can do that. Make other people breathe underwater for a period of time.” You clarified when she looked confused.
“You scared me.” Mal slapped your shoulder and you chuckled.
“I’m sorry, Mali.”
She shook her head at you before pressing her forehead on yours. “You’re so dumb.”
“I still make you happy though.” You retorted.
She nodded. “So happy.”
You held her by the waist as magic swirled around you both, her dress disappearing as a shorter version revealed itself. She looked down at your tail as swirls began to litter it, looking back up at your love-sick smile.
“What are those?” She pointed at your tail.
“Oh! It’s my royal markings.” You shrugged.
“My my, Princess Y/N Salacia. How beautiful they are.” She teased, watching you grin.
“All the better to place you by my side, Princess Malificent Bertha.”
Mal’s eyes widened. “Are you serious?”
You nodded. “We have this thing, back at home, where we can only communicate telepathically with two important people in our lives. Our closest friend… and our soulmate.”
She nuzzled in close to you, watching your tail swish back and forth as you slowly swam to the surface. “Good luck with Ben. He’s a handful.”
You snickered at her remark, only for your heads to pop out of the water to be met with cheers from Ben and the royals.
“I love you, Mal.” You murmured as your hand came to hold her cheek.
“I love you, Y/N.” She replied. “Now, I’m freezing, and I believe there’s an afterparty.”
You chuckled at her antics before swimming to the stones, helping her out first. You then lifted yourself easily out, your tail converting back to legs whilst your markings from before travelled to your arms.
You held Mal all the way back to the royal afterparty, letting her have a little nap whilst she leaned on you. Her breathing was steady, her body was warm, and her heart was full.
It was enough to send you to sleep too.
.
.
A/N - Definitely didn’t stay up until 2:30 because this idea came to me right before I fell asleep. Noooooooooooooo.

🔥Part Four🔥
You sighed softly as you kept your eyes on your phone while Tom drove you and Evie to the place he would be staying for the duration of filming. You kept getting knots in your stomach at the thought of Charlie hunting you down because you decided to go against him.
Tom glanced over to you with furrowed brows and lightly placed a hand on your knee. “Hey, you okay?” He asked quietly.
You nodded while setting your phone in your lap. “Just anxious.”
Tom sighed softly, his hand moving over yours. He took it in his and squeezed it gently. “You should just break things off because he shouldn’t make you feel this way.”
You sniffled while shaking your head a bit. You didn’t enjoy talking about Charlie in such a way while Evie was present. “You know why I can’t,” You whispered with furrowed brows.
Tom glanced to you before looking back at the road. He sighed and kept his hand in yours, eventually pulling up to the flat that he had rented. You knew how tired he was becoming for your same excuses, but you were honestly scared. You had no idea what Charlie was truly capable of.
You thanked him quietly when he helped you out before moving to Evie who bounded out happily. She was bursting with energy even after the long flight.
“Do I get my own room?” She asked suddenly, whining a bit as she tried to get her toy suitcase out. You let her bring her toy suitcase, yet it was a challenge to get her to not pack all of her toys.
Tom chuckled a bit at Evie’s excitement and nodded. “There’s two rooms so you get your own and so does your mummy.”
Evie squealed at that but you frowned while turning to Tom. “What about you?”
He shrugged. “It’s a pullout couch, I’ll be fine.”
You shook your head while helping him with the suitcases. “No, you take the other bedroom.”
Tom smiled lightly. “Or…we can share a bed.”
You returned his smile and laughed a bit, letting him go up to the front door to unlock it. You sighed softly watching Evie practically bolt inside. She seemed happier around Tom than around Charlie.
You dragged the suitcases with you, two of yours and one of Evie’s blowing out a breath. You smiled lightly at the sight of the dropped suitcase and followed your daughter’s excited screams into her room. There was already a bed set up for her along with dressers and a bookshelf.
“You went all out already.” You hummed turning to Tom who chuckled.
“She’s like a daughter to me and I only want the best for Princess Evelyn.”
You smiled sheepishly at that. You knew Tom was right- he always treated your daughter as though she was his own.
“Mummy!” Evie’s cry brought you back into reality. “Can we eat yet?” She pouted.
You giggled. “Let us unpack then we can go out and grab a bite.”
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
You slowly walked out into the living room with a blanket wrapped around you, a small smile on your lips seeing Tom setting up his bed.
“Do you want some company?” You called and smiled more when he turned to you.
“Well, I always love someone to cuddle with,” Tom replied returning your smile and chuckled.
You laughed with him and walked closer, sitting beside him and wrapping your blanket around him. You let out a content sigh as you laid your head on his chest while he pulled you close. You smiled lightly hearing his heart race a bit.
“You really don’t have to take the couch, you know,” You said quietly after a moment.
Tom blew out a breath. “I know,” He replied with furrowed brows. “But I didn’t want to overstep my boundaries.”
You shook your head. “You could never.”
“Are you sure?”
You lifted your head and smiled as your eyes connected with his blue ones. “I’m sure,” You replied quietly.
Tom rubbed your back lightly as he looked over your features. He smiled a bit, reaching up to push back some of your hair. You didn’t know what overcame you as you bit your lip gently, feeling your eyes flutter close while leaning up slowly.
Tom leaned down as well, meeting you in the middle. Your lips crashed against his, his fingers tangling in your hair while slowly pushing you down. Your mind was saying this was wrong but your heart was telling you something different.
In that moment, Charlie did not exist. It was only you and Tom feeling his hands trail down to the hem of your shirt. You released the kiss and placed your hand over his.
“We should probably go to the other bedroom,” You breathed out. “Just in case Evie wakes up.”
Tom smiled a bit, a wash of relief coming over him. He stood up and picked you up, hooking his arms under your legs while leading you to the other bedroom. You giggled when he closed the door behind him before his lips hungrily found yours again.
In that moment, it all felt so right. Nothing else mattered except for you and Tom.
