Hello!

I was really excited to find this blog. I was wondering if there's more information about WPP itself anywhere? Reading through, I have questions about the press itself, like how are works being published (through Amazon? do you guys have an actual physical printing press? something else?), do you guys do promotion or is the main audience just followers of this blog, things like that.

We just got our start in 2022, so we are still in the process of getting things rolling. We publish our books through Draft2Digital (unfortunately we don't have our own printing press yet), as this is the easiest way for us to distribute books at this point in time. D2D allows us to distribute ebooks and print books to most of the major sales venues (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, etc.). For books that are more art focused (ex. zines) we use either Mixam or PrintNinja to get those printed.

Since both of the books we've published so far have been for charity, promotion has focused on this blog. But for future books, we'll be expanding promotions to outside the tumblrverse. Our tentative marketing plan is that we'll be building up a review team of bookstagrammers, booktubers, and book bloggers, and scheduling promotions with various book promotion agencies.

In the new year we'll be focusing on building up WPP. Future plans include launching an email newsletter, commissioning a professional logo, and whump merch. It's going to be a busy year!

#NewYorkComicCon was an amazing and reassuring experience. It's been amazing seeing people return for more books after buying the previous books! I've also been blessed to have customers who want to know more about the series and will buy the first few stories to get introduced to my series. This show helped bring my stories to so many people, and I've come close to setting some milestones in my career. . . . I introduced #AReasontoSmileMakingFriends in October in digital form, but in January in physical form (shout out to all of my #KickstarterBackers and #PrintNinja). I was able to have over 100 preorders due to the kickstarter, and after introducing the book at the #SchomburgCenter during the #BlackComicbookFestNYC selling 22 books, I have since gone on to sell close to 300 copies and sold a record 32 copies this weekend! . . . I can't thank the @BlackComicsCollective/Deirdre Hollman and @NewYorkComicCon/Mike Negin enough for allowing me to be a part of these shows and present my books to the masses! I also can't thank you all enough who have bought or supported the series in one way, shape or form. Here’s a preview of some the pages in my 3rd art book. It’s going to be available for purchase from my Etsy store starting tomorrow at 6 pm (CT). This book is special because not only is it my 3rd art book I also combined it with what would have been “Japan A Character Journey” a compilation of all my characters inspired from my most recent trip to Japan. The book is 64 pages, full color, with the dimensions of 8.5x8.5 (went square this time 😉). I’m very proud of all my art books because they show my journey as I continue to grow as an artist.
