I suddenly had a strong urge to play the sims, so here are a few Prisma posts no one expected!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!

Since last Saturday, when I last posted, we've had lots going on. I'll start with describing what happened on Saturday after I posted. We rented a car (from AutoRentti -- no Hertz or Europcar for us!) for one day and picked the kids up from skating training in it and drove to Western Finland to go to Moomin World. We've had been many times before and it was just the most beautiful day on Saturday weather-wise! We spent about 2 hours at Moomin World and the kids had promised me that they still had not "aged out" of it . . . . and I guess they hadn't! They were still very charmed and enjoyed seeing what had changed since the last time we were there.

When we walked back across the little bridge that connects the town of Naantali to Moomin World, just like last year, Eric jumped in the water and swam across to the beach ( he had planned to do this and was wearing a suit). I thought it was very funny when he did it last year and I still thought it was very funny when he did it this year. We met him on the beach and the kids decided they really wanted to swim, too. I had brought their suits, which I had bought at 70% off at Kappahl the night before, and told them they only had 10 minutes to swim because we still had a long drive back to Tampere and Alex would have been in his crate there for quite a long time, though I knew he could handle it because he's such a trooper. And then we made the drive back to Tampere and liberated Alex from his crate . . . and all was well!

On Sunday, Rowan and I went on some outings together and Eric and Cece went on some outings together (they went swimming at a pool and then in a lake!). Rowan and I took the tram out to where one of their skating practice rinks is and Rowan wanted to rollerblade back to our apartment and see if we could find a park that he had seen from the tram. Indeed we did find it and he played there for a little while, while Alex and I watched. Then, we went back home and dropped Alex off and then turned right back around and got on the tram and went back to where we'd been before, to go to the big store Prisma (like a Nordic version of a Meijer) where I had to make two returns. We also had to go to the Elisa cell phone store with some questions about our SIM cards. Then I promised Rowan that I would take him to the Pizza & Buffa buffet, where I'd taken and Cece the week before. Rowan and I had lunch there and then we trammed out to where his tap class was. I left him there and then went and ran some more errands, including getting groceries, and Eric met me at the grocery store.

The very next morning we took the train to Helsinki where the Fulbright orientation began. That was yesterday. Once we arrived in Helsinki and checked into our hotel at midday, we were off and running with Fulbright activities and, honestly, I've been running ever since! I am exhausted from all of these Fulbright activities. Even though the days have been jam-packed with different orientation sessions and speakers, none of them have been a waste of time. I have learned so much and have met so many great people already.

Yesterday's afternoon event was at a resort hotel a little ways out of Helsinki. And after our initial meat-and-greet sessions and some ice-breakers (we all distributed across the room to demonstrate where in the US we lived -- and such), we did get to go have some time in the sauna (be sure to say it in the proper Finnish way!). So, sauna is a real Finnish cultural tradition and regular visits to a sauna play am important role in Finnish family life. Even I, historically not a sauna fan, partook and it was hot, hot, hot! It is supposed to be a meditative, quiet, cleansing experience. I suppose I could use all of that in my life! Typically, people go into the sauna sans bathing suits but not during this orientation ;)

Anyway, also at this hotel were pools and an adjacent lake. The kids loved it all. Then there was an amazing buffet dinner and then we got back on the bus and returned to Helsinki. Rowan really likes the thin rye bread, slathered with butter, in case you've been wondering ;)

Today, I had to start the orientation just before 9:00 and we went to the Hanken School of Economics (a very highly ranked, Swedish-language business school) for our orientation activities. Eric and the kids met me at about 4:30 at the Sibelius-lukio Upper Secondary School where there was a musical performance by their girls' choir and a tour of the school and some refreshments. We met up with another Fulbrighter and his 3 and 1/2-year-old daughter afterwards and had dinner with them. Then, Eric and the kids decided that they were going to catch a late train back to Tampere rather than stay here another night (it was quite tight with the four of us and Alex in a hotel room and we'd discussed them bailing as an option). This way, the kids wouldn't have to miss school tomorrow. As I write this, they are on the train and will arrive back to Tampere just before midnight.

They had a great day in Helsinki, though, rollerblading all around, including at a skate park, and they ran into the famous Paralympian Blake Leeper, whose TV show "Are You Faster Than Blake Leeper" we've watched a few times! Blake was in Helsinki for a race and his next stop is Paris, for the Paralympics!

I have another very full day tomorrow, which which begins with a bus tour of Helsinki and is capped off with a reception at the US Embassy. I will write on Saturday about how the rest of the week went!

this might be a kind of weird rec request, but, do you know any other games with the same vibe as HLD? not in gameplay, but in like, setting and story? other games that i know of that has the same vibe is Creature In The Well, Sable, Hob, and kind of RIME, if that helps

Getting straight to the point, I see – I appreciate it!

Based on your examples, I’m guessing we’re aiming for a sort of melancholy post-apoc milieu that doesn’t resort to gratuitous gore or real-is-brown to get its point across, ideally with a French comic book twist to its visual design, and that you lead with Hyper Light Drifter tells me that the occasional burst of technically challenging violence isn’t a deal-breaker for you. If I’ve got that right, you might have a look at any of the following:

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust - The first game in the series is more of a Yume Nikki meets Legend of Zelda sort of deal, but the sequel fits the brief much better. The gimmick is that the mechanics and visuals shift eras depending on what scale you’re operating on, going from PSOne to GBA and in a few cases zooming all the way in to ZX Spectrum.

Bastion - I’m quite sure you’ve heard of this one, but just in case! Known mostly for its conceit of having a fully voiced narrator who dynamically responds to the player’s actions, including some very cool sequences that play with the unreliable narrator trope by having what the voiceover is describing depart from what’s happening in front of you.

Etherborn - I’m throwing this one in on purely aesthetic grounds, as I strongly suspect that if you liked the atmosphere of Hyper Light Drifter, this’ll be right up your alley. It’s an experimental walking sim/puzzle-platformer hybrid where you play as a voiceless something-or-other that can manipulate gravity.

FAR: Lone Sails - I’ll level with you: this one’s on the list specifically because you name-checked Sable. It’s about navigating a landship across a dry ocean bed in search of other survivors; starts out as a nearly pure walking sim, and gradually introduces light engineering puzzle elements to spice things up.

FEZ - A perspective shifting puzzle-platformer, it may initially appear that this recommendation is based entirely on visual similarity, but it has a lot of overlap with Hyper Light Drifter in terms of the themes and implications of its story, too – at least if you can figure out what the heck is going on! Be prepared to take notes; there will be a test.

Omensight - That you mentioned Hob put me in mind of this one. It’s an outlier in this list in that it takes place during, rather than following, the apocalypse: it’s a time-looping action platformer/murder mystery hybrid where you repeatedly play out the world’s last day, trying to solve – and hopefully prevent – the murder of God. No pressure!

OneShot - A nonviolent puzzle-RPG where you control the Messiah on a quest to restore the sun to a dying world. The twist? The Messiah’s god is you, the player, and they’re aware of your existence. The puzzles are heavy on the meta, with some involving manipulating the game window or manually editing files on your hard drive, among other things.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP - Self-described as a prog rock album you can walk around in, this point-and-click adventure/rhythm game admittedly edges toward real-is-brown territory, but it’s stylish enough that I’m willing to give it a pass. The story has some of the same thoughts as Hyper Light Drifter on the subject of self-sacrifice.

In terms of forthcoming titles beyond those you already mentioned, you might keep an eye on The Last Campfire, NYKRA, Orion: Shadow of Jeroba, Omno, Outrider Mako, Prisma Light, Radio the Universe and Voyage.

I’m pretty sure that some of you are still playing Square Enix’s previous FF online game, Final Fantasy XI. So, great news everyone as “Amelila” has released a new graphics overhaul megapack for it.

This graphics mod significantly improves the Final Fantasy XI’s textures, transforming its blurry and ugly visuals into something that is actually pleasing to the eye, that is actually able to compete with titles released a few years ago. This mod also includes optional HD Bump Maps which will greatly improve your gaming visual experience, though they require a beefy graphics card (according to the author).

The Final Fantasy XI graphics overhaul mod is 277MB in size and you can download it from here. Amelila also claimed that this megapack will always be kept updated as new mods are released, and will be distributed free of charge to everyone.

Hairstyles in the Sims. Can things ever get stranger?

Some people think thehair that comes with the base game feels a bit too bland, while some don’t like the way hair looks in vanilla Sims 4 at all.

Thankfully hundreds of modders from all over the world have created custom hairstyles to freshen things up.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for the hairstyles for male sims or females or even kids– you’ve come to the right place for all of it!

I’ve divided this list in two parts; the first will give you a breakdown of the best female hair mods for Sims 4, and the second part will tell you all about the best hair mods for male Sims in the game.

Choose wisely and dress up accordingly.

Girl Hairstyle Mods

12. Jealousy Hair

This long hairstyle takes a spot on my list because it reminds me of one of the coolest hairstyles that already comes in the game; but it’s far better and much more detailed.

I would dare say that this mod could easily replace the one that comes with vanilla Sims 4, but some of you might prefer a more traditional look.

In any case, in terms of long hairs with a tail that runs from back to front, you’ll struggle to find one as good as this.

11. Vapor Hair

When you’re going to rate hair mods, you have to understand that transparency plays almost as much of a part as the quality of textures and the design itself.

Rammstein feuer frei free mp3 downloads. As such, this one takes a spot because it ticks both boxes quite perfectly.

It’s a short hairstyle that suits almost every type of lady, and the transparency between the strands feels surprisingly accurate.

10. Ominous Hair

This mod is fantastically detailed, and it offers a unique look.

Actually similar to only one hairstyle that I can recall from the game.

With a small bun on top of the head and some loose hair all over the place, this gives you a stylish look without many similar options.

There are some minor transparency issues but I’m forgiving the issues with this mod because it can’t be easy to model such a unique hairstyle; especially when loose hairs are not intended to be a thing in Sims 4.

9. Paradox Hair

This neat little hairstyle can be used by ladies of all ages, and it comes in a staggering 27 different colors to add plenty of variety to your Sims world.

Try out some of them and see which one fits your Sim the most.

This is a long hairstyle with a ponytail, and it’s detailed enough to be one of the best I’ve seen for the game.

8. Runaway Hair

Detailed and beautiful, the long Runaway Hair is by far one of my favorite hair mods to put on.

Granted, I think the hair itself looks pretty good in real life too. And that might’ve played a part on my decision.

But hey: that doesn’t take away from the astonishing level of work that went into this creation.

7. Prisma Hair

Am I going crazy, because I don’t think there’s a single hairstyle as long as this one in the base game.

I’m trying to recall but I just can’t think of any!

Those who love to see their female Sims with long hair might want to check this one out.

The level of detail is fantastic, it comes with plenty of different colors, and what’s even better is that the hair drops to the front of the body as well as a bit to the back.

The serial number and the product key are easy to find. Note: If you have a maintenance contract, you will also be able to search for previous versions of the software, as well as the serial numbers and product keys. 6. High Life Hair

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about short hair options.

And this one takes the cake as one of my favorites for the game.

I mostly play with male sims, I do admit that. But I have to tell you that those of you who want to see their Sims rock a short hairstyle with much more details than the ones that come with the base game are going to want to try this one out.

It can be used by Sims of all ages(starting Teen) but it does fit better on Young Adults, in my opinion. Encyclopedia britannica software download.

Yet it’s up to you to decide who rocks it!

5. Envy Hair

Another hairstyle with a unique design, this time being one that is far more withdrawn and less loose than others.

But I figure this can work pretty well on entrepreneurs and businesswoman Sims.

It just seems like a perfect fit for them, you know?

It’s that classic short hairstyle that seemed to be quite popular in the 80s, in which the hair wasn’t really short per se… but it was made to look like it was.

A picture is worth a thousand words though – so check it out!

4. Perfect Illusion

The creator of this mod used Lady Gaga as a reference. And I think the result turned out to be quite accurate.

This hair is super complex and you’ll have a Sim rocking quite a unique style like a rockstar.

Although this type of hair is already included in the base game (or a very similar one, at least). So it may not add a totally unique twist, but it’s worth a download if it could fit with your Sim’s style.

3. Parallel Hair

Wait, braids? I mean, DOUBLE BRAIDS?

How come these are not a thing on the base game?

This one takes the classic “good girl” look to the next level by adding this fantastic hairstyle, which can be used by Sims of all ages.

The best thing about the mod is that the braids are compatible with most of the hats that your Sim can wear too.

Which means it won’t interfere with your quest of creating that hat-loving personality you’ve always wanted.

2. Eden Hair

Another extremely long hair design takes the number two spot on my list. Mainly because I really love long hairs and the base game didn’t provide us with as many options as I would’ve wanted.

In any case, this one flows like a cascade through the left side of your Sim’s body and goes all the way down to the waist.

By far one of the longest hair mods that you’ll find, and it comes in dozens of different colors.

1. Nightcrawler Hair

Look, as much as I love long hair in this game, I couldn’t really avoid putting this mod as the number one on my list.

Fantastically well detailed as well as brilliantly executed in terms of transparency and compatibility issues, the Nightcrawler hair is as modern as it is eccentric.

This hairstyle fits women of all sorts, but housewives or business ladies might look particularly good with this.

You decide, though, as this mod puts the choices in your own hands.

10. Nicholas Hair

A simple short design that is widely used by men in today’s world, the Nicholas Hair mod makes quite a fantastic addition to the game.

Well, mostly if you’re looking to add a style that suits almost every type of serious-looking Sim.

If you’re playing with a different type, like one that looks to live more of a bohemian lifestyle, then keep reading. There’s something here for you too.

9. Haunting Hairstyles

Shorter hair on the sides doesn’t always have to be as noticeable in order for it to look stylish.

And this hair mod shows exactly why.

Hair that is well-combed is sure to attract a lot of attention, and the Haunting Hairstyles mod will add exactly that to the game.

Plus you’ll have the option to paint various colors thanks to the mod creator’s hard efforts.

8. Hair N4

If you’re into the modern hairstyles usually rocked by sports stars and celebrities, then this mod is going to fit perfectly.

There isn’t one quite like it in the main game, as most that come with The Sims tend to have either an exaggerated mohawk or simply not as much on the sides.

This cut is as balanced as it gets. And you’re going to love the way your Sim looks with it.

As many others in this list, it also comes with color options that’ll give you an extra touch of variety!

7. Like Lust Hair

Are you trying to have your Sim look better than the rest?

Are you tired of the way some of the game’s basic hairstyles look, but you still want a stylish and not-so-cartoonish hair put on top of your male Sim’s head?

This one is like an improved version of the last mod, and in my opinion it looks even better.

You’re going to love watching your Sim rock it; I’m sure of it.

It comes with custom shadowing too, which also enhances realism by a landslide compared to others on this list.

6. Wavves

Those who have wavy hair might not feel as represented in The Sims 4 community, well as much as those with straight hair.

So it’s time to put a stop to it with the Wavves Hairstyle mod.

This modern update takes a different approach than the rest by adding hair with waves to the game.

But beware – you’re going to need a good computer to make this one look its best. But again, this is The Sims we’re talking about… not exactly a GPU hog.

5. Hysteria

Faded on the sites and very long on the right side of the head, combed to the left.

Quite a unique look, if I may say so myself.

This is the typical hairstyle in forms of modern advertising rocked by those models looking brand-new the day of the photoshoot.

Wish we could all pull this off…

Another modern style that starts with a faded cut on the sides.

But this one has more hair atop of the head, much like the original one that comes with vanilla Sims 4.

If you look closely you’ll notice this one is far more detailed though!

Feel like a true samurai with the blackout hairstyle.

Which is actually quite a longer hairstyle than you might think on first glance.

Well-rounded and a bit messy, this hair add-on definitely offers something that no other hairstyle in vanilla even comes close to.

I’m not really sure why most male models used for Sims hairstyles look so weird. But hey, I’m sure Maxis has a good reason.

Haven’t been in the mood to do any real game-play but I did want to form a few couples and make some babies. 

So here are three newly formed couples.

Couple  1: Piper Brulee and Honeydew Farmer; These ladies were both at one point potential spouses for Macaron Heirs. Piper is Tiramisu Macaron’s sister-in-law and she was created by @just-a-sarcastic-simmer. Honeydew and her family was made by me. These two are married and Honeydew is pregnant with Piper’s child.

Couple 2: Olive Farmer and Ophelia Madness; Olive is actually Honeydew’s older brother and as such he was created by me. He was also once a potential spouse for a Macaron heir. Ophelia is also one of my sims. Only She’s been around significantly longer than any other sims in this post! Ophelia was created for my Bloom gameplay as some sort of sanity impaired witch woman that has clearly been alone far too long. She is one of my favorite sims. These two are also married and expecting.

Couple 3: Artemis Lace Macaron and Van Prisma; Two more of my sims and two more of my favorites! Artemis is the daughter of Lavender and Jubilee as well as Tiramisu’s big sister. She was overlooked as heir but she’s not bitter about it. Van is the son of Titania and Andromeda, a couple that’s been around about as long as Ophelia! To be frank, Titania’s actually been around longer than Ophelia. Off topic XD, Van is a vampire so Artemis may be following in her Aunt Hyacinth’s footsteps here. And like the others, Van and Artemis are married and expecting

Avaliação: Novo Onix Plus Premier surpreende em consumo e desempenho

Ele é o líder de vendas no mercado brasileiro há mais de três anos e emplaca mais do que a maioria das marcas. Sozinho, o Chevrolet Onix seria a quarta marca mais vendida do Brasil, se fosse uma.

Agora, além de hatch, ele aparece também como sedã e é este que avaliamos agora, o Onix Plus.

O Chevrolet Onix Plus Premier é o topo de linha do novo sedã compacto da GM e traz algumas surpresas boas.

A começar pelo motor 1.0 Turbo que surpreende em desempenho e, principalmente, em economia.

Ele vem com recheio interessante, ainda mais na hora de estacionar e de ficar na “net”.

Custando a partir de R$ 73.190, mas com tudo dentro, o Onix Plus Premier pula para R$ 76.190.

Por fora…

Olhando por cima, o Chevrolet Onix Plus lembra bastante o Cruze e até confunde algumas pessoas na rua.

O sedã compacto tem visual agradável e equilibrado, sem exagerar nos detalhes e com proposta bem funcional.

A frente com faróis dotados de projetores tem lentes de desenho interessante, mesmo sem assinatura em LED.

Essa iluminação adicional em LED e envolvida em cromo, fica no para-choque, em molduras que lembram bumerangues.

A grade dupla com frisos pretos, assim como nas tais molduras laterais, marcam a presença do modelo.

Nas laterais, as rodas de liga leve aro 16 polegadas com pneus 195/55 R16, possuem desenho elegante e bom acabamento diamantado.

Os retrovisores grandes chamam atenção, bem desenhados, mas os piscas auxiliares ficam nos para-lamas.

Destaque para maçanetas e frisos cromados na base das janelas.

Atrás, as lanternas duplas com feixes de LED dividiram opiniões, mas o conjunto em si ficou bom.

O para-choque traseiro tem até um desenho mais expressivo que o frontal, completando o visual do Onix Plus.

Por dentro…

Discreto por fora, o Onix Plus também não veio para chamar muito atenção por dentro.

O ambiente é bem sóbrio, mas com uma pitada premium no Premier, que no pacote completo tem opção de caramelo “Maple Sugar” e preto.

A tonalidade fica nas portas e painel, diferenciando o ambiente das demais versões. Existe a opção do cinza também.

No painel existe uma textura diferenciada. O acabamento geral não tem materiais soft, o que infelizmente já era esperado em um sedã compacto.

O volante novo tem design atraente e uma pegada boa, só o ajuste da coluna é que poderia ser mais suave e preciso.

Dependendo da posição, gera uma pequena briga para travar. Pode ser coisa das primeiras unidades, então, se você já tem o carro, comente.

O cluster tem bom aspecto e é bem funcional, tendo um computador de bordo completo, mas seu acionamento por um botão na haste do limpador não é o melhor.

Um botão na ponta da haste é bem mais ergonômico.

A multimídia MyLink 3 tem belo visual e operação intuitiva, sendo muito fácil acessar todas as funcionalidades.

A câmera de ré tem boa visualização e os sistemas Android Auto e Car Play ajudam no dia a dia. Pode-se acessar o OnStar (também pelo console no teto) e conexão com internet.

Outra funcionalidade boa do MyLink 3 é o ar condicionado automático com ajustes fáceis de operar na tela. Esta, de sete polegadas, poderia ser maior.

O ar condicionado digital tem comandos renovados, tendo logo abaixo o slot para recarga sem fio de smartphones mais sofisticados.

Há um alerta para objetos colocados inadvertidamente nesse local, inclusive aviso no MyLink, caso ocorra. Existe o risco de incêndio em objetos metálicos. Por isso cabe uma forte observação.

Os bancos em couro são confortáveis e se ajustam bem ao corpo. Atrás, o espaço para pernas é bom, mas inferior do ao VW Virtus, por exemplo. Afinal, são 2,60 m contra 2,65 m de entre-eixos.

Os apoios de cabeça traseiros são projetados e apoiam bem quando levantados.

Quem vai atrás tem luz central e duas portas USB, sendo que a terceira fica na frente. O porta-luvas é pequeno e há luzes de leitura na frente.

O porta-malas tem 469 litros. Sim, perdeu 31 litros para o Prisma, contudo ainda assim são suficientes. O banco bipartido ajuda a ampliar o espaço.

Conectado

O Onix Plus Premier vem com a internet 4G da Claro com Wi-Fi, podendo conectar até sete aparelhos.

Ela funciona muito bem em diversas situações e o processo para conectar é muito simples.

A velocidade de navegação e download é muito boa. Ela serve bem para usar a internet dentro do carro.

Fora, o alcance é de 15 m, mas o problema é manter o MyLink ligado. Após alguns minutos com o carro desligado, ele apaga e lá se foi a conexão.

Bom é que não é necessário apertar o botão de partida para liga-la novamente. O pacote de 3 GB parece ser suficiente para uso durante um mês, para quem não vai usar muito.

O proprietário obviamente usará sua rede doméstica e a do trabalho para navegar longe do carro, isso sem contar os dados do celular quando estiver em outro local.

Por ruas e estradas…

O Chevrolet Onix Plus chega para deixar o passado do Prisma para trás. Agora, com motor turbinado, o novo sedã anda solto…

O pequeno três cilindros com turbocompressor, intercooler e injeção indireta flex, caiu bem no modelo.

Mesmo sem os bicos injetores colocados diretamente na câmara de combustão, a engenharia da GM resolveu a questão do consumo e fez bem a lição de casa.

Com 116 cavalos, tanto no álcool quanto na gasolina, o Chevrolet Onix Plus 1.0 Turbo (teremos o 1.0 aspirado também) alcança essa força aos 5.500 rpm.

Já os torques são de 16,3/16,8 kgfm em somente 2.000 rpm, respectivamente com gasolina e etanol.

Os números são bons, mas não surpreendentes em relação aos concorrentes. De qualquer forma, tais valores se mostram mais do que suficientes para a proposta do carro.

Sim, o pequeno motor empurra bem o Onix Plus, fazendo isso de forma progressiva, suave e com vontade de mostrar serviço.

Não há socos ou impulsos bruscos por conta do turbo, mas uma progressão que mostra vigor e empolga.

O ronco típico do motor de três cilindros é mais grave do que se espera e o silvo da turbina pode ser ouvido com os vidros abertos…

O Onix Plus 1.0 Turbo tem saídas ágeis e retomadas igualmente agradáveis, com uso de pouca rotação para cumprir a missão.

Ultrapassagens? Pode fazer sem mover o ponteiro do conta-giros. Aliás, dependendo da ponte ou aclive de rua, ou estrada, ele permanece onde está.

Isso mostra toda a força do torque em baixa, funcionando plenamente e traduzindo-se em eficiência.

Sim, ele é o melhor dos dois mundos também. Com bom escalonamento das seis marchas na caixa automática GF6-3, o Onix Plus deslancha na cidade ou na estrada.

Parece ter mais força que os números apresentam, especialmente no caso do torque, e olha que estávamos com gasolina.

Gostoso de acelerar, o Onix Plus não tem nenhuma comparação com o antigo.

No entanto, a transmissão ainda apresenta alguns pequenos trancos entre primeira e segunda marcha, coisas que a integração precisa ajustar adiante.

Aliás, falando no câmbio, quando era apenas Prisma, o tal botão na alavanca até podia ser funcional, embora nada ergonômico.

No Onix Plus, sim, ele precisa de paddle shifts. O sedã anda bem, muito bem. É um pecado não ter as borboletas para saber até aonde vai este novo carro.

Se quiser saber disso no Onix Plus Premier, terá que jogar a posição para L (parece mais um CVT com essa designação).

No L (Low), a rotação sobe imediatamente e só aí é possível mudar as marchas no botão da alavanca.

Não é nada legal fazer isso, mas o interessante é que você pode colocar até a sexta com o carro parado…

Cada posição segura a marcha, mas não reduz. É um bom freio motor para descidas longas e íngremes, como serras, por exemplo.

Agora, para saídas rápidas e condução esportiva, não é nada intuitiva.

Rodando com o Onix Plus na cidade, ele geralmente fica entre 1.500 e 2.000 rpm. Na estrada, 2.300 rpm a 110 km/h.

É aí que ele “estaciona” mesmo em aclives longos, ultrapassagens e retomadas moderadas, mesmo com quatro adultos e alguma bagagem.

Nesse ponto, o Onix Plus parece outro carro, forte e decido a manter sua força máxima em giro adequado.

O torque abundante exige pouco mais de 3.000 rpm e subidas maiores ou retomadas com muito mais velocidade. Dá para andar esportivamente bem entre isso e 4.000 rpm.

Em subida de serra, como na Rodovia dos Imigrantes, ele só sai dos 2.300 rpm em duas ou três ocasiões (sem trânsito, é claro) e mantendo fielmente o limite de 100 km/h.

Se os Onix/Prisma antigos eram carros apenas para o dia a dia urbano, este novo pode viajar com sobra e está longe de dar respostas lentas ou mostra fraqueza.

Na cidade, fizemos 13,8 km/l, enquanto na estrada, o consumo surpreendeu com média de 19,9 km/l. Em muitos trechos, o consumo foi para mais de 20 km/l. Sempre rodando no limite da rodovia.

No dia a dia, o Onix Plus Premier é um carro gostoso de guiar. A direção elétrica é bem progressiva, muito leve em manobras e firme em alta velocidade.

O conjunto de suspensão está bem calibrado para nossa realidade, mesmo em pisos irregulares e cheios de buracos, filtrando razoavelmente bem as imperfeições.

Nas curvas, o conjunto é bem equilibrado e com pouca tendência de saída de traseira.

O Novo Onix vem com controles de tração e estabilidade, assim como assistente de rampa.

Os freios também estão calibrados como devem ser. Graças à maior rigidez, o sedã se comporta melhor.

Durante a condução, o alerta de ponto cego avisa sobre veículos nas laterais, indicados nos retrovisores, mas sem correção de direção.

Nesse caso, o único sistema que assume o volante é o estacionamento automático.

Ativado por um botão no painel, basta indicar o lado com a seta e optar entre vaga paralela ou perpendicular.

O volante dá uma leve tremida e o display do cluster aponta com uma seta que vai sendo preenchida até o aviso “Stop”.

O sistema aponta quando engatar drive ou ré, ficando o motorista a apenas controlar o pedal do freio em toda a operação.

No processo de estacionamento, a manobra pode ter várias etapas, dependendo do tamanho da vaga. Ele deixa o Onix Plus Premier parado direitinho na vaga.

Por você…

O Chevrolet Onix Plus Premier é a versão mais cara do novo sedã, que parte de R$ 58.790. O preço é alto para a realidade brasileira, mas todos em sua categoria também são.

Por R$ 76.190, essa opção mais completa está bem abaixo das mais caras de seus rivais.

Basta olhar para o VW Virtus Highline passando dos R$ 90 mil ou o Fiat Cronos HGT surfando a mais de R$ 86 mil.

Até o discreto Toyota Yaris Sedan XLS custa R$ 85.990. O mais próximo do Chevrolet é o Hyundai HB20S Diamond Plus por R$ 81.290 completo.

Nessa briga, só se salva do Nissan Versa 1.6 CVT, que vai até R$ 72.190. Ainda assim, R$ 1.000 a menos que o Premier básico.

Obviamente, cada modelo tem seus atributos, especialmente em conteúdo.

No caso do Onix Plus Premier, ele chega para a briga com boa performance, muita economia, conectividade superior e até estaciona sozinho…
