order 66 was NOT a genocide. you can only genocide people & cultures, you can’t genocide a systemically deified super-religion that wants everyone in existence to either agree with them & exist their way or burn in hell for eternity. any decent ppl who went down with the purge forfeit their lives down the drain along with their family, home & very sense of self. they. had. it. fucking. coming.
from an indigenous person, fuck y’all for even comparing order 66 to genocide & talking all over survivors of real genocides to save face for your evangelical faith & the people you think are good guys. you are not about to disrespect the continent-sized OCEANS of blood that make up our ancestors & loved ones who were lost to real genocide. fuck off.

Not to get too much into Star Wars discourse but here we go--
No, the Sith are not inherently evil. The Sith code can be interpreted in different ways and it is interpreted differently by different characters. Writers are allowed to experiment and put nuance to the sides of the Force.
No, the Jedi are not pure and virtuous beings who had no faults. The Jedi did a lot of shit, and got waaaay too comfortable in their positions in the government to even see Palpatine for what he really was. The entire point of the prequels is that they were blinded by their arrogance.
Anakin was not the good guy, and his fall is inherently tragic. But the Jedi did fail him because they refused to accommodate him in any meaningful way. (Also, they left his mom to continue to be a fucking slave.) The Jedi were not prepared for someone like him.
Obi-Wan did the best he could, and while he also has fault in Anakin's fall, it wasn't solely his fault. Speaking of which, Anakin's fall was also equally as much his fault as it was the Jedi's.
Is that it? Yeah, I think that's it.
EDIT: Pro-Jedi losers stop commenting or reblogging this shit. You will be blocked.

Jedi Stans is more clinically insane than sith Stan’s. I love the sith. I would boot lick every Sith Lord in existence and be their footstool but when a Jedi stan says “they’re evil I’m happy the Jedi smoke em” I’m like “shiii I mean the sith do live by the sword and die by it. Rip. They died how they live, and went out like real ones” it’s like, “yeah I know. Who even cares” why? everybody who likes the Sith knows the Sith is evil but we don’t care because it’s fictional
but when you even say “yeah I don’t fw the Jedi like they’re pious and when they beefed with Sidious they had a 1vs 10k with him and still lost. The Jedi played the game and lost. Not crying for em” they act like you attacking a real marginalized group and start making slander on your real life beliefs and political views—all because in the context of a fictional series, you prefer the villain organization over the hero.
I have never seen anybody use a real world religion as a shield for their space wizards but Jedi Stan’s do it. Like calm down. Sith Stans don’t have to use Buddhism as a shield for anything bc we literally know they’re evil and flawed but we don’t care bc it’s fake. When the sith get wiped out, and Jedi Stan’s have their fun, I don’t call them “pro genocide” bc it’s fake chill out. I’m not besties with the Sith Order idgaf if they live or die. No emotional impact on me bc they fake
But when I say “damn 10k jedi couldn’t even beat one 63 year old man that’s hilarious. Damn rip Sidious dumbass got thrown in the deathstar pit lmao” I get called an facist and pro genocide
I say all that to say that the practice of using real marginalized groups, and religions as a shield to defend the Jedi is disrespectful and needs to end. A lot of y’all are way too emotionally attached to the Jedi order so maybe take a page out of their teachings and lighten up. Y’all is attached to this Order for no reason like Yoda and nem ain’t give you a penny but y’all acting like these is real people who play a role in your life

I think that “Anakin was a slave child who was groomed by Palpatine and raised by someone who wasn’t ready to take on a child, thereby leaving him in a social limbo state where he’s surrounded by people but only has a few close confidants, with the one he trusts the most actively trying to take advantage of him”
and
“Anakin was taught right from wrong from a young age, first by his mother and then by Kenobi, but any time he was presented with a choice, actively CHOSE WRONG EVERY SINGLE TIME”
are two sentences that can, should, and MUST coexist to fully understand Anakin Skywalker as a character
Edit: PART 2 of this post here

“falling to the dark side” is the jedi’s way of stripping agency from anybody who breaks away from them or disagrees with them, it relies on the notion that jedi beliefs are the default & that “nobody could POSSIBLY be a decent, sensible person and NOT want to be a jedi”, & that’s how they get away with othering and conquistadoring anybody who doesn’t think like them.
same energy as “believe what i believe or you’re gonna burn in hell forever” and “my ex is a crazy bitch you can’t trust anything they say”.

If I had a nickel for every time Mace Windu mistreated Anakin in the movies, I wouldn't have any money because it didn't happen.

One thing I like about the Sith Code is that it reveals a core belief when you contrast it with the Jedi Code, specifically the way it’s written. The Sith codes uses a lot of me’s and my’s, showing that it’s a very selfish ideology. It doesn’t say that “Our Chains Are Broken” and not even “The Chains Are Broken” but “*My* Chains Are Broken”
The Jedi Code, by contrast, doesn’t even use pronouns. Like the Jedi, it’s very focused on something beyond the self. It doesn’t talk about what the speaker gains from their force abilities, but how the force is used to make the galaxy a much safer and more enlightened place.
Edit: typo

amazing, every word of what you said was incorrect. no one likes you evangelical weirdos. i have never agreed with the jedi for a single moment, they were always conservative christian goosesteppers that used pretty platitudes to stroke their control freak tendencies and thought police & commit unspeakable atrocities to whatever they deem "unnatural" and "dark" and "an abomination that's gonna burn in hell for all eternity. fuck y'all.
Okay I'm gonna break this down real simple like.
The Light Side of The Force is The Force in balance.
The Dark Side is a corruption of The Force. An infection.
The Jedi serve The Force. They are subservient to it.
The Sith subvert The Force. They bend it to their will in an unnatural way.
The Light Side is peace. It is acknowledging your negative emotions without being consumed by them, and living in harmony with The Force.
The Dark Side is suffering. It is succumbing to your negative emotions and being consumed by them.
The Jedi defend life.
The Sith exert their will on those weaker than themselves.
Light = Jedi = Good
Dark = Sith = Evil
Hope this helps.
Also the grey Jedi aren't a thing and the concept is stupid.

The funniest thing about Star Wars is that the fandom looked at the peaceful warrior monks whose whole thing is being selfless and practicing emotional self-control, and decided that they were an abusive death cult...while simultaneously looking at the actual abusive death cult and going- "oh yeah, these guys Allow Love™️ and are 100% found family" -even though being abusive towards and murdering your loved ones and your fellow Sith is literally the main requirement for being one alongside being a shit person and committing atrocities
Palpatine murdered his entire family, abused literally every apprentice he had, and then committed multiple genocides and dragged the galaxy into a dark age of fear and pain
Maul murdered a ton of people, literally took every chance he could to ruin Obi-Wan's life and kill those close to him, abused Savage while "training" him, and kidnapped and manipulated a child to try and take him on as an apprentice while also trying to murder his family
Dooku helped orchestrate the plot that eventually got his padawan killed, attempted to kill his padawan's padawan, cut off the arm of his padawan's padawan's padawan, tried to enslave the galaxy and murder his family- (the Order) -and abused both Ventress and Savage while they were under his tutelage
Ventress abused Savage and forced him to murder his brother, took part in trying to enslave the galaxy, killed tons of innocents, and then tried to murder her former master in his sleep
Anakin's path to the Dark Side is literally marked by him doing worse things and more of them especially to those close to him, his Fall culminates in him murdering- (or attempting to murder) -his wife and unborn children as well as him trying to kill his brother/father figure and committing two genocides at once, he plunges the galaxy into a dark age, then continues to commit atrocities, also tries to kill his padawan a lot, tortured his daughter, and cut off his son's hand
...
So tell me again how these people are the- "uwu found family" -trope and are So Great because They Allow Love, because...idk, I'm not seeing it

there’s no such thing as “light” or “dark” sides of the force, there never was. its all just different expressions & experiences of the same energy field. “falling to the dark side” is but a religious scare tactic akin to “you’re good and are going to heaven if you believe what we believe but if you don’t you’re gonna burn in hell for all eternity”, no amount of palpatine’s generation of fuckery, the psychos within the sith that could also be found within any group of ppl, or jedi worship will ever convince me otherwise.
suck it bitches

It's interesting how when you rewatch 'Revenge of the Sith,' you realize that all of the little anti-jedi lines the fandom has parroted (and still parrots) for years comes straight out of the mouth of Sidious.
Like I know I'm not the first person to realize this OR even mention it, but I just always find it interesting.

nnnnno, the jedi just suck. their whole thing minus their self hype boils down to “be like me or else you’re a corrupted abomination & you deserve to either die or repent for existing”. if anything, ppl like qui gon, kanan, cal, etc either didn’t know any better & had no idea what they were being taught was unhealthy & bad weird,
or they knew and just continued to double down in their cope of “no the jedi MUST be right it’s everybody else that’s wrong” and were just as much accomplices in the jedi’s slaughter and genocide of nonbelievers as the rest of them. if anything, they were good little idiots who did whatever they were told as long as it carried the jedi’s hollow promise of goodness and justice. they drank the kool-aid.
if anything, we like anakin and ahsoka because they at least thought for themselves, even when they called themselves “jedi”, and eventually broke away from that cult to be their own people.
ain’ nobody forgetting the jedi’s puritan habit of throwing away and demonizing anybody, pupil or otherwise, that questions or even outright disagrees with the jedi notion of the force; suggests that maybe the jedi are wrong.
just take the L, you’re not fooling anybody. not even the mfs who pretend to believe you and back you up out of cope.
Anakin and Ahsoka are “pick-me’s.”
Don’t worry, I’ll elaborate.
Anti-Jedi folks will always, always, lift these two assholes up as “better than all the rest of the Jedi.”
They’ll say that they have “empathy,” and “compassion,” and that they “care about the little people and not just the politicians in the Senate”—or whatever the fuck else they wanna say—all because Ahsoka and Anakin “Aren’t Like Other Jedi™️”
Now, theoretically, you could say the same thing about Qui-Gon, Kanan, Cal, etc. except for the fact that they themselves don’t believe that.
They loved being Jedi, they viewed themselves as being Jedi, they loved their fellow Jedi and the Order. They didn’t betray their family, they didn’t blame their family for their own fucking genocide or basically call their practices stupid because “look how much better I am teehee.”
Qui-Gon, Kanan, Cal…they loved the Order and being Jedi in a way that Ahsoka and Anakin didn’t.
Ahsoka’s change is partly Anakin’s fault, since she only changed after being his padawan, but that doesn’t change the fact that now she’s so entrenched in her own ignorance that she truly believes that the Jedi brought on their own genocide because they didn’t train non-Force-sensitives.
So yeah, Anakin and Ahsoka are massive pick-me’s and y’all are too.

Jedi Antis: The Jedi are too caught up in politics! They have power to change things, they just don't!
Meanwhile, the Jedi:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every time they argue with a politician, they are shot down.
I wonder what that could mean? That maybe they don't have as much political power as the antis seem to believe? That maybe *gasp* they were meant to be the victims of Palpatine's manipulation the whole time?
