The Future of Lil Miss Rarity

Hello everyone, this is Jay Tonique (formerly known as Lil Miss Jay), the writer, artist, everything other than the music in the Lil Miss Rarity animation for the blog "Lil Miss Rarity."

As some of you know, Lil Miss Rarity was an ongoing outlet for my physical, verbal and emotional abuse I was suffering prior to and leading up to Lil Miss Rarity's release, October 11th 2011.

The blog took off so heavily that my entire artistic career became a viable future for me, allowing me to profit from my art, build a huge loving fanbase, and even allowing me to become something of a celebrity in the Brony community (even very much hated by a large portion of the community).

It's needless for me to say that Lil Miss Rarity not only changed but saved my life. I was on the verge of taking my own life around the time the blog was started, due to the abuse I was going through, and if it weren't for the success of the blog that fateful October week, I would certainly not be here, typing this right now. I owe my life to you all, and the support you've given me for this blog.

However, it's time for the news I know very few people want to hear. In fact, I'm sure just reading this line right here has people's hearts sinking, but please, don't be anxious, please read the full post.

I would like to say: Please read the full post, I am going to be very clear about the future.

Moving forward, Lil Miss Rarity will no longer be updated, and the blog is officially entirely over, as of this post.

I am still looking for a musician to commission a new song for the remake of the Lil Miss Rarity animation on YouTube, which will be my final major update involving the blog, and then I will be putting the blog entirely to rest. The animation will serve as a fond emotional farewell to Lil Miss Rarity.

However, that's not the end of the twisted grimdark storytelling. I have decided to make a spiritual successor, a new IP, entirely my own and not using My Little Pony as a crutch.

I won't get too into it, but I left the Brony fandom long ago. It was both the greatest thing to ever happen in my life, and the absolute worst thing to ever happen in my life. I met great friends, but also met unbelievably horrible sick people, many of which I literally got FBI involvement to deal with and many of which are literally in prison now.

Due to this, and many many more reasons I'm leaving out, I cannot and will not continue to be a part of the fandom. This is just a few reasons, as well, that continuing to have Lil Miss Rarity exist as a My Little Pony blog just doesn't make any sense to me.

So what am I doing moving forward?

A brand new IP called "Melodi." It's about a magic school student who is part of a wealthy family who goes on a magical twisted adventure in a horrifying grimdark world.

It will have characters either very slightly or very heavily inspired by the characters of Lil Miss Rarity, with Melodi of course being inspired by Rarity.

It will also be an ongoing web comic, similar to LMR, and will encourage fan feedback just as much as LMR did, but will not be an Ask Blog like LMR.

I plan to release character concepts for the cast of Melodi soon.

Now, there's probably a lot of questions moving forward, so I'll try to answer them now, as well as in asks on this blog, though I'd prefer you send the asks about Melodi to my main blog at http://www.jayisbutts.com/ask

Here's some questions I think will be asked, and I'll answer them here:

"Will this blog be on Tumblr?" - Yes, and on Patreon. Each update will be on Patreon first. When an update comes out on Patreon, the previous update will go public at the same time on Tumblr.

"Don't you think the LMR fanbase you've garnered for 12 years are gonna be upset about this?" - I'm 100% certain they will be, yes. However, I hope that most people who hear this news are excited to see Melodi in the future. I'm very proud of what I've created with LMR, and happy about how many lives I've changed and how many people have told me how much they love LMR. People with the heart-brand tattoo, people with LMR tattoos, people who cosplay as LMR, LMR fanart still being made regularly to this date, real-life Opal dolls, fan-dubs of the comic, fan animations, Anime Music Videos, etc etc etc. I love each and every one of you and I hope that I can one day garner the same amount of love for Melodi as I received for LMR. Thank you all so much for your support.

"What if someone else wants to carry on the LMR blog or use the characters to make their own?" - Please, do. LMR is officially Public Domain as of this post, and I strongly encourage LMR fan-fiction, fan-blogs, etc. I would love if someone could do LMR better than I did. I will very happily use this blog going forward to showcase new LMR blogs and fan-content that I like, and I will very gladly be a guest artist from time to time on an update or two to those blogs. You all have my blessing to take LMR and do with her whatever you want.

"Are you still remaking the LMR animation?" - Yes, I'm still actively seeking a musician to make an official LMR theme that will play in the background of it. It will be a glorious farewell to LMR.

"Is the heart-brand still a thing in Melodi?" - Absolutely, yes. The one incredibly major staple being carried over to Melodi is the heart brand. That symbol has become synonymous with LMR.

"What about the eye scars?" - Probably not. There will be facial scarring of some kind, yes, but considering the new story will not involve killing a cat (not yet anyway), she probably won't have the eye scars.

"Black eye with white pupil?" - We'll see! (It is a sign of Malice's corruption to have a black left eye, so almost certainly yes, but we'll see!)

"Ponies? Humans? Furries?" - I haven't fully decided. In my head, Melodi is a human, but I could also see her being a cat. I'm not sure what I wanna do just yet. However, she will not be a pony. She's gonna be far more human shaped. With boobies.

"Is this one gonna have porn?" - Nope! Not directly as part of the blog, no. Sexual encounters are going to happen in a very fade-to-black way, or a cropped-off-screen sort of way, yes. And there will be sexy characters, like monster girls or demon girls, and I'm sure people will find Melodi herself sexy, too. However, the blog is not going to contain actual porn. No full nudity. It will have what some would refer to as "fetish content," as with LMR, but it's not porn.

"Final question, so... LMR is just... dead? As of now?" - In terms of receiving updates from me, all that will be made is the LMR animation. But no, I certainly hope LMR is not dead. I would love to see the blog live on through other artists I've inspired. You all have my blessing to keep her alive forever.

one thing i have decided is that i should just..stop explaining myself and my choices at any given time bc at the end of the day this is MY blog and MY smau and MY characters and I get to decide what to do and how to do it and there's no point in trying so hard to adjust everything to everyone's liking bc there will ALWAYS be someone who's mad and triggered and annoyed and bothered and critical no matter what i do and hinestly atp im just..tired 😭

im one of the worst people pleaser ever but i have noticed that as soon as i start shifting my focus on the things people tell me to do differently (regardless of if i asked or not) i lose motivation bc i feel dictated and controlled.

what i'm trying to say is: if you feel triggered, mad or bothered by my smaus and choices, i unfortunately don't really know what to do other than try my best to be considerate but at the end of the day, your triggers are not my responsibility.

sending so much love to everyone and i know this will make me receive a lot of criticism but i'm willing to deal with it bc after 5 years in the tumblr writing community i have realised that i gotta stop pleaskng everyone and focus on myself and what i want bc this is MY art.

additionally to this: i started off quite strong with the depictions of my reader insert from hype boy through poison and SB all the way to CH did i go with the same concept of a reader insert, so im probably not gonna change it anytime soon bc it's what i feel the most comfortable with. and i know people dont get the whole why reader insert if you're gonna give them a face claim anyway but to me it's mostly bc i HATE writing in third/first person and i simply dont wanna create ocs. on top of that it's nothing new and has been done for quite a while. there are plenty of smau writers who take the reader insert literally and if that's what you're looking for, you should go and read that. no harsh feelings, nothing but love. i just wanna be sure i write for myself and myself only from now on 🩷

IMPORTANT NEWS

Hello everyone!! I know it has been awhile i'm active in tumblr since i mostly more active in Discord and i apologies for that :'] but that's not the news that i'm giving for you guys.

The news is that i'm leaving the Smiling Psychopaths AU, meaning that Lovesick!Bobby BearHug or Lovesick AU that i created will NOT have any connection with the Smiling Psychopaths. If you wanna ask why i'm leaving the group? I'm too uncomfortable to explain but Me and Lego aren't friends anymore, again, i have my reason and i'm uncomfortable to explain it.

I'm probably gonna redesign a lot of thing in this blog or maybe make a new one and deleted this one, who knows? As i'm in my final exams so my focus is on that for now but after my final exams, i'm going to focus on my Lovesick AU.

The Lovesick AU is still the same just without the Smiling Psychopaths or ever making them. Also, for @jumptothemoon i want you to put down my Poison!Hoppy's art and everything about her. No, i'm not mad at you but i prefer to not seeing my creations since that was created for Lego, everything i made for Lego, i wanted it to put down. So please, understand me as i wanted nothing to be involved with him. You can make your own Psychopaths Hoppy with your idea, lore and everything.

Anyway, i'm thankful for everything in the Smiling Psychopaths AU but this is a goodbyw for that AU and a HELLO to the redesign Lovesick Au (soon) :]

First of all, any type of emotions that may awaken inside of Mafuyu will be stronger than usual, thanks to her general struggle to comprehend and understand them! As such, everything may hit her a bit harder than usual...

It starts off small and slow, as does every emotion with this girl. It probably starts from you wanting to get to know the perfect student of your class better as thanks for her help! And with that, immediately creating a ton of questions inside her head about why.

She can't find the coldness in herself to reject your attempts to start small talk though, which is her first sign that something is off. She should usually be prioritizing her studies, pleasing her mom and returning home by this point, yet she's spending time with you...

Once she speaks about it with niigo, they decide to allow her to spend more time with you! Yet, this is where it starts to get dangerous. She eventually asks for your number, and you'll be receiving texts at the most random of times, creating conversations that are so long you feel uncomfortable, so...

"What do you mean you have to go? Didn't we agree that our conversations would be a break from the homework, and eyes of others? Why do you want to give up this safe space? ... Just for a while? An obligation?... Alright. Only if you call me back when you're done."

Of course this doesn't put her at peace at all, and she soon finds out just how badly you have taken over her every thought. However, with that, she also feels incredible relief every time she gets to see you after school, or send you a message, or see your reply. It's a constant wave of comfort, tranquility, something she now knew she desperately needed.

So then, she decides that more drastic measures are needed! She invites you to a mystical place, where no one will interrupt you two! She gives a heads up to the rest of her group to not interrupt them, as she leads you inside using her phone!

Once you stray to panic, she quickly grabs you with an iron grip, and calls for the other vocaloids to help her to detain you! That is when she explains the existence of the Sekai, and the reason why she dragged you here...

"... I need you. I've spent every day of my life pressured to be perfect by the world around me. So pressured, that I've forgotten what it's like to live without this oppression, freely and emotionally. However, you show me peace, happiness that i never knew how to feel. So, stay with me. In here. Away from the gaze of others... Please..."

Ena has always been slightly intense with showing and acting upon her emotions, so it isn't much of a stretch to assume that her love could also be quite the intense and passionate affair! Perhaps too passionate...

She falls easily when you start complimenting her art during her night classes! Not just one is gonna do it though, you need to constantly compliment her every piece, while not overdoing it! That way, she starts looking at you in a different light than her classmates, seeking you outside of classes, constantly messaging you, and even starting to paint more just to hear your compliments!

"Hey! Sorry to call you this late at night, but I just finished a new piece! Heheh, I made sure to call you as soon as I finished it, since you seem to like them so much! I don't mind, really, since hearing your happiness towards my work is quite satisfying..."

It doesn't take long for her love for your compliments and encouragement to grow out of control, as she constantly messages you at pretty unconventional times of the day, and starts becoming unstable and afraid if you even take a small amount of time to respond.

She confronts you about it if you do it multiple times, and her voice is full of emotions! Anger, frustration, desperation, and more... She soon starts to cry as she unloads everything she feels whenever you tell her some nice words at once, even starting to shout, and scream everything that passes through her mind...

It takes a while for her to regain a sense of stability, and even longer for her tears to stop flowing. That's when she decides to give you a choice, having a moment of realization about her unhealthy obsession. You could try to fix her, stay with her to help her along, or you could decide to not trigger her any further, and distance yourself.

"L-Listen, I... I've always been awful at controlling my emotions. And what I feel for you... It's too strong for me. It's been making me act like I never have before. It's... Frustrating, but I have no idea if your presence is good for me anymore. So I know I'm not in a position to make the choice. Please, make it for me."

If you decide to stay alongside her, she'll try her best to control her desire for attention, and ask you to help her to control her emotions! However, her emotions will grow stronger with each day she spends alongside you, so it'll take a lot of effort to keep them controlled.

If you decide to leave, she'll reconnect with her group mates again, and try to forget about your presence in her life! However that will be quite difficult, as not only are you her classmate, but she has always been bad at keeping her emotions at bay for long...

If you have more ideas for what we could do, please reach out! Here's a Google Form where you can put your ideas in! This is the same form that was already floated around in April of this year, so if you took part back then, you don't need to do so again!

When are we celebrating?

April 23rd 2023 is a Sunday, and with all the above ideas, we hope to be able to fill two entire weeks leading up to it, starting from April 13th (another 13! This can't be a coincidence!) for example by having a prompt for each of those days.

If we do another Zoom meeting, the 23rd is probably the best date for it! It's gonna be hard to find a date that works for everyone, we know that, but we hope that with this much of a heads-up, hopefully everyone who wants to come hang out can make it work.

There are many things you can do!

You can create art, or fic, or any creation for Bering and Wells (prompt list will be posted as soon as they are finalized!), you can reblog what others are posting, you can just enjoy what people come up with, you can join us in Zoom and hang out, you can sign up for the Big Bang as an artist, a writer, or a beta reader, you can kudos or comment on anything that gets posted to AO3 - any kind of participation is just fine!

Introduction post!!

Hello to anyone who passes by. Here's a little tiny story of how I ended up here and what's this thing about. I have TL DR at the bottom, feel free to scroll.

So, Undertale fandom was my main for years now. It's my huge passion, I'm always excited to see anything related (Deltarune included). Also, since getting to know the game I've begun drawing a lot and now I hope to relate my life with art in some way. Especially animation!

A lot has happened recently. A little less than a year ago I've made up an OC to return to roleplaying community (which I was also into 'cause of Undertale). This OC since has been growing a ton. Also, I've got a new group of friends, we've been playing fan games together, I got to watch Underverse... And a bunch of other stuff. Being a probably-undiagnosed-with-something lil guy who quickly gets fixated on things, I got super excited and inspired. So...

Undertale:Embrace. The AU I mentioned above is getting something. Probably a combo of traditional animation like in Underverse, fake gameplay thingy like GG!Underfell (these projects are really influencing me recently) and crappy remix of original soundtracks since I don't know how to make music but have this image in my head I want to somehow show. So sorry if your ears bleed lol. Art is somewhat decent tho!

I can't really show much rn, yet I think I'm gonna post updates here and upload the completed videos on YouTube. I think creating this blog will somehow bring me motivation to keep going. Tbh I was reluctant for a long time, but now I realise that if we fans patiently wait for Undertale Yellow for 7 years or new Underverse episodes... you name it - then I have chances of getting attention even if I'm slow.

Basically, what I want is to share my art and see other people interested in my little guys. Oh, and the reason I chose Tumblr is non-existing. I just don't use any major social media besides my local one, and I don't have any following there. And I heard that Tumblr is somewhat supporting, so why not give it a try?

ok quick 2022 highlights while i'm here (cue bgm seventeen - highlight, alt iz*one highlight. two bangers, either one will do):

2022 was actually the best mental health year i've had in like, over 10 years (we still got a loooooong way to go, but like. maybe i'm actually on the way up which is cool ??). i also ummm got into kpop in late july 2022 and my life has literally changed so much since (for the better, i feel). i saw nct-127 live in october and i cried the entire time, and i uhhhh got engaged (???!?!?!!) in november which is crazy (literally cannot believe another person wants to spend their life with me,, as a person who is generally very bad at receiving love that is SO wild to me but it is also literally forcing me to accept love and i am therefore getting better at doing that ! does that make sense ? i'm not fully with it rn, this is the latest i've stayed up in awhile lmao. anyways it's been a good year. i went to new york city and my fiancé and i spent entirely too much money on kpop stuff. we went to the beach also. and successfully held down the same job for a whole calendar year (never happened before). good year.

i want to do more art next year. i used to do art every day (literally for almost my whole life up until this past summer). i've had a massive creative block for months, i feel like i can only consume media and not create it and that has really sucked. but, i did make something recently !! something i will post very soon...spoiler it is a photo edit that i got a lil more creative with and i'm reeeally happy with it ! which is why i'm scared to post it LOL but i'm gonna do it. i'm gonna be brave !!

yeah, i think i will try and be brave in the new year. be brave and make art. vague enough to work.

also, i probably listened to 1,500+ different kpop songs in just the second half of 2022, that's crazy. can you imagine how much more kpop i can listen to if i apply myself this year ??? i am literally never bored anymore, thanks to kpop. and i have a lot of fun posting on this blog, so thank you to anyone reading this for being part of it ily happiest new year to you specifically <33

“Quick” Blog/Writing/Art Update: May/June 2023

Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience! Sorry, it’s been awhile, but I do hope to be back soon! I’ve had a good long rest from the stresses of social media (I wish I could also say life as well, but I’ve learned it does what it wants!), and I hope to be at least semi active again by the time Bleach is back in early July! Thanks again for your patience! 🥰

Now unfortunately when I say semi-active, I really do mean semi-active. I won’t go into detail about my real life stuff, but it causes me enough stress that I’ve realized I can’t deal with it and social media stress at the same time. So I probably won’t be on here as often, and will be posting even less, but I want you all to know that I still love all y’alls stuff and will look at it when I can! I took a peek just recently to try and get back into the groove (the app has really changed in the last few months, huh?) and saw you all were talking about Soul Society Trains awhile back, and I’m so sorry I missed it because OMIGOSH DO I WANT IT TO BE CANON! Like can you imagine if Squad 12 designed one?! It would be a horror show, with a bunch of little feet and eyes and horns and UGH! Or maybe, due to how Soul Society is layed out, it’s a subway instead! Maybe it's an immortal mole creature that travels underground on some well known migratory route, and if you’re knowledgeable and crazy enough, you can just grab its fur and hold on tight to get where you need to go faster! Where was I going with this? Oh, right! You all are great, and I hope to read more of your ideas, and headcanons, and other stuff whenever I’m able!

What else…oh yes, posting content. So you know how I was talking about social media stress? Yeah, posting causes a lot of that. Creating though, causes less of that though, sometimes even decreases it. Like I literally sleep better if I write fanfiction before bed (sad, I know, but hear me out). So what’s the solution? Well, I could just never post, but I like sharing with others too! So what I’ve decided to do instead is post in seasons kind of like a tv show! I’ll work on fanfiction/fanart throughout the year, and then once October hits, I’ll post whatever I finish on a sort of schedule, like every Saturday or something. That way, I won’t feel stressed to get something out every month and I can work on multiple stories at the same time (which is my preferred way to write)! That said, since I won’t be online as much, I may be pretty slow in answering messages/questions/comments/etc, so I want to apologize in advance. Know that I still love and appreciate all of you, and will get back when I can! 

Hmmm…Any last details? Oh yes, fanart and Bloodlines. I’m gonna be honest, y’all, fanart has been slow coming. I wanted to do more fan comics, but I haven’t had a lot of inspiration or motivation lately. I unfortunately might have to save that idea for next year, but if I do, I do have a back up plan that I think you all will like, so hopefully that works out. But for now, we’ll just have to wait and see!

Bloodlines…will be out…this year…or so help me, I’ll- *cough* Anyway, work on it has been going steadily, which should make me happy, but for some reason has got me extremely nervous. Like, is it going steadily because it’s close to finishing? Or is it going steadily because I missed a major flaw? Like will I be about to post it and realize I need to REWRITE THE ENTIRE THING! These thoughts plague me. Current improvements! I’ve learned what chapter hooks are and have implemented them to make the beginnings more interesting! Also, while I think Bloodlines is still a good “series” title, it is no longer a good title for the piece. The new working title is “Learning to Breathe”. I think that better encapsulates the story I’m trying to tell! Current worries! Is the climax “climaxy” enough? Does the build up pay off in the end? Do the dramatic moments make sense? DO I NEED TO REWRITE THE ENTIRE THING??? 

Anyway, I think that is finally, actually it! If you made it to the end, that’s pretty amazing of you! One day, I’ll learn to summarize my thoughts better, but today is not that day! See you all in July when Bleach comes back! I’m so hyped!

New intro since need update things.

Name: Kiku or Percy. Refer to self in third person here mostly because is easier on brain and it help Kiku unmask. Kiku is getting more comfortable talk like this when need to.

Kiku is an adult aac user. Unreliably speaking, can't talk most of time so usually refer to self as nonverbal or nonspeaking. Have some speech at times but not often. And often when have speech it not understandable. Kiku is an AAC user. Kiku uses TD Snap, Proloquo2go, LAMP words for life, and Proloquo. Kiku hopes to get a dedicated device with LAMP on it at some point but don't know when/if that gonna happen.

Kiku is multiply disabled, autistic, adhd, dyspraxic/apraxic, dyslexic, other learning disabilities, hEDS, pots, possible mcas, fibromyalgia, and tourettes, probably mentally ill in some way, mobility aid user (want a wheelchair, forearm crutches, and a rollator. Was using a cane for a while but it make wrists hurt).

Kiku is nonhuman, and identifies with lot of different creatures.

Kiku has many special interests, ones currently most active are AAC, Minecraft, Slumberkins, Werewolves, Big Mouth (netflix show), my little pony, and bunnies.

Kiku is trans, genderqueer, genderfluid, autigender, and altersex. He/She/They/Fae and bunself and pupself neopronouns pronouns please. Neopronouns preferred. Kiku is not a woman.

Kiku is polyamorus and has two partners. Kiku is also objectum/posic. But usually not post about on main. Kiku has a side blog for that.

Kiku is an age regressor due to trauma and uses it as a coping mechanism. Agere is not Kink (although Kiku thinks there is nothing wrong with Kink as long as is between consenting adults).

Kiku is an adult and may post adult related content, especially related to aac, but this not super likely. But disabled and aac using adults can do adult things and access to words to talk about our bodies and possible things that could happen to our bodies is very very important. All aac user should have access to anatomical words for our body parts no matter what age they are.

Kiku is a multiply disabled autistic person living in the south. Kiku is also an artist, digitally and traditionally. Kiku just got to try an ipad with procreate on it, with an apple pencil and a paper feel screen protector. And it was amazing 😭 Kiku was able to do art better than Kiku does on paper.

Kiku and Kiku's family are poor, and Kiku can't work. But Kiku can do art commissions. Kiku would love to be able to do commissions to help us actually have enough food and essentials, but the biggest barrier for Kiku with this is having the right tools.

So Kiku is going to attempt to crowdfund to get an ipad to use just for art, paper feel screen protectors, the app Procreate, an apple pencil, and a protective case for the ipad.

Kiku knows this isn't AAC related or mobility related but but it would change Kiku's and Kiku's families life so much for Kiku to be able to do good quality commission like Kiku can do on paper.

Kiku will have to do some math to get an idea of how much money Kiku needs to do this but Kiku will update this post once figure it out.

Goal is $ 600 to make sure taxes and fees are covered.

Kiku also has an amazon wishlist with the items on it for if someone wants to help but can't use paypal. The two most expensive items are the apple pencil and the ipad.

Kiku did not think this would be necessary but guess it is. If you follow an aac user and they post images of their aac system (an aac system is all the things that person use as aac) or any aac, ask and get permission before using any images. Our aac is almost always going to be custom to us and we will be able to recognize pictures of our systems because we customised them. My aac is my voice, it is part of me, specific to me. Every aac users aac will be different and the idea of someone using pictures of our aac without asking is deeply uncomfortable to me. I can't even put into words how uncomfortable it makes me. Uncomfortable enough i'm speaking in first person on a platform I generally reserve for unmasking my writing and speak almost entirely in the third person on. Ask for permission before using images of our aac and respect a no if one is given. Images of unedited apps can be found pretty easily as can low tech versions of aac pages (versions meant to be printed to use as a form of aac that doesn't require battery).

Hi! Kiku has an important post, please share and help if can.

Kiku is trying to crowdfund the AAC app LAMP because it goes on sale soon for AAC awareness month. It is $150 plus taxes and fees so probably closer to $180.

Kiku would also like to raise funds for food because Kiku's family is low on food. Kiku's husband recently got a new job but we not know what his start date is.

For those that not follow Kiku, Kiku is a mostly nonspeaking high support needs autistic disabled aac user. Kiku currently uses Proloquo2go but would also like to have LAMP for the motor planning aspect which works very well for Kiku.

So since Elvis fans are discussing the new announcement…I guess I’ll talk about it

So for those who don’t know, it was announced that Sofia Coppola, acclaimed filmmaker and one that I actually kinda like, is making a bio-pic about Priscilla Presley, specifically about her memoir Elvis and Me (which is a great read btw).

But not only that, but casted in the role of Elvis is Jacob Elordi who dated Kaia Gerber who is currently dating Austin.

That’s the most I will ever talk about celebrity news.

Okay.

I love Sofia’s work. I think she’s a great filmmaker and I would love to see how she’d adapt the book with her style.

However.

The movie won’t be out for a while. Casting announcement means this thing is probably well into pre-production. And a big budget Hollywood bio-pic from a critically acclaimed director that will want to be an awards contender, won’t be out for a while. The guess being thrown around in the fandom is 2024.

However.

The casting announcement coming out practically three months after Elvis (2022)’s release while we’re still riding the high, and even the movie itself, feels like a deliberate cash grab to capitalize on all this new Elvis hype.

And that must suck for Austin and Jacob who are now going to be pitted against each other and constantly compared.

But also yeah. Austin worked his ass off for this role and now someone else is riding his high. That must be unfair.

And yeah. I’m not sure how Priscilla and Lisa Marie will take to this.

Idk how the book rights work with this whole thing. Like idk if Priscilla owns the book rights but the vibe I’m getting is she wasn’t consulted and I have no clue how true that is. But Elvis (2022) was the most accurate film on Elvis’s life and it was the one the family was the most happy with. So this does feel a little insulting that this announcement is riding the high of a film that was truly a passion project for those involved.

So what are my thoughts?

I don’t know dude. On one hand, I’m interested in another version of this story especially done by another pretty great filmmaker. But on the other, it feels so cash grabby and like a PR stunt. Like Jacob being cast is not a coincidence. And I don’t want to compare the two, even though I think Austin is probably going to be the better of the two

We’ll see what happens but yeah this whole thing does leave a bad taste in my mouth

I'm Not Late It's Still January 1st Shut, Shut Up

Can we just like imagine that today is not 4 days after New Years and that it is instead still New Years and I did not once again spend nearly a week procrastinating writing 5 sentences about random words that pop up in my brain okay?

I don't normally make any kind of new years resolutions or anything like that because I am incapable of holding myself accountable for any kind of long-term goal, but I am at least glad that there are no more upcoming holidays and that I can go back to normal levels of mentally ill instead of christmas levels of mentally ill. I do have some goals tho, but I wouldn't really consider them "new year's resolutions", moreso just long-term goals that I've had for a while that I'm somewhat closer to reaching this year than I ever have been in the past. My first priority is absolutely moving out of my father's house, I hate living in this hell-hole and I have for a long time, originally my goal was to be out by the end of March of this year, but I started searching for apartments to move out to around September, and failed to take into account the fact that the time right before Christmas is probably the worst time to be looking for available apartments, and that I always get cripplingly depressed around the holidays which makes it kinda hard to motivate myself to do anything actually productive (no clue how I didn't foresee the 2nd one, that happens every year). So yeah I pretty much had to put that on hold for a while so that end of March goal definitely isn't happening now, so instead now I think I'm just gonna go for an "as soon as realistically possible" deadline lol. I'd also like to start hrt, that's definitely not realistically happening this year though, I'd have to be out on my own before I even start looking into that, and from what I've heard the process of going through doctors to actually get on hrt is a nightmare and can take forever, so almost definitely not a this year goal, but still a goal. I'd also like to get back to doing art of any kind, there's not really anything stopping me, just myself, but like, maybe I'll feel like opening up Clip Studio or Blender, or buying more painting supplies again sometime this year.

I guess I also would like to use this blog more often, I'm not gonna like force myself to write like everyday or anything, I feel like if I did that after a while it would just create more issues, but venting every once in a while is actually pretty good and helpful and I don't do that enough. I'm really bad about just not opening up at all to anyone around me, so having a space where I'm pretty much just be talking to myself that's also relatively disconnected from a majority of the rest of my life is pretty therapeutic. Nowhere else can I write 5 paragraphs about idk the sex appeal of Metal Sonic's hands or something, and not be yelled at for being weird (and if I do get yelled at for being weird GIANT DEATH LASER KILL). Also I need to actually post more things instead of just making 50 drafts each month and not having the confidence/motivation to actually finish or post most of them. Need to make my posts more unhinged too, need more Terriermon-button-core posts, I truly am at my peak 5 minutes after waking up, and after 30 hours of no sleep. I should probably also try to be less self-conscious about reblogging stuff, I have literally no reason to be and should do it more.

I don't walk as much as I do and there's not much motivation to walk more, especially when i'm tired or uninterested. I thought i'd download a fun stepcounter like game app on android to motivate me! But the games that involve the stepcounter aren't really that fun. So for a while i've had this interest to build a game that motivates me to walk more that is actually fun. Originally the plan was to build an app that would move an in-game character whenever I moved so I can watch my character move in game while I was walking and enjoy the same type of scenery my character does. The fun bit, is that the game character would be walking through my favorite game worlds, like Hyrule Field etc. Sorta like that wii fit game where you would walk through the island. But after some consideration I realized that's not really fun. And I can't really walk and look at my phone screen at the same time... so I scrapped that idea and went with this:

I thought, well if I want an in-game character to move with me maybe I should just make it as simple as possible, make the character move somewhere (and make it meaningful)! So me, as an unexperienced developer, might just be able to pull it off! The basic idea is that you walk in real life, build up step 'currency', and then use that in-game step currency to send your little character off to different locations!

After a few minutes of walking we can send the character off on an adventure! I'm still brainstorming on how to make the sit-down or loop portion of the game fun and engaging, but my main goal is to get the player to avoid walking in one solid long burst but rather in multiple small bursts. So maybe 5 or 10 minutes. That way the you're not locked out of playing the game but also you don't just immediately burn yourself out. Now i'm still thinking of how the game mechanics work but since this is my first time making a game i'm still learning, experimenting, and researching as I go. Basically I just want to make myself walk a little more. I can sorta draw, so i'm not really too worried about the in-game art. I want the player and the road area to be 3d and I have a little experience with blender so i'm not too worried about creating assets and what not, but I have 0 experience with making or drawing materials so I think it'll be a fun learning experience. I want the backgrounds to be sorta like sprites.

Here's the idea, I took the sprite off an image from google dot com. But imagine the background being trees, or desert, or ocean, and the far background being mountains, sky, hills, etc. I'm not sure how i'm gonna pull it off but I want to keep it simple so its easy to build and also not too taxing on mobile devices. The pink block is just a stand-in asset that was quick and easy to impliment. I'll probably rig up a chibi like 3d character that can walk but that'll be near the end of the project. So, that's everything I was able to set up in the last 10 days. I'm a very slow programmer and developer, and everything. So this might take me a while to set up. I want to play this game as soon as possible so I don't want to spend too much time thinking or making it super pretty. But idk we'll see how long this project takes. I want to build the basic core loop asap to see if its sorta fun. Next step is to show an array list of towns the player can choose from, choose a town, spend the steps, make the player animate, and at the end reward the player, and repeat the process. That'll be the most basic loop. I think I can do without too much hassle. Thanks for reading this far! Things I wanna see in Venom 3

- Eddie and Venom becoming more gay for each other

- Saying things like my love and my dear and even my other just so to make some certain people even more mad and salty

- Eddie now has fangs because of Venom's DNA or something, like if Topher Grace Eddie had it so can Tom Hardy Eddie have it as well

- Idk some sorta flashback to Brock's childhood maybe, perhaps maybe Venom's too?

- I wanna see more 2D animation included in it, like with that one scene in Venom 2 with Celtus childhood being done in sorta a Don't Starve kind of art style? but would like to see more of that

- Venom telling Eddie about the multiverse and that secret thing he was gonna say at the end of the post-credit scene

- Toxin doing some cool and evil shit, likely is gonna be eaten or killed whichever comes first likely something will also happen with Patrick Mulligan too [also update kinda but now thinking about it i don't really want Toxin to turn fully evil or be killed off, like at least be given a chance like ya know Toxin could be a friendly rival of sorts maybe]

- Sleeper, probably will end up being in the last part of the movie [but Sleeper is also a pretty new character so idk if it's too soon for that to happen?]

But yeah, ether I could be right on one thing or just be completely wrong but I guess we will see what happens when it comes out next year in 2023. Feel free to put down below of anything else you wanna see in the third movie. Even if any of what I said doesn't happen all I want is for it to be a fun and gay movie that is just enjoyable. These movies feel like live-action cartoons or anime, they have that sorta vibe and charm to them that makes them feel like that.

So likely people know this by now maybe? But I wanna bring it up because I find it kinda interesting and wanted to mention it before. So we all know the part in Venom 2 with Vee making breakfast for Eddie and singing a song called: Let's call the whole thing off by Ella F. and Louis Armstrong. At first, I just thought hey that's a cute little long, aww bless him he likes to sing. c: So after seeing the movie I find the song and start to listen to it to listen to the whole thing. But what I didn't know is how kinda sad the song is? It's a breakup song of sorts. Of a couple relationship fading away because of liking different things and such. This was used before the breakup scene happen, so basically this was used as a foreshadowing of sorts very subtle foreshadowing.

With some of the lyrics mentioning: "Things have come to a pretty pass Our romance is growing flat, For you like this and the other While I go for this and that"

"Goodness knows what the end will be Oh I don't know where I'm at It looks as if we two will never be one Something must be done"

"But oh, if we call the whole thing off Then we must part And oh, if we ever part, then that might break my heart"

This wasn't just any old random song they put in this was intentional and just good subtle foreshadowing. The whole song mentioning about different things but said in different ways like tomato and tomahto potato and potahto, pyjamas and pyjahmas etc.

My guess is that this can be seen as both being very different from one another cuz well ya know one is a human man and the other one is an alien. But also they have a very different mindset on how they look at life in very different ways.

Idk maybe I'm looking far too deep into this and it's also late on my end when I type this but surely there was a reason why this song was chosen right?
