About the post on pro/anti death arguments : i was a bit surprised by the notes i left being put in a post and used as rapresentation of a position i don't fully support , but i am not going to hold grudges or make judgments , it's not my objective , i am just expressing surprise at the normal thing that happend .

However i wanted to ask in order to avoid pointless fights wheter you where looking for an honest discussion in wich we try and give the benefit of doubt to each other points as and try to reach a position on wich we both agree ,

Or a more teatrical debate in wich our objective is to argue in favour of our position and expose our arguments for it , arguments in wich neither of us necessarly belives in but are made to see their strenght , sorry for the long ask about a past topic it's just somenthing i tought about these days

if i have to be 100% honest id say it was a bit of both, i do honestly believe everything i said in my post and argued for it in good faith, albeit with an eye to frame it as reasonable as possible and not 100% concerned with presenting the most charitable read of your comments, particularly in the "callous" acusation, since i dont think the coment about "getting rid of death would cause more problems than the ones it solves right now" really came from a place of callousness. a more honest critique is that i do think that is probably not the best way to phrase it.

but i did have an honest disagreement with your comments on my post and so i wanted to present a critique of them.

i would love to have a more rigurous and good faith conversation about the topic if you'd like

Men of the harem.A rant (more like a total slander):

Disclaimer:I dropped the series around chaliter 75 and I barely dived into the novel.

So, first of all, is the series worth reading?

Sort answer is NO.It had potential, it had great premise and great art but it did not deliver any of the things it promises it will.And the fandom is toxic af, I should've know it's a problem when reading the coments made my vein nearly explode.

But why?

First of all there is NO harem romance and by that I mean barely a few kisses.You keep reading and reading and waiting for Latil to finally spend time with her consorts and every single time she needs to go to solve some imperial shit.And that's a HUGE problem when you have "harem" in your title, no matter how good the storry is, if you don't give the readers what they came here for failed at your job.

Second huge problem:The plot

Men of the harem did something I'd warn any writer no matter their niche not to do, add to manny plot points and/or sublots.

We didn't need undeads rising, we didn't need supernatural shit going on, we didn't need 69 political problems.What we needed was Latil solving the misunderstanding with Hyachint, her moving on from that,her past, the harem plot and how she solves the mistery of her father's death.

And when the story doesn't go with 300 km/h we stop at a consort who gave another consort impotents drugs.As if Latil ever slept with any of them.

I think I lost track of what's going on after 50 chapiters and that's by no means good.So please, by all means don't do what this series did and don't worry if you think your storry has to little things to say or show, sometimes less is more.

Another major problem:The main character

Latrasil Valentine Tarium is a toxic, petty, ville and remorseless bitch.That's it, I said it and I'm not taking it back!

Where to start, well she decided to make a harem to ger revenge of her ex, it would be pretty coll if Hyacinth WASN'T BLACKMAILED I TO MARRING AINI TO WIN THE WAR.And before you say something, would you expect Latil to give up and quit the war? I don't think so.

Like girl, if he left you for another I'd understand, I don't have anyhting against you getting multiple men, but to get revenge of a man who had no choice and the fate of his nation was on his shoulders? It's not like you didn't have to fight against your own brother to take the throne that was rightfully yours and you said you understand (she understood ,my ass).Plus it turns out he sended her letters and gifts every week but they where stolen.

Like who's the petty one here? Not to mention the when she sended a letter to Karisen to ask for a consort.How the fuck was that letter aproved, no one in her office was like "Umm Your Majesty I understand he broke your heart but you should think twice before talking shit about the emperor". And in the end when he refuses (with is both understandable and a bad idea) she does some fake girlboss shit that made me cringe so hard, cuz no you ain't shit for acting like you didn't just sended an offensive full of venom letter to a foreing monarh.

And once the harem is made, she does nothing with them, she just shuts them down and treats the poorly.Especialy poor Klein say what you want about him but he didn't deserve to be mistreated like that.It made sense at first since she has an empire to rule but it got old pretty fast.Like girl you wanted a harem don't pretend you don't know how it works.

In the end I'm pretty sure getting your consorts drunk and run your soldiers to exhaustion just so you can read their minds is power abuse, how comes Sonaight allowed that to happen?

And yeah she made him miserable multiple times albeit without that being her intention.But not informing him about who Zaicin is and why she took him as a consort is a big red flag.

Their entire relationship rubs me the wrong way, there's no way she would'n figure out he has feelins for her.And considering both his dad and her maid (or nanny I forgot) told him to let it go mkles it even more clear whatever it is, it's unhealthy.I'm sorry to say it (I'm not) but the ship sank before even sailing.

Sonaught dear, you should let it go, for your own good.

I know I pissed off like half of the fandom with what I said about Latil, but remove the girlboos, strong independent woman from her character and look what's left, it won't be pleasant but it is what it is.

Also not sure if the series wanted itself to be feminist but you can't do that when there are only a handful of female characters and only one of them is consistent in the storry.

I won't ramble to much about how the fandom constantly badmouths Hyacint and magically forgets pretty important plot aspects just to hate on his since my sanity would be damaged.

In the end it's sad the series it's such a disapointment considering it was writen by the author of Remarried Empress, but sometimes people fail and that's fine. (I said that like I didn't just wipe the floor with the series)

I honestly didn't think Batman was that bad in Arkham Asylum, did something change?

It's complicated. For once Batman in the Arkham games does not kill, he is against killing and he won't let other people kill either, even the worst of his rogues. The thing is even from the start he has a huge peoblem: he doesn't think systemic change is his responsability and therefore while knowing the system is bad keeps playing the classical game of beating the rogues to an inch of their lifes and throwing them in Arkham and hoping the problem solves itself somehow. He does not realizes how he is making the system worse. How as a citizen of Gotham improving the system IS his responsability and how his power as both a vigilante and a bilionare shows that he could be decissive if he wanted to.

Another problem is that he is a huge enforcer of working alone. He is afraid of hurting his allies and keeps alienating them wich is bad for everyone. He is a good person but a deeply flawed one who realises only some of his flaws while seeing others where they don't exist.

Another thing is Arkham is a videogame. The gameplay kindda helps you ignore Batman excesive violence because you are playing as Batman and therefore the player disconects when deep on the emotion of a boss fight helps you to ignore details that you probably wouldn't in a cartoon or comic book. I never played the games only watched gameplays and a lot of times - specially with Riddler - I noticed very tragic undertones on the dialogues during a fight that the youtuber playing was to focused on not dying to process (and I think it helps to infer that in this situation the same would go for Bruce, he doesn't really understand the cries for help because they come from people who are threatning his life). Not only that but Riddler is really annoying and catching all his trophies specially in Knight (it's 400!!) is really taxing so a lot of the times the players (and we have to assume Batman) are so done with Riddler that seeing Batman beat him while he very likely has flashbacks of his father is satisfactory (see any coment section of this scenes and most people will be soo happy someone finally shut Riddler up and beat him down to care). So that helps in not noticing when Bruce is not being the most heroic person.

Not only that but in Knight in particular Bruce truly is worse. He is infected with the Joker virus during a huge part of the game and dealing with missplaced guilt over Joker's death (and having Joker halucinations isn't helping) between that the revelations over the Arkham Knight being Jason and the fear toxin he truly isn't in his right mind what may explain his conclusion that Gotham needs someone else who is darker than Batman instead of needing less violence and to break some cycles. Bruce mental health while not on Eddie or even Oswald or Havey levels deteriorated during the Arkham games as well and that made him a worse person and he sees it but takes all the wrong conclusions (it is very frustrating to see him almost getting the points).

Basically Arkham Bruce is a complex characther and that refletcs on how Gotham corrupts and how - even if it may not have been the game intention - what Gotham needs is systemic change and to Gotham to be connected to hope and light than fear and darkness. In the end either by the death of Batman or the hinted true end of Bruce truly becaming a worse darker hero who uses Crane's fear toxin as a weapon the Arkham games are a tragic story and Gotham will continue being a corrupt pitfall for a long time.

That's an excellent way to ask this question because the primary problem here is the panic.

People build new fandom spaces all the time, usually on shitty pre-existing sites like Facebook, but still. Spaces aren't going to stop existing, though they might be less enjoyable for a given fan. (I look forward to where Bobaboard goes, personally.)

The panic, however, isn't directly solved by building or finding new spaces. This feeling is about not being sure where people are or if one is cool enough to get an invite once fandom moves away.

I think it's best addressed like other anxious feelings: self soothing, making various backup plans for how to handle various scenarios, distracting oneself, making solid friends so that one's relationships transcend platforms.

He wasn't good with emotions. He knew that, you knew that, heck even his son knew that. So why both of you had to be cursed with a emotional pregnancy?

He once flipped your forehead, an action that both of you were way too used to, and you literally exploded in both yelling and crying.

Then you just started to cry harder, begging for his forgiveness SECONDS LATER.

He never felt so lost in all of his fucking life.

He awkwardly picked up the pantry and opened it before poking your leg.

"There." He offered while you lifted your puffy red eyes up with a 'huh?'. "Its yours. I went to pick it."

Kaito let go of your neck to lay his head on your arm as he sitted on your lap, snuggling a bit in your chest and very careful with the baby bump.

"Thank you hon!" You smiled brightly before picking the pantry up.

...seconds. It was in a matter of seconds that your mood changed.

He needed to finish that medice...

Kaito suddenly then glared at the baby bump, poking with a finger as he pouted.

"Is the baby's fault mommy's crying so much. Stop it. You're hurting my mom." Kaito mumbled and even before Chisaki could scold his son he stopped for a moment.

The kid wasn't exactly wrong...

"It had to be a Chisaki. Just had to." He growled before placing his gloved hand on there while lowering his mask to give you a kiss on the forehead as his free hand wiped the rest of your tears away.

"Stop with that brat. Im also tired of you making your mom cry. First your brother that made her sick and sore, now you just making my angel cry? We're going to have some troubles."

You couldn't help but laugh at seing both grumpy and talking like that... before you stopped out of the sudden and pushed Chisaki a bit to stare at hin in the eyes seriously.

"Kai? Who ate the first pantry? I know you know who it was."

He needed that medice. RIGHT NOW.

Coments on The L Word Gen Q season finale

Quiara and Shane

Quiara is gorgeus but toxic as fuck. She literally wants to force Shane to become a parent.

Shane did everything right, always being honest even when she "embraced" the idea.

Where’s Carmen? Carmen wouldn't hurt Shane like that

Bette

I already imagined that Bette would lose because if she won the show would have to deal with all the politics and would run away from the "queer group of friends" focus of the show

But when the result came out I was devastated. I wish Bette had won.

And That beautiful scene of her and Angie screaming is just all I want to do sometimes

Alice, Nat (and Gigi?)

The whole scene in Alice's show was perfect. Nat really made me like her in this scene. And that really was what she needed for her to really live happily with Alice, to solve the things she didn't solve with Gigi.

I think that this whole scene makes it kind of clear that the trouple doesn't come back for second season but I really hope they find some role for Gigi next season because every time she appears on screen my depression is cured.

If the problem is creating a storyline for the character, they can hire me to be her romantic couple, no problem at all.

Just keep Sepideh Moafi in season 2, I beg you.

Micah and Jose

I mean, Jose can be in an open marriage right? But even so, if that's the case, he should have talked to Micah first. I dont know what to think i was shoked just like Micah

Sophie, Dani and Finley

Sophie is canceled for me, she will have to work hard to earn my respect in the second season. After all, she broke Dani and Finley's heart.

And grl, wasn't it that Dani's father wasn't right? All it takes was a little hard time to Sophie to cheat and think about leaving Dani, because honestly I think that in the end she went after Finley.

Do you know what made me mad? Yes, Dani's problem was work and the priority she gave it to work. But after it's over, you can see how much there is no doubt that she loves Sophie and wants to be with Sophie.

After work was over she not only wanted to work things out with Sophie but also with her father.

And grl ... She was so happy to say that she was going to marry Sophie, while Sophie said it with no emotion in her face.

And Finley? Finley felt guilty about something she was not to blame.

Even if she was already in love with Sophie, she made no move and she tried to walk away and pretend that nothing happened after the kiss. Sophie was the one who went after her more than one time

Seeing Finley's reaction, blaming herself for what happened and afraid to destroy the relationship between Dani and Sophie, pulling the blame all on herself. It really broke my heart. I love Finley, there's something about her that really hits home for me, maybe it's "i dont know what to do with my life" thing

Sincerely, I hope that they explore the character more in the next season because for me she is the most interesting of the new ones.

PS: And was that bike stolen? FINLEY!

Ps: The actors are all amazing this season. Hate it  or love it  the character, the actors really made a good job on them. Both Jennifer Beals and Jacqueline Toboni really shines in those more dramatic scenes, and Jennifer Beals performance in that dinner scene in episode 07 was Emmy worthy for me.

Leisha Hailey had an amazing comic time, no jokes out of time. Kate Moening still manage to bring this “aura” on Shane, like she really hasnt change but you can see she changed, i dont know. 

Arienne Mandi and Rosanny Zayas had a good chemistry which makes a lil painfull watch the relationship fall apart. And , i dont know if was intentional but Arienne really brings some Bette Porter vibes to her Dani. And Rosanny didnt need to say a word to me to know what she was thinking (Thats how i know Sophie goes after Finley) 

Leo Sheng acting really gets better during the season. I wanna see more of Micah in season 2 for sure.

And i love the commitment all the actors have during the sex scenes, they are both gorgeus and real. Those scenes looks a bit akward to film, so yeah, thanks for make it great

When I was younger I took my first oral exam (in med school) with a male teacher and troughout the hour he belittled me and my knowledge making me feel like i was stupid and that i wasn't prepared to be in med school while also making coments about how women that wanted to become doctors where delusional. Later that year @taylorswift won a grammy and during her speech she encouraged young girls to believe in themselves and to never aloud men to take credits for their succes because at the end of the day it was all on themselves. That speech made me think a thousand thoughts that had never occurred to me and made me reflect on a lot of things, one of them being how I was letting this random men dismis me and my hard work. A couple of years later I'm teaching anatomy (the subject that i supposedly knew nothing about) and i'm also part of a microbiology reasearch group. Last month i wrote a paper about the differencial diagnosis of bacterian and viral meningitis. One of lead reasearchers wanted to put his name as author of the paper because "he has more experience" and "i'm to young and not respected in the field" . I insisted on putting my name and i don't regret it. One of the reasons I felt confident enough was because of Taylor.

Today I read Taylor's post and I started thinking about how much she influenced me and how much she influences young females all over the world. How she made me realice that females should receive credit for their succes. How much she has paved the way for young females to be respected.

Even after being burned before she chose to speak up. The fact that she chose to post after being ridiculed for years proves how much she cares.And my heart goes out to her because she should be the owner of her own hard work.

For me this is just proof of her bravery. Today by speaking up and shearing her experience she sheds light on a topic that is very real: men walk all over young females and they take credit for their succes. And even if she doesn't get what is rightfully hers I hope she knows that by speaking up she is encouraging young women all over the world to stand up for themselves. She is teaching them that women are smart, and capable, and should be respected. She is teaching them that they should espect to be treated as equals. She is teaching them not to allow anyone to walk over them. She is teaching them to be proud and speak up. She is teaching them to be brave in the face of adversity. And for that I say thanks. Because I once was that young girl who needed to lean that her opinion matered, and that her knowledge and her succes were her own, and that her emotions were valid. And I can't help but think that she doesn't deserves this.

At this point this is no longer about who owns what. This has become about men taking advantedge of women. The magic of Taylor Swift is that the moment she speaks up everyone stops and listens, everyone gets involved. Now, people all over the world are discusing how music labels are taking advantege of young artist. The first step to solving a problem is visivilizing it, and Taylor posting about it does exactly that. This execeds her music.

That being said Taylor Swift is the rightful owner of the profuct of her own hard work. And no matter what I stand by her.

On the Dobson Debacle:

Ok where do we start?

Well let’s try from the beginning.

An artist (darkvioletcloud) made an answer comic answering one of the most infamous comics made by Andrew Dobson, the most commonly known as the Lesbian kick, in his comic the artist made the point that with violence you will not convince anyone to stop being a boigot, and that kindness an civility can bring an actual change.

Andrew Dobson didn’t like that. This resulted is back and forth conversation of making multiple posts because Dobson blocked the artist so he didn’t have a way to actually speak to Dobson directly, in those Dobson defended his position of responding with violence against intolerance and demanded the comic to be taken down because he didn’t approve of the message it carried while having his characters in it. Furthermore Dobson also made a post in his facebook about this situation, a post that the artist cannot answer without outing themselves as transgender.

This is a very generalized summary of what happened, it doen’t contain all the details, but if tou look for the original comic, in the notes you’ll find all the information that you need (except for the facebook post, that is somewhere else, but it can be checked in Dobson’s own facebook).

Now what I will say is my opinion, and only my opinion. This is not a callout post nor a witch hunt and I will not codone nor foster any kind of harrasement to any of the parts involved.

1. Violence

Dobson mentions the Nazis, but just saying that being violence helped stop the Nazis misses the context in which this violence happened (WWII) and the reasons Nazis rose to power in the first place (the defeat at WWI, the rise of communism and the political and economical instability of the Weimar republic), the Nazis might seem like an easy target but they are actually a huge deal and shouln’t be used lightly.

That asside Dobson’s stance also has a flaw: i doen’t solve the problem. It’s true that boigotry will never go away, but if we’re kind and patient to people that hold boigoted views we can make them drop those views, instead violence just rainforces their worldview, and while the might disapear from the public eye, the boigoted people will still be boigoted.

Also the last paragraph is acan be contested with the Civil Rights Movement and the legalitzation of gay mariage, events that didn’t need of violence to obain civil rights

2. Censorship

As we can see Dobson wants the comic taken down as he didn’t grant permision to the use of his characters and he doen’t like the message the comic carries, but since the comic is a transformative work done with the intent of making a critique of the original comic it falls under fair use so no permision is needed for this comic to be made. Therefore the only thing remaning is that he doesn’t agree with the ideological stance of the comic, which menas he’s trying to remove a piece of media becuse of idelogical reasons which is cencorship.

Also worth noticing that in any moment Dobson’s character is used to spread the artists views, only the artists own OCs are used for that.

3. Hypocrisy

In here I highlighed the parts that I will adress, I the first image Dobson says that he believes he is being “dunked on” by the people who are believe in civilty, so he’s making himself the victim of an injust persecusion, essentially he’s trying to create a victim narrative. But later on in a coment he makes the accusation that the artist is using his identity as a tool to create a victim narrative as a part of a plot to make him look bad.

Also he constatly mentions that he didn’t give permision for his character to be used that way, but at any moment he mentions is he asked permision to the real woman that in his comic recieves the kick in the face to be caricaturizated.

4. Blackmail

Upon learning that Dobson had made the Facebook post, the artist asked to delete it becuse he couldn’t debat him there without outing himself to a lot of people. Dobson only had this to say:

I don’t think there is much to add here.

5. Misgendering

I’m putting a space and a content warning about misgendering to cover my bases and avoid problems, also if darkvioletcloud feels uncomfortable with the image I will be more than glad to change it for a link or remove it completely.

So in the facebook coments this comes up, one might think well this might be an accidental slip up. But then come the excuses:

There is no way Dobson could’ve missed his gender as it was stated in the Original Post of the comic, unless he didn’t read the post at all and acted purely in reaction to the ideological message of the comic. But that is not possible. Why?

This post. If you go to the facebook post and check the dates, this post is made before the one wher he misgenders the artist. So he was aware that the artist was a trans-man. I don’t know it it was a slip up or not, but his behaviour afterwards of being called out for it leaves a lot to desire.

The logical this in here would’ve been owning up to the mistake and correcting it, not trying to weasel out of the fact that you misgenderd someone. Specially if like Dobson, you pride yourself to be a LGBT+ supporter.

6. Conluding remarks

I’m summarely disapointed with Andrew Dobson, if he didn’t like the comic so much he should have ignored it, instead he acted out and caused a snowball efect to the sitation we have now.

As for Darkvioletcloud, the artist, his comic was permited within the Fair use doctrine, and at any moment slanderd or directly insulted neither Dobson nor his characters so he doesn’t deserve the stressful situation he has been put. If anything he only deserves out positvity and suport.

This one will be a long fic with a lot of chapters, I already write the concepts. Since I don’t play as Nora in Fallout 4 because Nate for me is the real protagonist the personalities and ideas are pretty fanbased from another fanfics I read

If you are very very very delighted with one fic and want a continuation I didn’t write or post you can donate me at least $5 bucks, most of this fics have next chapters I don’t finish because lack of motivation but hey a $5 is a $5, I see a few reviews and coments that fics that are abandoned months laters receive coments of wanting to know what happends next. The fan, the comics, or the pasterys…

Fixing the fan would be a nice gesture to improve her life quality inside the Prydwen but if she really goes there to chill and not stay in her quarters because is too hot inside if he solve the main problem she wouldn’t have a reason to came out and expend the time together…

There are some comics in the Prydwen scribe office…she surely read them all and besides that he cant lie that much to impress a chick, comics weren’t his thing, is not like it was going to make him look any good stalk her readings and try to talk about it, that would fail for sure.

So…about the pastery…yeah it seemed apropiate, both can eat from it…if he came with a hot box of pastery in the open sky night she wouldn’t say no.

Cool, he can manage this chance.

Chance of what? Of getting closer and that’s all? Why he wanted to be close to her? He surely feeled attracted for something more than her body…

A lot of womans with results appeared to praise him with gifts in the name of the brotherhood and this is the first time he feeled like falling for one.

They have a small turbulent pass together…about Danse…before getting too into her it was smart to make intelligence search, she had a lot of friendships in the Prydwen, that he knows about her. It was going to be easy to found information about her…personality around some other Brotherhood members, no professional.

The next day he made some…questions and followings to see what sentinel Nora was up to, althought he cant really get into her business he knew what members of the brotherhood knew better the rules and boundaries than others so he make sure to ask the ones that he knew wont protest or snicht

The sentinel took some soldiers and a paladin in a ventibird with a lot of crateboxes. They wont have news until 4 hours later a ventibird full of crateboxes returned with the paladin in. Spying wasn’t obviously a good actitude from his or any brotherhood side but the reality was that the mission that the sentinel was doing was pretty…covered…his spy will give him information of how they were carefully touching the subject of the arriving of more than 40 crate boxes full of chems, better not spread that information around all the soldiers when just the chemistry and medical team needed to be up, it was just that this info didn’t need to spread further.

Well done sentinel, Arthur was impressed.

Again, she was very smart, not expecting less from the woman that find a way to get inside the institute and destroyed it.

Three more sentinels arrived in the Boston Airport until she came down, after almost 120 boxes…she came down.

Organizing, classifying, and separating that different chems in different crates was a long task she made the effort to make with so little help to be cautious about how the data will spread…

Obviously the soldiers around the airport were curious about the parade of boxes going from the ventibird to the deposits and from the deposits empty to the ventibird but they wouldn’t mind much, weren’t their business and wasn’t an intelligent idea to sneak their noses neither.

It gives you a very interesting glimpse into how regular people perceived the events from the outside during this time.
