Rules: post a few lines from a writing WIP without sharing the context.
My prayers were answered. He took the confidence in my voice for honesty, and my case was further helped when, mere moments later, two more sets of footsteps echoed down the staircase; Aqun and Hissera both came downstairs to join us.
At once, I pulled them into the conversation, in which their role was simply to nod and agree with whatever I was saying. They quickly understood what I was doing and played along, and the tension in the common room slowly dissipated; Shokrakar stepped away, allowing the three of us to handle the conversation, and this action seemed to be a signal of dismissal to the other Valo-Kas surrounding us.

WIP Wednesday
Not tagged by anyone, just sharing another out-of-context bit from The Breach. (I'm back to writing it!!)
SEEKER: We have been investigating for days now, and found no evidence of anyone matching that description entering or exiting the city. What do you have to say about that?
CADASH: He’s a blood mage. I imagine he has ways to hide himself.
SEEKER: Or he is the product of your imagination.
CADASH, agitated: I would not lie under oath. I swore by the Prophet -
SEEKER, interrupting: Excuse me if I do not take a Carta thug’s word at face value.
CADASH is silent.
CADASH: That’s fair. But I have no way to convince you if - [She pauses.] Wait. The hideout. Have you checked the hideout?
SEEKER: We have. We found the bodies, as you described them. Five dwarves.
CADASH: What about - what about his body? A human one?
SEEKER: There was not a human body.
CADASH: Sod!
CADASH puts her head in her hands.
CADASH: I have nothing.
SEEKER is silent.
SEEKER: Your distress seems genuine. I will believe you, for now. Tell me more about your first encounter with him.
Tagging: @layalu @ndostairlyrium @curiouslavellan @solas-backpack-mug @dragonologist-phd if any of you have wips to show off!

Horrible scp idea!
It is a soup store that sales canned soup, but once you buy a can, clothes come out of the tin and they all are good quality and very durable. They are good tho but they are cover in soup.
