Your friendly neighborhood Bo Week mod here! Sorry for the delay and thank you so much for the asks and well-wishes!!

I for sure plan on continuing this event as long as there's interest in it! Sincerely, this little community means a lot to me. I really appreciate the enthusiasm for this event and I love seeing what everyone makes every year!

That said, life got a bit hectic during the time I'm normally making plans for this event. Oops! But rest assured, I'll do my best to make up for the time lost. Keep an eye on this space, because I'll be trying to get things running for 2024 ASAP! Due to the delay in getting started - unless I hear suggestions otherwise (and please do feel free to give them!) - Bo-Katan Week 2024 will run from August 19-25! This is a week later than usual, but I hope it will give everyone a little extra time to work. 💙 For now, in the next day or two expect: - A link for prompt submissions! - Updates to the schedule that reflect plans for 2024!

Also it's been about ten minutes since I shamelessly self-promo'd my MR stuff so:

My Monstrous Regiment playlist and Program Notes can be found on Spotify and Tumblr respectively; you don't HAVE to read the Program Notes, but I majored in performance for undergrad, and like a lot of people, the things I hated doing in college have become the things I love doing as a hobby now that they're not for a grade, so. I wanted to write program notes for my fandom playlist. And you're ALL VERY WELCOME.

The opus currently consuming every facet of my life is Six Months Passed., which you can find on AO3, which started as a series of short character studies set between the trial and the Zlobenian declaration of war at the end of the novel, but which has spiraled wildly out of control and completely taken over my life. I initially started the series with the intent that a reader could either read the entire thing for full context, or pick and choose the stories/characters they were interested in and follow those specifically, but the plot has developed enough that I don't really suggest doing that with any fic after You could stay the night, which is the fourth installment and which establishes major character motivations and themes that will be present for the rest of the series.

Unlike the rest of my work on AO3, I've left Six Months Passed. unlocked for readers who don't have AO3 accounts, because MR is a smaller and tighter-knit fandom, and I don't want anyone to be left out just because there's an off-chance that my work might be scraped.

Finally, my tag for MR is Monstrous Regiment if you just want to scour my blog OR if you're a follower of mine who would really love not to be seeing it all the time. I'm not great about always tagging Discworld generally, but I DO be tagging MR.

i just LOVE the art style!!!! star wars is a comfort, and something about this art style gives "fresh baked cookies out of the oven during summer break back when you were a kid" vibes. plus some of the fanart is so funny I laugh out loud not just a nose exhale.

bo-katan is one of those characters that gets misread all the time by the fandom (very crosshair of her. or maybe that's very bo-katan of crosshair since she came first) she is one of the most complicated characters out there, but unfortunately star wars canon does not want to touch that. which is why I am always thankful for the annual comics. it fleshes out bo-katan, and we get to see one iteration of her difficult history. plus I love how bo-katan's eyebags are basically a part of her AND we get more works under the bo-katan kryze x fenn rau ship

i love seeing the batch coming together as THE bad batch. i love seeing their relationship with 99. I love that we get to see echo interacting with the batch before he joins them. i love that we know that fives loves the batch, and the bittersweet knowledge that he would have fit in with them. i love how we see omega in the distance looking at them, yearning to be with her brothers. its just ASDFGHJKL; SO GOOD YA KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING????
