Day 2: High for @prowlweek 2020. Prowlestator is probably the highest Prowl ever gets, considering he’s not the tallest dude, but that sort of thing must ring pretty hollow in the face what happened to him in order to put him there.

What about your top 5 gestalts with reasons?

Ooooo, do you mean gestalts as in just Transformers combiners, or gestalts in general?

As far as Transformer combiners goes, almost all my familiarity with them comes from IDW, and honestly I can barely name more than five combiners from that, but if had to pick a top five I guess I’d go with:

1. Devastator Prowlestator - I loved the whole thing about the Constructicons having a weird combiner crush on Prowl…now that I think about it, if combining was a more entrenched part of Transformer culture, that would be an interesting kinda thing to explore; the notion of a particular kind of attraction to someone where your aim is to combine with them rather than date them. Anyway, I’m still really annoyed that we didn’t get a proper resolution to that plot line and I hope it gets picked up again somewhere down the line.

2. Bruticus - I didn’t really care about the Combaticons at all until I read Till All Are One, but the Combaticon-centric issues characterised them in really interesting and entertaining ways and the artistic representation of Bruticus’s mind was exactly the kind of thing I want out of stories about gestalts. Now that TAAO is ending I hope we don’t have to wait too long to see that story line continued. 

3. Superion - His ego and propensity for talking in third-person are fun, and I like that he still manages to come across as genuinely quite heroic despite this. Also his ability to split his body to avoid blows is cool.

4. Victorion - She has cool gravity powers and a really cool sword. 

5. Predaking - His fucking kneecaps breath fire.

Now, if we’re talking gestalts in general however, then my top five would be:

1. The Borg - I love the Borg so freaking much; one of my favourite all time movies is Star Trek: First Contact and one of my all time favourite albums is an erotic rock opera about a guy getting assimilated called Borgasm.

2. Jadzia Dax - The whole concept of Trill symbiotes is super cool and Jadzia was a wonderful embodiment of how such a joining could create a rich and fun character.

3. Garnet - She puts it better than I could.

4. Stevonnie - An embodiment of pretty much the cutest relationship ever.

5. …this is a toss up between Sardonyx and Smokey Quartz.

Prowl gingerly lifted the crude creation. The disc in his hand lit up, an ominous red light lifting the wheel made of green and purple metal and deep, deep red crystals. Crystals only found in the Kaon mines, hard to come by for any outsiders. As the light from the disc charged the crystals the whole wheel started to spin gently, as a tune rose. 

Prowl watched in silence as the crystals sung, much like the once in his garden but yet so very different. It was a lullaby he realized with great surprise. A Kaon lullaby sung by the crystals at it’s very heart and the Constructors had just given it to him. Wanting nothing but his affections.

Prowl had guarded his people for an eternity, he had defended and judged and with cruel precision made heartless choices. He was feared and respected and he had rarely been wrong in his judgements.

...and yet he found himself having misjudged his suitors completely.

So i started writing this fanfic with prowlxcontructicons the other day, after I found out they were a thing (I was so happy I can’t tell you, this is exactly what i needed in my life) and got real far and while scrolling for inspiration i came across a prompt one-shot by foxyturttle, uh this one - https://foxyturttle.tumblr.com/post/93696752599/have-you-written-any-prowl-constructicons-ever-8o and it’s gorgeous and now I’m in love with the idea of Prowl as a god falling in love with the Constuctors of Kaon
