THE BLOOD SERIES
Everyone knows that Werewolves and Vampires are blood enemies, everyone that is except Rory Dungarven, a Werewolf, and his beloved adopted daughter Angelique, a Vampire with extraordinary powers like no other Vampire before her. This series follows the rise of each character, detailing along the way the true origin of both species. It chronicles the challenges each face, both separately and together, as they become the most legendary immortals of their kind. This series also reveals the still very human desire of immortals to love and be loved by another. Moments of tenderness and desire draw you into the secret places of the heart where love burns more hotly than even the thirst for blood. Along the way, this series reveals the existence of other mythological and supernatural creatures. Some become valued allies to the Dungarvens, while still others watch and wait. Their immortality is challenged over and over by other preternatural beings that threaten their right to exist. This, even as they strive to unite the two species, and end a war that has secretly raged in the shadows of human society for longer than any can remember.

In Princess Aster's world, bunnybirds live in contented isolation, keeping themselves detached from the world in order to practice magic. Nothing is ever wrong, and no one is ever angry...even as Aster's people seem to be slowly disappearing. When her father is next to vanish, Aster resolves to find and rescue the missing bunnybirds—even if it means journeying over the rim of the world itself!
My middle grade graphic novel is officially available for preorder! Bunnybirds is a story about trauma, friendship, and my experience with autistic masking. It was drawn entirely with Prismacolor colored pencils and Pandafly markers, with Photoshop applied for color enhancement and text.
Check it out maybe! :D
That last panel with Carlin (the brown bunnybird) facing the corner was directly inspired by this wonderful TMA comic by @nubs-mbee!

WxS hosted an event at the Wonder Stage where they essentially became teachers. Kids (and parents) were invited to learn how to do what they do (but like safer), it lasted an entire weekend, though they would have liked it to have lasted longer.
Nene covered singing, Rui covered script writing, Emu covered choreography, and Tsukasa covered costume design.
Nene would have the kids pick some songs and then they'd sing together. She'd give out pointers and be kind to anyone who was shy about singing publicly.
Rui had everyone toss out ideas for a single story. Characters, settings, random bits of dialogue, etc. He jotted it all down and would give examples of things if no one could think of something.
Emu's group is pretty self explanatory. They danced. She'd call out simple moves (spin, clap, raise your arms, move left, etc.) and they tried to make a silly little dance. She even covered things such as falling safely and, for those interested, how to do a flip.
Tsukasa's group spent a lot of time drawing. Because they're kids, he's not about to let them near a sewing machine or a needle and thread, but he does go around and ask everyone about the costumes their designing. Who did they imagine wearing it? What did they like the most about it? For the kids who struggled, he sat down and helped them come up with ideas. Some kids simply thought that their idea wasn't coming through because they couldn't draw, so he helped them write out important details.
Come the end of the mini lessons and everyone who joined was gifted a "book" with the story they wrote, a small plush with the outfit they designed (extra thanks to Shizuku and Mizuki who helped Tsukasa sew the outfits, and extra thanks to Toya who took it upon himself to get the plushies), and a card that could be scanned and led to a video featuring the silly dance they made up alongside a video of everyone singing together. The link was set so only those who had it could view it.
They originally wanted to make dvds but ultimately didn't have the time to make all of them (they were barely able to have the plushies ready)
Emu would jump off the top of the wonderstage, tell the kids that was what they were doing, and immediately be stopped by both Nene and Tsukasa - 🎮

Decorative Plates
It's been awhile since we last posted something on the theme of the decorative arts, so I'm happy to have found this book—especially because it was mis-shelved in the stacks! This book is House and Garden's Book of Color Schemes, which contains "over two hundred color schemes and three hundred illustrations of halls, living rooms, dining rooms, bed chambers, sun rooms, roofs, garden rooms, kitchens and baths; the characteristic colors of each decorative period; how to select a color scheme, with unusual treatments for painted furniture and floors; a portfolio of crystal rooms and eight pages of unusual interiors in color." It was edited by long-time editor of House & Garden Richardson Wright (1887-1961) and Margaret McElroy, associate editor, and published by Condé Nast Publications, Inc. in 1929.
The book includes a large number of photographs of rooms, however, they are mostly in black and white—an unfortunate thing for a book about color! The promised eight color illustrations of rooms are not all present in our copy, but the five that are still in the book are shown here, alongside some of their black and white compatriots. I especially love the one titled "Tawny Yellow in Variety" that features a shocking amount of leopard print.
If you've read any of the posts I usually write, you know that I love a good binding—this one is a publisher's binding in a chartreuse-y yellow book cloth with art deco-style silver tooling featuring stars and leaves. Somebody took it upon themselves to write the publication date on the cover above the title—how thoughtful!

Video
I’ve been having fun turning my VR art into AR paintings lately.... really makes me feel like I’m just casually living in the future. this scene is the landscape from ‘Reality Is’, and it was brought into AR with Figmin XR!
if you want to see how this was made, I’ve got a process video here. (everything you see was hand painted and hand placed in virtual reality)

Please!
Stop✋🏽🛑⛔ referring to a black person's brown eyes as chocolate brown. There are soooooo many other adjectives besides food based. Most times it comes off lazy, boring and sometimes sounding like a fetish.
There are sooo many other things that are brown besides chocolate and other words/shades. Ex: umber, sepia, mahogany (plus like several other types of wood), copper, russet...etc.
**An occasional "chocolate" , "honey" or even "caramel" is fine (barely😬) but everytime or predominantly in all stories isn't.

Sunday Moon
Tumblr media
Hello there again dear fellows and Luna lovers. A new Sunday arrived.
Don't edit this drawing and don't post it anywhere.
As you may know by now, I really like this style of painting and when I found the artist, I wouldn't help but to ask him to draw Luna.
The artist is: @/joills_ on Instagram.
