When Andrew, Renee's right hand man, asks her to holiday with him while he visits his paramour in a neighbouring (rival) kingdom, Renee is only too happy to go along. When that holiday turns into her scheming her way into a royal competition to win the hand of Princess Allison, well, that she's less happy about, but needs must. And one of her co-competitors, a rough street fighter with a smile to die for, is interesting enough that Renee doesn't feel like losing quite so soon.

If she can balance falling in love while trying her best to arrange a Walkeran-Reynoldian marriage and end a decade old feud involving a horse and a dinner plate, well, no one said Renee couldn't multitask.

Different Sets of Stars - a Collaboration with punchsomeoneforme

This year I participated in the Mass Effect Big Bang, and collaborated with @punchsomeoneforme-willyou, who created such beautiful artwork of Lora Shepard-Vakarian and Adrien Victus.

I can't stop looking at it - especially the dress. Zoom in and look at the remarkable detail of her dress! Thank you for creating such wonderful work, and it was a pleasure to work with you, @punchsomeoneforme-willyou!

Different Sets of Stars is the story of Adrien and Lora's friendship, and features flashbacks from both of their lives to provide some context into how they became the people that they did, and why their friendship means so much to the two of them. It's a found family story, and I hope you all enjoy it.

But there she stood upon a shop of glass, gazing at a rose that would last an eternity with a brilliant glow.

No Grisha was a fool to waste their talents in a shop... But it was as if this one had entangled all of Ravka in his charm with only vines of blossoms.

1. What’s your favourite monster? 

i love leshen so much. their design is gorgeous, i love their semi-sentience, and i love the ambiance in the fights with them (though i wish i didn’t have to fight them). if only they were real so that they could stop some of the more needless urban development going on smh

2. What’s your least favourite monster?

fuck a water hag, honestly. i mean, not literally.... lmao uh, i respect their grind, but their tactics are kinda cheap. like, mud balls? really? i hate the blinding effect and i hate fighting them. honorable mention goes to rotfiends 🤢

7. What did you do “in the Heart of Woods” and “the Nithing”?

made the pact with the leshen, ofc 🥰 sven’s vibes are absolutely rancid, besides. though, in my second playthrough, i did the opposite just to see what it would be like. would still side with harald in any subsequent ones.

lothar and jonna are both shit for what they did. but, to me, the lesser evil is to turn the curse on to jonna to kill her. yes, 10 years is a long time to have spent with someone for them to leave you, but, jonna, you do not have to kill their fucking son as retribution. and for that, i do not believe that she deserves to have lothar back, loveless as it would be. nor do i think it right for the mother and son to be cast into poverty. it’s a whole mess of a situation, honestly. i always walk away from it feeling gross.

12. What is your least favourite main quest and why?

at the risk of sounding trite, this is genuinely a hard question to answer because i do love them all very much. i think that the novigrad section is the dullest because i’m not a particular fan of the characters featured in it. the quests are also too mundane in the sense that they deal with more earthy matters aka no magic. that said, i definitely don’t hate the novigrad chapter, but when you compare it to, say, the skellige one? yeah...

36. Did you take Iris’ rose?

the first time i did not, no. i really felt iris’ fear and thought it more potent than her sadness. i think i would prefer to live in sadness than oblivion (though she also could have gone off to something better--who can say) also liked the idea of sticking it to olgierd by only giving him the painting scrap :’)

😈 Is there anything you enjoy doing that you think your readers hate?

I'm not sure, tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if the excessive smut turned off some readers of No One's Gonna Love You.

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

I love dialogue! That’s usually the first thing I write, and it’s a good way for me to know if I’ve got the character’s voice.

⏰ Do you spend more time reading fic, writing fic, or do you do both equally?

Writing, for sure. I've fallen down on reading lately, and I have a huge backlog of things I want to read but haven't. That reminds me I have two chapters left to read of a fic that's complete. 😬

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

Rogue pegging Johnny. The idea came up when some asshole was leaving comments about Johnny on AO3, but I haven't gone anywhere with it yet. (Also I have two other pegging ideas with Mitch, though they're more likely to see light of day given my obsession.)
