22.10.2022 Leipzig - Conne Island

Wir erwachen in einem Hotel in Nürnberg. Viele von uns putzen sich die Zähne. Manche duschen sogar. Vereinzelt werden sich die Haare schön gemacht. Immerhin sind wir auf Tour. Da will man ja nen guten Eindruck machen.

Im Frühstücksraum suche ich zwischen all den anderen Hotelgästen meine Freunde. Das ist eigentlich immer ganz einfach: Man geht einfach an allen vorbei, die einen komisch anschauen und setzt sich an den Tisch mit den schwarzgekleideten, tätowierten Menschen, die sich grade über Fussball unterhalten. Das ist meistens unserer.

Unser Hotel befindet sich heute genau neben dem Trainingsgelände des 1. FC Nürnberg. Wir schauen während dem Frühstücken also Croissant-kauend den durchaus vielversprechenden Jugendspielern beim Training zu und merken dabei immer wieder an, dass "der mit den Haaren nen ausbaufähigenAbschluss hat" oder "ich früher ja genau so gut war, aber ich meine Fussballprofikarriere ja extra für die Band geopfert habe".

Anschließend wischen wir uns selbstgerecht und zufrieden die Brotkrümel vom Pullover, steigen in den Bus und fahren weiter richtung Leipzig.

Das Wetter ist gut. Der Himmel ist blau. Die Bäume sind bunt und unser Tourmanager Jonas ist ein bißchen grün. Letzteres aber nur, weil er derzeit etwas kränkelt. Als tourende Band hat man dann ja immer sofort Corona-Panik. Manchmal vergisst man fast, dass es ja auch noch ganz normale Erkältungen gibt. Jedenfalls sind alle Tests negativ und alle haben mega Bock auf heute Abend.

Das Conne Island in Leipzig ist einer unserer Lieblingsläden. Leute immer nett, Essen immer hervorragend und jedesmal wenn wir hier sind, hat sich das Aussehen durch neue Grafitis wieder verändert. Wir mögen es hier.

Unsere Supportband March aus den Niederlanden und Belgien ist auch wieder am Start und die sind einfach nur fantastisch: Unglaublich sympathisch, nett und höflich und dann gehen sie auf die Bühne, schreien alles zusammen und hacken den ganzen Laden zu Klump. Checkt die aus! Wir freuen uns riesig, dass sie dabei sind.

Pünktlich um 15.30Uhr setzen wir uns siegessicher vor den Laptop, weil wir ziemlich fest damit rechnen, dass der VfB Stuttgart heute Borussia Dortmund aus dem Stadion fegen wird. 60 Sekunden nach Anpfiff steht es 0:1, zur Halbzeit 0:3 und am Ende 0:5.

Fussball ist eh so ein dummer Sport: 22 Idioten rennen 90 Minuten lang nem Ball hinterher und am Ende verliert immer der Verein, den man am liebsten mag.

Zum Trost essen wir anschließend veganes Gulasch mit Kartoffelknödel und unsere Freund Christian von Greenpeace kommt uns besuchen. Nach dem Abendessen stellen wir alle drei fest, dass wir sehr müde sind. Alle liegen irgendwo auf Sofas rum und sehen eher nicht so aus, als würden sie in ein paar Minuten eine wilde Punkrockshow abliefern. Aber so sind wir: Wir sparen Kräfte. Haushalten mit unserer Energie. Lauern aufs Konzert. Wir sind Profis. Erfahrene Gladiatoren der Bühne. Unerschrockene Club-Seefahrer. Hochmotivierte Show-Astronauten. Unerschütterliche Metapher-Missbraucher.

Um 21.10Uhr erschallt unser Intro und wir rennen in leicht erhöhter Geschwindigkeit auf die Bühne. Vor uns steht ein Leipziger Publikum, dass mal so richtig Bock zu haben scheint am heutigen Abend. Wie sehr das einfach Spaß macht, wieder auf Tour zu sein! Danke an euch alle fürs Kommen, ans Conne Island für die Gastfreundschaft und an March fürs Dabei-Sein.
