I suppose this is an introduction to my silly lil au I've been cultivating in the back of my mind like a pot of stew with the most weird seasonings imaginable. Anywho, this is a swap au I've decided to call the 'curious critters' because-- you know... they're all just learning about things from one another. It's not much different from the normal Smiling critters. Just them all being different (and it being winter, as seen with Holly bein an eepy lil guy) But!! Introductions!!!

Holly Hibearnation- A sleepy bear who would rather everyone get along than fighting. She has a very specific hate towards Manny and Prissy. (looks at Star Hare. looks away) she is usually the peacemaker, coming to Goldi's rescue every other day when... when she's not napping at least.

Puppylove- A lovely, friendly little pup! Best friends with Kittenergy. They are a pup with a big heart, often writing letters to their friends to express their admiration as they don't have the courage to say it out loud. normally, they are the one who keeps Kittenergy in line or vice versa. (they have a shared braincell, it depends on who has the braincell at that moment)

Parry Party-a-too- The wildcard. Not much different from Kickin, but instead of being a 'cool-guy,' he is a little goon who loves to prank others or throw parties. he often is the start of every problem. He does not care, and will be continuing to be the issue.

Goldi Corn- The leader of the Curious Critters! she is a sweetheart but does not have the heart to tell the others off if they do something wrong. HOWEVER, she can convince Prissy to eat other foods. she is the only one to accomplish this task. other than Holly.

Prissy Piggy- She is little miss perfect. She even straightened her tail! She also refuse to eat any food she doesn't deem 'perfect'... this does not come back to bite her, I swear.

Kittenergy- The most energetic cat around! They are also friends with Puppylove. they love to run around and play with their friends. Though, sitting through long explanations makes them bored rather fast and they'll leave halfway through... it's okay, Pup explains it to them afterwards.

Star Hare- Star Hare is the second smartest of the group! she is also the closest to Holly and hangs around her quite a lot. She often explains how stars work or certain phenomenon in space to anyone who will listen(Holly). She isn't a big fan of Manny, not liking how he flaunts his knowledge as well as just... how he acts in general.

Manny Mammoth(I misspelled it shhh)- he... he is a fucking asshole. He's the smartest of the group and will let you know it. If Star doesn't know anything on a certain subject, he will be sure to push it in her face before actually explaining anything. He's also generally a bully to everyone and anyone... minus Parry on occasions.

This was inspired by @/Eggrito's au btw. Their Frowning Critters au is just so LKNKGNDL. I love it. they're so cool. support them.

Bargaining:

Naruto - He hates when his children cry, so he simply can't help but bribe them with things to stop.

"Hey. hey, hey, what if instead of the toy, tonight we can play some video games together, how does that sound, huh?"

Yamato - He basically begs them to stop crying, and when that doesn't work, he offers something that he can give them instead.

"How about I give you a piggy back ride while we shop, do you want that?"

Deferring/giving in:

Sasuke - Panic, panic, panic. If you're there, he defers to you. If you're not, he gives in immediately so that the tears stop.

Shikamaru - Crying gives him a headache, and he doesn't like having to deal with it when the reason is so bratty. Giving in is the fastest way to get it to stop.

"I will give you 500 ryo to spend on toys if you stop crying now."

Taking them aside and talking them down:

Chouji - He assumes that they're over-stimulated, so he takes them somewhere quiet and let's them cry it out in a hug. Once they're calm, he explains why they can't have the toy, before bringing the pup back into the shop.

"Shh, there's no need for this, calm down."

Gaara - He's a big 'take the pup for a walk' kind of parent. If they have a tantrum, Gaara will take his child by the hand, and walk outside with them. Once they've calmed down, he discusses why they got upset.

"You're okay, I promise."

Removing them from the situation and going home:

Shino - He doesn't not like public tantrums. At. All. If his child starts having a tantrum in public, he is picking them up and bringing them straight home. He can get a bit frustrated if they don't calm down, but once he's at home, he can deal with it better. He probably puts a TV show on for them and sits with them as they calm down.

"We are going home. Why? Because clearly you cannot control yourself today."

Itachi - He takes his pups home too. They're upset, and when pups are upset, they should go home where they feel safe. He carries them home, and puts them in his nest. Once there, he gets them a snack, and they have a cuddle. Itachi will reprimand if it was super bratty, but mainly he comforts.

"We're at home now, it's okay. I think we need a quiet day inside, yes?"

Ignoring them:

Kiba - Kids cry for many reasons, some good, some bad, and Kiba is an expert at knowing which is which. If it's a stupid tantrum, he'll literally ignore them and keep shopping. He probably has loads of other kids with him too, like he can't just leave. So he lets them wail behind him until they've calmed down.

"Wow, this is a nice shop, I'm having a nice time, everything is good."

Haku - Haku also ignores the tantrum, but he spends the whole time talking to his pup as if nothing is wrong. Once they start calming down and answering him, he offers a hug, and then pretends that nothing happened.

"It's such a lovely day today, which kind of weather is your favourite?"

Discipline:

Neji - Neji is going to put the pup on the naughty step. If there's a space to do it in public, then he will. But if not, he'll probably go home to punish them. After one minute per year of age on the naughty step, Neji asks for an apology, and then gives them a hug. He probably does something quiet and lowkey with his child for the rest of the day.

"Why did you get put on the naughty step? I want you to apologise to me."

Iruka - There is also a punishment from him if the tantrum is very bratty. He takes them for a time out/cool down period. If he's in public, he makes the pup just stand against the wall for a few minutes. If they're at home, he has them sit in a room alone until they calm down. After that, he gives them lots of cuddles and tickles until they're smiling again. He might shout if he's already stressed, but he tries not to.

"I told you no, that means no. Stand here and think about what you did."

I love that Ares and Gregor are commonly depicted with this Hiccup and Toothless relationship or Percy and Blackjack but like in all reality this sweet goofy 12 year old is being piggy backed by this hulking terrifying fully sentient adult man that has almost zero moral reservations and is feared by almost everyone and for damn good reason. Ares just carries this kid metaphorically and literally and goes along with whatever bullshit they decide on cause. Like. Whatever, sure, we're bros let's do it.

He's a trained soldier who's been to battle and has killed and will do it again. He saw an infant rat pup and was like 'Oh thank fuck it's defenseless, let's just throw it in the river and be done.' And 'Oh shit it's a baby, my dumbass 11 year old bond with a heart of gold will never allow this oh fuck oh shit please no.'

He's ALSO such an attentive, comforting dude who knows how to handle distressed kids (COUGH HENRY COUGH) and really looks out for them and their peace of mind. Bro keeps his word and bro minds his vows religiously and NOT just out of legal obligation. He is above and beyond ride or die. He shares a braincell with a 12 year old New Yorker. If someone shoved the kid Ares wouldn't give two shits about ending their life. He's a huge asshole who can say things that destroy people but never lets Gregor see that side of him because like. He's Gregor's bond now and as a team they don't do that they gotta be nice. He has very few shits to give and he gave them all exclusively to like four or five people.

Ares is a sweety the way a 200lb guard dog is a sweety.

Featherary Day 21: Chase

Cast: Hoppy Hopscotch, DogDay, CatNap, CraftyCorn

Summary: Hoppy is in a Ler mood and the unfortunate DogDay is her target… “DogDay~!”

The sing-song voice of Hoppy echoed through the hallway of the house as DogDay backed away from the young bunny who had her hands raised, fingers in a claw-like stance. The girl was in one of her Ler moods and unfortunately for the sunny leader, he was her choice of victims…

“N-now Hoppy… let’s talk about this…”

But the green rabbit didn’t listen as she suddenly pouched, however DogDay managed to step out of the way before running down the hallway and into the living room. Hoppy followed suit, giving chase as she wasn’t gonna stop until she got her hands on her.

CraftyCorn, who was coloring, looked on in confusion and worry. She’d never seen Hoppy so focused on tickling someone. CatNap, who was sitting on the couch reading a book, looked at the chase in slight amusement.

“Leheave me alone!”

Hoppy just chuckled at her friend’s nervous laughter.

“Nah! And I’m not gonna stop til I get… what l… want~!”

As soon as she said those words, she suddenly charged towards him, tackling him to the ground.

“Ha! Gotcha!”

DogDay looked up at Hoppy with a nervous expression, his smile wobbly as he chuckled nervously.

“U-uhm… truce?”

Hoppy just rolled her eyes as she began tickling his sides, chuckling evily as she watched DogDay squirm in an attempt to get away.

“Ahahahaha! H-Hoppy! Stop it!”

“Stop? I just started, why should I stop?”

She moved her hands up to his armpits, causing him to try and clamp his arms to his sides as he laughed, but it just made things worse.

“Or are you just too scared because you’re so ticklish~?”

DogDay let a yelp as he suddenly felt Hoppy fluttering her fingers underneath his foot. His face was already a bit red from the teasing as he tried to get her to stop.

“Wait waihihit- Hoppy not there-!”

She just ignored him as she placed his foot in a headlock before she began tracing the sun-shaped paw pad and she suddenly got an idea. She looked over at DogDay as she smirked mischievously.

“Hey DogDay?”

The poor pup looked at her, his face still red.

“Whahat?”

Her mischievous smirk suddenly turned to an evil grin as she began giggling. She then turned back to his foot and began playing “this little piggy” with his toes.

“This little piggy went to market… this little piggy stayed home…”

DogDay let out another mirthful yelp as Hoppy began tickling his toes, reciting the nursery rhyme and she did so. When she got to his pinky toe, she looked back at him with a chuckle.

“And do you remember where this little piggy went~?”

DogDay couldn’t even get a proper answer in as he felt her fingers flutter near his pinky toe.

“Ihihi- I don’t know!”

“Wrong! This little piggy went wee, wee, wee all the way home~!”

DogDay let out a squeal as Hoppy traced his foot, trying to pull it out of the hold as he squirmed and laughed.

“Hahahaha! W-waihihit”

He waves a defensive hand at her, the other covering his red face.

"Truce! TruhUHUHUHUce!!" Hoppy stopped tickling his foot before looking at him.

“A truce, huh? Hmmm… sure, we can do a truce…”

She suddenly placing her hands on his stomach as she smirked.

“But only after I’ve had my fill. Sooo until then...”

DogDay looked at her with panic as he sees her hands on his stomach.

”Wait-waitwaitwaitwait! H-Hoppy! No-Hahahaha!”

His protest was cut off by Hoppy’s fingers tickling his belly, ruffling the fur as he banged his fist on the floor. One thing’s for certain, she’s not gonna be stopping anytime soon…

I just realized I haven't made a Jace and Jerry one for this (sorry xD). This one will be probably shorter since I want to insert 4 characters at a time in posts (I hate text limits lol). Jerry Kwon (Kwon Ji Tae)

Unpopular opinion: He deserves more love and support from the fandom. Just look at him he's just too cute man.

Anyways, we all know that behind his tough shell Jerry is actually a fluff ball. So it's no problem socializing and befriending him out of pure kindness. He's super nice to everybody trust me (except from his enemies of course).

Like most of the boys, Jerry likes kind and humble women. He's also attracted to very short ones since he founds them really cute especially if they're the same age as him. He's the type to give you piggy backs when you're legs hurt from walking 🥺. He'll also the type to be protective and he'll always walk you to home after school too.

He would also appreciate your friendly personality especially when you don't judge him by his looks. Most people were pretty scared of him since he doesn't look like a "normal student" or the others often mistaken him as a father lol. He still can't help but to be a bit insecure sometimes but he just brushes these things off making him more a bit confident about himself. So being a warm goofball, being loyal and honest to him can really catch his attention and you can form a special bond with him.

Headcannon: Like Eli, Jerry also likes women who can be helpful in the kitchen/household chores. Because of the Workers always creating trouble, it's hard for him to relax and rest so cooking his comfort food for him makes him happy. He'll also bake with you if he has the free time!

And Jerry also likes a woman who's not only kind to others but also very gentle with animals. He'll also share you pictures of little pups and kittens he saw on the street and he'll feel a bit bad when you scold him since you're worried that the stray animal will bite him lol (but he knows that you're just worried about him so he's not really pissed off at you and he always reassure you that he's careful when approaching stray animals). "Look Y/N I saw this poor kitten on the street let's take care of it!" your bf exclaimed as he carries an orange/ginger cat wrapped on a soft towel. "Jerry, are you sure? Doesn't that bite your hand? It's probably infected." you scolded him as he has that puppy eyes again which will work on you again, bastard. "Can we keep it? Please?" he pleaded as you sighed knowing that you can't stop him from adopting the animal. Besides the it looks pretty cute too. "Okay fine, give him to me" you smiled at him as his eyes sparkled even more. "I think the kitten's a girl! Let's name her Ginger!" "Ginger? That's a really nice name."

Jerry will also pair up with you in music class if you can play a musical instrument or if you have a decent singing voice if you don't mind. He can't help but stare at you when you're focused in singing or playing your instrument of choice, he finds it really cool! (Now imagine a Lookism Musical/Band AU that would be lit).

This mochi looking guy is super gentle with you which facades his tough persona when he's out to protect Jake, Big Deal and especially his sweet, kind and polite girlfriend of course. He's also warm and cuddly like a teddy bear so there's no problem with hugging him! (He'll often ask for permission if he can hug you. Respect).

Jace Park (Park Bum Jae)

Another one who's underrated af. Like I want to give this man a hug (and also child support).

To be honest he's not the type to look out or approach women. Heck, he'll be the type to say that he would rather die than stay on the Earth with only one girl who he doesn't even know. But we all know that he's a hopeless romantic deep inside. So his chances with getting a girlfriend can be pretty low (it's just his self esteem getting in the way).

But he can't help but to stay at a woman's side when she's nice, gentle, smart and fun to hang out. He can really relate and look up to a girl who seems to be relatable. You can form a special relationship with him if you're the type to read books or if you're the type to be chatty with new interesting ideas and theories with entertaining topics. With these traits like this you can easily get Jace's attention. But after that incident when the girl he was crushing on was actually a spy, his trauma just got worse.

Headcannon: He has trust issues to almost everybody. The only ones he has faith in was no other than Vasco and Burn Knuckles since he has devoted his heart on his gang that he can consider a loving family now (also Allied but not too much he's just helping them out for business). So what's the most important fundamental on a woman for him is that having a trust-worthy girlfriend. It just warms him up more and made him willing to socialize with others. It will take a lot of times to actually approach him since he's already being cautious. But knowing that Jace is smart and it's just his feelings getting in the ways sometimes, he might start talking to you.

And we all know that he's been bullied, used and hurt a bunch of times. And not wanting to appear as vulnerable and weak, he often has to put on this tough persona. But having a girlfriend whom he can trust and who will actually listen to his problems/attentive/good listener can make his stress less worse. And of course, if he really loves and appreciates you a lot he's willing to listen to your problems too and give the best advices that he can give.

He's also insecure about his ears. So having a someone who's standards in looks are not too high can boosts his confidence. He really likes it when you play with his ears despite him denying it. He doesn't like other people touching him but if it's massages coming from his someone I'm pretty sure he can't resist it. He loves your soft hands but it just depends on his mood honestly. If he's working/studying it can be a bit annoying if you start being clingy but he can't control himself from cuddling with you either. "Wow, Jace your ears are so soft like marshmallows." you fondled with your "best friend's" ears as he is reading a book. "Y/N... I'm doing something important." he groans as you won't stop playing with his ear lobes, but it honestly feels good. There's a new SamG place on the street!" you exclaimed as you held his hand almost making him stumble. You can see the redness on his face reaching to his ears.

Breaking his trust can be a huge problem in your relationship. So please be honest with him.

Vin Jin (Vin Ho Bin)

I hate him at first for bullying Duke but I kin him so much lol.

Unpopular opinion: I think Vin would like women who are up to his standards. If you have a pretty face, cool vibes, nice ass and big tits he'll be chasing after you lol. He's also pretty toxic especially if it's the start of the Lookism series. He let his anger take over him so he really needs someone who's emotionally strong, mature and understanding.

He also really hates whiny girls (the ones who tries to act cute but ends up being cringy lol). There's times that he may get turned on by this but if a woman act like this most of the times he'll get agitated. So just be yourself.

Vin also likes women who share his humor. Like if you're the type to make sex jokes or dark humor a lot (y'know the memes that you can watch on Youtube), he'll definitely be more relaxed and composed around you.

He also likes stubborn and competitive women (especially the ones who's shorter than him who acts so tough lol). He really gets entertained if you started challenging him about stupid things. "VIN JIN! LET'S ARM WRESTLE AGAIN!" you challenged the raven-haired male who's wearing that silly dark shade googles again making him make a smug. But after getting through some character development (slowly but surely), I think Vin would realize that what he really needs is an understanding woman who's also a good listener. We all know he's insecure about having his pupil hyperplasia. He'll started softening up if he has a "girl friend" who will not make fun about his eye disease.

He also really likes women who can be easily teased. Especially when you deny that you really like him even when you act like an asshole to him lmao. "C'mon Y/N I know you find me hot. Just ask me out on a date already." he smirk as he can see the blush on your cheeks getting darker. "F-FUCK OFF WILL YOU! I DON'T HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU!" I feel like Pigsy initially was looking for a plush with one of those microwaveable heat pouches you put in the back of the toy. You know, something simple for the upcoming late fall/winter baby.

He has a lightbulb moment when he sees little Mei calm down after she hugs her fave dragon plushie. The Ao-Long parents mentioned placing a little cloth bag of their scales/dragon whiskers inside the toy to soothe their pup with their scent while they were away working.

And Pigsy has already just managed to convince "Wu" to wear a hairnet in the kitchen so...

Pigsy: "Hey, mind if I take a lock of your hairs?" Macaque, sus: "Why?" Pigsy, trying to act cool: "Got this toy for the kid. Has a pouch you can fill with your fur or whatevers so the kid always has your scent nearby. Calms them down or something." And he approached Mac first cus he thought Wukong would be the more emotional one! The ginger monkey does in fact, cry super-hard at the super-sweet gift when he comes to investigate why Mac was sniffling.

"Mr Monkie" as MK dubs the toy when he starts drawing (he could draw names before he could talk), has a little pouch inside of it with Wukong and Mac's fur woven within. It was mega useful when the baby monkey was still in his super-clingy stage and either parent needed to set him down for a moment.
