Midnight Kiss with the Monsters

content: gender neutral reader, some NSFW

Zzy isn't one to wait for such boring customs. Thus, you don't have to worry about requesting a midnight smooch. Before the clock even strikes the end of the year, his tongue is performing somersaults deep inside your mouth. You have to smack him off of you. "At least let me watch the countdown," you scold him. "Yeah? I'll be counting down how long until I'm balls deep in you," he retorts with a pout.

Puppy!Hybrid is similarly eager: somewhere along the line, your message must've been lost. He seems to be convinced it's not a midnight kiss, but a midnight copulation. You fall back, completely bewildered, after you'd leaned in for a kiss and the damn horndog tried to mount you instead. "Someone's getting neutered this year," you mumble to yourself.

Demon King is particularly romantic tonight. He compliments your outfit, serves you a glass of champagne, then easily lifts you off the ground for a kiss. Your feet dangle above the ground as he holds your ridiculously small form before him. "What's the stuff flying around with each firework," you ask, eyeing the dazzling spectacle he arranged for you. "Oh, we used some spare humans as fuel."

Asylum Spider needs a little comforting before the actual romantic exchange. You discovered too late that the loud fireworks startle him tremendously. Thankfully, your soft lips are enough to put him to rest. His slender arms clumsily wrap themselves around you, and he grins at the warm feeling enveloping him. He wishes it'd last forever.

Centaur!Manager must've gotten a little carried away. The Monster Hotel organized the event for your Earthly end of the year, so you wouldn't miss your home customs. You had turned towards him to express your gratitude, but instead he lowered himself for a quick kiss. He looks back to a mass of angry guests and staff. Perhaps smooching everyone's favorite human wasn't the smartest decision.

Delinquent!Fairy's little peck goes almost unnoticed. You do feel the faintest warmth on your lips, so you quickly look back down, as you were distracted by the fireworks. "Did you just kiss me?" The small creature huffs and turns away with a grimace. "Only thing you're going to kiss is these fists," he barks. Upon further consideration, perhaps today he can afford to give you a break. "...I can do it again if you want," he confesses with burning cheeks.

(Warning: slight Sort Of Fairy Tale fanfiction spoiler)

This drawing illustrates a scene in one of the chapters of the Laboratory I'm currently writing.

In the middle of a fight, Uzi is surprised by the sunrise and has no time to take cover (having used her powers too much).

N arrives just in time to shelter her behind the rubble of the laboratory, but burns himself badly in the process, and uses his wings to protect her from the sun's rays.

Fortunately, Uzi succeeds teleporting them to a larger patch of shadows, and N mostly recovers from his wounds.

I tried to play with colors to better illustrate the sun, and N's damaged wing melting.

heard it was friday the 13th! here’s anti-kira :) the anti fairywinkle-anti-cosma family’s head butler. the opposite of his fairy counterpart, anti-kira is quiet, obedient, and doesn’t want to question any sort of authority over him by his lord — no matter how absurd they may be (well, anti-fairy world is a lawless land, so it's not like there's anything revolutionary he needs to be fighting for...)

like kira was to peri when he was a kid, anti-kira was some sort of babysitter for irep, though he’s more like an annoying older advisor instead of a quirky mentor like kira. like peri to kira, irep doesn’t like him. the reason's the opposite of peri’s — he’s a worrywart that fusses over irep’s wellbeing and disaster scenarios to the point it gets aggravating. coupled with his obedient nature, if not standing besides anti-cosmo, anti-kira is constantly seen running around the castle doing tasks, usually for his lord's evil, world domination plans.

Allow me to introduce the rest of the system.

Iris- (She/Her)

Iris is the host of the system. She has her own blog here ( @iristhedarkwitch - 18+ only). She is the witch of our system, and also one of the co-hosts. Specializing in transformation spells fictionally, and energy manipulation in practice. One of Dusk's girlfriends as well. And Aqua's girlfriend too. And Light's.

Aqua - (She/They)

Aqua is the writer of our system. Also has a blog of their own over here ( @nuggetofthesea ). She is an elf with (currently) 3 forms. A base, a sea, and a shadow form. She is the one responsible for most of the lore in Hyper City, and is usually the calmest of us and just loves hanging out by vibing in the room. Also Dusk's girlfriend. Also dating Iris. And Light.

Chaos- (She/Her)

Chaos is a gremlin. Is always interested in things that are high-energy and fast paced. She plays games on stream on fridays at 4:00 PM Pacific. She is also the most direct of us (Though speaks a little rough) and able to put things bluntly and deal with scenarios we wouldn't be able to otherwise. She can by hyper, but cares greatly for everyone in the system. Usually spending time with Aria. Has her own blog now @nuggetsoftotalchaos

Mira - (She/They)

Mira is the organizer of the headspace. A crystal fairy who is able to duplicate herself up to up to 30 of her at once, she manages the entire headspace and the thoughts and memories of system members. Keeping the memory archive as a collective reference for us to go back to. They do tend to be able to handle multitasking better than the rest of us, but tends to stay out of the front unless she is needed (or wants to troll us, because when she enters the front we all see what she sees. All 30 of what she sees at once). She keeps everything organized.

Aria - (She/Her)

Aria is a puppy. She's just a big strong puppy. She is the sweetest person in existence. She can't really communicate well verbally or over text. But can communicate through images, emotes, barking, and through me or Chaos. Would protect anyone physically if needed, but we try to not have that be needed. She is too sweet! If she shows up, give her headpats. She absolutely loves them. ^-^

Nova - (They/It/Fae)

A trickster fae that has found its way into our system. Rarely calls Dusk by name, and speaking with a scottish Accent, they are playful and tricky. But likes to fly free. Bound to it's "Little Fox" (me) in terms of willing to listen her, but will chime in at any time it wants. So if I ever speak with a scottish accent, that's Nova.

Nero - (Any Pronouns)

Nero is a chao. He is basically a Construct made by Nova in our headspace, and exists in here basically as an emotional support pet. But he is here. Initially a chao I just kept drawing with me in drawings for years, when I drew Nova with them it liked her so much that it decided it wanted him in the headspace. They like desserts and are often seen with different animal parts.

Star - (She/They)

Star kind of just showed up in our headspace randomly one day. She is a very sweet and polite bunny cat, and new to existing. Not quite sure what she likes or doesn't yet, but is always willing to try things to figure it out.

Light - (She/They)

One of the artists of the System. Light is a very Lighthearted person as the name suggests. She is a Lesbian through and through, and just has everyone's best interest at heart. Girlfriend of Dusk, Iris, and Aqua. She doesn't like too many violent media. But isn't very afraid of much. She's a shapeshifter that usually just shapeshifts for fun rather than feeling. She has her own blog @nuggetoflight

Dark - (She/They/It)

Another of the artists of the system. Dark is calm and focused. She is usually just one to want a chill day. Just relaxing with friends. Sometimes enjoying casual cuddles with Dusk. Genderfluid Shapeshifter. She is also the newest system co-host. Has it's own blog @darknightnugget

Hello! Some dumb funny thoughts: so after ch8 Vertin had some nasty wounds on her neck, right? And maybe as they begin to heal they became itchy, and Vertin scratches them. Which isn't good. So Tooth fairy put veterinary collar on Vertin. Vertin isn't happy.

"Timekeeper, I heard you're back from Sao Paulo, did you--"

"..."

"... Timekeeper-"

"Not a word, Sonetto"

Tooth Fairy could have just used something more human for Vertin, but since Vertin was too stubborn and kept harming herself, Tooth Fairy had enough. You get the cone treatment for being too stubborn.

Vertin can't even see where she's going and she refuses to let people know about it. She's hitting walls, colliding with people and slipping on the clean floor yet she will continue walking like she doesn't have a dog's cone on her neck.

Regulus and Lilya laughed at her so hard, Lopera did try to control her laughter but oh Lord, Vertin's pitiful body language did NOT help her case.

Anjo and Sonetto were genuinely worried despite trying to not laugh. Sonetto wanted to know if it wasn't irritating (It wasn't) and Anjo wanted to make sure she could walk and see just fine (she couldn't).

Druvis and Sotheby... They tried okay? Druvis was shaking with contained laughter as she engaged in a conversation with Vertin. Sotheby was very professional, she compared Vertin to her sick little gentleman critter that had to wear that for a month and went on to describe it as pitiful and slightly funny.

Vertin is not enjoying this...

Grovyle, Celebi, and Dusknoir creating the most intricate plan regarding the most appropriate time to meet Hero and Partner again in the present while they’re next to the Passage of Time. How they’ll explore the present first as a trio for a couple more weeks/months, have Grovyle and Celebi reunite with the two whilst also giving a Big Heads Up regarding Dusknoir; where they’d then go on to see whether or not they truly want him there, and take the necessary action based on their decision. (Whether it’s a unanimous ‘fuck no we don’t want him back’, 50/50, or completely okay with starting over.) Nodding in agreement towards the plan and stepping into the portal together.

They then proceed to immediately get spotted by Hero and Partner just relaxing on the beach.
