I joined a trans support group in my city and it's been so great. To see people like you of all ages, and walks of life. All the ways you are similar and the ways you are different.

Idk I'm in such a weird place in my transition now, a bit of a limbo. I'm out to my friends and family but not at work. I still gotta pretend to be someone else there, it makes me feel a bit hollow.

But seeing people like me tethers me to a reality where we can exist. Some day I'll be me! Some day I'll be free!

Looks like a copro with OLM perhaps best known as the Pokemon studio.

At first glance I don't really find the character/art design that impressive. And the CG shown in the trailer . . . Yeah I could tell immediately this was not an Otudane job . . . Sorry

Seems like it's becoming standard practice in the Pretty Series to introduce new anime with focus on two charas in the beginning. This time the classic pink/blue duo. Interestingly there seems to be no hint at all towards the mystery girl in yellow in the initial trailer. There's always gotta be one in any given PS show.

I'm unfamiliar with the voice actresses which is good news for me. I like when the Pretty Series gets some fresh voices. Though for a second I thought the pink one (I'll learn ur names later promise) was voiced by Himitasu I swear sounded just like Laala in some parts.

The arcade game looks fun to play! (Breathes quick sigh of relief it's not a mobage . . . Yet) Moving those cards around . . . You're making them scratch resistant right? Right? *Insert Anakin/padme meme* seems like a bit of a risk arcade rhythm game wise. I'd be interested if there's any other games with a similar concept.

And it looks like MyChara creation and the friend ticket equivalent is a separate cabinet? There's a bit of gameplay involved too it looks like. I'll wait for other people with more JP knowledge than me to give the sitch on that.

In the anime my eye was immediately drawn to the bracelet. I love the design. The toys are giving me 90s magical girl toys vibes which I love. If I had the money . . . Seems they're focusing on makeup as part of the idol persona.

Well I'm gonna sleep on this now. I'll save looking up info on the VAs and production team for tomorrow.

I'll take some liberties and 4 ships:

Lawlight (my current OTP). What can I say, the enemies-to-lover and enemies-and-lovers dynamic has me captured. This ship has UST in spades. I just want them to kiss first and then go back to killing each other (literally or metaphorically, take your pick 🔥). And hey! Maybe they did kiss behind closed doors in Yotsuba arc. Their room had no cameras. Sus as hell.

NaruSaku: Naruto chases Sasuke across 50+ volumes and 500+ episodes, plus an on-screen kiss. The only people who get a genuine emotional reaction from Sasuke are his brother, the people who offer to help him take revenge on his brother, and Naruto. See the outlier here? Hint hint, nudge nudge. Yeah, they're totally gone for each other.

Bingqiu (from Scum Villain's Self Saving System, transmigrated millennial x black lotus demon lord): Shen Yuan aka Shen Qingqiu is the classic millennial (main hobby is meme, web novels, criticizing web novels, buying merch) who transmigrates into a xianxia novel's scum teacher. PS- Shen Yuan has no teaching credentials. Yeah, no way this can go wrong. Plus, oh look! There's feels too!

WangXian (from Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, aka The Untamed): Lan Wangji's stead-fastness and Wei Wuxian's sheer chaotic energy has me captivated ❤.

2. First ever ship

Naruto & Sasuke. Shipped these two before I even knew what a ship was, back during the 2000s Naruto re-runs. It's a popular ship tho, so as a bonus, my second ever ship was Sun Knight/Judgment Knight, from Yu Wo's Legend of the Sun Knight. That's how I found ao3 btw. Searching for LSK fanfics 😂.

3. Last song

Mere Dil Gaye Ja (Zooby Dooby remix). Odd, I know. Alas, spotify does what it does and this one is actually an ear worm. Last English song was, 'Ka chink' by Shania Twain. A song about paying credit card bills and debt, whats not to like?

Its been so long, actually had to look this up. Knives Out. Did a rewatch after Glass Onion came out.

Gods, what an unlikely scenario that a live action adaptation of one of the campiest, cartooniest manga turned out not only to be really good, but also touched me to my core. I was crying so much lol. This ragtag group of outcasts and orphans, going on an adventure and finding a home in each other. I'm always a sucker for found family tropes, but One Piece does it in a way that is so pure and good.

As I was watching the show after and during episodes I would pull up story/character synopsises of the original and was so surprised to see how faithful and lovingly they adapted it. From character designs to storybeats, it's all pretty much the same, but condensed and polished in the way the story flows. This is how live action remakes should be! So many live action adaptations are made with an intention of improving the source material, and take away what makes the original special. The world of one piece feels magical and weird, messenger birds wearing postalbags and hats fly around the world, snail creatures are used like telephones. A lesser live action adaptation would do away with details like that, to pursue a more grounded/realistic world. It kinda makes me sad because I think the those film makers are so scared and insecure that audiences won't be able to suspend their disbelief or take the story seriously. But world details like that are so interesting and memorable! It's such a breath of fresh air that the One Piece adaptation is unafraid of leaning into the camp and sillyness of it all, guiding the audience to but into the story by showing the humanity of the characters and world. It's something I never expected to see. (ngl it makes me lowkey wish that hollywood would take another pass at a live action dragon ball... OG dragonball! not Z!)

I always suspected that I would enjoy one piece, but the sheer volume of chapters and episodes made me overwhelmed and hesitant to start. I must admit that after watching the live action I kinda wanna get started on reading the manga, just to see more of these characters and this setting that I'm now in love with!

What a delight! Things can be good!

so i jusy had a bad summer of maintenance but as soon as school began I was doing pretty well and got to new lw FINALLY

but i almost passed out in my first blacksmithing class yesterday and was given chips n gatorade light

i went home n ate pasta bc i was still hungry after and ig i burned cals so it was fine and i made the meatballs yesterday

but THEN later i had pani puri n drinks and MORE pasta and ordered burger king i feel so guilty abt THAT like i could have just chilled tf out when i got home after the pani puri :<<

but omad late today and hopefully i can start a fast timer after that my tummy hurts i gen dont even like fast food and eating large portions anymore? i think i freaked out and binged a bit bc of the nausea and lightheadedness earlier? n drinks ofc

I'm going through a subreddit looking for general advice for my situation, and low and behold, someone asked the same question as me almost a year ago.

I click the thread and realize that this person is in the same exact pickle as I am: same problem, same situation, same question.

Isn't it interesting? How through time and space and circumstances, two completely different people could become so alike?

Seeing people talk about Twitch ads on Twitter is kind of wild... I didn't realise so many people had ads on to play regularly and... did it intentionally?

I hate ads, if I could remove them entirely I would, so I only have pre-rolls which I manage to disable for the first 10 minutes of stream by playing a single ad during my loading screen before most people arrive. The fact that people are intentionally playing 3+ minutes an hour is wild to me...
