TØP - Brooklyn - 09/18/24

A departure from my usual nature photography posts, I know, but I saw Twenty One Pilots last week and wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the concert!

I've been listening to TØP since my formative teenage years (over a decade ago, YEESH), but this was my first time seeing them live!

The concert exceeded all my expectations! The music was great, the guys had such a great stage presence and rapport with the crowd, and they had so much trust in the crowd/community ❤

Last night was a really great show!

I remember being in Oakland for the Blurryface tour singing with the crowd “we’re broken people” from “Screen” and feeling so connected with everyone in the room. Feeling so much less alone, and seeing the awe on Tyler’s face as he looked back to Josh knowing his music connected all of us.Last night felt the same as we sang “push on through” back to him during “Oldies Station.” It’s crazy how much time changes, but also doesn’t. Like those thoughts are still there but growing older I think it’s gotten a bit easier to push on through. They don’t feel as suffocating and hearing everyone echo that sentiment whether they were just singing along or not brought so much peace. I literally got chills a few times during the show and this was def one of those moments.

Thank you Josh and Tyler for continuously being part of the soundtrack of my life and providing music and a community I can connect to and gather strength from

Reflecting back on this moment also makes me think of that bit from Migraine.
