Veda.
She had promised her parents she would mind her siblings, despite Jasper being older, but she rather liked being on her own, reading.
As her mother and father prepared for a The Princess Alexandria's wedding, she thought for a moment and knocked.
She had come upon Tisha and Eddard's room and smiled up high at him. "Ser Lord Hand?"
She had debated on what to say, and with her arms behind her back, she giggled when he bowed to her, and then simply asked. "Lord Hand? Will you tell me about Puzzlewood?"
He had promised tales for later, but he did present to her a journal written by his own hand, which had been gifted to him by Queen Elinor herself.
Intrigued, she had scampered off and found herself running her fingers over the text as she read, sitting near the chicken coop, spindly legs hanging over the arms in her too light spring gown, she read, ignoring the pleas of Jasper to play, while Lucien made his little legs give chase to Jasper.
Garrick was too young and remained in the company of their grandparents.
So Veda learned of the history of Puzzlewood, a worthy present for the not-so-little birthday girl.
