Q! Bad is treating bagi like forever 2.0 ngl

There's a reason I stopped watching her POV much after she became too close with him.

With Forever it was something that gradually happened so it's not like I had a warning. But I'm not getting interested in another POV where I know she'd be friends in a relationship she gives more than is given to her and that also takes too much screen time.

I just already made my peace that I'll have to switch out of Forever's POV when he shows up because today was the nail in the coffin.

It's interesting to me how comparatively calm qPhilza's lore feels, especially in comparison to the heavy angst of qTubbo and qBad all coming to a boil last week/weekend. Like, our cubito is also experiencing personality changes, serious threats and foreshadowing that he may either die, be stolen away, or straight up possessed. The conversations with his eggs about death and what it means are happening. But the vibe is so gentle. The changes (for now) are subtle and quiet. So much happened in today's stream and some of it was deeply concerning and yet I'm despite the way he ended I came out of that feeling warm and cozy and wholesome.

The way qBad and qForever have been acting the last few weeks should have beena red flag. They were way to sweet together, they were getting way too bold with showing and excepting how much they mean to each other. How much they love each other. So it should have been obvious that that could only happen if they plan on leaving us without any hope. Because they could never be happy together, right?

pops my head through your door hey just checking to make sure you're keeping a healthy boundary between character and content creator and also your own feelings

right now, qbad is going through a character arc of feeling ignored and unappreciated and not valued and i am seeing a Lot of people worrying that this reflects ccbad's experiences and that ccbad is having an unpleasant time on the server because he hasn't had a main character moment yet. i know a lot of us have Past Server Trauma about how cubito care is handled so here are a couple points of reassurance.

the admins are so good. you guys the admins are so good. no one on this server can shut up for two seconds about how amazing the admins are and how on top of making sure everyone has something that fits their own playstyles they are. the admins have made errors here and there but they have been super on top of correcting them quickly and appropriately and they clearly care a lot about their server members

quackity was literally at the Red Banquet. quackity knows what badboyhalo can do when badboyhalo wants to do a big lore moment. that was probably a factor in bad being invited to the server in the first place

long story short, qbad is angsting and the angst is fun. absolutely hype up bad more! bad deserves so much hype! but there's not much indication yet that we need to fret about ccbad not being taken care of

I'm seeing a large amount of anxiety posting or doomposting here tonight so I'm just gonna take this opportunity to remind everyone here that it's okay to feel that way but if it ever gets too much, it's okay to just walk away.

Even just for a little bit, close the tab and go get a drink of water or just take a minute to yourself.

Don't feel obligated to interact with anything that causes you to feel stressed out.

It's okay to be optimistic about the situation in the same way that it's okay to be more critical. Unfortunately in the grand scheme of things, we don't have all the answers or the knowledge of what's going on behind the scenes, we won't know how things are happening until it's publicly announced.

The dismissal of the update account admins isn't really something that any of us wanted to hear had happened but it's at least a sign that things are actually being done behind the scenes.

Even if it may not seem like much it's at a small piece of proof that the admin funding issues are being addressed. Of course it unfortunately meant that it was revealed that they couldn't afford to keep the updates accounts admins but it's a small modicum of knowledge that they're at least looking into funding admins behind the scenes.

It's still frustrating not knowing what's going on and being left in the dark but ultimately there's nothing we can do except wait for news from an official source.

If I'm being honest stopped really watching as much Qsmp since the admin break, I've watched a couple past vods here and there and obviously I still watch Bad everyday (it's literally a part of my daily routine at this point) but I've not really been marathoning povs like I used to.

The admins were the life of the server and without them it just feels wrong, I was remaining hopeful while I watched Bad play on the server but his statement about reaching his limit today sorta hit.

Because yeah, I've reached a limit too.

I still love Bad and my other cubitos but the server right now just isn't hitting the same. So I'm gonna take my own advice and step back from the content and its fandom for a little bit.

Ultimately there's nothing I can do to help the situation at all and contributing my thoughts on something I have no real knowledge of just isn't really helping anyone.

I'm not getting overwhelmed by the doomposting or anything, I'm just choosing to distance myself for a little bit.

Although I do have qBads backstory to thank for reminding my old Ancient Mythology special interest from years ago which has overpowered my recent Qsmp fixation, so at least my brain has something to do while I take my little Qsmp break for a day or two :)

HUGE probs to cc!forever btw i thought he added the furniture thing as a joke option to like- legitimately get under q!bad's skin to give cc!bad an excuse to give his cubito more problems. but no apparently his chat were just instigators and made that suggestion to him 😭

i'm so impressed by how he got blindsided by a Full Lore Mode angry q!bad and kept his cool, and worked to communicate, and admitted when qbad had a good idea about the voting (qbad could NEVER), and went and got Cellbit when he realized the language barrier was too much. absolute king shit over there. like here he is trying to legit make the server better on a meta level and gets blindsided by q!bad's lore problems and he rolled with it so so well. he's doing legit such a good job for the server

and this is like- me being a bad fan, and i know it was an accident, but im very grateful to him for how that shook out. every time bad starts to get a little lore moment or something dramatic for his storyline, it fizzles out or gets overtaken by something else. cc!bad has been doing a great job with his storytelling/roleplaying and building up a narrative of feeling unappreciated/like a helping object instead of a person (and i could GUSH about the parallels between qbad and qforever and how they recognized those feelings in each other) but!! the point is that cc!forever did it. even accidentally. he created a catalyst event that could finally get my favourite little cubito off of his rocker (FINALLY), and bad is a good person to get off of his rocker. this is going to be a gorgeous little storyline that i am going to enjoy so so much. forever wanted to do good for the server and the story and by god he has done it

When will baghera be back man I need someone in bads corner. I’m so happy Pierre was there but like qBads not ok mentally, like already feels more like a vending machine then a person and having everyone cage him with no proof kind of solidifies that he really is just good when he gives things and that no one really has his back. How he and dapper broke all the way stones in fear when despite everything going in previously he had still kept everyone’s access before. The fact that he still invited foolish , jaiden and mouse to his house after removing the way stone… my cubito already resigning themselves to getting arrested once the law passes.

God I really hope he’s getting framed the angst potential is so good.

ohhh boy. I don't think i fully understood why everyone said they loved tragedies so much before what happened yesterday!!!!

DEAR LORD! these cubitos are all so doomed. It's so crazy watching all the different POVs and seeing the reasoning and justifications behind every decision and opinion the characters and teams have... and how other characters and teams, not having that knowledge, don't have the perspective we as viewers have. THE DRAMATIC IRONY.

Like oh my god. qPierre's decision to break the tie today makes complete sense with his character and yet it hurts so much... qTubbo's desperate attempts at peace, qBad's dilemma on his friends vs. the safety of his children.... The fact that nobody but ElQuackity knew that the tie would have spelled doom for ALL of them, and now, from everyone else's perspective, Soulfire condemned the people on GGN to death. Like the GUILT! THE CONFLICT!!!! THE DRAMATIC IRONY!!!!

also at the end of the day, ccbad is loved and appreciated and cared for even when he's playing a character who feels like he isn't. i am very excited for the spicy angst and drama about qbad feeling neglected and used and unappreciated, but please remember that ccbad is still very beloved and still able to tell the story he wants to tell at his own pace.

Okay—you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to..! But I’m actually SO curious on your essay thoughts of q!Bad in 4halo fics. Because (I think) it’s kind of rare that q!Bad is depicted accurately in.. most qsmp ship fics. And I feel like q!Bad always becomes.. obsessed with romance with q!Forever in many 4halo fics?? Or super open + emotionally stable?? I don’t know how to explain it, but that’s why I’m curious of your thoughts (because I’ve read your fics and 100% trust your characterizations, especially of BBH cubitos <3)

hihi always down to ramble. and i agree, a lot of bad's flaws are smoothed over in 4halo fics, which makes him incredibly ooc. also, i dont think that these mischaracterizations are necessarily bad, i understand that in fluff fics (or angst fics, which im guilty of) sometimes theres no room in tone to fully capture all of q!bad's complexities. but that doesn't mean i cant have some gripes!

i dont think this is exclusive to 4halo, but 4halo is also bad's current biggest ship, so a lot of it just happens to fall on it. but i really hate how fanon!bad gets stripped down to a mere love interest who is just...very perfect in how he interacts with romance. he wants to go on cute dates, he confesses in a very sweet way. he is kind and nice and a little insecure, and is just so boring. its very much reminiscent of old skephalo fics, where bad is seen as "innocent" and then any other interesting trait of his gets stripped away. i also end up feeling im reading about a highschooler, when q!bad is 11k+ and cc!bad (obviously influential of his character) is in his late 20s.

again, i understand why people write 4halo on cute dates and first kisses. thats what fanfic is for! but i cant help but see the entirety of the ao3 page full of these very...allo-typical romance plots and think "...he would not fucking say that." q!bad is messy as fuck! if you don't interpret him as arospec, then hes at the very least repressed, and not in a cute YA romance way. a 1k fic of pining that ends in a nice love confession just doesnt convince me im sorry!

and then there's the blue diamond obstacle that gets in the way of 4halo monogamy....skeppy. again, i get why most 4halo shippers arent going to mention him, cause theyre just not into anything skephalo. i cant blame them for that. but im a master nitpicker, so ill still nitpick cause this is my blog. bad brushing over skeppy is ooc. bad acting as if skeppy is in the past is ooc. bad pursuing any form of relationship without including skeppy is ooc. bad choosing any other person but skeppy to be his #1 is ooc. and yeah it sucks for shipping if you dislike q!skephalo, but thats how it is and its not changing. and also any fics that push bad to "move on" from skeppy is just ??? not only is that his soulmate across lifetimes, but skeppy isnt dead? hes just not on the island? help??? bad has two hands, but one hand will always hold skeppy's and he's made that abundantly clear many times.

anyways im also not immune to q!bad butchering in 4halo fics! ill admit that, in writing the hanahaki au, i couldn't really find time to fit a lot of q!bad's humor into it, and he ended up more openly angsty and sad and vulnerable then he really is, or would ever be. so i totally get it, and im fine if other qbad viewers despise how he's written in it. however i will stand by the fact that q4halo would never pursue a traditional relationship together, and i chose the ending to be ambiguous because thats how i believe their relationship (and feelings) are: ambiguous. that's why, to me, 4halo is so good. i don't want to read about them confessing their feelings. i want to read about how their relationship is an undefined, confusing mess that will never be defined, and im just so surprised that there aren't more fics like that out there.
