I wanted to make something a bit fun and graphic for once! I would say I had a lot of fun making this but it's only half-true because painting that many face was a bit of a pain in the ass. I'm, unfortunately, not a crowd enjoyer.
I wanted to give the vibes of a weird movie or show, something like that. Unsettling would be the keyword I was going for.
Once again, those are my Siji Manor costume designs.

Question for the WOH fandom: What roles would Qin-furen have undertaken in the Siji Manor Sect? Going forward with my theory that WKX takes over her rooms, I'm wondering whether to situate the kitchen and medicine room in her courtyard. (I'm leaning towards yes simply because I know the kitchen is outside of WKXs room in the show, and initially took his bath scene in episode 27 as his room.)
Chengling nodded, and Zhou Zishu let him go. He left his disciple behind him, crossing the endless stretch of gravel between himself and his own shifu.
When they stood face to face, Qin Huaizhang asked, “Am I really still at Siji Manor?”
“You are.” He stood, shoulders straight, as Qin Huaizhang looked him over carefully. “But not,” Zhou Zishu said, watching a spark kindle in his shifu’s eyes, “in your own lifetime.”
“Little Sage,” Qin Huaizhang said slowly.
this fic posted to participate in @immortalwanderers August event, which is all about relationships outside the main pairings! I've chosen to focus on Qin Huaizhang & the people carrying his legacy.
Forgive me if you have explained elsewhere but why do you think Ye Baiyi was willing to part with the sword his beloved made him, and give it to Zhou Zishu’s master? Maybe they explain it in canon but emotionally I can only think that was devastating for him and he had to have some profound reason for doing so
I don't know if I saw it somewhere or if I headcanoned it but I think he gave it to Qin Huaizhang (ZZS's master) as a "thanks" for keeping an eye on Rong Xuan, so he valued the sword enough to know it'll protect "his boy". Rong Changqing was still alive then when the trade happened so Ye Baiyi had the real thing right there. Some headcanoned that Longbei was actually made for Ye Baiyi and Baiyi for RCQ so they always have the other at their side but that's just a cute headcanon. Either way, the Baiyi sword also started as a "sword with no name" and it's not clear when it earned Baiyi's name, if it was gifted to him by RCQ, if Ye Baiyi claimed it or if Qin Huaizhang named the sword after Ye Baiyi who gave it to him (meaning it was Baiyi protecting Rong Xuan if it came to it).
I love Ye Baiyi's story so complex and tragic and beautiful and we have so many gaps in it despite it being the driving force behind everything that happened in Word Of Honor ; ;
shl/tyk women thought of the day: liu qianqiao teaching other people the disguise techniques she learned from qin huaizhang, and the other makeup skills she learned on her own through the rest of her life. regular makeup, makeup to hide bruises and cuts, makeup to change your face so no one can recognize you. i think it would be so fun, in a SHL au where she survives the fall of ghost valley, if she acquired a little band of other women and they were like a little traveling theater troupe (yes i’m blatantly stealing a bit from legend of fei, enough that i wonder if this is actually a wuxia trope and i’m just not familiar with the genre enouhg to know this?) as a cover but also sort of for real, but i’m also thinking about a TYK au where she lives and is just minding her own business post canon (perhaps... running an inn.....) but every once in a while someone comes through who she teaches this to.
Hello! Guys~ This is SweetOrbit🍊「SweetOrbit_soJZ99」.
历时4个月,我汉化的初心——四季山庄二期终于要正式举行揭牌仪式了~
4 months past, the original intention of my chineseization -- "Four Seasons Manor Phase II" finally finished!!!
从8月发现模组开始,到灵感迸发,构想到结合山河令四季山庄的设定来制作汉化
When I first found the mod in August, an idea popped into my head, then the follow-up is the process of turning the idea into reality. The background sets in Four Seasons Manor, which is from the Costume Wuxia Drama -- Word of Honor. Referring to the setting, I started to chinesize.
之后反复查看原著、剧本、剧集,反复抠细节、查诗词,寻找最适配的剧情和台词……
Thus, I repeatedly checked the original story, script and episodes, repeatedly keyed in the details and checked the poems to find the most suitable plot and lines.
经过3个月的反复调整测试,终于在10月份完成中文版的竣工
After 3 months of adjustments and tests again and again, the Chinese version was finally completed in October.

【Translation - Introduction to the Game Mod】
简单地说,此次发布的是我从8月就开始制作的,Simston Private School Mod的《山河令Word of Honor》主题向译制,
译制文件含中文和英文。
Simply put, this game is Word of Honor’s theme-oriented translation of Simston Private School Mod that I’ve been working on since August.
The translation file contains both Chinese and English.
原模组是 [ 国外邀请私立学校校长来家里考察家庭+就读] 的一整个流程体系
我把它译制成了贴合 中国古装新武侠题材影视剧《山河令 Word of Honor》的背景设定:
I translated it to fit the setting of the new Chinese martial arts drama -- Word of Honor.
The parents of the simulated citizens invited the Leader of Four Seasons Manor -- Qin Huaizhang to their homes to conduct a visit to the family's children (namely, the fifth generation preparatory disciple of Four Seasons Manor) in elementary and junior high school.
通过后,孩子就能拜入四季山庄门下练武学习,以及体验其中各种各样的岭之互动buffs~
After the examination, the child will be able to join the Four Seasons Manor to practice martial arts, as well as experience a variety of interactive buffs of the drama.
所以,预热投票的答案是:

[Word of Honor] EP01 | Costume Wuxia Drama | Zhang Zhehan/Gong Jun | YOUKU - YouTube
Zhou Zishu’s eyes flew open. He darted a few half-steps to the side, his hand reflexively reaching into his sleeve, murder rising in his heart as it had scarcely ever done—this was the first time an opponent had read him so thoroughly while he knew so little about them.
Seeing this, the corners of Ye Baiyi’s mouth turned upwards in a stiff yet mocking smile. He sneered, “If I wanted to do something to you, could you still stand there and speak? That bit of qinggong you showed just now couldn’t have come from any other place. It’s called ‘leave not a trace, soar without bounds’. Siji Manor’s Qin Huaizhang is your shifu, isn’t he? Hmph. Master and disciple both alike. You make a scoundrel out of everyone you meet.”
Zhou Zishu replied coldly, “Master Gu Seng is a martial legend, but my master has long departed this world. Unfilial as I may be, I will not hear him insulted like this.”
Ye Baiyi was shocked. “What,” he cried out, “Qin Huaizhang is dead?”
Zhou Zishu didn’t have a chance to speak before Ye Baiyi’s gaze dimmed and became vacant. Quietly, “Yes, it’s been who knows how many years…how dynasties come and go …seasons never touch the mountain, but a thousand years pass so quickly in the mortal world. Even Qin Huaizhang is gone.”
莫逆 is used for very close friends, it has many variation to use, 莫逆之友,莫逆之心,莫逆之間,etc. It describes deep friendship. That they don't care if their word would offend another, anyway they would say anything in their heart.
This phrase came from 莊子 內篇 第6篇, 大宗師 (Zhuangzi Inner-chapter 6, dà zōng shī; the greatest teacher). Where 孔子(Confucius)'s 4 disciples, 子祀(zǐ sì), 子輿(zǐ yú), 子犁(zǐ lí), 子來(zǐ lái), discussed about philosophical riddles.
孰能以無爲首 以生爲脊 以死爲尻
Who dare to define, naught as the head, life as the spine, death as the tail?
孰知死生存亡之一體者 吾與之友矣
Who knows the life and the death; the same, the rise and the fall; the same.
四人相視而笑 莫逆於心 遂相與爲友
Four people had lookd at each other smiling then became friends.
Here 莫逆 the literal meaning is that without clogging. It's just so difficult to explain in english as they don't use much of indeterminate forms for emphasis. It's chinese literary characteristics that there are often multiple negative praises. Sometime the meaning gets complicated that it causes many different interpretations.
Well 莊子 itself is famous being metaphorical that no one would know what it actually means and what was the intention of the author. There are many words which are still used in general life, 莫逆 is one of them. 莊子 contains legends and fairytales of the old china, the book is not that difficult to read but the meaning cab be very philosophical. Poeple say 莊子(Zhuang zi) was a disciple of 孔子(Confucius), I have my timid suspicion about that.
Anyway, 容雀(Long que) was a very close friend of 秦懷章(Qín huái zhāng). Well I wouldn't know their actual story but it seems how Long que has met his wife through Qin huaizhang. 太師父 to grand master is just so hilarious suddenly all nuance became star wars. 🥲
I'm guessing that Zhou zishu being a noble, He must had read 十三經 or at least 四書; 論語 孟子 大學 中庸. Then why is he keep quoting from other than those? Did he like to read? Or is that the influence from Qin huaizhang? ༼༎ຶ෴༎ຶ༽ Is it only me? Zhou zishu clothes look like Max Mara.
Qin Huaizhang and his pupils!
I always love thinking a lot about Siji manor and how it was, how it started, etc. I really wanted to make an illustration reflecting a nostalgia of these times.
More Siji manor rambling below >>>
I am going through a crisis regarding my headcanons about it, though. As in, I can't be satisfied by what the book gives us, and clearly I got too invested in the backstory I made up to just accept giving it up based on some random infos sprinkled here and there.
Here are the named characters that I assume are all from Siji:
(Duan Pengju isn't there because, for good balance, I thought it would be nice to have him as an agent recruited later on by ZZS.)
QHZ is obviously the founder of the manor, right? According to the book (which gives us very little), he's an oddball, and he could have gone about with only two disciples-- or very young ones... But simultaneously, we do get informations in extra 5 about Siji manor's wide reach and activities. It's hard to believe that ZZS was the oldest disciple (as it is suggested in TYK in that one line where he's said to having been a dashixiong.....); he was 15 by the time of QHZ's death, so could QHZ really have operated alone with an army of tiny kids before that?
Sorry, Priest, I will have to fight with canon lines here.
I like to imagine that QHZ had associates within Siji-- he was the main founder, but he wasn't working alone. Old Bi, who's mentioned in TYK, chapter 1, could have been one of said associates.
Lu Yu....... So Lu Yu is from Qi Ye, and up until recently he was my anchor when it came to justifying my idea that no, ZZS and LJX weren't the sole disciples in Siji Manor (since, in TYK, ZZS says it was "just the two of them"-- but it could be metaphorical!! and Lu Yu being there so early on in Qi Ye could be a proof of that!!). Turns out, the infos we get from Extra 5, once again, make me feel like it's unlikely that it was really literally only ZZS and LJX, but--
Anyway; I did picture Lu Yu as being older than ZZS, probably a shixiong, but it's also mentioned in Qi Ye that he his technique was "worthy of ZZS' teaching"...... which makes it harder to justify him being a shixiong. I mean, some mental gymnastics can probably make it work, and after all this is only a remark coming from Jing Qi's narration, BUT. Bichen suggested he could have been trained later on by ZZS as more people left Siji in disagreement with ZZS' own politics... so why not?
I like to think that ZZS was QHZ's only disciple-- the others, shixiongs and shidis, were disciples of QHZ's associates rather than his own direct disciples. Maybe he didn't want any, until he met with ZZS and figured that the kid was worthy enough of being his disciple. LJX would have been taken in by QHZ as an additional trial or training method for ZZS-- because teaching is the best way of putting your own knowledge to the test.
ALL OF THIS TO SAY, i do imagine that ZZS and LJX had a peculiar relationship with QHZ that other disciples didn't have, and that it was just the two of them from the moment ZZS was chosen by QHZ to become the next leader.
Bi-shu... could have been reluctant at first, then decided to believe in ZZS until years later when he figured he couldn't do TC anymore and it was time for him to go? Anyway--- I could go on for hours bc clearly I have nothing better to do w my life than to muse about some random background storylines LOL
Ye Baiyi knows the way Wen Kexing likes to press on bruises, relishing in the ripples discomfort creates over the veneer of a pleasant evening. He’s watched the Ghost Valley brat work a a yellowing bruise back to a deep purple on Zhou Zishu’s body often enough to know that it’s as much a literal fascination as it is figurative.
So Ye Baiyi knows not to take it personally, most of the time.
He lets the question sit in the quiet evening air, inhaling the scent of Zishu’s plum wine as he brings the cup to his lips. He, too, ruminates on the bruise.
It doesn’t hurt, not in the way Kexing perhaps intends it to - for all the ways their relationship has developed and grown, the brat still tries to find the cracks in Baiyi’s composure. (He is, the old immortal supposes, trying to gauge the depths of his tolerance - where the patience finally frays.)
Baiyi lets his gaze roam over the courtyard, where Zishu lingers over the pin he is whittling and tries not to look like he is holding his breath.
Baiyi is reminded once again just how young these men are, and how unfathomable love can seem.
“Do you?” he asks Kexing instead, pouring the er-shixiong of Siji Manor another cup.
Zhen Yan perks up. He was hiding indoors from the heat, perched on a table like a little bird, dangling a ball on a string for Yiguo. He was supposed to practise writing while a-niang was out and a-die was asleep, but he wanted to see how high Yiguo could jump.
But now! Something much better: the voice he's waited to hear forever.
Yan'er throws himself through the front door, Yiguo bouncing behind.
"Qin-bobo!"
Utterly unlike the first time they met, Yan'er adopts a collision course and, laughing, Qin Huaizhang crouches to catch him. He smells like medicine and flowers and pulls away after a second, looking at Yan'er more seriously.
"Did you forget what to call me already?" Qin-bobo asks, chiding.
Yan'er's mouth makes a perfect o. He executes his best formal bow. "Shifu!"
"Hen hao." Shifu's face is warm with approval and Yan'er beams. But--
"What about Shixiong?" he asks, peeking around as if Zhou-shixiong could be hiding. He wants to show him how big Yiguo got, and ask about the treats he promised, and play by the river.
"Zishu stayed behind this time, Yan'er, but you'll see him at Siji Shanzhuang."
Yan'er's disappointment is forgotten before the sullen pout can even form.
"But that's a journey for tomorrow. Come along; I saw your a-niang in town. Let's go in first and get the tea started."
At last! Yan'er takes the offered hand and skips along to tea. He can't wait to go home.
