Astrology observations I ☆*ೃ༄
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♅ Earth Venus’ (+ degrees) have a traditional way of viewing relationships. Unless they have aspects stating otherwise, earth Venus wont complain about falling into traditional roles
Ex: Taurus Venus female will enjoy becoming a housewife (shopping/staying home).
Capricorn Venus male wont mind being the breadwinner.
♅ Virgo Venus underrated love language is words of affirmation. As much as they love doing small acts of service for you, a little bit of recognition for their hard work won’t hurt.
♅ Has anyone noticed Libra Suns like pretending to be a dumb blonde 🤨 I have 2 libra sun friends and they LOVE pretending like they don’t know stuff. I know their asses are lying when they look around to watch people laugh. Kim K is a good example of one, she acts like she’s ditzy but that woman is always plotting something behind the scenes like a mastermind.
♅ I hate the misconception around Sag Venus . Being ruled by the planet of luck, expansion, and foreign lands is accompanied by knowledge. When a Sag Venus enters a relationship they feel serious about they are willing to compromise certain aspects of their life to accommodate their partner, it’s only when their partners doesn’t wish the change when a Sag Venus will retreat. (They know they won’t be able to grow with you as a person).
♅ Mercury/Saturn challenging aspects will usually be slow in terms of communication (not intelligence) I find this placement has manifested itself as not being able to express your thoughts properly/poor memory/bad concentration, even speech impediments.
♅ Mars opposite Jupiter can be a mean girl aspect. How mean they can be depends on the mars sign, but this is an over abundance of anger when it comes to people being in their way to the point they can say some nasty stuff.
♅ Keep Pisces Venus/Mars partners on a leash! Underdeveloped signs (ruled by Neptune) will fantasize about things they used to do with their ex/romanticize people that they find ONE good quality in. These underdeveloped ones will have their heads up in the clouds 24/7🤒
♅ Scorpio Placements will try to convince you they’re mysterious and dark with some “hurt us and you’ll see real life hell”. I have met Scorpio STELLIUMS that are very chirpy. I’ll sit down and they will start telling me what happened in the 12 hours I didn’t encounter them. You’re not mysterious you just keep to yourself until you can find someone you trust.
♅ Libra moons are SO CHILL. I have a friend with an Aries stellium but her libra moon is pulling everything together. Libra moons could be so passionate (angry or happy) with a topic and they’ll never yell or raise their voice. Not the mention the ones I’ve met are SO pretty too 😭

Bakery
Rhysand x Reader
For @officialrhysandweek
Rhysand week 2024 Masterlist
Day 7: Free Day
Summary: In an AU where Faeries and humans live together, Rhysand finds himself in a little human ran bakery he's heard so much about.
Cw: Fluff, Rhys being typical Fae
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were working at a cosy bakery in a small town of humans, packing up some cupcakes for a customer while taking another's order. As you expertly wrapped the colourful cupcakes in their paper wrappers, the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods filled your senses. The bell above the door jingled, signalling another customer entering the quaint bakery.
With his black cloak swirling around him like smoke, Rhysand strides into the bakery. His presence is as palpable as the night itself, casting a shadow over the warm atmosphere of the room. The High Lord of Night Court scans the bakery, his violet eyes landing on you, your skin glowing against the white apron you wore. He approached you slowly, each step deliberate, a predator stalking its prey.
His ethereal form seemed to absorb the warm glow emanating from the ovens, leaving only an aura of mysterious shadows in his wake. The air around him rippled as if reality itself was bending to accommodate his presence. His piercing violet gaze swept over the bustling shop, pausing briefly on each customer, who all shrieked away from him, some rushing out, not used to having a Faerie this close to them.
"Good evening," He purred, his velvety voice sending shivers down your spine. "I wish to speak with the owner."
You feel your heart flutter nervously in your chest as Rhysand's intense gaze locks onto you. His words, dripping with that unmistakable faerie allure, same as his pointed ears, send a thrill through your body despite yourself. The other customers in the bakery have grown quiet, sensing the sudden shift in energy.
"You're talking to her." You reply, trying to keep your voice steady. "How can I assist you?"
Rhysand's lips curve into a sly smile, revealing just a hint of perfect teeth. "Oh, really? You seem far too young to be running a shop like this." As he leans in closer, the scent of starlight and something darker, more primal, fills your nostrils.
You frown when his coming closer makes the customers that were in a line move away, "What do you need from me, High Lord? You are scaring my people."
He looked at the customers. They seem a little wary of him, as if a stranger has entered their home. He looked back at you, and narrowed his eyes. "I had heard whispers of a skilled baker in this little town, right around this corner. I had to see with my own eyes the quality..." He smirked. "...You must be the best. For your little human town."
The compliment, though laced with his usual arrogance, still warms your cheeks with a blush. But you quickly shake off the flattery, focusing instead on his request. "Well, I'm glad you think so highly of my work, but we don't get many visitors from the Night Court or any faeries. What brings you here?"
His eyes glint with mischief as he takes a step closer, the air between you seeming to thicken with tension. "Ah, but why should I reveal my intentions so easily? Perhaps I've come merely to sample your finest pastries." His gaze travels down to your curves, clearly appreciating the view. "I don't suppose I can get a sample?"
"Yeah sure, samples are free." You gave him a smile, despite not knowing if the fae meant a sample of you or your baked treats, you looked up at him, and he seemed to be staring right into your soul, or a sample of you. You were about to tell him to wait his turn, but as you spun to your customers, all of them had retreated in corners. "Although I should charge you since you made most of my customers go away with your giant scary Fae-ness you carry."
The corner of his mouth twitches upwards in a smirk, clearly amused by your boldness. "Ahh, so feisty," he purrs, his violet gaze flashing with intrigue. "I didn't expect such spirit from someone in a humble bakery. Thought I suppose I am a little intimidating..."
I raise my brow at him "You suppose?"
"You could say that again," Rhys said, his tone teasing yet laden with a dangerous edge. "But perhaps I should be asking myself why you're so willing to entertain a visitor from the Night Court. After all, aren't you afraid of what might happen if you let your guard down?"
"Well, you're a guest here, and I don't discriminate." You say, even if stupidly, "Now, what would you like to try?"
The smirk fades slightly from Rhysand's face as he watches you, studying your every reaction with those unnerving eyes. "A guest, huh?" he muses aloud. "Interesting choice of words. Usually people show much more caution."
Then, with a wave of his hand as if flicking away any remaining doubt or concern, he moved towards the display case filled with delectable treats, reading their names. "Let's start with something simple, perhaps one of those... Apple tarts?"
"Of course," With a nod, you pick out the little sample of the tart and offer it to him, set on a mini plate to match.
The moment your fingers brush against his, a jolt of electricity seems to shoot through both of you. It's almost as if the air itself crackles with potential energy. Rhysand doesn't miss a beat, however, he accepts the plate gracefully and brings it to his lips.
As he bites into the treat, a look of pure satisfaction crosses his face, the kind usually reserved for pleasure rather than food. "Delicious," he murmurs, wiping a crumb from the corner of his mouth with a finger. "You have quite the talent, darling." His voice was rich with pleasure. "You certainly know how to indulge in the finer things."
You snort softly, bussing yourself in cleaning the counter top, "Not words I thought a Faerie would say to a human,"
"Oh? Why not?" Rhysand asked, arching an eyebrow at you. He took another bite, smaller this time, relishing the sweet flavour and texture. There was no doubting his genuine enjoyment, which surprised you a little. But then again, the High Lord of the Night Court was known for his extravagant taste.
"Your surprise amuses me," he added, his smirk making another appearance. "Is it so unexpected for a Fae to appreciate mortal pleasures? Perhaps we are more alike than you realize."
"Oh, it is very unexpected." You smile, "But I appreciate it nonetheless. Just don't kidnap me in the middle of the night and force me to make pastries for you." You say dead serious. "I've read faelore. I would put ash and iron in your food."
The amusement never leaves Rhysand’s eyes as he listens to your conditions, and for a moment, you wonder whether he finds your fears amusing or simply entertaining. "Kidnapping you?" he repeats, his voice tinged with mock horror. "Whatever gave you that idea?"
However, he lets out a soft chuckle, shaking his head slightly. "No kidnapping, no forced baking. At least not tonight. But who knows about tomorrow?"
The High Lord takes another bite of the tart, savouring the taste while watching your reaction carefully. He knows everyone else has left by now, and he didn't even get to show them his true power, "It seems you've been well-informed about our ways," he says after swallowing. "I must admit, it's refreshing. Most humans are either too scared or too naive to bother learning anything beyond basic folklore."
He places the empty plate aside and looks directly into your eyes, his gaze piercing. "But tell me, what else did your readings reveal?"
"Never tell a faerie your real full name," I say confidently.
"Well, I have bad news for you, Ms. y/n l/n." He said your full name, eyes serious for a moment. "Your name is on the board hanging merrily outside."
Your eyes widen in shock at the revelation, "I-" you start, and the words catch in your throat. That was awfully careless of you, but then again, you didn't think a fae would show up on your shop.
Rhysand watches your reaction with a mixture of triumph and curiosity, clearly enjoying the power he holds over you now. "Don't worry," he assures you, his voice still eerily calm. "I won't use it for ill intent… Today."
His words have started to annoy you, the same teasing and taunts over and over again. You open your mouth to say something but shut it back up, glaring at him.
"Annoyance suits you," he remarks, observing your increasingly frustrated demeanour with an air of casual amusement, of course, he could read your mind, you groan to yourself. "Such passion, and it's all directed at me."
Leaning back against the counter, Rhysand crosses his arms over his chest, the picture of nonchalant superiority. "Do you often find yourself at the mercy of Faeries? Or is it just my intoxicating charm that has you flustered?"
"I am not flustered." You huff, flabbergasted.
"Oh, really?" Rhysand challenges, tilting his head slightly to the side. "Because it seems to me like you're struggling to maintain control. Is it because I'm so charming? So irresistible? Or perhaps it's because you secretly crave being ensnared by the High Lord of the Night Court?"
"Oh yeah, every human woman wants a fae male to take her away so that she loses all her freedom." You roll your eyes but before you could've said a thing more, the fae disappeared right before your eyes. Then you inhale sharply, stunned when you notice a small pouch on the counter, you open it and your eyes nearly bulge out of your skull at the gold marks that spilt out, currency that was high even for faeries.
A note accompanied it too, 'I have a particular fondness for witty girls. They tend to make the most interesting company.' easy to say, your first experience with a fae was a bizarre one. Leaving your bakery with a chill surrounding it, and only then you realised that you were alone in the place.

Leander stood at the entrance of the alley, one hand braced on his hip. Green, faintly glowing eyes surveyed the scene, taking in the knife, the merc with his hand out, and undoubtedly the ire writ large on your face. With a clap of his hands, he approached and smiled charmingly. To you, he asked, “What seems to be the problem?”
“Tomcat here can’t take a fight nor a hint, apparently.”
_____________________________________________
“There’s a pub in Lowtown - the Dregs and Pegs - stocks a perfect ale for an evening like this. Let me buy you a drink.”
You swerved through the crowd and headed toward the Wick, one hand hovering by the dagger strapped to your hip. “Not interested.”
“C’mon, I promise it’ll be worth your while! Who can turn down a free drink?”
“Me.” Especially when you’re literally heading toward one right now. Leander typically plied you with drinks every night just to keep you from retreating to your room and passing out for the night.
Stumbling along at your heels, the would-be mercenary laughed. “Playing hard to get, I like it.”
The dagger’s handle slipped into your hand without thinking, your thumb rubbing the pommel. “Not playing.”
“Hey, straight shooter, I like that too.”
Patience thinning underneath the muggy heat of the night, you spun into an alley and upped the pace of your strides, close enough to the Wick that you’d rather lose him in the pub than on the street. Though the Wick was far from choosy with its clientele, mercenaries not affiliated with the Bloodhounds tended to steer clear.
“So you’re not interested in the Dregs - you will find me more than accommodating to your tastes. Shall we head to your usual haunt?”
Fuck this. At the next corner, you turned on your heel and forced him against the wall, dagger out and pressed to his throat. His adam’s apple bobbed against the blade. “How about you be ‘more than accommodating’ to my knife and choke on it?”
The mercenary - Foland something, you couldn’t be bothered to remember - grinned winsomely, his hands raised in surrender. He wasn’t a bad-looking guy, and perhaps that was the root of the problem. Curly blond hair, brown eyes, full mouth. In decent shape with quality armor, even if that pack of wildewolves had nearly made a particularly meaty dog treat out of him in the wastes.
You’d think twice before saving a random merc’s ass in the future.
“I know I should be frightened right now, and I am, but I must admit,” the merc said under his breath, leering down at you, “but I find this very attractive. Whatever will you do with me?” His head tipped back, pushing his neck closer to the edge of the blade.
He thought this was a fucking game. You pictured it for a moment, but ultimately decided lugging his corpse out of the city would be more hassle than it was worth.
“I can cut this neck or the other one. Take your pick.”
“The other - “ He froze, his flirty smile falling. An entire conversation seemed to play out across his face, and you couldn’t imagine how he’d managed in Eridia with a face that easy to read and that irresistible to a fist. Then the smirk returned. “Oh, I see.”
“You really don’t.”
“You’re into knife play, yes?” He reached up as if to grab your arm.
“For fuck’s sake - “
“Need a hand?”
Both of you froze at the new voice, accompanied by a long shadow at the mouth of the alley. You turned to look and felt a mixture of relief and exhaustion.
“That’s - there were three of them, beautiful, I’m only one man - “
“My childhood sword cut down wildewolves.”
The merc flushed around the collar but changed tact at top speed. “You have trained since childhood? That would explain it. As I said on our way back to town, your swordsmanship is stunning - practically a work of art, when considering your attractive physique.”
You shared a weary look with Leander, shoulders sagging a little.
It’d been a long day. You’d ventured out to the wastes in the first place for a job - deliver the corpse of the yellow-crowned serpent to the apothecary. Rumors of the creature terrorizing travelers arriving in the eastern gate had enticed the apothecary enough to put out a sizable bounty.
You’d arrived, waited in the blistering sun until the serpent had left its cave, only to discover that the serpent was, in fact, a naga. It had taken you nearly an hour to finish off the ferocious creature and another hour to drag the body and your own back to the city before the mists returned.
On the way, you’d rescued this cheerful asshole from his well-deserved mauling by wolf, who had promptly followed you through the city, to the apothecary, and now to the doorstep of the Wet Wick.
Leander held your gaze for a moment, completely ignoring the idiot chattering away against your knife at his throat. A shiver slipped down your back, your stomach tightening. “Well, I can’t hold that against him,” he finally said, his eyes still lingering on your face. “You’re gorgeous in the storm of battle. Breathtaking.”
You glanced away, cheeks burning. “... enough of that.”
“Never,” he said.
A moment of silence passed, hanging strangely heavy in the air.
Then Leander stepped closer, his hand brushing against the small of your back. He leaned down to your ear and said, so close you felt his words across the rim of your ear, “I’ll take care of this. Meet me at our usual booth?”
Goosebumps spiraled down your neck. Heart thumping faster, you answered with a quick jerk of your head. Fighting to ignore the heat stirring in your blood at his proximity, you withdrew the dagger and returned it to the holster at your hip.
“Are we heading in for that drink now?” The merc asked, beaming as though he had won a prize.
“Not you.” Brushing past Leander, your stomach flipping when his hand pressed against your back until the final moment you stepped out of reach, you added, “But I’m sure Leander will be ‘more than accommodating to your tastes.””
“That’s what I’m known for!” Leander echoed cheerfully. There’s a scuffle of boots on stone and a thud. When you glanced over your shoulder, the merc was pinned to the alley wall with a companionable hand on his shoulder. “Hold on there, stranger. Let’s get acquainted, shall we?”
You met his gaze one last time before turning the corner. Dark promises echoed back to you under the sweep of lashes.
Then the Wick welcomed you in a clamor of music and laughter, a shroud of beer and bodies pressed together, and the cozy feel of firelight.
_____________________________________________
Once she had turned the corner, Leander released a long, slow breath. He dropped the man’s shoulder and stepped back, his arms crossing over his chest. Holding the smile in place, he asked, “New to Eridia?”
Now that she was out of sight (and out of reach), the other man shrugged and said, “Three days in town. Almost thought it was a wasted journey, but….” his gaze lingered on the mouth of the alley. “Perhaps I’ve just found a reason to say, give the famous city another chance, eh?”
Leander’s hands curled into fists. “Well, Eridia’s not the easiest place to live nor to travel to. Did you come by caravan, or with family?”
“Grain merchant gave me a ride for most of the trip. You wouldn’t believe the places I had to pull straw out of,” he joked, holding out his hand. “Foland, lone merc looking for work.”
Alone. Leander twisted the ring on his middle finger before shaking his hand. The metal warmed on contact. No magic to speak of, nothing latent. “Lone merc, huh? I remember those days. Not easy getting a start here in Eridia.” Thinking back to your words, he asked, “That wildewolves contract - you get that at the guild?”
“Yes. You seem well-informed,” the merc mused. “Are you a merc as well?”
Doesn’t recognize me. Fresh as a babe, then. “No,” he said, checking the position of the sun.
Night had fallen, cloaking the streets in shadow, illuminated in the pockets of light shed by windows and street lamps. Few people passed by on the street, and those who did kept their eyes focused on the road ahead, knowing better than to cast their gazes wandering.
They stood in the middle of the alley. The path to the right let out at the market if you were lucky - if not, one could spend days lost in the labyrinth of slums and abandoned houses lurking at the hill of the district. People got lost all the time.
“From the sounds of that conversation, you struggled with the wildewolves until she arrived. Did you split the profits?”
“I intend to - I’m a man of honor, after all” the merc glanced back to the street, his brow furrowing, before he suddenly beamed. “I’ll pick up the reward from the guild and then - well, that’ll give me a good reason to contact her again, for a beer or maybe even a date.”
Wildewolves extermination, small money job, hasn’t collected. Guild officer’s unlikely to remember, and easily paid off regardless.
“No. I don’t think so,” Leander replied. His hand plucked the gold brooch from his vest and raised it to his mouth. He blew into the point, eliciting a high, hollow whistle. The emerald glowed, illuminating his face.
“Hm? What did you say?” The merc turned toward him. He stiffened, frowning. “Your eyes…what’s happening?”
Leander leaned his back against the opposite wall, pinning the brooch to its proper place. “Had we met under different circumstances, there might have been a place for you in my crew, but,” he paused, his gaze sweeping over the other man, “tomcats don’t heel easily, do they. Not like my hounds. Significant effort, little reward.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Months ago, I could’ve stomached another drooling over her. I had more patience then. After all, she’s… something special. Beautiful. Deadly. Genuine. My knife in the dark.” His thumb stroked the inside of his palm, remembering her touch. Soon, he would be holding her hand in that corner booth, tucked away from the world. He’d have her all to himself, however brief.
Footsteps echoed softly through the alley, the sound reverberating up the stone walls. Shadows appeared at the north and southern exit, cutting off the light from outside.
His hounds had arrived.
“No longer,” he finished.
The merc finally seemed aware that something was not right about his situation. His face paled at the men gathering in the alley, dressed in leather vambraces, armed to the teeth. He looked around toward the opposite end and found more approaching, their shadows looming on the walls, magnified into the silhouette of a great beast.
“Hold on a minute. Just, hold on,” he was saying, sweat forming at his brow as he raised his arms, palms out.
Leander stared at the right hand. Recalled that hand hovering in the air, grasping, seeking to touch what was not his to touch. The fury building inside him from that moment crested inside his chest.
His dagger punctured the skin and cut through the palm as smooth as butter. The blade notched into the stone behind the merc, pinning him in place. Leander held him there, staring hard into his face, the glow of his own eyes painting the merc’s face a sickly green.
Then, before the man could do so much as scream, he yanked the blade out with a twist of his wrist and stepped back as blood gushed from the wound.
Now, the merc screamed. He held his hand, face purpling under the force of his scream, eyes bulging, his whole body shaking. His knees crumpled and sent him to the ground. He huddled there, curled in on himself, whimpering and gasping.
One of his hounds glanced over his shoulder to the street corner before relaxing upon spotting the thin, green veil that shimmered in the air.
“What the fuck,” the merc shrieked, scrambling to ball up a cloth from his pocket to stem the bleeding. “My hand, you son of a bitch!”
Crouching on his heels, Leander mused, “Still yours, though. Had you touched her, I would have cut it off.” He watched the man scramble back from him, writhing on the ground like a worm. “Others haven’t been so lucky.”
“You’re crazy. You’re fuckin’ crazy.” The merc crawled toward the wall and pulled himself to his feet, tears flowing down his face. Those pretty blue eyes bulged in terror, his golden curls smeared in dirt and blood. “I’ll have you in chains before dawn for this. The city guardsmen, the Senobium - they will lock you up for the next century.”
At the mention of the citadel, a rumble passed through the surrounding men.
Leander rose to his feet and returned to the wall as his men inched closer and closer, teeth bared, their eyes shedding an eerie green light.
“Even angels are barred from their lofty tower,” he said, amused at the threat,“If you’re so sure of your welcome, how about a wager? If you can make it to the Senobium’s gates and convince them to let you inside before dawn, you live another day.”
The merc swallowed, his lips pinched together.
“We’ll even give you a head start. Aren’t I generous,” Leander said, his voice low, “tomcat?”
He watched, silent, as the merc shuffled toward the back of the alley where the cluster of men was thinnest, his gaze darting around fearfully. After a moment’s indecision, he shoved the closest man out of his way and sprinted down the alley, footsteps pounding the stone, panting.
A dozen eyes turned on him. Bodies tensed, knees bending, bracing.
Leander smirked.
“Hounds. Hunt.”
That night, as she dozed against his shoulder after three pints of beer, his thumb stroking the back of her hand, Leander closed his eyes and let his magic surge through the hounds, singing in their blood. He grinned under the weight of their euphoria - hearts pounding as they chased the cat through the city, their bloodlust pulsing, teeth sharpening with every nip at his heels.
Through the eyes of his hound, he watched as the merc stumbled and bled through the city, increasingly desperate, bleeding through a thousand wounds with every brush of tooth and claw. He watched as the man shook the gates of the Senobium, begging, pleading to be let in.
He watched as the guards ignored him. He watched as the man grew manic in his fear and despair, wailing and beating the iron bars, until an arrow pierced his shoulder.
He watched as the merc gave up and sprinted back toward the city walls, seeking the watchmen and finding his hounds at every corner, lurking in every shadow.
By the time he lifted her into his arms and carried her toward her room at the back of the Wick, another unfortunate soul was lost to the perils of the city.
Leander returned to the bar after resting her head on the pillow and bribed the bartender into opening up the kitchens and rousing the cooks in spite of the late hour.
His hounds had worked up an appetite.

Ahh make me write!!! I know the following is a lot so if you can’t do them all it’s fine. I know I normally don’t put this many but I have had a tough week and figured why not. However just one line from any fic will make me happy and seriously don’t feel pressured or anything to write them all (or any at all). I appreciate all you do write.

Oh no! I hope your weekend has improved things. Sending love.
I can absolutely do all of this. In fact, it's my pleasure.
39 for 🦮:

“It’s fine. I can do it.”
He rises out of his chair stiffly, leg still aching, and pushes his chair back. His stomach twists with apprehension as he looks at how far his phone has slid under the table.
“Buck, really,” Maddie says. “I don’t mind.”
“Just let me!” Buck insists, tone a bit short.
Everyone at the table is watching them, he realizes. Buck’s cheeks burn.
“Fuck,” he grumbles under his breath.
Buck lowers his sore body onto the hard tile floor, carefully, putting pressure on his knees. His left thigh trembles a little. He crawls forward a foot or two, head under the table, and slowly reaches his arm forward until he can grab the awkwardly located phone, wedged between two legs of tables the restaurant pushed together to accommodate their party size. Stuck in such a way no one could use their foot to kick it to him.
Phone secured, Buck reaches back, pockets it, and retreats out from under the table. He moves a little too quickly, desperate for this to be over, and his prosthetic obviously doesn’t react with him. It’s awkward and clunky and he stumbles a little as he climbs to his feet. His head hits off the underside of the table, sending more pain shooting across the backside of his skull.
In the back of his mind, Buck can see Cranberry’s face, phone resting gently in her mouth, tail wagging. Like, look how easy this could have been.
Maddie reaches to help him and he shirks away from her. He straightens up, brushes the grime from the floor off his pant legs, and then plunks heavily back into his chair. All the while, the table watches with quiet discomfort. Pity, probably. They probably fucking pity him. Buck wants to disappear.
“I’m fine,” Buck insists. “Keep eating, guys.”
Another beat of silence.
Bobby, who seems to be reading Buck’s brain and needs, turns to Hen and Karen.
“So, tell me about IVF. How’s that going?”
Conversation resumes.
Buck tries to release some of the tension he’s holding in his jaw, but he just can’t shake it. He tries to take another bite of seabass, but finds his tongue unreceptive to taste. Which is a real shame, given the quality of the food here. His fork is shaking a little in his hand.
Fuck.

“The bar?” Maddie scoffs. “Evan, it’s a building. I want you to be safe!”
Buck doesn’t answer. He looks wild with indecision and hurt. There are just as volatile storms swirling behind his eyes as the one outside the door.
My brother… He’s had a lonelier life than is fair for someone as loving as he is. He deserves someone who chooses him.
Eddie hurt him badly. And entirely by accident. This is on Eddie to fix.
“Maddie, can B- can Evan and I talk for a minute?” He asks. “I’ll drive you and Genevieve to the station right after.”
Maddie looks between Buck and Eddie.
“Evan?” She asks.
“Yeah. Fine.” Buck grumbles. “Whatever.”
“Okay,” Maddie sighs. She walks off towards the back office and calls out for her daughter. “Genni? Change of plans, baby.”
The moment she’s gone, Eddie launches into another attempt.
“Please, just choose safety, okay?” Eddie asks. “You can hate me there if you want to.”

The kid thing is more complicated. Or, less? Eddie doesn’t know. To be honest, he’s confused.
See, he thinks he wants one after all. One. Not like an armada of them. Buck seemed comfortable with any number, zero or upwards, so he thinks this boundary will be fine. He also thinks that before he asks Buck to marry him, he should probably tell him this tiny detail. It’s sort of relevant. However, he also doesn’t want it to seem like marrying Buck is contingent on his reaction to this. Or that he only wants the kid to marry Buck. So he has to plan both individual conversations in a way that conveys this.
Conversation. Is that the wrong way to think of it? Probably, right? His proposal to Shannon had been more or less of a steam roll. Telling her how they would navigate the future.
---
18 for 🚨:
THE FOLLOWING IS NSFW AND SPOILERY
---
He’s in a vacuum of pure, unblemished bliss. Naked, wrapped in Eddie and duvet, and still feeling light and fuzzy from multiple orgasms the night before. What a world.
The best part is, Buck is fairly certain this was not intended to be a one time affair. He’s fairly certain he’s been given something good - something great - that he gets to keep. At least, for as long as Eddie will allow him. And Eddie doesn’t seem like he’s in a rush to let go.
In fact, he’s tucked into Buck, pressing slow, soft kisses to Buck’s chest. His hand is sliding lower down Buck’s body, rousing him in more ways than one. Eddie is very handsy, it turns out. No slouch with his mouth, either.
Again, what a world.
“Goodmorning,” Buck mumbles, as Eddie’s hand finds exactly where Buck’s body would most like it to be.
“Goodmorning,” Eddie whispers into Buck’s collarbone. His grip tightens, and Buck’s hips jut a little.
“You’re really something,” Buck rasps.
“Should I stop?”
“God no.”
---
18 for 🩸:
---
“You lied to the police,” Eddie echoes.
Buck nods. “Gave them an account of things that threw them off the trail of what really happened. Made it seem like they were looking for your body, not…”
“Not a killer,” Eddie whispers.
“You didn’t kill me.” Buck reminds him.
“I killed Captain Gerrard,” Eddie admits.
Sophia inhales sharply through her teeth.
Buck doesn’t twitch.
“Well, that doesn’t need to leave this kitchen table, right?”
“Right,” Sophia agrees. “In fact, I hear he was more or less a total cunt.”
Eddie’s eyes widen. “You say Hail Marys with that mouth?”
“Been a long time since I went to mass, Eddie.”
“Point is, you’re a mystery,” Buck says. “People all have their theories."
---
6 for 🔮:
---
Bobby’s head starts to rush. It sort of comes out of nowhere. At first, he thinks it’s some sort of panic attack. Wouldn’t be surprising, given what’s happened.
He drops his elbows onto the table and rests his head in his hands. He thinks he can just ride it out, focus on his breathing.
---
3 for 📚:
---
Ravi thinks of the sheer ferocity with which Eddie loves his son. Never allows anyone to doubt him or think less of him. Of course Anil trying to weaponize a disorder against Ravi would piss him off.

A Tight Fit (Butt expansion)
Mia had finally sorted through her Christmas presents when she found a strange box she didn’t remember opening on Christmas morning. As she lifted the lid off, she found a pair of jeans that looked to be in her size.
Mia shrugged as she retreated to the bathroom to try them on. She slipped her bare feet into the leg holes and hiked the stretchy jean material up before buttoning it to complete the fit.
“Ooh it’s a tight fit!” Mia exclaimed before she felt a warm spread through her lower half and spread to her womanhood.
That’s when things began to change for Mia. Her butt began to stretch and balloon outward, growing bigger as the jeans stretched to accommodate. As her ass grew, so did her level of arousal as she tried to unbutton the jeans with increasing desperation to take them off and masturbate but to no avail.
As her trembling hands grabbed the sides of her jeans, her crotch wet with her own lusty lubrication, Mia wondered what would finish first, her or her ass’ growth spurt.

Co-written with @hackles-up. Part of the Ridley-Dies-Arc, can be read on it's own. B and Tom (aka second bad guy) are her characters.
Dany and B's escape takes a bad turn.
[Masterlist]
Content / Warnings: BBU elements, recapture, feverish whumpee, restraints, multiple whumpees, multiple whumpers, abduction, threats of noncon.
Being the daughter of a man like my father, I've been taught quite a lot about being on the run, even though I've rarely been myself. The importance of high quality fake papers, for example, and how much further you can get if you just behave like a rich person; how with the right tip a concierge at the Ritz will surely keep you out of the books, while a dingy motel owner might sell you out for the price of a Big Mac.
It's ironic, that we have both of that - good documents and good money -, and still need to rely on the very dingy sort of accommodations. Because all I learned didn't take into account being the subjects of a nationwide manhunt for the murder of a mafia-affiliated just-not-billionaire. Or hiding a huge, broad-shouldered traumatized man with sharp titanium teeth who refuses to take off his collar.
We've slept in the car, twice, but B's fever had only become worse, and none of us had been able to close an eye.
We're at a rest stop on a highway, a small shady restaurant with a bunch of guest rooms above it. A significant share of these is most likely occupied by the prostitutes sitting at the bar right now, slightly bored because it's not yet their time of the night. It makes me feel better, in a way. Means the police aren't quite welcome here. That can only be good for us.
B has stepped away for the washroom, and I'm just studying the road map once more, when a thin man in a leather jacket slips into my booth and sits down in B's spot.
Under the table, my hand wraps around my gun. I can help myself, but it would create attention, and attention is the very last thing we need.
"Hey, sweetheart," he says, while he looks me down. Black jeans, oversized black Tee, short gloves, dark baseball cap over a short bob. I look nothing like the pictures from the wanted posters. I also look nothing like a sweetheart.
"Fuck off," I tell him. "That seat is taken."
He chuckles. "You don't even want to hear my offer?"
"Pretty sure I do not, no."
"I can get you out." He gestures roughly towards the border. "Out of the country. Friend's got an airplane, used to... unregistered cargo."
"What makes you think I want to leave?"
He laughs, points at my cap, my baggy clothes, the duffle bag between my feet. "I know the looks of people like you. And I know this place isn't exactly a spa retreat. People come here for reasons."
"Oh yeah?" With the hand above the table, I take a sip of my coke. "And say I were interested. How much would that flight be?"
The stranger tilts his head towards the restrooms. "Your... buddy back there. Built like a brick, isn't he? Seems like he can handle himself quite well."
I lift my chin in alarm, while he just leans in conspiratorially, and asks, "WRU material?"
I clench my jaw and shake my head.
"If he came back, and I said the magic word, what would he do, huh, princess?"
I can't help but tense at the pet name. At the implication.
"What would you do, huh?" He gives me a slow smile. "Wanna give it a try? Respect!"
"Fuck off." I slam my gun onto the table, trained at him, keeping my voice low. "I'm not a runaway pet, nor is my friend. I've just had some trouble with some assholes, and it didn't end well for them. If you don't want to test your luck, I think you should just walk away and forget we've ever met."
He stares at the gun and lifts his hand in a mock gesture of defeat. "Gosh, you're a flimsy one, aren't you? Alright, I'm leavin', I'm leavin'."
My heart is racing, as I watch him retreat through the front doors, looking back to me with a final mock salute.
It still does, when B returns to the table. He still looks exhausted, his eyes dull, with deep rings underneath, feverish sweat glinting on his forehead. 'Seems like he can handle himself well', the man has said. Fucking ironic, a threat within a threat.
B needs a break. And I’m not giving him one. I toss two bills onto the counter and grab the uneaten burger from the plate, before I nod at him. "We gotta go."
“Trouble?” He asks, moving in step with me as I move. All professional, all alert Guard Dog. Both of us know how much it costs him to keep it up.
"Yeah." I cast a glance around. Nobody seems to spare us any attention, but I've been fooled before. I hadn't seen the guy coming. And he must've been watching us for a while. Fuck. I'm pretty sure that I haven't convinced him. Just need to hope that he'll find easier prey. Or that we'll be gone before he returns. "Some gangster spotted us. Can't tell you what he wants exactly, he doesn't know about the bounty, but way too interested in you to be safe."
I lift the heavy bag and throw it over my shoulder. It's better if I carry it than him. He's sick; and he needs his hands free. "He left through the front door. Don't think we've seen the last of him though." I bite my lip. "Any other way out?"
B nods, indicating to his right hand side. "This way."
He makes steady determined steps past the bathrooms and towards the back entrance, almost betraying the exhaustion he must be feeling. Just as I try to let myself be fooled, too, though, he wavers for a moment, stumbling and reaching to hold himself on the wall.
I'm by his side right away, holding out my arm to steady him from the other side. He's burning, even through his clothes. His fever has become worse. A plane ride would've been just what we needed. Fucking asshole.
I rest a hand on B's hot cheek. "It's not far," I promise. "Two more days, and we can find Frankie's friends, and rest there."
I had thought about just leaving our car behind, making a run through the fields behind the rest stop, and just find someone who sells us their car for enough cash.
But B isn't even well enough to make it to the parking lot in one run. I grimace, making sure the gun is where I can reach it. I can't use any police attention. But if that's the price to pay to get B out of here safely, so be it.
Whatever that guy is up to, he's bad news; he's a threat, and he won't be any more with a bullet in his chest. I wonder for a second, if Dad would like that reasoning. He never wanted me to think that way. But there's many things about my life that he's never wanted.
"Come on, Ben," I say quietly. "We need to keep moving. You can hold on to me, alright? You can sleep in the car."
B bunches his hand into a fist against the wall, exhaling with a groan.
"Nh... No... 'M fine, Dany... I can do this." He mutters, and pushes himself off of the wall and stumbles forward, shrugging off my hand. "We can't stay here."
He pushes himself against the back door, holding it open with his body so I may slip out.
Something moves behind me. There’s a hand on my side, and cold metal pressed to the back of my head. They came from behind. Of course they did. Fuck. Fuck.
"Stay nice and still, pretty thing." someone murmurs.
I will not.
"B!" I shout, when I feel the barrel shift as he reaches around me, fumbling for my gun. I spin the other way, let the heavy duffel bag slam into his side and shoulder, while I grab my gun myself. The attacker stumbles, but catches himself too quickly, his gun in front of my face just as I bring my own up.
Fury is burning in his eyes. "You fucking... Don't fucking move or I'll put one in your knee. Sluts don't need to walk."
In front of us, B lets out a low growl. He bares his titanium teeth, taking a shaky step forward. The backdoor is still open, the night air wafting in.
"Oh no you don’t," the stranger hisses, pulling back the safety on his gun and pointing it at my leg. "I saw his collar. Tell your pet to back down or I'll shoot."
My mind is racing.
My gun is still in my hands, half way up. I could get a bullet in his chest, but he'll be faster, shooting my leg. I could kill him, but we'd never get away.
They want us alive. They want us alive, and they don't know who we are, so chances are they want us alive and not torture us to death.
Sickening as it is to admit, we'll stand better chances later. It feels like a betrayal, when I say, "Stand down, B."
B’s glare stays on the man, burning and deadly. He dropped his defensive stance immediately, though.
I don't lower my own gun.
"What do you want?"
He doesn’t reply, keeps his own gun level, while he remarks, “Impressive. It’s very responsive to you. How did you get your hands on a Guard Dog, huh? Must’ve cost a fortune. Daddy bought him for you?” He sneers.
Daddy. My hand trembles and I need my other hand to steady it and the gun. "Daddy is not in the picture any longer. And he answers to me," I reply. "What do you want? There isn't a lot to get out of us. The Guard Dog is old and sick, he isn't worth much any longer, but we can talk money." Ridley's words taste sour in my mouth. I hope B gets why I have to talk like this. They need to let us go.
The man just laughs. “Oh I wouldn’t discount you two so quickly.” He takes a step forward. “Now I need you to lower that gun and come with me. I’ll tell you all you wanna know then.”
“Don’t move…” B grits out. “We won’t go… anywhere with you.”
“Oh it talks too. Clever doggy.”
"Don't come closer," I hiss. "And don't talk to him like that. Or I'll shoot, and I won't bother aiming for the leg."
When I notice the shadowy movements behind B, it's too late. Something lowers around his neck and yanks him back.
I lose all control.
"No," I yell and stumble over towards him. "No! B!"
He’s falling, catching himself just before he hits the ground and lunges with teeth bared at his assailants, fighting the noose around his throat.
“Oh no you fucking don’t.” The man behind me is on me, grabs me in a vicious choke hold, arm pressing into my throat and kicking my legs out from underneath me to send me crashing to the ground. The gun falls from my hand, clattering across the floor behind me.
I have eyes only for the scene in front of me, the long catch pole, the noose lanyard choking B’s neck, his desperate, feverish thrashes. He’s panting for breath already.
"Stop," I shout, half sobbing. "B. Don't. Don't."
At the sound of my voice, B freezes in place.
It’s enough. The men yank back on the pole, sending him crashing into the ground.
The man behind me presses me down, pinned under his weight.
“Shhh, there’s a good girl", the stranger breathes in my ear, wrenching my arms back and fixating them with zip ties, while hissing obscenities into my hair.
Good girl.
I have betrayed B. I have betrayed myself, giving up this fight.
The man's hands are wandering over my ass. I don't care. All I care about is the man folded over on the other side of the back door, the man whom I promised to get him to safety.
My eyes are burning with tears.
I swallow back a sob.
"Don't hurt him," I whisper. "Please. Fuck me however you want to, I'll let you, but please, don't hurt him."
“Oh I think we’ll do whatever we please, sweetheart.” He murmurs, hand still firm on my ass. “We’ll take good care of your dog. Better than you have. Get it back on its feet and it’s gonna earn us a fortune in the dog fights.”
Better than you have. I can't breathe. He's right. I've almost let him die of this fever, keeping him on the run, always on his ties, never allowing us to rest.
The man who’s sat in the booth with me has stepped in outside, kneeling on B’s back.
I watch with tears in my eyes, as he pulls out a collar.
I didn't have a choice, I tell myself. I had to.
I’ve failed him, nonetheless.
I’ve failed us both.

During the war, the Capitol had assigned every citizen a shelter near their residence. The Snows’ magnificent building had a basement level so sturdy and spacious it accommodated not only its residents but half the block. Unfortunately, the Capitol’s surveillance system depended heavily on electricity. With the power sketchy and the grid flickering on and off like a firefly due to rebel interference in District 5, the sirens were unreliable, and they were often caught unawares with no time to retreat to the basement. At these times, he, Tigris, and the Grandma’am — unless she was singing the anthem — would hide under the dining table, an impressive thing carved from a single block of marble, which sat in an interior room. Even with the absence of windows and the solid rock over his head, Coriolanus’s muscles always went rigid with terror when he heard the whistling of the bombs, and it would be hours before he felt he could walk right.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Suzanne Collins)
The contrast of war with all its horrors- no electricity, bombing, starvation- and Capitol luxury that doesn't just disappear- high quality achitecture, unnecessary rooms, massive use of marble...
