Quackity: I want to talk about that round with you. Mike, Badboyhalo was about to make it to the very end of the Parkour, and you shot him with an arrow, not allowing him to get to the end. Would you like to talk about that?
Mike: Only a Crow will win, so that's why I had to make this harsh decision to help my–

Team Crow: Yeah! Hell yeah! Ca -CAW! Yessir! CA-CAW!

I am atomic, thermonuclear quant
Tumblr media
I am atomic, thermonuclear quant mega kvark man 8 bit. I enter the room. And, before my, everything was not in clear colors. And, it was, like I watch the world with eyes of VHS cassette. And, everything is moving like waves. Just like waves goes by the screen. It is a little hard for me to make a navigation in space.
I turn on my cassette player. It is portable. And it plays retro wave. Miami Nights 1984. I think, I am better now.  It helps me to have a synchronicity with visual sequence. I am better. Coordination is better. It is sentimental. And music album has a same name – Sentiments. It is random coincidence.
I understand, that sub atomic particles are runs in different side with huge speed. It is a hug power. Like a compressed mainspring. Which is has returned to uncompressed state. And it starts a full VHS.
It is good to go back to reality. It is a time for me to go! I say everyone goodbye! We, well, see you all later! I was at the hotline Miami. I think so. This place has this name. I do not know, why it has such a name. I am, should to be, some funny little animal. At least, I have seen such kind. I see with own eyes, that owl said to me hello! But, I left the place. It was happened a thermo nuclear synthesis. VHS tape goes to its end. It was hot. Number of tape 1984. Label - Miami.

yesssss lero quantz going in a haubted house, lero really tries tocavoid the spooky stuff abd tries notcto show weakness cuz he wouldnt hear the end of it feom either quant or hansung xD
Yeah, Quant's just clinging to him the entire time while Hansung is snickering about it in the background. Lero ro might even, subconsciously, be clutching onto Hansung's kimono, which Hansung notices, of course. The only thing that will give it away to anyone, besides Hansung, would be how pale he is.

I personally mostly use searx. I checked 4get.ca, which I didn't know about upon reading this message; it seems good indeed. Tho it did make me pass an "IQ test" (more of a capcha) as it's apparently been target of bot abuse (something searx avoids by being decentralized).
Other engines I like to comment on : wiby is really fun to explore the web without any expectations, trying to discover small websites (they even have a randomizer link to help with that). Not for general use tho.
[mojeek(mojeek.com) I've so far found less efficiemt than google for finding specific things. I guess crawling the web isn't done in a day, gotta give them more time, tho i've added them to the list of source for searx.
Qwant, i've heard a lot about, and not just in good, it was fairly controversial in the 2010s:
In Europe, and particularly in France where it was made, it largely marketed itself as a fully European search engine, to break free from the monopoly of American tech giants.
However, people soon realized the results were exactly the same as those of Bing. Called out on it, the company admitted that it had struck a deal with Microsoft to use Bing's results as a basis until their crawlers had enough... Which is also what duckduckgo does, but the fact that they had hid it and the way in contradicted their advertised image meant they were soon seen as untrustworthy liars... Which is the last thing you want from an engine of which the other main selling point is privacy. This is why Qwant never really took off even in its domestic market, make of that what you will.
Before I finish, I'll elaborate a bit on searx, which Prev glossed over a bit quickly :
It is a meta search engine, for which there are many instances you can pick here and if there's a problem with the one you're using, you can go back and pick another. You can also create one, tho it's not something I've tried myself yet using someone else's instance also lets you edit the sources you take results from for each category.

Why Polkadot, Uniswap, Pi, and Quant Attracted Investor Attention on Wednesday
Tumblr media
Exploring the surge of Polkadot, Uniswap, Pi, and Quant as they gain significant investor attention this week. Cryptocurrency markets have been dynamic this week, with notable attention directed towards certain altcoins like Polkadot, Uniswap, Pi Network, and Quant. These cryptocurrencies have seen considerable price fluctuations, attracting investors and traders alike. In particular, the surge in their prices on Wednesday, February 26, raised significant interest. Each of these tokens has its unique feature that has contributed to its rise in value and the resulting investor interest.
Tumblr media
Polkadot (DOT) has been a perennial challenger in the cryptocurrency space, noted for its interoperability with other blockchain systems. Polkadot has always attracted investors because of its creative approach to addressing scalability difficulties in the cryptocurrency sector. Polkadot's recent upward trend has piqued investor interest as the company strives to improve its ecosystem. Also Read:   bybit-hack-a-north-korea-issue-not-a-crypto-issue-expert-insights/ Similarly, Uniswap (UNI), one of the most popular decentralised exchanges, has sparked interest in its liquidity options. Investors value the Uniswap platform because it is decentralised and provides simple automated trading services. The Uniswap cryptocurrency remains in focus as its liquidity pools and decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols expand. Pi Network (PI) took the cryptocurrency world by storm last week when it launched its mainnet. Traders speculated about an anticipated Binance listing, which caused Pi's price to rise. This unexpected gain increased Pi's market capitalisation to more than $14 billion, making it one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. The increasing advancements surrounding Pi Network only increase its attraction to investors. Finally, Quant (QNT), a project focused on blockchain interoperability and tokenization of real-world assets, has seen a price increase led by a favourable market trend. Despite the lack of a clear news catalyst, the bullish engulfing pattern seen in its charts piqued the interest of institutional and individual investors. Quant's enterprise blockchain solutions have propelled the company to prominence in the industry. As these cryptocurrencies gain traction, investors are closely monitoring their market fluctuations. Polkadot, Uniswap, Pi, and Quant are at the vanguard of the digital asset revolution, with each offering distinct value propositions that are altering the blockchain environment. How Hard is it to Become a Quant Trader?
Becoming a quant trader, or a quantitative trader, is an exciting yet challenging career path that requires a mix of mathematical skills, programming knowledge, and a deep understanding of financial markets. Quantitative trading involves using complex mathematical models and algorithms to make trading decisions, often executed by computers at high speeds. While it can be rewarding, the path to becoming a successful quant trader is not an easy one.
The Skills Required
To succeed in quant trading, a strong foundation in several areas is necessary. First and foremost, you need a solid understanding of mathematics, particularly in areas like probability, statistics, and linear algebra. These subjects help quant traders build predictive models and evaluate risks and returns. You’ll often be using tools like stochastic calculus and time-series analysis to create strategies that can predict market trends or price movements.
Programming is another key skill for aspiring quant traders. Languages like Python, C++, and R are commonly used in the quant trading world. Python, in particular, is favored for its simplicity and versatility. You will need to write algorithms, backtest trading strategies, and manipulate large datasets. Familiarity with databases and tools for processing big data is also crucial in today’s market where the speed and volume of information are massive.
Beyond technical expertise, a deep understanding of financial markets is essential. A quant trader must know how various assets behave, including stocks, options, and derivatives. This understanding helps in designing models that account for real-world market conditions and fluctuations. Experience with market microstructure and how orders are placed and executed can also provide an edge.
The Learning Curve
The learning curve to become a quant trader can be steep, especially if you don't already have a background in mathematics or programming. Many people who enter this field come from backgrounds in finance, engineering, physics, or computer science. While formal education is helpful, it's not always required, but it can make it easier to build the necessary skills. Some aspiring quant traders pursue advanced degrees, such as a Master's or PhD, in quantitative finance or related fields.
However, even with a strong academic background, the practical application of these skills is not straightforward. The markets are complex, and the ability to create a profitable strategy requires not only technical expertise but also intuition and experience, which takes time to develop. Additionally, the nature of financial markets means that strategies that work well at one point can quickly become obsolete as market conditions change.
The Competitive Nature of the Field
Quant trading is a highly competitive field. There are many professionals in the market vying for a limited number of positions at top firms. The financial industry, especially in areas like hedge funds and proprietary trading firms, often seeks individuals who can combine advanced technical skills with an innovative approach to trading. This means that success in this career is not just about having the right knowledge, but also about being able to think critically and develop strategies that stand out in the crowded market.
One important aspect of being a successful quant trader is staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and financial theory. The markets are constantly evolving, and so are the techniques used to analyze them. Continuous learning and staying ahead of the curve are essential for long-term success.
Conclusion
Becoming a quant trader is not an easy task, but it is a highly rewarding one for those who are dedicated and possess the right set of skills. It requires a mix of mathematics, programming, and financial knowledge, along with the ability to think critically and adapt to constantly changing market conditions. If you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn and grow in this field, quant trading can offer a fulfilling and potentially lucrative career. For more resources on getting started, you can check out Quant Coaching, which provides valuable guidance for aspiring quant traders.
