QUANT BLITZ PLUSHIE COMPLETE!!!!

I am so happy with him! The base pattern I used is by the wonderful @dollphinwing but I designed the hair entirely by myself!!! It took several prototypes but I am so happy with how he came out!!!

The embroidery was done by hand, and for the first time for this type of plushie I used the sewing machine for most of it! YAY!

Next up are his pajamas - these are temp ones ("hospital gown" for new plushies 😉).

left: early pattern. Six separate triangles that formed a cone, made of paper. Taped together and resting on a yellow plushie prototype.

middle: paper prototypes that are "one piece" (though are actually two pieces printed out and taped together to form one)

right: a prototype yellow fleece head. You can see the shape isn't quite right to the final product, partially because of an extra dart, and partially because it isn't fully stuffed.

Candy.... You can hold her gentle like ice cream cone

I made her on a whim because just... she was so plushable and I kept thinking of the cool idea how to do her ears

Time: around 11 hrs

Materials/process:

I created the pattern for her from scratch and then sewed most of her out of felt, stuffed with polyfill (including her ears and tail). I then added a layer of felting wool on top of the sewn ears and tail, and loosely felted it on, so that they would be fluffy, while felting the details for the curls. The pieces of her face are cut out of more felt, which I felted on. I used white acrylic paint to make the shine in her eyes and a black POSCA marker for her mouth.

It's always the things you make on a whim that come out the best, huh? I guess it makes sense, because if you make something on a whim that signals a boost of inspiration :) I'm really happy with how she turned out.

Many plushies were made for the next event! These were all colour combo suggestions from fans. I do quite love them!

My 20cm cotton doll Clayman plushie has been completed! Entirely hand sewn and hand embroidered. The base pattern for the plush was by @dollphinwing, as were the hair patterns which I tweaked slightly to be perfect for Clayman! The embroidery was designed and completed by me.

I am over the moon with him! And huge win, as promised, he can wear most 20 cm doll clothes!

These clothes are temporary, borrowed from a plushie I bought from plushwonderland some time ago, but they fit perfectly which is absolutely wild. I want to make my own clothes, but that's still some time away I think! So I couldn't resist showing him off now, because I am very happy and proud.
