I swear, every time I’m like, let me read, I just go back to Agatha Christie. She is the Queen of Mystery, and of course, I am actually back to reading her books now, after a break from reading physical books for a bit (yeah I do that sometimes, it’s complicated).
Anyway, I am currently reading Mrs. McGinty’s Dead, and I am going to catalogue posts on this book as I read it. This is a murder mystery with Hercule Poirot as the lead detective, and suffice to say, I love Poirot books.
P.S. I am also the kind of person who reads multiple books at a time, so it’s highly possible you all will be hearing from me about other books as well.

Queen of Mystery: The Unseen Crush
Episode 1 : Atharv’s Adventurous Escape
Mumbai, a sunny afternoon. A sleek black car speeds through the wide city roads and comes to a halt in front of a luxurious restaurant. A confident woman emerges, adorned in a stunning black party gown with her hair flowing freely, holding a golden handbag. She walks into the restaurant, leaving onlookers stunned. The restaurant resembles a golden palace with a beautiful interior, adorned with precious decorations, flowers, and well-dressed staff.
She approaches a table where three men are chatting. The men are dressed in stunning formal attire - black, dark green, and royal blue. She stands there silently. One of the men asks if she wants to ask something.
"Do you want to ask something?" The man asked. "No, nothing, sir. I just wanted to know if you can help me in any way." Said the lady.
"Help? What help do you want?", the man asked. The Lady smirked and said, "I just want to know if you have seen Mr. Singhaniya here. I was invited by him, but my phone is dead, and I can't find him. Also, I haven't seen him before, so I can't recognize him. He doesn't even reveal any photos of him on social media. You people look like his colleagues, handsome, just like people say he is. So I asked you."
All of them look at each other surprisingly. "I am Mr Singhaniya. But... I haven't invited you. I don't know who you are. Who are you?" The man said assertively. "I am Siya, a fashion designer. Don't you remember you messaged me to say that you liked my design in the exhibition and want me to design the same outfit for you? You said that we should meet in this restaurant at this time. So, I've come here." "Oh! You are the designer I talked with yesterday. But in the exhibition, the manager told me that you are a senior person while you are so young and charismatic too. Please have a seat", said Mr Singhaniya.
Siya pulls out a chair and sits on it while saying, "He doesn't know anything about me. He just tried to guess my age by the efficiency, accuracy, and appropriateness of my design skills. All my designs look as if they are made by some experienced designer, so he might've thought I must be some aged person."
"Oh! So your identity is hidden from everyone. I am not the only one, right?"
"Yeah! I mostly don't give my intro to everyone, you know. I don't want unnecessary fame and praise, difficult to handle. I just tell them my name. That's enough." "Though you are not a senior person, your thoughts are just like an experienced one. These are my business partners. I have told them about you earlier. Also, Sharad liked that design and he wants to launch it in his store in partnership with me. Right, Sharad?", Mr Singhaniya said while looking towards Sharad. "Yes, it is a very exquisite and all-time appropriate design. It can attract good sales. I would like to launch it in my brand's name. What do you think, Miss Siya?", Mr Sharad said.
"I accept your offer. But I prefer to have business talks later sometime. Right now, I would like to know what kind of design Mr. Singhaniya would like to have in his new outfit, that same design or something different? And I would like to make outfits for you both also, just tell me your preference. By the way, you haven't introduced him yet, Mr. Singhaniya." Designer Siya said while looking toward the third man.
"I am Arnav Singh, Parth's business partner", Mr Singh introduced himself. Designer Siya Looks towards Mr Singhaniya and says, "Oh! So your name is Parth." "Yeah", said Mr Parth Singhaniya. "OK, so do you also like my design, Mr. Arnav? Should I make an outfit for you too?" Siya asks Arnav. "Yeah, sure", Said Arnav. Mr Sharad said, "For me too." "OK, just a minute, I take out my pen and design book." Designer Siya says while opening her golden handbag, pulls out a revolver, and keeps it on the table.
The three men are taken aback to see that. Parth, Sharad and Arnav are so confused, their faces look so pale and they look at each other shockingly. Then she takes the phone, pen and design book out. She smiles at them gently. They, too, give a smile. She starts designing an outfit for Parth. Parth gained the courage to ask her about the revolver and said, "What's that revolver? How come you have it.....here?"
"It's my revolver. I have a license. I have many times been attacked by goons. So this is for safety." Siya said.
"But why would anyone attack you?" Parth asked. "For my designs, and I am not sure, but maybe for me too", Siya answered. "Ohh!", Parth exclaimed.
Everyone takes the matter casually and sees her making the decisions for themselves peacefully.
When all this is taking place in the restaurant, an exciting incident is going on outside the office of S.A. Publications. A dashing young man dressed in a complete black outfit, pants, boots, shirt and a long coat comes out of the building and starts walking towards a bike in the parking lot. Suddenly, a gang of seven armed men pushed the guards aside and entered the gate shouting, "Atharv Mehra, where is he?" Atharv looked at them and recognised them. He silently walked towards his bike and was about to ride it, but one of the men recognised him and shouted, "There he is".
Atharv immediately rode the bike, drifted to turn towards the gate and speeded out. They ran after him in their jeep. Atharv's bike speeded glamourously across the wide city roads filled with traffic, overtaking every single vehicle and making unbelievable stunts wherever necessary. The jeep followed him hastily. At one point, Atharv crashed his bike into a tree beside the road. He jumped from the bike and rolled three times on the footpath to be safe but the bike was completely defunct and was lying next to the tree with its wheels rolling. The public was watching the scene astonished. Atharv didn't waste his time and started running. The jeep followed him, and the people around were amazed to see that movie-like scene.
Atharv was running fast as if talking to the winds. Jumping through the vehicles on the way. The jeep followed him until he ran into a small street. From there they followed him without their jeep. They continuously followed him and he kept on running.
On the other hand, Siya finished making the designs. "See. These are the designs. Do you all like them?" Siya asked everyone while showing the designs she made. Everyone said, "Yeah. Perfect." "OK. Then I should ask for your leave." Siya said. "Ok. There's a party at my house tonight. You must come. And for the collaboration, you can come to the office in a day or two." Said Parth.
Siya answers, "Ok. I'll try to come. And please message me to remind me of the collaboration; otherwise, I'll forget. Nice to meet you guys." Siya leaves the restaurant. "Nice to meet you," everyone said while they all admired her from behind.
"Don't you think she was a bit weird kind of girl?" Sharad asked. "What weird?", said Parth. "No. I mean which girl carries a revolver with her in a public place? She seems delicate from the outside but keeps weapons." Sharad expressed his suspicion. "Yeah. It was a bit weird", Arnav said.
"Maybe. Let it go now." Said Parth and they become engrossed in their conversation once more.
Why did Siya keep a revolver with her?🤨
What kind of danger does she have?😐 Is it real or is she just fabricating stories? 🤔
Who is Atharv and why are those people following him?😮🤨
Read further to know Siya and Atharv's real identity.😊

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW😮🤩, THE QUEEN of MYSTERY Agatha Christie is incomparable🙌✨. And Then There Were None 📖 is one of her best works and one of the best books ever to be written or exist. Her brain 🧠👀 should be applauded for thinking these mind bending ideas for various stories.
The plot and story is so intriguing and executed precisely. I was fully captivated into it!!! The characters were very entertaining😘😍. So intense and gripping it kept me guessing everything.
And the final ending reveal blew my mind, my jaw was on the floor😦😧😲.
This book delivered everything it was set out to. A masterpiece classic mystery👏🔪.

To be clear: I have read around 30 Christie books, and seen a number of film and TV adaptations, so I'm not a hater by any means…but I do think she's a smidge overrated. I have a theory that people who still laud her as the queen are mainly familiar with her through adaptations, but I could be wrong -- please reblog for a better sample size!

Nothing good comes from bringing back the memories, what we need to do now is keep doing what trolls do: singing, dancing and hugging. I'm sure you will understand.
.
.
Here is some lore to introduce the main conflict of my AU "Harmony Valley". For those who don't know the two trolls singing are my oc's Jacinto y Peonia (Hyacinth and Peony) uncle and mother of Poppy and Viva. I hope you like it.

actually i love it when the characters are all lying. i love it when they all have secrets and none of them trust each other. i love being given clues that solve puzzles i haven't even been presented with yet. i also love it when i get chills watching a scene without even knowing what it means, and when i do know what it means, i get even more chills. i love theorizing and thinking and solving and coming up with possibilities of where a story might be going. i love it and i will do it for free, for fun, for no real reason.
this is a mystery appreciation post!! if you appreciate mysteries and secrets and stories that slowly unravel before you, please interact!!!
