Why did I tear apart my $$$$ statue? As awesome as the Queen Studios Venom bust is, it has some issues. The mouth is formed with multiple pieces (the upper teeth, lower teeth, and the two stringy cheek pieces)…meaning seams! The factory did not properly fill in the seams at the corners of the lower jaw, leading to cracks forming. Once I removed the clear goop in these areas, you can see how huge the gap is. The original clear goop was difficult to remove just in the corners of the mouth, so I actually had to remove it along the entire lower jaw. I spent some time the last few days filling in and resculpting the seams, and repainting to match. Then I re-applied the clear goop using a UV resin.
