“Can I walk you home?” The villain asks. The hero stares at her enemy for a moment, convinced she misheard something. Evidently, she didn't.

“Why?” The hero manages to choke out. The thought is amusing. “So I don’t get kidnapped? That’s ironic, considering you’re the one who would be most likely to kidnap me.”

“Oh, please, I'd never kidnap you randomly,” the villain scoffs, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest. She's steadily avoiding eye contact now. “I’d ask you first, at the very least.”

“Consensual kidnapping,” the hero mutters disbelievingly to herself. She shoves her hands in her pockets, an attempt to do away with some of her restless energy. “Great. Okay, fine. You can walk me home.”

The villain grins.

Turtlenecks: a style but too choking

Collared shirts: you’re on fucking thin ice babe but 7/10 for style and 10/10 If someone else is wearing it and their sleeves are rolled up 👀 personally: not bad if no tie because it leaves my throat open and not feeling like there’s a constant chance I could get choked by my own shirt

Shirts with very tight neck holes: why. Fuck you 

Crew necks: also thin ice but only bc every company is slightly different and if it is slightly different I will scream and burn the shirt.

Scoop Necks: overall the most predictable to jump between crew and scoop. But there is such thing as too much scoop, I’m looking at you forever 21

V neck: why are you not wearing a collared shirt over this? Basically in ur underwear if it’s white. Otherwise ? You had other choices and you chose the tight fit v neck that only comes in three colors, 4 neon choices if you want to go for a jog. Women: you’re doing great keep on wearing them, men: you better be shaved as a dolphin, better not see a single hair or hold chain next to that v neck. Everyone else and anyone in between: you keep on keeping on, I bet you’ve taken time to decide who you want to be so I trust you have good judgement :)

feb of rary problems

listening THIS IS CHAI by CHAI. this song dredged a memory out of the very back of my skull. we’re gonna have to back up into the distant past of the very early aughts, where i was at a horse show because my aunt was showing. my aunt had a friend who was showing her saddlebred, and whatever music they were playing in the ring- some sort of lightly bombastic swingy brassy march? reminds me of this song. genius wants me to know they’re a punk-pop quartet. i do not mentally categorize them as the pop punk i listened to in high school bc they’re way too cheerful. they’re maybe a little bubblegum or sunshine pop, in the way that those things are a little camp now? pitchfork (i KNOW ok) says “evokes the sight of a highly pressurized can of whipped cream exploding” which, yes.

reading easing back into Reading Published Books Again by devouring a bunch of ye olde wilde west romances.

i would not call any of the plots especially intricate, compelling, or satisfying, nor would i call the character work terribly good in your average harlequin romance. this is like, the brain equivalent of having a mediocre action movie on in the background as i throw things into the queueueuue? a cheap hit of himbo serotonin before i fall asleep

watching i kept meaning to watch Redline (2009, dir. Koike) (here for free on youtube, i’m still grifting off a friend’s am*zon pr*me bc i need real subtitles) bc the soundtrack fucking whips. the soundtrack within the context of the movie still fucking whips. i am not immune to Cute Girl Drives Cool Car Real Fast. i am also not immune to a beautifully animated machine.

however (always a however) there’s a lot of tit on full display in this thing, and maybe a spaceship powered by orgasms??? hard to say??? can’t really make up my mind on that visual??? the bad guys have a lot of nazi imagery, which makes sense bc they’re the bad guys, but wasn’t really what i was expecting out of my death race/sports anime movie.

playing Ark Noir is a *checks notes* resource-management heavy RPG that’s also a visual novel mystery that’s also a roguelike. i am not known for my love of roguelikes, but one of my biggest character flaws is that i thought steampunk was really cool in high school. so this one got me. the RNG aspects are not fun- i have not made it past floor 2- but it does compel me tho. i think i finally get the “one-more-run” thing people keep telling me about. also,
