Quickly drawn dragons "alphabetically "

I've been wanting to do this challenge with all the dragon designs in alphabetical order for a long time now. I don't have much time to draw in a normal style like last time, so I simplified it a lot.

More about designs and ideas with them:

Qilbi: Since his name literally means wind, I gave him a lot of swirl patterns on his body in the shape of wind currents.

Quickdeath (nightwing who tried to kill Darkstalker): Gave him a robe because.. assassins need to be stealthy haha.

Quicksand (Six-Claws' father): He was described as being a cook and died of an unknown disease that killed a lot of dragons in the Sand Kingdom. I decided to make the disease a more dangerous version of pear rust. It's a disgusting-looking parasitic fungus that actually exists. Quicksand also has a pattern around his eyes that looks like quicksand.

Quickstrike: In the Russian translation, her name was translated as "Lightning" (ironic, because that's what she died from), so I decided to give her lightning patterns.

Beware the Predacons

Just a piece I made for the artistic value of it.

That, and I wanted to see the Predacon six together in some way.

Something I find very hilarious about the Wings of Fire fandom is the hesitance to reuse names for OCs that exist with canon characters when the books themselves have used names multiple times.

Clay's sister, Crane. Also Queen Crane from Darkstalker's time.

Queen Pearl, Snail, and Queen Lagoon from Darktalker's time, and Pearl, Snail, and Lagoon from The Lost Heir.

There is a Rainwing and a Mudwing both with the name Bullfrog.

Six-Claws named his daughter after his mother.

There's an Eagle from Darkstalker's time and an Eagle in Winter Turning for the Skywings.

The Rainwings are likely to have multiple dragons of the same name bc they cycle through a list.

There are 3 known Monarchs within the Silkwing tribe throughout the years.

The Hivewings had a Queen Cicada before the present day's Lady Cicada.

Clearsight had a dragonet named Tortiseshell and then one of her descendants got the same name.

The Nightwings aren't too ashamed of having similar names ie: Mindreader/Mindhealer, Morrowseer/Morrowwatcher, Quickdeath/Quickstrike.

The Guide to the Dragon World literally shows us there is an entire Icewing village that names all their dragonets Snowstorm or Caribou.

This isn't an insult, I'm just making fun of the people who fear having WoF OCs having the same names as canon characters. I'm making an AU where three family members have "Snow" as the first part of their names. I think we're all gonna be fine.

o to be a princess mourning for your lost forbidden love,,, who kissed her in secret because you didn't want your mother to find out,,, who cannot mourn in public for a little too long but will still try to express your care for her in the form of the child she left behind,,, what about that huh

oh btw for context for the victorian flower symbolism tags ( at least according to the websites i found): blue anemones mean mutual trust, affirmation of intelligence, & love/respect; baby's breath means everlasting love; pink camellia means longing for you; red carnations mean 'alas for my poor heart, my heart aches, deep love' (first two could also apply to greatness grieving for quickstrike); gardenia means 'secret love' which i thought was rather fitting, aha; heliotrope means eternal love & devotion which is just so quickness i can't; blue hyacinths mean constancy; honeysuckle means bonds of love; lavender DID mean distrust in the victorian era but it also represents sapphic love nowadays so i thought it was fitting, and yarrow means everlasting love. and for the ones after quickstrike dies: zinnia means thoughts of absent friends & lasting affection; dark crimson roses mean mourning; forget-me-nots mean "i'll never forget you"; and purple hyacinths mean sorrow. i thought it was very angsty and fitting!

that is so very thought out and I love it. I bet that Quickstrike would be whipping out one of those handy books on flower meanings and studying it, just to understand things better, but I wonder what happens after she dies. I wonder how Princess Greatness will express her affections in flower language if there's nobody to receive her bouquets :(. Obviously, she can't send them to Deathbringer, who Princess Greatness has elevated to Quickstrike's former position, as no one knows of her secret love affair with Quickstrike. Of course, Princess Greatness likely can't talk of Quickstrike's death at all, at least not after a certain period of time has passed. She's just there, posture worse than ever, sinking into her angsty grief. No one to talk to at all.

quickstrike's best moment actually is when she had so much dang chemistry with greatness that it literally STOPPED me from describing anything in my fic about her and greatness. i was going to go ramble about the lace on greatness's dress and silk and satin and the like but quickstrike and greatness's chemistry was far too intense and so i continued with the dialogue <3

well of course I would do it :). Quickstrike really had the daring to attend the engagement ball of the daughter of the head of state, ask to dance with her, kiss her several times, and confess and reaffirm her love beneath the stars. that is a peak Quickstrike moment. nobody else would get away with it.

I hold a surprising amount of partiality to Quickstrike, despite never writing a fanfiction where she lives past 5003 A.S. Quickstrike is best girl and also really dead and yet her memory continues to influence Deathbringer and Princess Greatness (who she obviously had a lesbian love affair with) for years after that fateful mission to assassinate Commander Tempest. I mean, she'd be spinning in her grave like a rotisserie chicken after seeing what Deathbringer got up to, but still.

Head empty except for the thought of Deathbringer and Princess Greatness in the room where she spends most of her time talking to her mother but everyone is gone and Queen Battlewinner can't hear them as long as Princess Greatness steps away from the screen and perhaps Greatness won't say anything at all as she remembers her lost love with Quickstrike and how the sight of Deathbringer reminds Princess Greatness of another assassin entirely... Deathbringer doesn't get it because he never knew about his mentor's love life ever, but Princess Greatness lets him get away with things and he's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth
