Witch hat atelier really used anime bangs to their fullest narrative potential. Seven volumes in and they suddenly go “oh yeah quiffrey only has one eye”. I had to go back and double check

I didn't expect you to acknowledge that Beldaruit from Witch Hat Atelier is flawed even though he's one of your faves.

Isn't it like the most normal thing to acknowledge the faults and fails of ones favourite character? It's the same with Quiffrey - he surely is a good guy and a cutie pie, but a perfect innocent cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure? Hell no, he surely isn't, same with his old master. I actually do want characters who fuck up and get called out for it, by other characters and fans the same. Blindly acting as if my fave(s) could never do wrong would neither be fun but healthy, I think. Atelier of Witch Hat shows us anyone can do wrong (like Coco or Agathe constantly do too), but that would never mean I'd hate them or, the other way around, forget about their fails and stand them as nothing ever happened. I'm just too old to act like this lol.
