How would you like to make these modern holiday placemats? These were created on my Bernina with Aurifil thread. The interior design is totally created with strips and angles cut out on an Accuquilt cutter and dies. With the quilt as you go method, these are a breeze to make. Quilted the rest of the blocks and trimmed each one to 10” square. Played with the layout a bit and liked this one the best. I’m adding a darker brown to connect the blocks and for the binding. The top two photos are of a pouch that I have just finished. It started life as some of the pile of scrap fabric in the bottom right photo. I sew the bits of fabric randomly onto wadding, I then quilt the piece and then make items from the new piece of fabric. I made the hobby bag at the bottom a while ago but the pouch was made recently from an offcut of that bag (nothing goes to waste!)
