oo the fish man* makes a comeback to my blog! This'll be about the og (mordrem) iteration of him.
🍋: What is your OC's most painful memory?
We're uh. This is physically painful, so watchout! (skip to the question past the double-dash row if talk of mutilation is upsetting)
A subsection of Pact researchers had been experimenting on captured mordrem to see if they could be "restored" to their pre-corruption selves. Some of this involved physical debridement of growths and extreme warping (we're talking like, Merlin's arm fused to a bow kinda stuff). Quincy wasn't a corrupted sylvari though, so there were no um. legs. under that tail of layered tooth-edged leaves. Attempts to "reconstruct" what was never there just resulted in really painful legs that didn't support weight well and never stayed healed. When he escaped the facility after Mordremoth's death (with @/bird-bureau's Lya's help), he relied on necromantic magic to stave off the necrosis. Eventually he fused and grew-over the limbs to recreate a tail, but it's weaker than it was before it was split and is still quite painful. As a result, he uses his arms more to pull himself around in the water or on shore, and he'll use his staff to better orient himself or pull himself upright.

🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC?
He's not a very sentimental person in the sense that he doesn't cling to items, but he has an odd relationship with death and tends to use his necromantic magic to revive dead wildlife. He has to be persuaded to let any animal simply stay dead.
🍕: How does an OC spend a lazy day?
His days are pretty lazy by most people's standards! He tends to swim lazy patrolling circuits around the portions of the swamp deep enough for him to do so, and when he's not doing that or resting, he likes to read. sometimes he asks lya to read to him instead since it hurts his eyes trying to focus on the lettering.
🎂: Has your OC have any contradictory interests or traits to the first preception people have of them? How do they surprise people?
Would you believe he's a vegetarian? He doesn't usually eat people anymore, either. I don't know how surprising his love for reading is.
Arguably, he surprises people the most by popping up out of the murky water.
