Juno Blackwood had absolutely zero idea about the logistics of hockey as a sport. In fact, if she hadn't been invited to Rogers Arena to perform the national anthems and a quick interval show, she probably wouldn't have even given the sport a second thought.

Her red-heeled, signature cowboy boots clacked across the cement floor as her head swivelled to look at everything her assigned tour guide, Michael had pointed out. She was half-listening, her thoughts more focused on running through various lyrics for her performance– she hadn't meant to zone out but it had just been so easy to.

"And obviously, we managed to get our hands on a jacket for you to wear for the anthems," the man guiding her spoke, snapping her out of her daze. "We figured the jersey mightn't be up your lane."

Feeling a sudden wave of doubt, Juno glanced down at her beige, afghan jacket that just brushed her knees. She wore one of her typical outfits— her boots, a pair of red wide-leg pants and a loose white shirt with a deep neckline, loosely knotted together in the front. Those paired with a gold belt (that she was certain was a long necklace before) seemed to be one of the only suitable options she'd had in her wardrobe.

She wasn't made for the cold weather in Vancouver or the chilly atmosphere of the hockey arena, she was a summer child, drawn to the sun and its warmth.

"Not that your jacket isn't perfect!" Michael rushed to say in a panic as his eyes bulged. Juno had realised that, once again, she seemed to zone out from the conversation at hand. "It's really nice and all, but I know you expressed interest in some Canucks apparel and—"

"The jacket sounds great," Juno cut in kindly, her ring-clad hand placing itself on top of his waving one. "May I see it?" The man flushed and bobbed his head, rushing forward, as Juno kept her strides long to keep up with him.

At the end of the hallway, a group of three people stood, idly chatting. As Juno's heels clicked and echoed, the group's eyes snapped up to meet her gaze. Her eyes remained lax as she locked eyes with the man who stood between two women. His eyes searched hers, as they softened. Juno examined the man shamelessly, taking in his navy suit and beanie, so unlike the outfit she adorned. Her gaze travelled across his stubble to his sheepish smile and his eyes.

Juno hummed, her lips quirking up as Michael stopped in front of the group with her by his side.

"Juno, this is Charlotte and Andrea, our social team," Michael explained, gesturing towards the two women who stood with their cameras and phones out, yet Juno's eyes lingered on the nameless man. "...and this is Quinn Hughes, Captain of the Canucks."

"It's lovely to meet you guys, I’m Juno." She smiled, moving her gaze away from the man–Quinn, as she shook Andrea and Charlotte's hands first. She paused as she turned to shake Quinn's, his intense stare igniting something within her.

Quinn took her hand carefully, their fingers briefly brushing as he finally cracked a smile.

"I'm going to be showing you around from here on,"

Juno almost melted at the sound of his raspy voice, her head tilting as they kept their hands connected. Realising that she had yet to speak up, she cleared her throat and released her grip.

"Great," she offered up, her eyes flitting to Andrea and Charlotte. "And you guys will be coming along for the trip too?"

"Yes!" Andrea gleamed, her eyes twinkling in excitement. "We have a few things planned, so Quinn will be taking you on a tour of the locker rooms as well as presenting you with a jacket."

Juno's eyes jumped back to Quinn, who seemed to be solely focused on her face. She cleared her throat and folded her arms, trying to block out the cold that infiltrated the arena surrounding her– although the heat stemming from his stare was creeping up her spine in indescribable warming sensation.

"You'll also get to meet some of the other guys and we'll try to linger in the background taking photos as subtly as we can," Andrea finished explaining, recapturing Juno's attention.

"You've got it all planned out," Juno commented appreciatively, "that all sounds perfect." She turned back to Quinn. "Well, I guess you're leading the way, Cap."

Quinn stifled a smile and gestured with his head for her to follow as he began to walk. "We can start with the locker room," he spoke, leading Juno further down the hall as she nodded and followed alongside him.

If Quinn's voice was a song, she wanted to listen to it on repeat because she knew she'd never get tired of it.

Now, Juno was no romantic, but with Quinn? He intrigued her...enraptured her attention and she couldn't place why.

"So, how did you get roped into giving me this tour?" Juno teased, as the media women followed close behind. "Lose a bet or were you sacrificed for the greater good?"

"Neither, fortunately," Quinn remarked, his warm eyes sparking with mirth. "I had to quite literally 'take one for the team' as the captain."

"You poor thing," She grinned, her lip jutting out in mock offence.

"That's not what the guys think," he mused, causing Juno's brows to raise in question. "A few of them begged to take you on the tour themselves." Quinn's confession caught her off guard, and she couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well, I must be quite the hot ticket item around here," she replied, her tone playful and light, undeterred by his words as they reached the locker room door.

Like a gentleman, Quinn stepped aside and held the door open for her, warning him with a dazzling and warm smile. As Juno stepped inside the locker room, she was immediately hit by the smell of sweat, disinfectant and leather. Quinn was close behind her as she scanned the room taking in the rows of lockers adorned with players' names and numbers.

"So, uh...this is where the magic happens," Quinn sheepishly spoke, his hands in his pockets. "Well, most of the time."

Juno nodded, impressed by the organized chaos of the space. "It's got a winning kind of energy tonight," she remarked, moving closer to one of the lockers to get a better look at the jerseys hanging up.

"Well, I'd hope so," Quinn mumbled as she approached a locker on the far side which was labelled with her name and displayed a vintage, navy Canucks jacket with a red stripe down the sleeves and the logo on the back.

Juno beamed and ran her hand over the material, her fingers caressing the red, feeling rather glad for her coincidentally, coordinating outfit.

Quinn watched Juno with a soft smile, appreciating her genuine excitement, as he took the jacket off of the hanger and passed it over to her.

"Welcome to the team," he teased, handing her the Canucks jacket, the pair deaf to rapid clicking and flash of the cameras behind them.

Juno shrugged off her Afghan coat and hung it up on the hanger before she took the jacket from him, her fingers running over the material.

"Thank you," she said gratefully, slipping it on over her shoulders. It was slightly oversized but was comfortable and warm, two things she loved about clothing.

Quinn nodded, a small smile playing across his lips. "You're welcome," he replied, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary.

As they stood there, exchanging smiles, Juno couldn't help but feel a flutter erupt in her stomach as her eyes locked on Quinn's. There was something about him that drew her in, further and further.

"Well, how do I look?" Juno radiated a smile, breaking the momentary silence as she twirled.

Quinn watched her with interest, his eyes following her every move. "Looks good on you," he remarked, his voice soft.

Juno grinned, feeling a rush of warmth at his compliment. "Thanks," she said, heat rising up her neck. This was so unlike her, she never acted like this with men– or women for that matter!

"Hi guys, could we just grab a photo of the two of you?" Andrea's perky voice asked, infiltrating whatever moment she and Quinn seemed to be sharing.

"Yeah,"

"Of course!"

Quinn and Juno's words overlapped as the two of them scooted closer together. She plastered her biggest smile across her lips, her head tilting as they faced the multiple cameras facing them. They stood for another few minutes before they were allowed to move apart and move on with the tour.

"So, you're performing during one of the intervals tonight, right?" Quinn asked, glancing over at her as they walked.

Juno shrugged, a smile tugging at her lips. "I am," she hummed, "three songs during the second interval and then the two anthems before the match."

Quinn nodded, seemingly satisfied with her answer. "Well, we're glad to have you here," he said sincerely, his eyes meeting hers. "And I have a feeling you're going to knock it out of the park tonight." Juno felt a warmth spread through her chest at his words, and she couldn't help but return his smile.

"Why thank you, Cap," she joked, successfully hiding the blush she could feel rising to her cheeks as a flutter of excitement turned into a flurry of joy at the thought of performing in front of the crowd later that evening.

"Juno, we're being told to show you where you're sitting and then bring you back in a while to meet some of the players," Andrea read off her phone, her eyes apologetic at the order.

"Alright," Juno hummed before she turned to Quinn for the final time. "Well, Cap, it's been a pleasure, thanks for the tour."

Quinn felt a faint smile grow at her words, a small laugh escaping his lips. "The pleasure's all mine," he nodded, sticking out his hand once again.

As Juno accepted Quinn's hand, she couldn't help but notice the warmth that radiated from his touch. His hand was strong and reassuring, yet surprisingly gentle, despite the toughness of them as their palms met.

For a moment, Juno swore the clocks stopped and the world apart from them fell into the depths of space, leaving the two of them in their bubble. Juno felt another damned flutter erupt in the pit of her stomach, a sensation she couldn't quite explain but couldn't ignore.

As Quinn's thumb brushed over her knuckles, she couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort wash over her. There was something about the way he held her hand – firm yet tender, confident yet gentle, a feeling that seemed to scream safe, as if she had finally found someone who understood her in a way no one else ever had.

Good Lord, Juno needed to take a nap or something. She was becoming soppy and unlike herself.

Pulling away, Juno followed Andrea out of the room, but not before flashing Quinn a dazzling smile, one that was quickly reciprocated by the man.

little backstory, so unnamed singer and quinn got married when they were both 19 after being together for 3 years, right before he left for vancouver. singer is a wellknown and very popular singer/songwriter who has graced the stage of almost every award show and movie premiere possible. the two met in toronto before the hughes moved to michigan, and before she moved back home to Nashville. She then moved to Chicago to be closer to him when he went to umich. right before he was about to leave for a full year in vancouver, the two eloped and up until summer 2022 were together. after four years (seven years altogether) of bliss and pain, the singer is hitting back at quinn's letter to her through her new song.

in quinn's letter to me after we divorced, explained that he had not known when we had lost eachother. he hadn't known that i was feeling that way or that the conversations i had tried to have were from a deep and hurt part of me. he said he never knew that i was feeling this way, and i know why. quinn had not been there two years after we married, like i had for him. i went to all the games, even when i really wanted to say 'fuck you' and leave canada and go home. yet, i stayed. thats it. i stayed, even when it broke me beyond anything i had ever felt before.

i remember sitting across from him in 2021, right after we had landed in vancouver for the upcoming season, and would not look at me. he wouldn't respond to me the way he had always. his eyes used to twinkled with wonder and amazement every time he responded or looked at me. i knew then that something was wrong, and that he was slipping from my fingers. i was losing him, and i didn't know how long i had been before that. and now he's saying he doesn't know when he lost 'us'. oh babe, i can show you the picture i took the moment we settled in for the night. i remember the moment i suggested therapy, and you looked at me as if i had two heads. that simple comment turned into a fight that left me in tears. which conveniently, was right before the toronto film festival and left me sleeping on the couch. but we will come back to that. i remember sitting in our first therapy session, and somehow someway everything was my fault. then the therapist gave me a chance to speak to him, and for once able to get everything off my chest that had been weighing on it for months. he looked as if he had just gotten beaten up by nathan mackinnon or ryan reaves, anybody at that point. it looked as if he was in disbelief, that somebdoy he 'loved' dearly would say. though, i never said anything hateful, just stuff i had noticed over time. but he did not want to hear that, he didn't. so afterwards he continued to be the old 'perfect' quinn that he was, he did make an effort for a few months before crushingly being eliminated from the 2022 playoffs. we flew back home to michigan, where our new lake house awaited with jack. though, as soon as i stepped into a surprise birthday party for me, ellen could tell that i wanted to be anywhere but there. she saw the nervous faces and nervous ticks clear as day. so as soon as i caught a breathe upstairs, she followed. i told her that i couldn't do it anymore, and that i was leaving her son. she held me as i sobbed, not knowing if i was going to actually leave him or not. to her and jim, i loved quinn and he loved me. though, that was far from the truth. she thought i was just saying it like i had did the summer before.

i left the next day, around 6 am when jack was waking up. he saw the suitcases i had by the door as i was loading them into a uber. jack walked outside with a coffee mug in hand, sipping and watching before i noticed him. "shit!" i seethed, holding a hand to my chest. jack had rolled the last suitcase out for me, and we looked at one another before speaking. "you'll be back." jack said and i shook my head. "no, i wont jack. he doe-doesn't love me anymore." she said and he shook his head. "the way he talks about you says something else." jack said so dead set on keeping me here. "no he doesn't. he doesn't even talk to me jack. hasn't for months. you wanna know why i haven't released a song in how long? because i don't leave the house, i don't hang out with people, i don't do anything because ive been trying to be the perfect wife for him in hopes that'd he say something or thank me. but the only way he thanked me was sleeping with a friend from nashville in our penthouse, that i brought." i said before handing the bag to the uber driver, and slipped in the sleek audi. as we drove off, i saw the shocked jack hughes stand there. he hadn't known.

feburary of 2022, i had begun writing my previous album "just a few thoughts" about some feelings i had been having recently, and wrote songs in a way that could be a million different things. when i wrote the first song, i smiled and quickly went to go find him hoping he was in our room so i could put it by him. that was how it had always been, i write a song he listens. but i couldn't find him, and he told me that night that he went out for a drive to brocks. two days later, he left again. and then as i continued to write the album that month, he kept leaving. to god know's where to. i smiled through it, i smiled through the tears that i had whenver he was around. i smiled through the tears when we were with his teammates. i smiled through the lonely nights in bed, when he was and was not there. when i brought it up around april, once he had not made the playoffs, he screamed at me. telling me that he just didn't want to hear my music anymore. it had felt as if the world was breaking beneath me and that my heart was going with it. the very first time we met, and laid eyes on one another we had been at a music festival in toronto, where i was performing some of my songs at the time. that was one of the things he adored about me, was my music and the way i could write and harmonize. and do the 'singing thing i do' he always called it.

prior to that, it seemed as though everytime i wanted to talk, we had to get drunk. and then when we'd get drunk we'd fight and yell and then wakeup as strangers. then we'd go to bed strangers on and on, until he wanted to be lovey dovey to have sex. and so everytime we'd 'talk' he wouldn't listen to me. he would continue on with his day or night, and just blow me off. it just so happened that one time, brock and his girlfriend had come over one time during it, and were shocked to find us at this state. they had believed that we were the shit, that we just oozed love and adoration for one another. but we know that to be far from the truth.

in the letter that he had written to me after i filed for a divorce and a restraining order, had left me confused. he told me he had no idea where it went wrong, but that he was now lost because he didn't have me. i remember sobbing at that line, because he had made it seem like it was all my fault like he did in therapy. he just repeated that statement over and over. it seemed as though now, that i was his whole world. that i took up every part of it, the good and bad.

he didn't understand why i did not want children at our two year mark being married, and sixth year being together. you wanna know why? because i never left that damn penthouse, i never left it - rarely for games and team activities. i never left because i wanted to do everything in my power to make it seem like we had a great home life and one that was filled with equality and adoration. yet, as you know now it was far from it.

the day that our divorce was finalized, we both appreared in an ann arbor court to do so. i read a letter aloud for his family and mine to hear. once i was finished, i looked up at quinn and saw the heartbreaking blank stare he had given me for two years. one that was empty and cold. hard to hear, huh? i then looked over towards his family, and saw similar ones and tears falling from ellen's face. what quinn had told her was one side, and partially incorrect. she could see the genuiness and confidence i posessed. she knew.

i sniffled back my tears, and gave a sullen frown to my divorce who embraced me quickly afterwards. i took one last look at the hughes family on the way out, all of them trying to come with terms of my shocking and heartbreaking letter. was quinn really blindsided? nah. he knew all along, but was just blind.

Like that one time in 2020, before that big show, we had a big fight

it was winter of 2020, and i had somehow begged and successfully gotten quinn to come see me perform in toronto at the toronto film festival for one night only show, promoting a single i did for a movie. i had somehow gotten him to take a few days off, in december before christmas. as soon as we had landed, we hurried to the hotel so i could get a early night but that was not meant to be. i ended up sleeping on the couch that night, and the following one he put on a nice suit and i put on a pretty dress. we posed for pictures backstage and on the red carpet for the event, smiling through tears once more. and at the end of my set, i gave a heartfelt thanks to him. i looked backstage to where he said he'd be all night, and had hoped he had returned from god knows where, but when i looked back i didn't see him. he was at the bar, talking to two random people. and had been all night. i sang the very last song, from the movie, about how it was okay to to cry while going through hard times. the crowd not realizing that i was going through the hardest time in my life, and that song represented me and not those damn movie character's it was supposed to be. i remember swallowing back my tears, smiled at the crowd and waved goodbye.

that night we flew home in a private jet, fighting once more becuase he wasn't there the whole time. he didn't understand what it meant to be there for me when i needed and wanted him the most. he was never there. even when i paid for all the flights and hotels. he never got on the plane to see me in europe while i was on tour in summer of 2021. he was in nashville with his brothers and friends, at some music festival. that was a turning point in our marriage for me, i remember (drunkingly) texting ellen and not my mom, at about 2 am denmark time and 8 pm her time. i told her that i couldn't do it anymore. and that i was at my wit's end with this marriage and that i had planned to leave him once i got back. the morning came and i checked my phone to see ellen's text messages and facetimes, from the time i sent the text. i realized i hadn't sent them to my mom but 'mom # 2'. i sighed, biting my lips and texitng her that everything was okay. and that i wasn't leaving. she'd tell him, i just knew it.

it's been now a year since i filed for divorce, its been now 2 months since i met my now boyfriend, and 2 days since i announced to the world i had new music coming out. i felt like i was going to throw up posting those ill-fated photos that were legally mine now, as i awaited for the response. i heard from people in vancouver that quinn was livid but he had not say or control over me. not anymore atleast. he could be livid and cry like a baby in the penthouse i left him after we divorced. they told me he felt blindsided once more, yet he knew all along this would be happening. that i would get my voice back, and voice what i had been throught the past almost four years now. he had no control over me, and nobody does for that matter.

now as i settle in for the night with my boyfriend josh, who just so happens to play for the san jose sharks i held him a little harder tonight like i normally do. constantly in fear of him leaving or becoming distant. even a year and a half later of not living together and now being divorced for a year, that fear still lingers. but, i had found somebody who was all and completely mine.

Juno mindlessly hummed to herself, her fingers softly plucking at her guitar strings as the music permeated the silence of the Vancouver apartment. The moonlight from outside cast shadows across the lamp-lit living room in which she had sought refuge in. It was just after three in the morning and Juno couldn’t sleep.

She didn’t quite know why, all she knew was that laying in bed feeling sorry for herself beside a cuddly and sleeping Quinn Hughes, was simply no good for her soul. She wouldn’t dare the risk of tainting the perfection of his hold and the comfort of the bed they shared.

Juno huffed as she hummed again, her fingers pausing as she rummaged through her brain for chords or lyrics or sleep, or anything to just soothe her addled mind. With a final sigh, she placed the guitar to her side, her knees lifting to press against her chest as she curled up on the worn, red sofa.

It had been the one she’d picked out for her and Quinn’s apartment, in fact, the majority of the furniture was her doing.

Quinn joked that she was breathing life into the place, something which despite being a casual remark, she took to heart. The apartment was one of the only havens of solace she found nowadays. With her popularity only growing and her new album on the brink of release, Juno could barely leave the apartment without being disguised in one of Quinn’s beanies or baseball hats, and sunglasses.

“Can’t sleep?”

Her head whipped towards the noise, her eyes landing on Quinn, whose tracksuit pants hung loose on his hips, his hair mussed from his sleep and his tired eyes worried as he scanned Juno’s figure.

“I don’t think sleep likes me tonight,” she half-heartedly smiled, resting her head atop of her drawn-up knees. Quinn sighed, taking in her dishevelled state, his eyes drifting from his girl to her guitar strewn beside her.

Slowly, Quinn moved to sit beside Juno, his warmth practically radiating from his skin as his arm brushed hers. His hands picked up her guitar like it was a precious vase– fragile, delicate and irreplaceable.

“Want to play me something?” He spoke, his voice laden with a tired rasp that sent chills down Juno’s spine.

He was offering her respite. The chance to play without feeling the need to be perfect or overly creative. Juno found herself nodding silently, unfurling herself as Quinn handed her the guitar before his hand slithered into its familiar position on her waist.

She shifted closer to his body, her fingers traipsing up the neck of her guitar, letting the familiar feeling of it leech through the fog of her infested mind. Taking a shallow breath, Juno began to strum the guitar, its deep yet gentle hum reverberating around them.

Juno shut her eyes as she played the familiar tune of Blackbird by the Beatles. It was the first song she’d ever learned on the guitar, one she sought comfort in time after time, letting it ground her to who she was and allow it to soothe her every frazzled nerve.

“Blackbird singing in the dead of night,” her husky voice filled any and all gaps of nothingness found in the apartment, as Quinn tilted his head to listen to her sing. Juno sunk back into the warmth of his chest as she continued to play.

“Take these broken wings and learn to fly,”

There was never a moment in which Quinn wasn’t completely enraptured by her singing. Even when she wasn’t trying to perform, her voice was powerful and a natural magnetic gift– drawing in anyone who was blessed enough to hear it. Her voice was like honey, soothing and smooth.

“All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise,”

Quinn brushed Juno’s auburn hair off of her shoulder, leaving the bare skin exposed to the night air. Leaning down, he peppered soft kisses from her shoulder to her neck, leaving goosebumps in his wake. He was humming along faintly, his deepened hum perfectly intertwining with her voice.

Juno strummed the last chord as she sang the last lyrics, her head feeling clearer by the minute as she relished the rise and fall of Quinn’s chest against her back.

Quinn paused his lingering kisses, his nose brushing along the exposed skin of her neck. His scruff was gentle but grounding as his thumbs caressed the skin beneath Juno’s tank top.

“Better?” He murmured, his lips ghosting her ear as she relished his every lingering touch.

Juno hummed and nestled back into the sturdiness of his bared chest. “Can I stay here for a while?” She whispered nervously, with her lip moving between her teeth as her eyes shut.

Quinn silently moved her guitar to the side before pulling her completely onto his lap, holding her tight as he leaned back into the comfort of the couch. He pressed a chaste kiss to her temple, allowing her to curl into him.

“You can stay here for as long as you want, pretty girl, I’ll be right here with you.”

This album was produced in the summer of 2021, however it is a collection of Juno’s writing from dating back to when she was 16 to the age of 20.

It was produced by Julian Rowe, who cowrote and sung on the track “Look at Us Now”. Julian Rowe, pictured below, is a five-time Emmy winning producer and singer. Known for his work with notable artists such as Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. He has grown into a close friend of Juno Blackwood and the two are thick as thieves when it comes to the music industry.

The album’s cover photo was taken by Juno when she dropped her phone, which was set to take a timed photograph of her and her cat. The back cover was taken by Julian Rowe during one of the album’s late night mixing session.

Over 132 songs were narrowed down into the 10 released, and Juno Blackwood has stated: “it’s not their (the other songs) time yet, I can feel it.”

The album demolished the charts upon its release on September 23rd, 2021, with Rolling Stones Magazine even naming it number 87 in the best debut albums of all time.

Juno has claimed that the album is an eclectic collection of sounds and “has something that anyone could enjoy.” It is a pop album with country and rock twists, drawing inspiration from bands such as Fleetwood Mac and singers such as Joni Mitchell and Patti Smith.

“I like to think of my songs as aspects of my soul,” Juno said, in an article with Rolling Stones Magazine. “Every musical thought I have has been a result of the iconic music of the past. I want my music to reflect the respect and passion I have towards the history and impact of these artists…and I feel like this album encapsulates that level of admiration I hold for them.”

The album stood in the top five of the charts for ten weeks, with the singles “Young and Beautiful” and “Look at us Now”, alternating number one on the charts for eight weeks.

“It’s great to hear music like this again,” Stevie Nicks remarked for Times Magazine, when asked if she’d heard and liked Blackwood’s album. “It has that deep, soulful and transcendent sound that often gets lost in the modern music culture.”

Juno! by Juno Blackwood was well-received all around the world and led to her EU/US & Canada tour.

i was wondering how did luna and nico meet? and how did lunas friend and family react to them dating? like i feel like quinn, ellen, jim, cole and ethan would be okay with them but everyone else would be upset

so i only did Luna’s family. Sorry for how long they are 😭 Enjoy!!

So in my ‘Meet Luna Hughes’ i mentioned that Luna has had a crush on Nico since he was drafted to the NHL. Being in a hockey based family, the Hughes family have watched every NHL drafts, rooting for their friends. When the 2017 Draft was happening Luna was sitting with her family. The first time the camera showed Nico, Luna fell in love. Quinn was the first and only one to notice, he also never said anything for years (which is important.) When Luna and Nico started dating Luna was 19 and Nico Was 23. They kept secret but with Quinn being Luna’s best friend, he was the first person she told and made him pinky swear to NOT tell anyone, especially Jack and Luke.

In order of who she told/who found out:

Quinn’s Reaction: He’s a little shocked but not surprised. He’d let Luna know that he knew about her long time crush on Nico (not knowing that he was also exposing Luna for that.) He would be the biggest supporter of their relationship. Oh and also since he is Luna’s older older o̲l̲d̲e̲r̲ brother, he gave Nico the big brother talk.

Ellen’s Reaction: Oh she was so happy for Luna and Nico. Literally welcomed Nico into the family with open arms. Always inviting him over to spend time with Her, Luna and Jim (eventually the whole family when Jack and Luke found out)

Jim’s Reaction: Went major over protective dad mode. With Luna being the youngest and only daughter, Jim values their relationship so much that he swore to protect her the day she was born. He gave the over protective dad talk, making sure Nico knew that if he breaks Luna’s heart he will kill him.

Luke’s Reaction: (after Luna and Nico have been dating a while) Oh poor Lukey, he accidentally caught Luna and Nico holding each other and talking in a slightly dark corridor. He was shoked, mad, confused and worried. He literally walked away, didn’t tell Luna nor Nico he was there (didn’t tell Jack…. yet.) The Devils went on to play and unfortunately they lost. When back in the locker room Nico, Jack and Luke were the last three in there, Nico was talking to Jack when Luke had had enough. He walked up to Nico (his Captain mind you) and said to him “Maybe if you weren’t so enamored with my twin, we would’ve won.” Jack instantly looked at Nico who was as red as a tomato. Oh and when he found out that Quinn knew before him he was livid, literally pulling the “I'm your twin” to Luna.

Jack’s Reaction: Jack was trying to process what Luke had just said. His captain Nico Hischier, than man he has know for 4 years, is dating his baby sister. Jack looked at Nico and then stormed out of the locker room and started looking for Luna. When he found her, she was talking to Alexander, Curtis and Timo, Jack didn’t care tho. He walked up to Luna and asked if Luke was telling the truth, obviously Luna was confused and Jack blurted out “are you dating my captain or not?” Luna was embarrassed with everyone looking at her so she dragged Jack into a nearby room and told him the truth. Jack was obviously upset and left Luna by herself and, being the stubborn guy that he is, ignored both Luna and Nico for three months (Unlike Luke who ignored them for 4 weeks.) After a stern talking to by Ellen and Jim, and even Quinn, he eventually became Lucos (he literally came up with the name) biggest fan and supporter.

Nina’s Reaction: Being Nico’s older sister she was a little overprotective but when Nico introduced Luna to the Hischier Family (unlike the Hughes family they all found out at the same time) Nina’s overprotectiveness of Nico switched to Luna. With both Luna and Nina being the only daughter of their respective families, they became the best of friends. Nina pulled Nico aside after a dinner and gave him her big sister talk saying “If you break her heart, cheat on her, abuse her or do anything to her i will end you.” Luna overheard this and tried so hard not to laugh at this, because she had just met Nina and she already loves Luna. Nico was nervous after that talk, so anytime Nico and Luna fought he would be the first to apologize (with Luna following after.) Nina is the first person Nico goes to for help for a gift or a birthday party or an anniversary thing. Nina’s also is the first person Luna goes to for anything (SORT OF SPOILER: even when Luna was freaking out about missing her period, Nina was there to help her with taking the test and calming Luna’s anxiety when it was positive)
