I am so not caught up with Dungeon Meshi but Kabru strikes me as the type to be so full of rage that he just assumes he's probably in the wrong when weird shit SHOULD be pissing him off. And he's so charming/complacent seeming that it fucking works until Laois is like "oh you're so nice wanna eat this carcass with me?" And Kabru is like oh no can't be rude just do it. Wow, so impolite of me to be thinking of murder I should eat even more to be nice.
All I see when I look at Kabru is me masking and it's so funny. Like, yes, if I was in their universe I would 100% be risking my limbs to be pleasant. I know he has motives TM but STILL.
Laois/Kabru are two sides of the same coin and this symbiotic relationship is beautiful. Shine on weird kings.

Another thought on ‘recoloring’ Sans:
Straight recolours are pretty uncommon. I can’t think of any right now. I’m not exactly an AU expert tho.
As a relative newbie to art, I can say this: It’s actually really, really, hard to work with colour, and whenever I see a design that does very little to change itself from Sans’ design, is distinctive, looks great and doesn’t rely on stripes, I am actually really impressed!
You know why? because I don’t think I can recall such a design. it’s hard!

I wish Senshi was my dad. Also unrelated but if anyone finds POV asmr vids of a stocky bearded man feeding you cutlets and talking about the importance of self care, let me know.

I love Tumbles.org cause I will see a post about poopoo peepee and I'm like, yeah let's comment on that. And I leave a paragraph talking about my own experience with poopoo peepee, just to scroll up and realize it was reblogged by @MutualWhoIsCoolandSexy and feel ashamed cause I technically just sent them a message 🫨🤮😎👍

Underfell was certainly the most novel AU, does that make it the most creative?
What if the creators were Danny Phantom fans? I know the (Danny) Phandom has created AUs like this before, although not to the extent that the UT fandom does. Then, it’s transposing that idea of an ‘au’ onto a new fandom.
Idk guys, what’s a creativity.
Those posts got me in a really thoughtful mood and I don’t see the end of it any time soon.
... I’m gonna study and then look up definitions of creativity. Which seems ridiculous, but oh well, I’m me. XD

What’s going on over here?
You’ve stumbled across one of my favourite past-times: arguing.
Let me be clear. By arguing I really mean “Presenting & exploring a point of view in a logically consistent, hopefully convincing manner” (or trying to), I don’t mean “fighting people”. Arguing is most entertaining when it’s done about things that don’t really matter.
As soon as it starts mattering, people get upset, stressed out, and that sucks, because I want to argue for entertainment (and because I think I’m right) not because it’s bad not to share my pov.
They said that they were interested in being convinced, so I guess I tried, but it’s kinda impossible to argue that something is ‘fun’ with logic, you need to find examples. But I didn’t get to approach it from that angle. Oh well! I think they were disinterested anyway. Maybe they’ll get back to me if not?
Anyway, the great thing about arguing is that it lets you put your own thoughts and thought-patterns under a microscope, and correct them if you think they’re wrong. I learned a lot about how I thought about the fandom in that conversation! My MBTI type is INTP you might be able to tell that. :D

@geekyowlet
No, there are lots of other AUs with a lot more creativity. Underfell just has a lot of different takes on it.
Actually maybe it is I just defined creativity.
See? :P
But anyway, lemme put my argument another way, because perhaps you missed it? Or I’m possibly just being arrogantly certain of my pov.
Let’s say creativity is doing something new and different. Repurposing an old idea for a new purpose. Thinking outside the box.
With this definition, you can’t consider UF’s creativeness in the context of other AUs, you gotta consider its creativity in the context of the fandom pre-underfell, which afaik did not include any AUs.
Of course, this is only original underfell. You’re talking about underfell the AU conglomerate where everyone gets to pitch in and define their own (or multiple) version of underfell, and is probably a reason for the AU’s popularity, allowing continual tweaking, depth, and more and more fine-tuning of similar ideas. More depth, shall we say, although the depth depends on the individual interpretation.

@sansansansansans (still can’t mention your main blog) lol ofc not, there are many aus that are more creative with more interesting elements, but red is cute and will always be my bae
See I need people like Fish here to keep me making sense and call me on my shit.
@geekstudio
I don’t have this much thinking power in me and I don’t have enough ThinkPoints™ to buy more
ThinkPoints are expensive. Also, muahahaha! I have confused you into a corner! Honestly tho. Have a think. Maybe your natural way of thinking about this is radically different to mine. Probably. if you do have more thoughts, I’d like to hear them. Perhaps I won’t even argue that time. >.<

I tried to get my mother to play Undertale, but she wouldn’t move from where Toriel left her in the ruins and we just stood there to the end of time while the annoying dog snored on the phone.
People often portray Toriel as a helicopter parent, but I’m pretty sure all Asriel and Chara had to do to distract her was go: “Mum can you bake us a thing?”

Alphys
Asgore
Characters who I hated when I first met them, and that hared caused me to pretend they didn’t exist:
Mettaton (is steadily crawling towards the other category.)

so far as I know, it’s not even really canon that Sans is fat -- well, not unless you believe Papyrus who calls him round -- yet non-fat Sans humanisations just seem so wrong to me. Sans humanisations require cheek pudge.
(If I’m wrong about the canon thing plz tell me.)
Cheek pudge for human Sanse.

ps. @imjustalazycat‘s Red is one of my favourite kinds of Underfell Sans. A super fretful victim moodstate that flips into a killing machine moodstate is uh. UH.
-squints at plot bunnies-
I may have plans to write a fic about that.

So I’m only going to make one post like this, but I’ve been on tumblr nearly 5 years now and I need to release a my frustration and offer a perspective on a few things, so I have this to say about common attitudes around here to self-diagnosis and ‘safe spaces’:
Self diagnosis can be helpful. Personally, the popular tumblr attitude of ‘don’t self-diagnose’ was very harmful to me. I pissed myself out fear and anxiety and lost control of my breathing for 50 minutes and couldn’t call it an anxiety or panic attack -- unfortunately this coincided with my discovery of tumblr and tumblr taught me that I wasn’t allowed to label my experiences. I have had an anxiety and depression diagnosis on my medical records for years but because noone ever said to me “You have depression and anxiety” I was unwilling to use those words. Only a few months ago, when I said to myself: “I’m going to use these words, they’re useful”, have I begun to make significant improvements to my mental health (And coincidentally learned that yeah, that record’s been there for a while XD)
So: If tumblr’s saying don’t define your potential illnesses based on advice from randoms who are not health professionals, know that tumblr is full of randoms. (And that me, a random, is informing you that my health professionals thinks that idea is pretty dumb.)
Safe-spaces are personal & other people’s safe spaces are not yours to define. You cannot truthfully say that your blog is “A safe space for X” because safe spaces are personal and everyone’s needs are different. Safe spaces are inherently about censoring certain opinions that would invalidate the safe space.
What if you say your blog is safe for asexuals, but an asexual who’s deeply committed to marriage as a male/female union finds a post on your blog that says that anyone with that opinion is a terrible person? What about the sex-repulsed asexual who encounters a post expressing how asexuality does not involve sex-repulsion? This is what diversity looks like. It’s messy and complicated. People are different. They have different needs. They have different needs at different times.
To me, defining others’ safe spaces inevitably involves guilt-trips and exclusion -- not the sort of things you want in a safe space! If you do want to build a blog that’s a truly safe place for people, I recommend only reblogging positive posts. “Fat is gorgeous” rather than “Why are thin people so judgemental?” -- only that means your blog isn’t a safe place for people to complain and express their hurt, doesn’t it?
So just describe the sorts of posts that people will find on your blog if you really want it to be a safe space. Please let people choose if your blog is a safe space  for them on their own. :/

In regards to that “Fandom is not your safe space” essay that is/has been floating around:
I just want to point something out.
Personally, my dash is my safe space. I have made it so, because I am very selective about the blogs I follow. Before following a blog, I check their archive (blogname.tumblr.com/archive) to make sure there’s nothing there that will bother me.  There are plenty of blogs that I like that I do not follow because they post content that will upset me if I encounter it in the wrong mood. There are plenty I of people I hang out with, in this fandom and in others, whose blogs I don’t follow because they will violate the utter contentment I feel with my dash.
There is nothing wrong with that. I don’t need to follow them, and they don’t need to restrict themselves to content that is always safe for me.
So, what I’m saying here is, while fandom in general is not your safe space...
You can make your personal experience safe for you, and that is a good and right thing to do.
