I think Cedric and Calamus should be friends and join the club of teenagers with way too much weight on their shoulders because holy shit they deserve good things.

I mean, one of those small details that I always felt were kind of sad was that line Cedric has about not knowing Calamus or Alula... which makes sense in a way, because it was the Author who knew them better. And yet both Cedric and Calamus feel close in age and have similar personalities I am genuinely surprised they weren't friends.

And now considering their circumstances... Both of them need to be the proactive sibling, ready to react to situations that are beyond what teens like them should be doing.

We... never get told what happened to Rachis, although context probably tells us he was one of the NPCs lost to the squares. But even if Calamus and Alula were not aware of that truth, they're both still functionally orphans, and Calamus has made it his responsibility to make sure Alula is okay because she is all he has left.

Cedric is one of the few people aware of being in a simulation, and this by itself is already really isolating. Cedric is also the one responsible for... pretty much ensuring that Niko made it to the city and fulfilled their mission, having to make up plans as he goes. Not to mention the knowledge that his father is gone for good now, and the grief that is tied to it.

And besides all of this, I just really think that these two are alike in personality. Both are really polite, hardworking and responsible. The only big differences are their sets of skills and that Cedric is more willing to take risks on the spot, while I feel like Calamus would be more cautious in his place.

But gosh they could be good friends.

Hi. What's a Driving Theory test? I never learned to drive. (I'm 29 and disabled. I want to learn, but everyone on the road nowadays is terrifying. Phones are the main issue.) Is a Driving Theory test the written portion? Or, are there three tests to take now? I'm sure you'll pass everything. I believe in you!!!

Aw sweetheart, I'm sorry to hear you're in that situation. Roads are scary, indeed. I've almost been hit by others' cars or hit stupid pedestrians a few times during my lessons.

The theory test is like a pop quiz. In the UK it's done on a computer at a set location, to avoid cheaters. You get an hour to answer 50 multi choice question and 43 is what you need to pass!

Then there's just the actual driving test, which is what I'm pretty confident with by now 😁

First time writing for Dazai, so hope this is good!

It seems like you're under the influence of Thanatos. The desire of death; your untimely demise.

Something all too familiar with Dazai. However, his approach to the concept is different from yours. Well at least, in terms of how you'd like your end to be. His own methods have changed, but oh...some things just stay the same even after years have passed.

He thinks about how empty you must feel. What drove such a hole into that heart of yours in order to cause this need to have your short life ended. He'll find out that answer eventually; he always figures it out in the end. It's futile to even try to hide your true reasoning behind it. The kicker of it all being that you wish for Dazai to be the one to cut your life abruptly.

Something was wrong with this. No human being would want to commit a death that is by the hands of someone else. They'd rather do it by their own hand; to feel that sweet sense of control they never had in their lives. Why do you want someone to kill you? Well no matter, it is something he'll find out. He knows too well you won't give an answer. No person is ever honest when it comes to their darkest emotions.

Your attempts to annoy/surprise him, amuse Dazai greatly and he never takes them seriously...on the surface. He simply plays along and laughs like it's all a joke. Treats it like a game. "Oh! Nice try~ You'll have to be more stealthy than that!" Your actions are met with head pats or affectionately pinching your cheeks. You're adorable. Just like that silly little head of yours to even believe you can achieve what you want.

Those methods are in vain as he can clearly tell its you ever time you try to catch him off guard. You think just because these methods are a clear plead to be killed, they would actually give you what you want? Oh, you're naive. Dazai had already known your intentions. Everyone else could assume you are being silly, but he knows better. He's seen the glint in your eyes when you approach him with a new scheme. He's seen it before.

You're his darling after all. He knows you more than you know yourself. You want to know what does piss him off? That you want to leave this world on your own. Without him. Dazai internally scoffs at your attempts to ignite a strong reaction out of him, but they still amuse him as said before.

So let's get things straight, you are not going to receive what you desire, darling. Well, at least, not on your terms. One, you're not dying until Dazai decides it's time and two, it will be in the form of a double suicide. In order for that to be, you have to be on the same page as him. Don't worry though, Dazai has that all figured out. You'll eventually come around to the idea if you're initially against it. Wouldn't you rather see the experience of pure bliss on your beloved's face before you go? It's better than seeing resentment.

For now, you're obviously a danger to yourself, aren't you? It seems like you're at a point in your life where you simply have no control over it. The reins are no where to be found; hands feebly trying to grasp them. Someone else has to grab them for you. Whether you want it or not, that hole in your heart will be filled...with him. Dazai will make you see him as your reason to live. The absolute control over your life.

He smiles at the thought of it. What a lovely thing to think of. It will not remain just a thought though, as he plans to make that a reality. He will commend you, despite how foolish your efforts are, you certainly gave Dazai something interesting to work with. Things were going to be simple, but now a bump in the road is present. Even if it is a minor one. You're making things easier, but the good kind.

Challenging your perspective will be fun. Making you question what you initially believed will be a joy. Your original reason for the desire of death will change and Dazai will look forward to that. He looks forward to seeing you look at him like he's your lifeline.

Summary: Gojo refuses to believe Shoko isn't ticklish- so he convinces Geto to help prove her wrong. Things get silly.

Shoko Ieriri was without a doubt, a hundred percent ticklish. Gojo knew this like the back of his hand.

He…didn’t have any actual proof of this information, but the vibes were there- she had to be!

“You can’t just decide someone’s ticklishness based on a feeling.” Geto rolled his eyes when Gojo declared his theory, finishing off the last of his soda. “Besides- we’ve tried tickling her before, remember? She didn’t even react.”

“Well yeah- she wasn’t ticklish on her sides! That doesn’t mean she isn’t ticklish somewhere else!” Gojo was slumped in his spot beside him, arms over the back of the bench, his abandoned can of cola a delightful trap for bugs. “I bet she’s one of those people who you need to turn on their ticklishness- has that one spot that when prodded, it sets off the rest of them!”

“Or she could just be immune.” Geto reached across him, stealing the remaining cola before the local wasp could. “Some people are. Maybe it’s a reverse curse thing.”

“Yeah but anyone can learn that- hell; I bet I could!”

“Probably. Then you’d never be ticklish again.” Geto jabbed his side, making him spasm and scrunch. “Or it’d make it worse. It’s always so tingly when she does it- the whole healing thing. You can barely handle it.”

“She touches too softly, that’s all.” He fussed, cheeks dusting as he sank in his seat once more. Geto smiled around the can. He went to drink.

Without any warning, Gojo jabbed him in the hip.

“GE-AH!” The other boy wheezed, soda spitting everywhere as he coughed and choked.

“That’s what you get. Now- are you gonna help me or not?” Gojo raised a brow, eyes dancing when Geto glared at him.

“Fine. But first- I’m gonna kick your ass!”

“Hey.” Shoko waved at Gojo as she walked in, kicking her shoes off by the door. “What’s up, Satoru?”

“Hello, my dearest Shoko. Please- come in and have a seat.” He waved his hand in a flourish, the table a semi-organized mess of notebooks, pens, textbooks and snacks.

 The medic made a low sounding whistle, brows raised at the spread. “And here I thought you were full of shit about studying. Bummer- I was looking forward to goofing off.” Shrugging, she came over and took a seat, immediately grabbing a bag of sour cream chips. “Where’s Suguru?”

“He’s running late- likely talking up some pretty girl in town.” Gojo leaned into his hands, eyes dancing. “Can you believe it? He actually has admirers!”

“Jealous?” Shoko smiled around a chip, earning a tongue stuck out at her.

“Please- I’m simply too hot to handle.” While he talked, his eyes found Geto’s looming shadow by the hall, waiting for his cue. Time to get this show on the road.

“So, Shoko darling. What would you say are the biggest drawbacks of your curse technique?” Lead her in- nice and slow.

“What’s with all the darlings and dearests? Are you practicing for Suguru?” She tilted her head at him before growing thoughtful. “I guess the biggest drawback is fatigue. Reverse curse technique- it takes a lot out of you.”

“Ah, I see. What else? I’m curious!” Gojo leaned in, fully engaged. Geto moved closer in steady paces.

“Knew you were full of shit. Hm…well, it’s a high demand technique, so I’m always busy. And I suppose walking in on gruesome sights is another bummer. Oh- and my friends try to use it as a distraction technique to get the jump on me.”

Geto froze- face blank. Gojo’s glasses drooped.

Silence.

“Suguru, do it!” Gojo cried before anyone could move.

“Right! Take THIS!” Geto shot his hands into her armpits, wiggling his fingers.

The reaction was…

“Ah. So you’re still trying to tickle me, huh?” She blinked at him boredly, something amused in her smile at Geto’s blank stare. “Go ahead- I already told you I’m not ticklish.”

“T-There’s got to be somewhere! Here?” He tried her neck. Shoko merely rolled it to the side.

“Here?” Gojo scrambled around the table, squeezing her hip.

“It’s got to be bad here!” Geto pressed into her ribs.

“This is a good spot!” Gojo poked her belly.

“Oh ho ho. Please, guys stop. I’m soooooo ticklish.” Shoko snickered, unfazed by their antics. No matter where they touched, she was unmoved, finishing off the last of her chips. “I can’t handle it. Please, don’t.”

“My god.” Gojo sat back, wide eyed and mildly spooked. “She’s a god.”

“Unfazed and untouched.” Geto put his hands on his hips, shaking his head.

“Praise me.” She flexed, satisfied. “My turn- which one of you got the bright idea?”

“Satoru.” Geto wasted no time.

“T-Traitor!” Gojo cried, scrambling back just as Shoko went to grab him. “He helped though! Get him first!”

“Nah. I like tickling you more. You make funny noises.” She dived, grabbing his ankle as Gojo tried to wiggle free. Within seconds she was upon him, sitting by his hips as her fingers worked along his torso. “See what I mean?”

“Aheahhahahahhahahha! S-Shohohohohohokoohohohohohooho! Gehahahahhahaa, nohohohohohohohohohoohoo!” The pale haired teen was a mess of giggles almost immediately, flopping like a fish out of water as he batted at her hands. “Dohohohooohn’t tihiihhihickle mehehehehehehehe!”

“Heh- I tried to tell you, Satoru.” Geto snickered, eyes falling to Shoko as he watched her work. She was sitting on her knees, socked feet tucked under her butt as she carried on pinching Gojo’s waist.

…..Hm….

Without any warning, he dragged a finger down her sole.

“AH!” A sharp squeal shot out of her mouth, full body spasming at the feeling. Geto stared, brows raised. Gojo was equally stunned, staring at the reverse curse user with equal amazement.

“Oh my GOD! I freaking knew it! You’re ticklish!” Gojo cackled, pumping his fist in the air like a happy child. “Shoko’s ticklish! Shoko’s tickli-EEHEHEEHEHE!”

“Eh. So I am- but you’re more.” She grinned, prodding the terrible spot along his lower third rib. “See what I mean? Funny noises.”

“AEHHHAHAHHAHA! SKEHEHHHEHHEHE! SUHUHUHUGUHUHHUURU HEHEHEHEHELP!” Gojo cried out, flailing his hands for mercy. “GEHEHHEHEHT EHHEHEHEHEHEHER!”

“So demanding…” Geto grinned before shuffling over, hands raised and fingers clawed. “Here I come~”

It was safe to say Geto tried.

The moment his fingers touched Shoko’s foot, she all but flailed, arm swinging backwards and knocking him sideways. Before she could check on him though, Gojo all but leaped across- tackling a groaning Geto and going right for the hips. 

"SAHHAHAHAHTAHAHHAHRU YOU SHIIHIHIIHIT!"

"Hehe, gotcha Sugu-EHEHEHEH SHOKO!"

"Hehehehehe~"

More antics ensued. A foot connected with Gojo’s stomach- likely Shoko’s, one of Geto’s curses came out (“Let’s kiss!” “GET THE HELL OFF ME!”) and the little table of snacks and books that weren’t even real textbooks went tumbling over with a kick.

When the dust finally settled, the three of them were spread out across the carpet of Gojo’s apartment, giggly and exhausted.

“Heh…hehehe..new ruhuhle. No suhuhuhuhmoning curses.” Gojo declared, earning a tired round of “Hurrahs” from his friends.

“Ihihin my defense- I was gohoing for the hahands.” Geto huffed, rubbing his jaw with a snicker. “That’s ohohne hell of a right hook, Shoko.”

“Heh. Bet.” She sat up, patting herself down until she found her cigarettes. “I’m gonna take a smoke break.” She reached out, pressing her fingers into his cheek until the bruise was no longer there. “Sorry about that.”

Once the door shut, Gojo grinned, raising a tired hand. “Told you she was ticklish!”

“She’s also violent when tickled.” Geto rolled his eyes, slapping it anyway. “Was it worth it?”

They sat there, reflecting for a moment. Her laugh was so….gremlin-like. Snickery and snorty, shrill at points. Completely different than you’d expect from her…

“Worth it.” They nodded.

How did the Author disappear? (OneShot theory)

Spoilers for all routes of OneShot ahead. Don't read if you haven't finished it!

Part 1: Before his Disappearance

- A few things we know about the Author's life before disappearing are:

• He created his children; Rue, Cedric, and Proto, in the Old World.

• He was friends with Rachis (who deserves his own post) as well as the Great Prophet, and his son became friends with the two's children; Alula and Calamus.

• He created a music box (which, I theorize is the in-universe equivalent of the song 'Solstice') as well as flying machines, and of course, his most infamous invention, The World Machine.

That invention is the single best clue we have as to how he disappeared.

Part 2: The Author's Disappearance

• In OneShot, Silver describes her friend who was willing to enter the Tower and study it; this is implied to be the Author. Outside of the screenshot she refers to this figure as 'he' and implies that he disappeared soon after. (Now, her saying that 'he never told me if it went anywhere' can definitely just mean he never told her what happened, but it may mean she never saw him again.)

• We also learn on the Solstice route that the Author was the real person who's consciousness was used to allow the World Machine to continue, which is a really nice metaphor for artists and their creations; as he is literally the Author, but for lore it's also valuable. We know how it happened, where it happened, and roughly when it happened; the Solstice route reveals that the sun disappeared before the simulation was activated.

• On March 20th, 2017, when the countdown in the Refuge reached zero, the Author himself left a physical message to Rue inside of the building where the big clock was. This is nothing special, as he sends us messages during the playthrough, but him talking directly in a physical way with the characters is pretty novel. However, the interesting bit is that the balcony outside of this room plays the track 'Sonder.' 'Sonder' shares a leitmotif with the Author's theme, and the Author's room is revealed to be inside of that building in Solstice. So, we can safely assume he's been essentially trapped inside of that room, he can communicate with his children and the Player from there, but he isn't able to just walk around and greet Plight during his elevator shift or something.

• With all these factors, I think I have a pretty decent explanation as to just what happened to the Author.

Part 3: What actually happened to this dude?

• The Author appears to have fallen into a sort of 'limbo' state after his sacrifice. He's able to speak indirectly with people, and his books and legacy live on in memory, but, as stated before, he's not able to physically walk around the World Machine. He seems to have taken on an existence nearby the World Machine, able to access it, but he himself is not inside of it. Even 'real' people like Niko and the Author's children are all stuck inside of the World Machine once they enter it, (unless they fulfill certain requirements, such as Niko with the sun,) but the Author's office is quite literally a few steps away from the purple monitors of the World Machine itself.

• I'd call it a symbiotic sort of relationship, where the Author is essentially a remora fish attached to a shark. Nearby, able to technically touch the shark and communicate with it, but not able to actually enter it.

cinnamon!! got any predictions for mikoto and kotokos trial 2 cover songs?

so embarrassing that i was like "aw i wish i could think of something else to post for today" and then i shot up like a bullet going "OH NO WAIT I RECIEVED AN ASK!!!"

um uhm well. hmm. my track record for this has been 1/3 so far so i'd like to see how wrong i am! i don't think these two could get robbed out of any specific cover.

there's tons of different mikoto options i've seen and i want them all tbh. horrid that we're only allowed three when he could easily do so many more... in my perfect reality he protected mahiru from the yandere allegations and covered psychogram himself.

although, funny story with mikoto is that i was discussing potential covers with gunslingr and they said "i fear mikoto will have a chimera cover" right before i said i hope he gets one. my face literally beat red it was soooo embarrassing!!!!

even if i'm still horrified over the memory, i'll still stick to my guns and say i'd like a chimera cover. is it deserving over other songs? absolutely not! but it feels right to me. the cover art depicting miku with three sets of one's—one yanking her hair, one grasping her shoulders, and one praying—really struck me as rgbkoto. especially with the different color palettes bathing one part of her in warm colors while the other is colder (there's a similar mikoto artwork i believe?) there's also the song's name "chimera" which relates to mikoto being made up of multiple identities stitched together instead of a singlet.

the song's theme of reinventing yourself for the sake of attention and hating it also really strikes me as mikotocore. i'm not too familiar with his story just yet but from what i've gathered he struggles with maintaining this easy-going facade in order to blend in with society.

off-tapic but i'm not sure if he works for a black company but... yes, it doesn't justify murdering an innocent bystander (yet) but i will be very upset on his behalf if that turns out to be true. the industry culture of stressing your artists out, making them work overtime, drinking themselves to death, paying them pennies, and then forcing them to maintain this happy-go-lucky attitude—it drives me insane! treat your workers better asshole!!!!!

sorry had to get that off my chest >< but back to the chimera cover! if the black company theory is true then it reads to me like mikoto urging himself to wear this sweet facade whilst loathing everything around him. as an extension of monopoisoner it also has the same "you" themeing and sexual undertones.

kotoko's a bit harder because my thought process is ❤️❤️❤️ she's so cool! she'll get a cool song! and that's kind-of it.

unfortunately my knowledge of deco is mostly locked into the mvs on his main channel and utaite rachie's cover so uhm. i'm sure there's older songs perfect for her as an extension of anti-beat but dear lord i do not know them. so uh, just going to off of "kotoko would sound so wonderful singing this!!"

i'm honestly not a fan of reversible campaign so i'd genuinely prefer if she got 118 or another high-energy song. but hm... it once again simply feels right to me. i feel like kotoko is powerful enough to grab me by the throat and force me to like the song through sheer instrumental change and vocals. rather than mikoto where i can connect him to the entire song, it's really only these two lyrics which strike me as kotokocore:

apart from that my absolutely copium cover desires would be theory of negativity, undead alice, ane ghost rule. i feel like those are deffo going to my/haruka/shidou but. but she'd totally slay them. god bless. alternatively for her t3 cover i hope she covers undercover it'd be iconic.

🖊 - OO okay this’ll be the fun one.. for this one we will be discussing! nadyas………. “lovers.” shes got three in her character arc that hold the most meaning to her both good and bad. those would be: y*orinobu (HUUGE) johnny (VERY) and r*ache (VERY and also painful!). if i for sure need to do a deep lore dive essay into the meaning of people in her life especially these three. but in essential the tropes to best depict them are for sure “mutual obsession inevitable downfall” for yori and nadya. “right person wrong time and rivals to lovers” for her and johnny. and! pain pain and suffering “tragic doomed lovers” for nadya and rachie <3

i found a crow feather with a bright pink rachis coloration, it goes all the way from the base to the tip of the spine and stays the same vibrancy throughout. im trying to figure out what caused this so far theories are avian pox or very young feather that was ripped out too soon? would any of my ornithology inclined followers be able to help me answer this question?

Despite his best efforts- the spider family within Natagumo Woods was…lacking. Even though he shared his blood with all of them, even when they all matched him in appearance and referred to him as “Brother Rui”, even when they did as he requested- it didn’t feel like the bond he craved. They did his every command like soldiers given orders: gestures that should feel loving in theory were stiff, and any games they played they always let Rui win out of fear.

He knew it was of his own making; this pretend family of theirs was never gonna feel right. Still- he needed them around for practicality. Having as many demons there meant food was never scarce, and it pleased Lord Muzan the numbers he reported back.

In the end of the day- he supposed it wasn’t all too bad, really.

For what he lacked in the forest, he unexpectedly gained at the castle.

“Come here!” Hands grabbed him from behind as Rui exited the main room. The Lower Moons had been summoned for their yearly quota, so he figured he wouldn’t run unto any of the upper ranked. “There you are, little spider! I’ve been looking for you!”

“L-lady Daki?” He yelped upon seeing her grinning face. Her hair was still stained black- she must have just gotten back from the district. “Can I help you?”

“I thought I told you before- drop the lady part! I hate it.” Something dark passed over her expression before she was grinning again, pulling him in her arms and spinning him around. “If you want to call me anything, call me Big Sister Daki! You’re only what- a few centuries younger right?”

Big sister. So many spiders in his forest call themselves that by his order, but they didn’t feel genuine. This…this did. “B-Big sister, Daki?”

“There you go! And Gyutaro- he’s your big brother. I’ll get him to go with it, don’t worry.” When she put him back down, he was slightly dazed- more so at the claim then the twirls she pulled. “As your official big demon sister- I want in on this whole game you got going on with Lord Douma and Akaza.”

“Game?”

“Yeah! They always play with you whenever you come by- I want to play too! We both do, right Gyo?” She grinned as her brother emerged from her back, landing on his feet with ease.

“Don’t speak for me so easily, Daki! But…yeah, I guess so.” He shrugged, eyes curious as he looked down at the wide eyed spider. “Why so shocked? Don’t like what you see?”

“No…No, that’s not it.” Was he hearing this right? Two moons willingly seeking him out to play! “I just..I guess I’m a bit happy.”

“PFFT! Just a bit?” Gyutaro laughed, slapping his knees as he doubled over. “I guess we aren’t as grand as the big three, are we sister?”

“That’ll change. Come on- I know a fun game!” Daki reached out, taking Rui’s hand in hers as they began walking to wherever. Rui felt his hand trembling some in her own, his reflection in the red polish of her nails.

He looked…alarmed, but also…happy.

With a hesitant move, he squeezed her hand back.

“Okay- this is the deal. You come right here…yeah, good. Now- stay still and close your eyes.” Daki brought his hands up to his face, using his sleeves for extra coverage. “Count to ten, and then look.”

“Hide and seek?” Rui asked behind the thick fabric of his sleeves.

“Not exactly. We call it ‘Bat Vision.’ The goal is to figure out where we are before we tag you, okay?” She squeezed his shoulders once before backing away. “Ready…go!”

“Erm…1…2…3…” As he counted, the smell of Daki’s perfume faded. Gyutaro must have returned to her back-he couldn’t hear or smell him either. There were no footsteps, no sounds at all behind his cocoon of sleeve.

“4….5….6…”

Was he doing this right? Were they nearby?

“7….8…”

Did they…did they leave? He wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

“9….”

Still no smell, sound, or indication they were near. They left. Rui felt his lip quiver.

“....10.” He brought his arms down, fighting off tears in the still room.

“GOTCHA!”

“AH!” Rui squawked when hands grabbed his waist, digging into his ribs. “Aheahhahhahahaha! Whahahahhat?”

“Like my new trick? Even demons can’t detect me!” Daki laughed from behind, pulling him back until he was squirming in her lap. “Even with all those spidey senses of yours! I figured you’d set a web up so you’d sense me, but you played fair!”

“Whahahahhait, yoohohohohu diihihiihihihdn’t leheahhahahhahve? Ahehahahhahahaha I tohohohohought yoohohoohohu juuhuhuuhuust ghahahahhahve uhuuuhuhp!”

“Pfft- like I’d do that! Where’d I go?” Daki rolled her eyes, something soft entering her voice as she carried on scratching her nails along his belly. “You really thought I’d leave you?”

“Ahehahahahahaha! Ahehahahahhahha, I dhooohohohn’t knohohohohohw!”

“Well- that makes me mad! Gyutaro- get out here! We got a spider to squish!” Daki called out, her brother running out from around the nearby corner.

“Oi, so little spider boy thinks we’d be asshats and leave him, eh? Tch, tch tch. Shameful.” Once there, he gestured for Daki to roll him over. “Come here- you little runt!”

“AH! Ahehahahahaha, nohoohohoohohooho I’m sahahahahhahharry!” Rui squealed as his feet were grabbed, Gyutaro wiggling along his kicking soles as Daki carried on pinching his ribs. “Aheahhahhahahah sthahahahahhhap, pleahahhhahahse!”

“Heh- alright, alright. Daki, reel it in.” Gyutaro scribbled a hand against Daki’s chin, making her jerk back with a short squeal. Rui slumped, arms around his belly as his skin tingled. “But seriously- you didn’t think we’d leave you behind, did you?”

“I…I did.” No point lying- they must have heard his voice crack while counting. “I’m used to people doing so, I guess.”

“Huh.” The siblings shared a look over him in silent conversation. Then Daki’s arms pulled him up so she could hug him properly, resting her chin against the top of his head.

“That makes you like us officially then. We’ve had people leave us behind too.” She squeezed him gently. “That’s why you’ve got us now.”

“Yeah. No matter what happens, we’re a trio going forward.” Gyutaro reached out, wiping a stray tear that fell down the spider’s cheek. “Unless a fourth guy shows up- then we’re a square.”

“Why the hell does it have to be a square? I say we’re a diamond! And also- what if she’s a girl?”

“You know what I mean! And besides- squares are better. They hold more things.”

“Diamonds are prettier.”

“Eh.”

“Oh you wouldn’t know good jewels if they were stuck up your-”

Rui giggled in his hands as the siblings argued, snuggled back into Daki’s arms with a happy sigh.

Just like that- his pretend family became a little more real.

Small food for thought. Most of us have by now noticed that there is a pattern with the dark sides names just like there is with the light sides in the fact that 2 out of the know 3 (ex or not) end with “us”, the outlier being Virgil in both groups as his ends with “il”.

Now I am all for the idea of his being different than everyone else’s for a reason and him basically being a “grey side” in th e middle that will help tie all the others together if my theory is true about all the sides eventually coming together in the middle rather than having “light” and “dark” as seen on my Janus and Roman post.

However, it should be pointed out that Virgils name is derived from anchient Rome just like Remus and Janus, and the poet he is named after was called “Virgilius” going by the nickname of Virgil in English. Virgilius would fit in well with the other dark sides ending in the same sound and having the same feel as Janus and Remus.

That being said there is another characters name sake that is from anchient Rome and ends in the correct sound “Romulus” but maybe I’m reading too much into things again...
