i think a lot of people mistake vegans for believing themselves to be "morally superior" rather than the actual, and very reasonable stance that IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION NOT TO KILL OTHER LIVING BEINGS, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT.

most of us can understand that it's stupid to wield "oh so you think you're morally superior" against any type of human or environmental rights activists because how do you even respond to that? sure? Because its NOT ABOUT MORAL SUPERIORITY. IT'S ABOUT NOT UNNECESARILY CAUSING HARM.

Also, an activist could be the most annoying, self righteous person on the entire planet, but their stances having NOTHING to do with that. An asshole saying "trans rights" doesn't mean you shouldn't support trans rights because an asshole said it.

PLEASE start looking at veganism like you look at any other form of activism and resistance, and consider what disinformation and propaganda you've been fed about it.

Our goal is to not only create a space where womyn’s stories are told authentically, but also to create a thriving community that motivates and uplifts womyn through direct action and media influence. This company will serve as both a beacon of truth and a support system for female people across the globe, offering content that highlights the female plight, sheds light on pressing social issues, and advocates for policy change that protects and prioritizes female people.

i'm not an expert on american constitutionalism, but i can see thru hypocrisy wherever it is and like...

i always felt uneasy when ppl advocated to "pack the court" because, my girls and gays, that's a boomerang. are you gonna support packing the court when the GOP is in the three branches?

but okay, otoh, conservatives are originalists and federalists when it comes to red states' rights to restrict reproductive rights vis a vis abortion, or when it comes to the 2A, homeschooling... but now watch them be basically centralists to implement anti-LGBTIQ policies, restrict trans healthcare, bolsonaro-style persecution of radleftism / marxism in higher education. just to intervene in blue states.

which is it, MAGA folks and christian nationalists, are you in favor of centralization or are you a states' rights small-r republican? is it the role of the government to tell people what to believe and what not to believe, or is it not? it's not a serious set of policies,... it's a right-populist power grab and identitarian reaction. but that also makes it flimsy and easy to tear down, though damaging it will be. the cultural war is going to bounce back and it's not gonna be pretty.

I am curious on what people's thoughts are about the application process. Do you feel like it's good as it is, or could use some adjustments? Please comment if you feel comfortable. (No guarantees the process will change, just want to collect data on what people think of it.)

If there is a lot of feedback on changing the process, I'll add more polls for that. My priority is keeping bad faith actors at bay, so I want to be careful about making any changes that increase leniency.

i dont talk in it, but i’m pretty sure radleft unity is active? it’s a radfem-friendly server that focuses mostly around leftism and feminism from what i’ve seen. has males in it though. the screenshot i posted is from a general political debate server

Can you be antifa without being a socialist/communist? I like a lot of the work antifascists do but I am not economically a socialist. Especially not a statecom. Im a socdem which i know many ancoms and "radleft" despise.

Of course you can!  Anti-fascism = being opposed to fascism.  No economic ideology has a monopoly on opposition to fascism and Antifa is a big tent where people with all sorts of political ideologies come together to fight fascism.To paraphrase a metaphor we heard recently, we can all argue about what kind of curtains to put on the windows after we’ve made sure the house isn’t being burned to the ground by arsonists.

Ngl sometimes people don’t have a right to make fun of “actually organized labor and universal healthcare are white cishet male causes” blue check marks bc they’ll go around and do the same thing just the hard SJ version (which can be seen as the predecessor of the former) sometimes with a radleft flavoring. god i remember even not even a decade ago being in usa and trying to explain to hip radik00ls that people who get charged with crimes and people who actually are bad are not at 100% overlap and it is wrong to label people with subhumanising epithets like “criminal” and deny them basic rights and dignity and even these self proclaimed radlefts weren’t getting it and now bernie’s just out there like the messiah of democracy getting even the most milquetoast centrist old guard democrat signing off on it. you did good bernie. you did real good
