i think a lot of people mistake vegans for believing themselves to be "morally superior" rather than the actual, and very reasonable stance that IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION NOT TO KILL OTHER LIVING BEINGS, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT.

most of us can understand that it's stupid to wield "oh so you think you're morally superior" against any type of human or environmental rights activists because how do you even respond to that? sure? Because its NOT ABOUT MORAL SUPERIORITY. IT'S ABOUT NOT UNNECESARILY CAUSING HARM.

Also, an activist could be the most annoying, self righteous person on the entire planet, but their stances having NOTHING to do with that. An asshole saying "trans rights" doesn't mean you shouldn't support trans rights because an asshole said it.

PLEASE start looking at veganism like you look at any other form of activism and resistance, and consider what disinformation and propaganda you've been fed about it.

i dont talk in it, but i’m pretty sure radleft unity is active? it’s a radfem-friendly server that focuses mostly around leftism and feminism from what i’ve seen. has males in it though. the screenshot i posted is from a general political debate server

been internally meditating on something that i think should be shared. its probably been said before, but bear with me.

when i say "(x nonmarginalized community) doesnt get rights," its not cause they dont deserve them or cause i think we should take them away, *its cause they already have rights.* its specifically saying "i give these rights to the people who need em more, if you already have em go home."

i find that a lot of right wing peeps will jump to the conclusion that *their* rights will be taken away, when actually, most of what the left wants to do is level the goddamn playing field. its akin to the right asking for seconds and thirds on dinner when most people havent been served yet.

just. as a radleft person, i find it truly ridiculous that the right doesn't seem to understand that people deserve, well... rights. and the problem is they so highly outrank us in sheer politcal power that its actually putting all people on the margins in danger.

Of course you can!  Anti-fascism = being opposed to fascism.  No economic ideology has a monopoly on opposition to fascism and Antifa is a big tent where people with all sorts of political ideologies come together to fight fascism.To paraphrase a metaphor we heard recently, we can all argue about what kind of curtains to put on the windows after we’ve made sure the house isn’t being burned to the ground by arsonists.

Ngl sometimes people don’t have a right to make fun of “actually organized labor and universal healthcare are white cishet male causes” blue check marks bc they’ll go around and do the same thing just the hard SJ version (which can be seen as the predecessor of the former) sometimes with a radleft flavoring. What do you think RadLefts homelife is like based on that one glimpse we got into it? I think the home itself is meant to be a "one half is completely this, the other completely that" design but I think it'd make more sense (and be more fun) if each room were divided like that individually

ok in terms of their homelife ive put way too much thought into why they play the board game. things like watching tv and most hobbies require a single focus, so unless they have the same taste in hobbies/tv/music that would be difficult (based on the appearance of the home i would say absolutely not). i could say that maybe they do watch tv but theres no way there wouldnt be commentary from whoever didnt pick the channel. same w reading if you take right wing’s bookcase into consideration. IMO? playing board games might actually just be what they do. on a dumber note im sure they also have to spend a decent amount of time cutting and sewing all their clothes together JKKSJF

other notes ive made about their living room - they both have plants (lefts are dying, same with the hedge in front of the house), right wing has a huge bookcase, radical left has shitty grafitti all over. i know it just comes with the character parody but obviously their aesthetics are important to them - recreational interior design?

the rooms being split on their own DEFINITELY makes more sense. having a whole side of the house for both of them doesnt make sense to me? they dont have the whole “flip a coin” thing like two face, so why would they spend time in a room specifically for one of them? (to be honest - i dont really think radical left is very much like harvey/two face at all. right wing and radical left seem to be relatively civil - venture bros does have this theme of enemies-have-reached-a-point-of-casual-interaction) 

tldr i totes believe that radical left and right wing just like board games and all their rooms are split down the middle because their aesthetics are too essential. 

i really hope jackson and doc give us a bit more of him - esp since they said before that they like his character. phage and he are the only 2 members of the council right now that we have really limited knowledge on (and phage is comatose/out of commission)

god i remember even not even a decade ago being in usa and trying to explain to hip radik00ls that people who get charged with crimes and people who actually are bad are not at 100% overlap and it is wrong to label people with subhumanising epithets like “criminal” and deny them basic rights and dignity and even these self proclaimed radlefts weren’t getting it and now bernie’s just out there like the messiah of democracy getting even the most milquetoast centrist old guard democrat signing off on it. you did good bernie. you did real good
