Got around to doing some pixel art. (Been a while since I last touched this medium). Anyways have some supposed spite art cause guardians were slept on (once again) during artmonth. (Its a little late but whatever)

Also props to @muckiemotay for the pixel art brush. The method ended up working fantastically.

Introducing! Momo and Guardian as Scavengers!

(pretend I didn't spell Guardian wrong in the pic) It is actually kinda hard to turn the companions into scavs- mostly because it's the clothing that makes up a main part of their design... and well not sure if it is even possible to make cloth beyond the explosive kind in rain world. I had to make an exception for Momo, cause they seem like the kind of guy to learn sewing in order to have their hawaiian shirt even in another universe.

Hats and Birds

ALSO the most frustrating thing is that these two have hats- and like- I just decided to mimic the shape of the hat with their horns. I took some inspiration from birds, Momo being a humming bird(colors) and Guardian being a canary (idk my mind went to how canaries were used in mines to detect carbon monoxide, cause they'd be the first to be effected by poisoning. So, I saw yellow on Guardian and remembered how they would be one of the first in line of defense against the rot and would probably die first- which is a bit grim).

Guardian is a master of explosives.

Also yes Guardian is actively wearing explosive/flammable fabric. Whether or not it is actually cannon I'd imagine the fabric being explosive itself or just a catalyst. But basically it is extremely flammable and upon meeting high friction would catch aflame. Gaurdian has already been burned because of this, but at the same time it has prevented creatures like daddy long legs from killing them, because they're essentially a walking firecracker, and so they'd instead be dropped a little worse for wear, but alive.

It is very possible I may change these designs in the future, but only time can tell.

This is Gaurdian of Ancient Relics an old Iterator that his local Group is worried and is trying to reach. All forms of communications has gone down and his can is left in ruins, his puppet... is no were to be found as it seemed to have been forcibly ripped off the arm. When the Ancients were still around Relics was built near the ruins of a civilization from before the Ancients were around and his main duty was to do research on pre-ancients civilizations and protect there ruins and even a hidden cave passage that leads deep into the depths of the earth.

A spooky start to October (pt. 1)

Core: Okay lets get this show on the road Wanderer knows its October and I haven't been able to contact him for a bit all he told me was to send a email to his assistant to prepare a meeting. So I am just as much in the dark as you dear viewers and those working under the Wanderer

*in one of the meeting rooms with in the walls of where ever The Wanderer works sits Lily Todd, Guinevere, Lurex and on a wall is a screen with the Ever Ticking Clock*

Lurex: So... are we here?

Guinevere: Girl your guess is as good as mine. I hate how the Wanderer tells us nothing at times

Ever Ticking Clock: He could be messing with us it wouldn't be too odd for him

*Lily Todd smiles fingers neatly interlaced before her*

Guinevere: There is something you aren't telling us

*Lily Todd's eyes glow green*

Hope and Lacey, as well as a small pastel pink kobold with motor oil on their skin and overalls, a teenager in a black bicker jacket, black cargo pants and skull t-shirt, and a meek looking doctor or researcher with thick round glasses.

Lilly Todd: ah perfect timing Joey you are right on time

I'm now in the Subterranean-Area of Rainworld. But I think I might take a detour back up a bit again. Because I lost my Lightstone and it's really dark in there. Plus I'm losing a lot of Karma-Levels due to stumbling around in the darkness and getting killed by Lizards. I won't be able to enter the Depths with less than 10 Karma :/

Rain World's environment was partially inspired by Seoul, when Joar was an exchange student there (mentioned in an interview). There's documentation in the discord on the symbols and iconography in rainworld, including how the guardian's abacus symbols may draw inspirarion from Thai abugida. It's thought that there are two separate languages or at least ways of writing, based on the usual symbols that we see in achievements– these are the ones that Five Pebbles uses in his chamber. The other language is thought to be older, because moon in sm's route uses those symbols in conjunction with the standard ones, their usage is sparser and moon is confirmed to be an older model of iterator. The main downpour campaigns mix the old language symbols with the new ones for the achievements. sorry for the big chunk of text, but i wrote a paper that touched on rw's usage of symbols and unknown language and how it contributes to the feeling of a strange and unknown world

A cool artist named Jaga actually pointed out this document under my post, so I looked all over for this last night! I also found a bunch of other files containing more speculation about the passage symbols. I think the symbols usage is overall so impressive, and your mention of combining other glyphs with the Cyrillic-like symbols as an implication of an older language tied with the conformation of Moon being an older model completely blew my mind. It made me notice the use of the Cyrillic-inspired characters in newer Rain World achievements, which is always neat to know (for example the shin-like symbol (ש) in "The Champion" and a bunch of more Korean-inspired symbols in other achievements). Rain World always surprises me with new information that pops up about the game's inspiration/development. I didn't really found the time reading all the Dev-logs and listening to the interviews yet, so I'll love to listen to it too! Thank you so much for sharing this!

His campain Is after rivulets his goal is to find peace and protect others, he needs to get back to outer expanse and bring a special item that would only spawn in his campain after that he would need to get back to his iterator (which means there would be a new region)

Hes fast,tall and but has avrenge damage he has four spots in his hunger bar, he wears a vulter mask whit him everywhere most slugcats think that its a part of his body but noone really knows and he also wears a necklase whit bones on it.

He can hold three spears two in his arms and one on his tail just in case of an unexpected attack

His blood seems to be green and he has two diffrent colored eyes it doesnt appere that he has a mouth...

More amphibia rainworld au because im unwell about this show

Made this all up on the spot as i drew it. The core is an iterator, and andrias is a leviathan eel hybrid thing. Oh, also, i didn't get to draw it, but the guardian is a void worm. Not 100% sure how thisll all work out, but im workin on it
