#rammstein conflicts
Note
I've seen quite a few times that the Mutter era was bad but what exactly was going on there? What caused it and stuff
Hi! I'm sure someone else has already posted about this earlier, but i can't really seem to find it, so i'm giving you my view of things here.
(Over the years (especially between let's say 2002 and 2010) several of the Rammstein members talked about it in interviews and there are several videos and transcripts out there.)
What imo basically happened that while making and recording the Mutter album, the Rammstein democracy was stretched to it's limit. And it all boiled down to Richard's ego and feeling of self-importance becoming too big and he tried to control the band. He insisted that things were done the way he wanted it, wasn't open to critique by the others, wasn't willing to change music he wrote for the songs. A massive burst of workaholicness, fueled by an equally massive amount of cocaine didn't help either. It was his way or the high way.
Initially when the Mutter album came out (to many, including me, one of their best ever), these things weren't immediately clear to the outside world, but over time, it became clear from veiled (and eventually not so veiled) comments, that the atmosphere between the bandmembers was at an all time low, especially (but not just) between the guitarists there was no love lost. Although in some interviews there were hints that it wasn't just as black and white as Richard was wrong and all the others were right, and Paul i think also took some of the blame in saying that he wasn't always the most cooperative either, eventually over time also Richard himself acknowledged that the way he acted was the trigger for the fall-out and arguments.
In the Rammstein democracy it is almost never the case that it's always the same people on one side of the argument and the same others on the other side, the factions often shift depending on the topic at hand. But in the Mutter era conflict it is generally believed that only Till was still on speaking terms with Richard, and was likely the one who kept the band together. Till is not imo one to like heated discussions, and Till and Richard go way back, both professionally and in private. Paul is definitely on the other side of the argument, despite his sunny sweet easygoing guy image, Paul is a very determined person, no pushover and always ready to speak his mind and fight for his opinion. Schneider is generally believed to be on Paul's side during the Mutter years, although he is also known to be a mediator between the two guitarists when things overheat again in later years.
The argument had long shadows. With every further album the others feared Richard would start acting out again, and Richard feared the discussions and critique of the others. Some stated in interviews years later that they would out-veto or throw out something Richard made, just because it was Richard's idea. Not a healthy reaction maybe, but an understandable one. Richard often turned to Till and played the music he came up with first to him, knowing that if Till got inspired by a piece, and came up with a lyric to it, he would have a better chance of getting his songs past the Rammstein quality board. Powerplay really, but it is what it is, and the way it worked for years after.
They all lament after each album how difficult it is to work with the Rammstein democracy, but none more than Richard who after every single album stated in interviews that this would definitely be the last Rammstein album, because it was just exhausting. Fortunately he always changed his mind (that's the thing with Richard, he usually means it when he says it, but changes his mind pretty quickly), and there was always another album.
It wasn't until much later, i think in 2017 or 2018 that Paul mentioned in an interview the 'great chemistry right now and we love eachother more than ever', and the fact that in 2019 the Untitled album was released was a surprise to many, because many fans thought a new album would never happen. Ofcourse Richard still stated in some interviews that it would be the last, but traditionally we fans knew to ignore that and just rolled our eyes, and indeed by now we have another album, Zeit. Funny enough, of all the interviews that i read with Richard after Zeit, he didn't mention it would be the 'last' Rammstein album...and i've read many of them 🌺
The Mutter years, and Richard's huge creative drive to come up with new music, imo lead him to create Emigrate. In Emigrate it's all Richard's way, he decides everything, he chooses with who he wants to work. It also gave him a chance to work with other musicians he admired like Lemmy, but the urge to create and not be reigned in is at the basis of Emigrate. The others in Rammstein at first were weary; was Richard starting his own band and leaving Rammstein, especially when Richard wanted (and did) to invite Till to join on a few songs. But in the end it did help to balance things out. Richard gets his way in Emigrate and is more cooperative in Rammstein (still not an easy guy, but they manage it better now). Flake mentioned in one of his podcasts Richard being so prolific, coming up with so many ideas, it was just too much for one band; so i wouldn't be surprised if the others eventually felt the same.
again, my 2 cts, for what it's worth

It's fascinating how the 2 people Richard disagreed with the most during Mutter drama are now the 2 people he's most affectionate with in public. Schneider and Paul.
Not to say that he's less loving with others, but with those 2 he really goes in for all the hugs, squeezes, and kisses.
Hi 👋🏼
From what we know from interviews, it really did seem to be Paul and Schneider who disagreed with Richard the most during the exhausting Mutter recording - even though the process seemingly took its toll on the whole band. Paul and Schneider mentioned this period in some of their interviews; I must admit, I always have the feeling that Paul is trying to sail around this topic a bit, staying rather vague, while Schneider pretty much is going all in and is very open about the conflict and his opinion about it. Here are two statements of them both:
Schneider in the infamous 'Rock Hard' interview together with Richard from 2004 (Richard really tries to take responsibility in this interview and it's overall a bit painful to read):
'But, starting with "Sensucht", the guitarists began to work at home, using a computer. And when we learned about these passages, there was nothing to add, the music was all ready Guitarists did all the work, and we could not add anything! Moreover, if we wanted to change something in the compositions, the guitarists refused, so they were obsessed with them. [...] we rehearsed as five, without Richard, in the same place, all together. It was great. And then once Richard came back, there was a little tension and one thing lead to another. [...] We reached the limit when it became impossible to mention the name "Richard" without adding an "idiot" or "asshole’ ! It's strange that there were no personal complaints. But as soon as it came to music, Richard was the last person we wanted to listen to. He needed a good lesson! [...] Richard was a wall against which we could not fight.'
Paul in his section of the 'Rock Hard' interview:
Does your statement mean that you had little fun working on 'Mutter'?
Yeah, 'Mutter’ really wasn't that much fun. The famous third album, as the saying goes. There were also personal reasons. After eight or nine years, the balance of power had shifted within the band. It actually happens in every band that Ritchie Blackmore quits because he can't go on with Jon Lord anymore. For years their friction was refreshing for the listeners, but at some point it gets on everyone involved so much that one has to drop out.
But nobody left Rammstein.
No, not that. But we also had gossip and stress between two people because of competence difficulties as well as over- and underestimation. We had to reorient ourselves. It also cracked. But — I knock on wood! — we got through it well, so we could work on the fourth album with fun.
You certainly don't want to mention the names of the two.
Correct. It can happen to anyone, because everyone is unreasonable from time to time.
We don't really know how the relationships between Richard and other members of the band were strained at that time (at least Till seemed to be on somewhat ok terms with him), but for Paul and Schneider we have "proof" that it was hard on them - so it's even more heartwarming to see Richard being cuddly with them! They overcame their difficulties, put a lot of effort in patching things up because the band was important to everyone. And it's nice to witness this in hugs and affection 😌🤍

"Only in a diary you can trust honest, hard confessions: 'I've always tried to live in an ivory tower, but a sea of shit is hitting its walls.' In addition to the struggles of German-German integration, it was the Gulf War at the beginning of 1991 most of us have erased from our memories in view of other conflicts, but which Gitta Lindemann's diary brings back to mind.
In these times of upheaval, she is always motivated and strengthened by her granddaughter Nele's honest, naive approach to life: 'If the GDR no longer exists, will we have to move?'"
"In recent years, Gitta Lindemann has written a number of sad, sensitive texts that describe topics such as loneliness, illness and death, although much of it hardly seems alienated.
Here she often touches the soul, for example when she describes the last hours of her husband's life, from whom she lived apart but to whom she was so close: 'We washed and dressed you. Your son tapped you on the chest - hey old man, he said, very despondent and we both cried. I couldn't watch them carry you away, so I cowardly sneaked into the garden.'"
"Speaking of son, speaking of Till Lindemann. With "Declaration of Love to My Son" the mother dedicates her own text to him, which shows the often martial-looking Rammstein frontman with his sensitive side, as a "family guardian", who picked up his grandmother, in a wheelchair for Christmas dinner and fed her in his Mecklenburg home, his "source of strength". 'If I didn't happen to be his mother, I would like to be friends with this man.'"

Let's get a little bit silly shall we?
Sonne by Rammstein but it's about Germa's four princes. Jesus I feel like Vito, except I am a lot worse
Tumblr media
I especially see a lot of Ichiji in there as he would be the leader and his powers match lyrics the best.
Obviously it would take place in 'Sanji is as fucked as his brothers' AU or 'he just never left but earned his place as the third son despite his emotional condition' AU because without him it would not be complete.
Alle warten auf das Licht Fürchtet euch, fürchtet euch nicht Die Sonne scheint mir aus den Augen Sie wird heut Nacht nicht untergeh'n Und die Welt zählt laut bis zehn
We are on some kind of battlefield. It's dark. It's messy. War. Dust is flying everywhere making it difficult to see clearly a couple of meters ahead. Two sides of the conflict are holding their breath.
Something is coming. One side is terrified, the other - hopeful.
Two small points of red light come through the fog. Then electricity cracks in the distance.
Suddenly a strong gust of wind picks up. All the debree flies back and reveals four princes in their raid suits that jump straight into attack.
Eins, hier kommt die Sonne Zwei, hier kommt die Sonne Drei, sie ist der hellste Stern von allen Vier, hier kommt die Sonne
The observer focuses on the princes, one after the other. Number three is the only one with different line because narrator knows that there is something special about Sanji even if he is not the focus. The army that is their target has no chance of retreat.
Ichiji is a force to be reckoned with. He is the sun. His eyes send deathly laser beams on the enemy. His fists are the same, they emanate light and they burn. Nothing and no one can hide from him. He seems to be unstopable and unbreakable. Nothing can kill his shine and he knows that.
That's mostly it, the rest of the song doesn't change much.
They are powerful, unstoppable forces of science and killing machines, the usual stuff.
But of course it wouldn't be fun if something didn't go awry. So in the part of the song where the female siren voice starts appearing in the background we see flashes to the future to some different place where the main characters of our story are struggling in a fight.
At the end, when the siren is the only voice you can hear, they lay broken in the rain, not able to fight or move anymore. One of them is falling from the sky, maybe Ichiji, looking at the bloody mess below, parts missing from his brothers' bodies as he also falls to his death.
The sun starts to shine through the clouds. The true sun came - someone better and kinder rid the world of the Vinsmokes.
Germa 66 is no more.
The end.

AFTG Playlist (in no particular order) PART 1
SPOILERS AHEAD
(I was bored so I decided to create a playlist for the AFTG series and their characters. From depression to calm to party etc. I will still write fitting scenes to it (if I have one). I’m always looking for songs to add to my AFTG playlist. Maybe you find a fitting gem
1. Run Boy Run - Woodkid (of course)
2. The Dreamer - Amigo the Devil (The King’s Men chapter 12 the scene between Neil and Andrew, (I read it in public with the song and almost had a breakdown))
3. Little Dark Age - MGMT (TKM after the kidnapping and Neil is on his way from the hospital to the hotel to meet the foxes)
4. Roslyn - Bon Iver (TKM page 353 Neil wants the answer to “This”)
5. You really got me - Oingo Boingo (while they get ready for Edens, especially in TFC)
6. What could have been - Sting (Neil gets kidnapped)
7. 9 Crimes - Damien Rice (either while this one specific scene in TRK (Thanksgiving by Nicky), or while Neil is on his way to the Nest and Andrew is at the psych ward)
8. I’m not human at all - Sleep Party People (TRK Neil gets back from the Nest and calls Wymack to get him from the airport)
9. Welcome to the Jungle - Novo Armor (the first roof scene between Neil and Andrew after he is off his medication)
10. Tear you apart - She wants Revenge (TFC the first time the monsters and Neil are at Edens)
11. Moon Song - Phoebe Bridgers (TKM after Neil got kidnapped and Andrew strangled Kevin, I just imagine him sitting there, staring off into the distance and grieving)
or
Ohne Dich - Rammstein
12. I hope that you think of me - Pity Party Girls Club (either the team on its way to a game or in TKM when the team takes the vacation after the kidnapping events)
13. Telephones - Vacations (pure vibes)
15. Mount Everst - Labrinth (while the Foxes play a game or while Neil antagonizes someone lmao)
16. Party up The Street - Miley Cyrus (big vibe)
17. Nutshell - Alice in Chains (that’s either a rooftop scene in TKM or the bus scenes on a way to a game, big feelings)
18. Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead (maybe the shower scene in TKM or the Foxes sleeping in a room together :) )
19. God Complex - VIOLENT VIRA (either while Neil gets tortured at the Nest or in the car in TKM or at Baltimore)
20. Ptolemaea - Ethel Cain (Happy 19th Birthday, jr.) That’s literally my favorite fitting, not gonna lie
21. Freaks - Surf Curse (the foxes)
22. Money trees - Kendrick Lamar (Matt and Seth)
23. Swimming Pools - Kendrick Lamar (the Foxes walking into the stadium and playing a game (maybe against the Ravens?))
24. Me and your mama - Childish Gambino (while Allison and Seth have like an on and off montage)

26. God knows I’ve tried - Kelsy Karter & The Heroines (the foxes ->
“I've been smokin', drinkin', lyin', cheatin' I've overpromised, but underachieved And I usually ain't afraid of nothing But saying this out loud terrifies me I've been breakin' hearts, stealin' cars Takin' shit to walk on Mars To never say sorry don't mean I'm not sorry Baby, I'm sorry, oh, baby, I'm sorry I'm sorry for the pain I've caused For all the moments I've gone and lost Don't you know I've tried to be good? ”)
27. The Wisp Sings - Winter Aid (Neil in the plane on his way to the Nest)

TMNT 2012 OC TIME
There’s a lot of weird things that happen in the universe of Tmnt. Mutants, aliens, living fragments of space that travel the galaxies at high speeds and have the ability to grant wishes, alternate dimensions, time travel-wait what was that 3rd one? Living space fragments? What?
This is Comet
Tumblr media
and she’s a living fragment of space that’s been floating in the earths orbit for over 18 years until she incidentally crash-landed in NYC after being pulled out of orbit. But she doesn’t know that, she woke up in a random alley way with amnesia from the crash, only remembering all of the knowledge she retained when she was in space (because of course she did, of course she doesn’t remember the most important thing about herself, why the hell would she do that).
All she knows is that she can shapeshift, she glows, she knows a whole lot of other stuff, and that 70% of the natural elements can harm/kill her. But she also about the invasion going on in NYC and the conflict happening between the Hamato Clan and the Foot Clan. And you would think that, because she knows all of the nitty gritty details behind the conflict, that she would wait for the turtles to return and join their side, right? NOPE! She joins the Foot Clan instead (idk girlie lives for violence and chaos). She doesn’t have much fighting skill besides punching, kicking, stabbing, slicing, and smashing, but she’s got spirit!
Extra stuff:
-that reference of her on the left isn’t a shifted form, it’s a skinsuit. It’s hard for her to keep a form for a long time so she just uses that when she isn’t doing much activity
-if you look at her closely, you can see small details such as creases in her rubber skin, stitches for mending tears, and some dark blue surrounding her sclera (it’s unsettling to look at so just don’t)
-she’s kind of dense, anytime a display of her wish powers are incidentally shown to her, she plays it off as some weird coincidence (unless it’s too weird, then she gets suspicious)
-her mood can change on a whim, she can go from having a good day to feeling the intense need to break something angrily to having a good day again in the span of an hour (ok maybe not on a whim, but you get my point)
-since she doesn’t remember her past, she comes up with theories of her own. Her theories include: runaway Kraang experiment, traveling alien from another planet, strange kind of super mutant, and space princess from another galaxy
-despite being (technically) a young adult, she acts like a teenager 70 percent of the time
-sometimes she’ll just pop out of nowhere when she goes to talk with her coworkers (it’s makes them jump every time and they hate it. Is that gonna stop her? Nope)
-she doesn’t actually need the glasses, she just likes how they look on her
-her playlist consists of Babymetal, Insane Clown Posse, Pierce the Veil, Utsu-P, Mitski, Slipknot, Rammstein, and various other songs from various other artists
-her favorite fashion aesthetic? All of them
This is all I can manage to post about now without completely info-dumping so I’ll talk more about her if y’all have any questions (I’ll see if I can open my ask box, if not then womp womp)

I’d like to be a fly on the wall when he’s creating songs with Till! They’re both very creative with a laid back attitude and I bet Oliver isn’t a fan of conflicts just like Till. Never read a single bad thing about any of them! Same for Paul, Schneider and Flake.
From what they have said in interviews, the band mostly rehearses without Till in the beginning. Once they have something, they bring him in to see if he can come up with lyrics and vocals that work with the music. So I don't know if Oliver and Till sit together that often.
Luckily we do have some examples of it though. The song Roter Sand was created by Oliver, Till, and Flake after they had drunk a bottle of red wine. While I'm not too big on the whistling part (even though I'm a fan of Jenny Rosemeyer), I absolutely love that song.
Ein Lied was another song created in such a setting. Oliver and Till made it in ten minutes in the rehearsal room, and they recorded the vocals and the guitar together, with Oliver playing.
Tumblr media
That said, I have often read that Rammstein are six men with strong personalities that do come out especially when they create music together. While some may be more stubborn than others, I am sure they have all had their moments.
Nonetheless, Rammstein have existed for almost 30 years together with lots of controversy, but without any major scandals. So I choose to believe they are good guys!

Gitta Lindemann - Meine Fensterplätze
Gitta Lindemann published her first book recently, in it she talks about the end of the GDR, her husband and her son Till. Article from Nordkurier.de 2023-10-23
googly translated
-‐‐-------
Rammstein singer's mother also writes a declaration of love to her son
It took Gitta Lindemann more than 80 years of life to publish her first book. In it, the former culture editor also writes about her famous son Till.
Gitta Lindemann belongs to an artistically diverse family. Her former husband, Werner Lindemann (1926-1993), was one of the most famous poets in the GDR . His poems for children were part of school reading at the time. The Lindemanns' son also writes impressive poems. Till Lindemann made a name for himself above all as the singer and frontman of the band Rammstein .
With Radio GDR since 1969
Gitta Lindemann was also always connected to culture through her career. After studying journalism in Leipzig, she worked for Radio DDR from 1969, including in the Neubrandenburg studio , for the popular Urlaubwelle in Rostock and for NDR from 1992. She played a key role in developing culture-oriented formats such as “Literati in Cross-Examination” (1987), the NDR Literature Café and “Kunstkaten”, which is still broadcast today.
But Gitta Lindemann has also written literary texts herself since the 1980s, which have now been published in the volume “My Window Seats”. It is the first book published by the author, who was born in Dresden in 1939. An apt title, as Gitta Lindemann takes the addressee to her window seat and opens up her individual view of the world to the reader.
Her favorite window seat was the view of the garden from the house in Drispeth, Mecklenburg, which the Lindemanns had purchased as a holiday home. “Here I see orderly life, how it arises, blossoms, passes away and reinvents itself again and again,” she noted on December 25, 1991.
Diary describes fears of the end of the GDR
The diary, which begins at the beginning of May 1990 and runs until January 2, 1992, forms the heart of the volume. Many former GDR citizens will likely find themselves here, torn between hope and hopelessness in the “wild” years between the fall of 1989 and the mid-1990s.
First the run-down SED dictatorship was swept away and just a few months later tens of thousands of East Germans were at rock bottom when it became clear that they would lose their jobs. “The defeated go to the victor,” wrote Gitta Lindemann bitterly in June 1991 in connection with the liquidation of the orchestra in Schwerin and the tire factory in Neubrandenburg.
“The sell-out of a country must be seen”
She too is gripped by fears for the future. From the beginning of 1990 onwards, she always expected to lose her job as a journalist from the GDR. At the same time, she describes exactly the upheavals a few months before German unification, such as the conquest of department stores by the new western goods before the introduction of the D-Mark: “The sell-out of a country can be seen. Dissolution of an impoverished household. The new residents have already brought the furniture: cans and blouses and T-shirts and yoghurt and coffee and Rama and people are running. I as well."
Especially in times like these, when East and West intellectuals are fighting for the sovereignty of interpreting the GDR more than 30 years after the fall, authentic memories like those offered by Gitta Lindemann are incredibly valuable.
Granddaughter always gives strength
Only to a diary can you trust honest, hard confessions: “I've always tried to live in an ivory tower, but a sea of shit is hitting its walls.” In addition to the struggles of German-German integration, it was the Gulf War at the beginning of 1991 most of us have erased from our memories in view of other conflicts, but which Gitta Lindemann's diary brings back to mind.
In these times of upheaval, she is continually motivated and strengthened by her granddaughter Nele's honest, naive approach to life: "If the GDR no longer exists, will we have to move?"
Sensitive lines about her husband's death
In recent years, Gitta Lindemann has written a number of sad, sensitive texts that describe topics such as loneliness, illness and death, of which much of it hardly seems alienated.
Here she often touches the soul, for example when she describes the last hours of her husband's life, from whom she lived apart but to whom she was so close: “We washed and dressed you. Your son tapped you on the chest - hey old man, he said, very despondent and we both cried. I couldn't watch them carry you away, so I cowardly sneaked into the garden."
Till Lindemann as family representative
Speaking of son, speaking of Till Lindemann. With “Declaration of Love to My Son,” the mother dedicates her own text to him, which shows the often martial-looking Rammstein frontman from his sensitive side, as a “family guardian” who picked up his grandmother in a wheelchair for Christmas dinner and fed her, for whom Mecklenburg is his home and “source of strength”. "If I didn't happen to be his mother, I would like to be friends with this man."
Gitta Lindemann: My window seats. With pictures by Rosa Loy and an interview between the author and the German scholar Carsten Gansel. Berlin: Okapi Verlag, 2023. 287 pages, 22 euros

*hands you an empty ask that allows you to talk about most beloved pretty men*
*walks away to watch Matrix on my laptop in my LOTR sweatshirt*
Hi 😌
Thank you for this! I will use this ask to present two little, very self-centered lists about my favourite old men, eventhough no one really asked for it ✨
First up of course my love, always:
5 Reasons why I love and adore Richard for almost 10 years now 🤍
1) His enthusiasm When it comes to his passion in music, Richard is extremely enthusiastic, regularly bubbling over with creative ideas, tries out different guitar gear to get the perfect sound (even builds his own tech equipment like the mic Roboter he shows here) and exudes just an intense drive for music. You can feel how much he thinks about the music he puts out, how much of a perfectionist Richard can be (a fact which sometimes makes things more complicated/tiresome) for him and how much joy he can find in work. Music even has a therapeutic effect to him, leading him out of his depressive episode in 2019. This man really burns for his passion and I love this enthusiasm 🤍
2) His openness It is clear that Richard had some problems in the past with drug abuse as well as mental health related, due to some conflicts in his past - depression, frustration and longing for appreciation accompanied him for a long time as he mentions in-depth here, and maybe still do. And he is outspoken about it, wanted to change things and actively looked for help! Things you need strength and courage for, and Richard allows himself to be openly vulnerable, like when he talks about it in interviews. It might be a reason why some people don't really like him or find him boastful and self centered, yet I can't stress enough how important his openness about topics like these is! It shows that yes, everyone can have problems, might have to deal with trauma for several decades and yet can overcome it. And this openness and honesty is something I find quite admirable.
3) His honesty and not being afraid to express his opinions Richard does not mice any words when it comes to express his opinions and thoughts on things. He is very honest most of the time; about how exhausting yet exciting work in a group like Rammstein can be, how much he dislikes certain things and cities, also about personal things like himself being quickly irritated by things, needing alone time to come to terms with feelings and impressions, about how much he can be a perfectionist and controll freak… Whenever you read an interview with him, you sooner or later are confronted with an opinion of him. And I think that's a way to get to 'know' him as a person a bit! This might sound 'closeminded' that he's so opinionated, but he's pretty much the opposite: for example does Richard express his dislike for German rap and hiphop (he clames he just doesn't understand these music genres) and yet he's always open to listen to tracks which others who him to get to know more about different music styles.
4) The courage to improve and reinvent himself Richard is not afraid of change, self growth and taking steps forward (away from bad influences) or trying out new things. From starting Emigrate as an additional outlet for his musical creativity to trying out different fashion styles and wearing what makes him feel comfortable - this man knows what he wants to do and wear, and goes through with it! We sometimes laugh about his questionable choices, yet he looks comfortable and has the guts to really be true to himself (at least he comes across this way), which is something a lot of people wish they could do, but are withheld from doing it due to thinking too much about opinions of others 👀
5) His cuddliness and cordiality This is something widely known and appreciated - Richard is a natural born hugger and enjoys showing his affection in a physical manner. In a world where showing affection and love openly as a male is still sometimes viewed as 'weak/unmanly', I just love how open he is about it! Plus he can be very warmhearted and appreciative with fans, too 🤍

Now on to:
5 Reasons why I fell in love with Hugo 🤍
1) His versatility I swear to God, 'versatility' is Hugo's middle name. The range of the genres he plays in, the range of the characters he plays is incredibly wide - from playing a drag queen to playing a ruthless AI agent to a fool in love to an elven lord to a bisexual business man to a smug detective to a crossdressing police officer to several classical theatre roles… I could go on and on. The reason for this wide range of roles is: he just chooses what interests him. Not thinking about what brings the most money or prestige, but choosing roles which speak to him on different levels; which are nuanced, have some sort of twist to them and are neither black or white, which is an important thing for him.
2) His devotion and calmness This man first met his partner Katrina when he was four years old, they got acquaintanted properly in acting school and fell in love in their mid 20s - and are still together to this day. He really is a proper family man, absolutely devoted to his partner (mentioning over the course of several interviews that one of the reason for him loving to work in Australia is being close to her and their kids). He's also very, very down to earth, quite modest and an overall a really positive sweetheart and loved by his actor colleagues - his close friend and an actress he worked with a lot Cate Blanchett once called him 'a god amongst men'. And this type of constancy and calmness has such an relaxing effect on me - sounds strange, I know, but this just makes him even more likable for me.
3) His outspokenness and support for important causes When I tell you that this man takes no shit and uses his voice for bringing attention to significant topics, I mean it. Hugo advocated avidly for marriage equality in Australia, slammed far-right movements and republicans (including Trump) for blindly using imagery from 'The Matrix' and 'V for Vendetta' for questionable causes and not looking further into the meaning of the movies and wants to raise awareness for men's mental health issues. He is also an advocate for epilepsy awareness, a condition which with which he was diagnosed with in his early teen years.
4) His voice and his use of it Hugo could read a phone book to me, I'd thank him on my knees and would pay my left kidney for it. He has a lovely voice, a quite calm way of speaking, a beautiful vocabulary (most likely also shaped by his work as an on stage actor) and way of describing things. Hugo can use his voice to really give his roles different levels and depth - he modelled the voice of Agent Smith after American news anchors and sounds so different than for example as soft spoken yet firm Elrond in 'Lord of the Rings' or ambitious and borderline aggressive Richard in 'The Dirtwater Dynasty'. Now you'd say "well, that's his job as an actor 🤨" but honestly, I've never encountered another actor who uses his voice so intensely.
5) His love for Australian cinema Hugo is not the biggest fan of Hollywood, which of course can seem quite contradictory considering the huge productions he was in. But he's extremely invested in Australian productions as well if not more, which he continuously supports and brings attention to Australian movies and culture. He's of the opinion that Australian cinema deserves way more recognition (even within the country itself) and is a great way to bring light to the culture and show the different sides of the country. It really is a shame that Australian movies aren't that much known most of the time - for example "Proof" (Hugo plays a blind man with trust issues) from 1991 is seen as an absolute classic by movie critics, yet not a lot of people outside of Australia have seen it.

Excuse me where are you guys reading this story? I'd like to make my own opinion but have no clue where to look. Also... since when has "guilty until proven innocent" turned into the opposite. I'd refrain from victim blaming until the truth comes out but hey that's just me. I'm also a fan but NEWS FLASH, your faves can mess up sometimes. Fans need to chill
Her story was removed from the Rammstein subreddit by mods.
With claims like this, there is rarely evidence that is solid enough to prove anything for sure. This isn't a court of law. If, for example, lots of women are coming forward about experiences of sexual harassment from someone, it's unreasonable to act like we should ignore these rumors until it's caught on HD video with surround sound.
She's been updating on her Instagram, but I'm conflicted about giving it out and sending harassment or something her way ...but...

Howdy! I was talking with my partner, and we realized that neither of us can think of a time when Till spoke out about the conflict during Mutter, specifically about Richard. It seems everyone has but we couldn't think of if Till had, which was interesting since I seem to remember he was the only one who took Richard's side. Do you happen to know if he ever said anything about the whole thing?
No Till never said anything about Richard except that he was a hard worker. Till never said anything bad about his Rammstein comrades by the way...
Regarding the recording of Mutter, Richard behaved badly and alienated the other members of the band, it was violent between them, even in their interviews for the promotion of the album, the most virulent reproaches coming from Paul and Schneider. But Richard understood that he was the problem and he worked on himself, he tried to change.
Till never spoke about this moment, so it's difficult to say what he thought of it or how he lived it, we know that he hates conflict, so he was certainly very saddened. But whatever he thought of it, he always supported Richard, he prevented him from doing more harm to himself, he consoled him, he encouraged him in his projects outside of Rammstein. Till has always been there for him.

Day 8 of Rammstein's Countdown to Halloween
Hellraiser (1987, dir. Clive Barker)
Tumblr media
When a box that holds the power to unleashes all the pain and pleasure of bother heaven and hell, a man who toys with it faces painful consequences and is left to pick up the pieces (literally since he was torn apart) with his secret lover who brings back unfortunate victims to their demise and use their blood to reconstruct him.
I actually really enjoy Clive Barker's work and despite it being horror beyond comprehenson, I find his stories like Candyman and Hellraiser can be so romantic in some ways. It's the way characters are written and how they treat and interact with each other , for example with how deranged lovers Frank and Julia interact, in fact their romance is what motivates them to kill (well, other than the fact that Frank needs skin). It's great story telling .
The makeup and effects are obviously amazing and one of the greatest things of this film of course.
The film itself can be very poetic at times and when it comes to the acting, especially with the cenobites (God, did I spell that right?), the lines are delivered with such grace and I think that really helps with the story's plot and really drives the tone and themes to a T.
The story in the end is what ties it all together and I really appreciate how it focuses more on what the conflict is and sticks with that while leaving a mysterious element to the box and demons themselves. You never wanna tell everything, you wanna let your audience put 2 and 2 together they say and I think this film does a perfect job at at.
I think this is definitely a film everyone should see at least once
