All random events made funny on purpose don't hold a candle to the ones that have been broken for almost 10 years and severely fuck you up because of it.

My Stardew Valley Joja run save went crazy. Or at least, in my opinion.

First night of 1st summer - a fairy appears and grows my melons. First deep dive into the caves lvls 25+ - I get spammed with ladders for lower levels and keep finding expensive stuff that I would normally look for ages and not be successful. Something that never happened before in single player - some NPCs suddenly can walk around when I'm in the middle of catching fish (they were always frozen for that period) as the surroundings move as well. (again, sometimes, not the whole time). I witnessed sea monster for the first time (and almost missed it as I was plugging my laptop in). And the weirdest of all, I just caught my first legendary fish. 13th day of 1st summer. And no, not the carp - it was Crimsonfish.

I don't know how common those are to other players, I know this was my first time. Kinda shame this save is getting deleted once I get my achievement for Joja run.

So I installed a random events mod, ala CK3, for Bannerlord. First it was cool. Now it's still cool, but I feel like the mod author's just fucking with me now.

Today in OSHA, the walls of the OSHA building spontaneously turn a variety of garish, eye-bleeding colors.

If someone reaches to touch one, the spot they make contact with change colors... Before slowly fading back if contact is not sustained, much like with a mood ring.

A fever of 38.6 for, like, two and a half days is not within normal human operating parameters and I do not recommend it as an experience. I probably should have taken it a bit more seriously but it's actually quite hard to take anything seriously when you have a temperature of 38.6

As for what in the world was going on in there... While the door is sealed and should be impossible to even hear what is going on inside...

Whatever she was doing was of such horrifying vibrance that the entire structure would violently quiver and shake. Its builders had expected something of great power, much like the one who had requested its construction more than age ago.

However, they definitely underestimated her successor... as she was quite literally messing around in there just to wreak havoc... like a malicious toddler with a sharp object in a bouncy house.

These trials had been rendered a worthless endeavor at her hands a long time ago... This was pretty much just routine to her at this point, and she'd likely obliterate the place like the others once she grows bored and ransacked it of its contents.

The explosion that would follow would far outweigh the former flashes of light... like a celestial dragon of pure white rising up to reach the stars, a winged being of pure light... a herald of a new dawn...

Then darkness returns just as quickly as it appeared as the mysterious entity of light returns to hiding yet again.

Evelyn would soon cover herself with a fresh cloak, pack up her things, take one last look at destroyed structure, and move on to the next one just like it.

She did wonder if anyone did see what she had done, but she would be long gone before they could find where she had been before.

we need to de-glamourize hollywood. impossible to hold an industry accountable when they are successfully selling the world a myth that it's a privilege to work for them (often for free, in insane conditions, while being forced to live in one of the most expensive places on earth). the glitz, the costumes, the fantasy, the parties, the paparazzi, all of it draws the public eye away from some very ugly realities.
