I love you Yosano, I love that you went and got an actual medical degree even after years of trauma to prove yourself as a doctor instead of relying on your ability which you hate, I love you Ranpo, I love your belief that a person’s decisions which make up their whole world regardless of outside factors is the greatest gift humanity has, I love you Kunikida, I love the correlation between your hatred of authority and your fierce desire for justice leading you to positions of guidance and help for those weaker in society, I love you Katai, I love the lengths you go to in order to show your devotion to those you love, I love you Fukuzawa, I love that your inner strength was strong enough to stop yourself falling further down into bloodthirst and desire for violence and the kill despite being completely alone throughout it

coworker ranpo doesn't seem that bothered when he starts getting your hopes up that feelings might be mutual. that just means you try to find ways to spend even more time with him than usual and he enjoys your company

coworker ranpo thinks you're smart enough to realise they're not mutual and that hope you have is only fleeting

See here. BSD is a story about how all of our characters were once children. How the scars and wounds and secrets of their past will always haunt them to the present. We see it with Chuuya, Yosano, Ranpo, even Odasaku briefly, Atsushi, Tachihara, Akutagawa, Kyouka and Kenji right now, even Kouyou just a little bit. They've all overcome it or they've allowed it to consume them. And yet that brief glimpse into a past where they were young and scarred shows us once again just how human they are...every criminal, ever person, was once a child wounded by or protected from the world and doesn't that count for something even if it doesn't excuse the atrocities they commit today?

Dazai can make good chazuke,finally beat the can't cook allegation ig

Immediately starting a pillow fight is so Ranpo

Kunikida has no resistance to Ranpo,like AT ALL.

immediately accepts Kenji swimming in onsen because Ranpo says it's ok

trying hard using various of swimming style to swim just because he doesn't want to ruin Ranpo's mood

not even trys to request Ranpo to do the cleaning work

Turning on a small light for Ranpo but tells Dazai to suck it up when he says he has to sleep in dark

Ranpo is probably the only one in ada brave enough to tease Tanizaki siblings' werid relationship adbsjsjdj

apparently Dazai's way of travelling is just floating down the river

Dazai softly calling Ranpo's name bfkdns i love them

The whole "open with each other" conversation is wild

Tanizaki is so traumatized by yosano's treatment that he has a panic attack when thinking about it💀

Atsushi wants to rub dazai n kunikida back because they always take care of him is so wholesome

Ranpo and Atsushi laughing and playing with rubber ducks is everything

It’s totally fine to dislike ships but I will never understand how some ppl make it their entire personality. You can’t ALL be the “#1 skk hater”

I saw NO ONE talking about this scene in the season 4 opening.

Let me explain. Both of them are alone. There is not Fukuzawa or Dazai after them. They are both the only ones having this type of scene, and in their scenes, no one is with them. Like how they feel. Ranpo feels alone in this world he considers as filled with "monsters" he just can't understand. And Yosano felt alone in this war, because she was the reason it kept going, and she was alone facing it because no one understood.

Ranpo opens his eyes, while Yosano closes her eyes. During approximately the same period (I think I'm not sure), Ranpo's life started from total hell and went from heaven , while Yosano it's the opposite. And you can even see it from where they are positioned! Ranpo is at right while Yosano is at left.

Plus, it somehow strengthens their friendships. Because no one is there except them. It shows that, even though they are opposites they complement each other.

Or maybe I'm just overreacting the scene like those english teacher who overreact to what the writer means-
