Goddess of Moon 🌙

In ancient Greek mythology and religion, Selene is the personification of the Moon itself. She drives her moon chariot across the heavens. Also known as Mene, she is traditionally the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun god Helios and the dawn goddess Eos. Her Roman equivalent is Luna.

Selena was chosen for this goddess for obvious reasons. Although I wished her name and meaning to gain more repercussions in the story :(

For the Taylor/Rebelcaptain ask, I was tempted to give you some softballs (Eyes Open, Cowboy Like Me) but I wanna see you stretch- I Bet You Think About Me, London Boy.

lmao okay so first the softballs

eyes open - to me this is very much giving cassian vibes, "two steps ahead and staying on guard" and of course he's a spy, he's the most observant star war blorbo so lbr he's always keeping his eyes open. but also the entire song is very trauma-related hypervigilance and our kiddos definitely have so much of that. and finally "nobody comes to save you now" of course doesn't apply to jyn but it does apply to all of rogue one since the rebellion didn't get its shit together in the first place enough to get a real, sanctioned mission on scarif. but for jyn, cassian does nothing BUT come to save her.

cowboy like me - TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE lmao I've written about how this is their song before but it's just giving two messy bitches colliding in the midst of a heist, or a mission in their case, and understanding each other so intimately because they're the same. I mean as captain of the good ship rc diego luna says, they're mirrors. PLUS like okay now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon with your boots beneath my bed forever is the sweetest con??? cowboy like me!rebelcaptain is the happy ending they were given at one point, with a wedding allegedly and definitely a kiss. but I just love the idea of them seeing each other and just knowing, oh shit they're like me.

I bet you think about me - well technically I said I could relate the songs to either cass or jyn as well as rebelcaptain but because you asked for rc specifically... hm. Okay "I was raised on a farm" is very much giving baby jyn with galen and lyra hosting "kitchen table balls" aka trying to keep their happy family together in some semblance of normalcy even on the run. You and I fell like an early spring snow, I mean cassian is almost immediately unhinged about jyn so 😂 and THEN mr superior thinking does feel like a jab at cass during their post-eadu fight, but of course that song only applies in individual lines, not like... the whole idea behind the song. cassian would never laugh at her dreams, but jyn did sort of give him a nearly laugh when he told her "rebellions are built on hope" so... there's stuff there. I consider this one a success.

london boy - I mean if you think jyn didn't get charmed by the dipples and I mean there's a lyric about joe's accent - no fetishizing of diego's accent here, still of course his voice is lovely. in the book jyn was horny enough to immediately start thinking of his conversational tone as being like he was talking to her over dinner and then she went looking to see if he had any proof of a wife in his bag so this is a hell of a stretch but it works 😂

So, as promised, I have two versions of the Rococo Hall (see the WIP notes here, here, and here) for you (download links at the end of the post).

Description:

The Rococo Hall enjoys wide recognition among the wealthy, cultured, upper-class elites throughout the Sim World. Here at this fine establishment, we proudly provide not just Michelin-level dining, catering, and ceremonial services, but a cultural experience of lordiness and excellency. Our conference hall has witnessed important events ranging from mayoral election fundraisders to St. Spleen Foundation annual charity balls, from sim-fortune 500 company year-end parties to the wedding banquets of some of the wealthiest sims in the world. You are cordially invited to our re-openning party with free champagne and cakes.

Both versions share the exterior garden and looks almost identical from the outside.

Version 1 is finished with a lobby, a two-storey dining hall, and a small(ish) multi-functional conference room.

Version 2 features a lobby, a dining room, a large multi-function conference/gala hall, and additional space for underground kitchen and other service rooms (the layout below omitted the ground level).

day 14/366

got done with my first prayer and fasting week for the year (and ever) !!

honestly feels so nice to be disconnected from things from time to time, especially since as the week progressed i used my phone less and less and ive been taking more time in my quiet time in comparison to before.

since the prayer and worship service starts at 730pm for the whole week everyday, now that it's done, i feel the need to continue doing something within that time slot that's spiritually productive, so i might take a walk outside a little later while listening to a devotional podcast or what.

with that, ive been walking luna most of the week, making sure to take our time as we did to appreciate the field, flowers and all (we brought home 4 kinds of fallen flowers this week) and that was nice

tomorrow starts a new week of productivity – i decided to keep my sundays acads free again while i have the freedom to do so bc internship would require me to be on duty even on sundays – and here's my plan for the week in no specific order:

research proposal #3

finish my pending notes from board review sit ins (i asked my friends who had respiratory care seminar 1 last sem what they tackled and funnily enough, what was discussed in the lectures i sat in for boards covered their whole sem on rcs 1)

go get a health insurance id as requirement for internship

watch some games of my brothers for their intramurals bc they insist (im v touched bc instead of being embarrassed being aged 15 and 18, they still want me/us to watch their games haha)

follow up on my subject registration (monday)

continue reading to kill a mockingbird

work out (m t th f st)

continue to study up on mech vent + other weak topics (pft, hyperinflation therapy...)
