day 8/366
today marks the first day of me getting myself together - took the first 7 days to rest and to plan out some things i want and need to do for the month
currently im making research proposals in advance since i will be pushing to do my clinical research starting this sem despite having to do it alone (or ill get more delayed in graduation). actually, im not so sure if my academic grant is and will be approved, im just praying and hoping it does so i can finally take my last 2 semesters for college, haha
during the first week, i started playing solitaire and doing sudoku and i was able to play volleyball !! not my best performance, but i spent most of the 4 hours as a libero and it kind of took out the energy in me (serving the ball is the source of adrenaline but was only able to do it thrice the whole time)
for tonight:
prayer and worship day 1/7
day 1/7 fasting from netflix, disney+ and sleep (i failed w sleep i slept after lunch)
research proposals - so far i have 3 topics listed down (2 of which are the same w different populations) and i plan to have 5 topics to present
continue studying airway management from persings' book
context for fasting sleep: i sleep a lot HAHAHA i need the extra sleep for internship but i sleep 2-3am and wake up 11-1pm so... i think backing up on sleep time is the thing i want to do
please recommend study vloggers to help me get back my focus and push !!

This will be different
Yesterday, I had my very first university event. But instead of dressing up and heading to campus, I dusted off my webcam and plucked myself in front of my computer screen.
Now, before you ask, no, I didn't forget to put on pants, I just made it glow in the dark PJs. It was a Meet&Greet for my program, and while not everyone involved was part of my class, I'm thrilled to be studying with this amazing group of people for the next 3.5 years.
I'm studying marketing, which is my passion, and this program includes a mix of academic coursework and an unpaid internship. It's a lot to take on, but I'm ready for the challenge. Unfortunately, I managed to catch a cold a week before classes start. I know, right? Murphy's Law strikes again. But I'm determined to push through and make the most of this experience, even if it means attending classes from the comfort of my own bed.
On top of my studies, I also have a side job to make ends meet. It's not easy, but I'm determined to make it work.
So, as I prepare for my first official day of classes on Monday, I can't help feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. But I'm ready to dive in and embrace this journey with open arms.

Artsy✨ I’ve never really enjoyed art museums much, to be honest. I’m more of a history museum person because of all the stories. Then again, art is also a way to tell a story, is it not? ✨ #museum #artsyaesthetic #museumaesthetic #artmuseum #historymuseum #bookstagram #books #booktography #bookworm #bookblog #collegeblogger #collegeblog https://www.instagram.com/p/ChWXnkDgcK4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

hi friends i hope you are well!! life updates include:
> it’s the end of the semester but i truly do not want to go home bc i want to hang out with my friends all of whom live in-state and sing songs with them
> thinking about postgrad which is scary obviously but i have decided that i like singing and i like when girls sing and write music. which is honestly more specific than i ever thought i’d get. what precisely i am doing is still a mystery but i am taking a year after i graduate to figure it out and learn german which all the programs make you do. exciting activities
> the prospect of being an adult and not being in college anymore is making me a little silly in the head. but i think i’ll be ok

My First Day of College
~~~ How was my very first day attending a 4-year university? ~~~
I was very excited and a little nervous, especially around new people. I was also very curious, so I mainly walked all over the campus to explore new places and to locate my classes.
One thing that sucked though, was a virtual class I have to take for the semester. I do NOT enjoy them because it makes me feel distant and not feeling like I am getting the proper chance to absorb the information the instructor provides.
There were all kinds of things to see at the shops, ranging from the small stands to the restaurants and coffee shops. In fact, I even viewed a stand filled with anime merchandise, from stickers to keychains to plushies.
The staff and student aides were very considerate and passionate about their peers and their success. Of course that is (hopefully) expected from every teacher at school. Unlike my years in High School, the times for each classes are widely spread apart, and there are different subjects for each alternating days of the week. I also have to schedule dates and times for class exams on my own. Semesters in college also end early (just in time for Christmas Break).
Another thing I am concerned about is the traffic. Sometimes, especially near the parking structures, it gets HIGHLY congested with vehicles moving in and out.
In conclusion, I just hope I will adjust to the new structure of college and that I will be able to finish my classes strongly. I have goals in life for after college, but I know I will have to finish school first.
Blog 4: The World of Business
Tumblr media
Startup businesses, as defined during the lecture, are businesses that are at an early stage and has a level of uncertainty – which means that it may or may not flourish as a well-known business. These businesses establish early products or services that solves problem straightaway through new means of solutions. Personally, I really consider them having a more complicated nature than that of a standard business model, since startup business may involve a third ‘party’ (as I’d like to call it).
This kind of businesses stay this way – unbeknownst to the common people – unless the target/possible consumers spend and give more attention to it, that is when it can evolve into a bigger business because it has accumulated a lot of attention.
An example of the situation I am talking about is Facebook. This app wasn’t even widely known until the latter half of 2010; even I created my Facebook account during this year because of the games it offered not because of its purpose: which was to connect with other people by showing who you are through the means of your posts, photos, activities, even public figures you are fond of.
Facebook was considered a startup business around 2008 until 2009 because back then, Friendster - and even Yahoo Messenger - was more given attention to.  As said previously, Facebook was a means of communicating with people that are far from you so that you can either continuously keep in touch with them, keep them up to date with whatever you are doing, or meet new people.
Startup businesses change the lifestyle of the people in many ways than one.
I admit that I don’t have much interest with anything business-related. I mean, I nearly failed my accounting subject back in junior high school because I never understood the world of business. But having little interest to this subject does not mean I hate it; in fact, I admire people who are passionate with business and business-related things. Whenever they share business stories with me, I almost always end up getting confused, but nevertheless, I admire how they are able to understand the complicated, yet fascinating world of business.
Our startup business idea in this subject (Entrepreneurial Mind) helped me learn more about business. My groupmates helped me understand that there is beauty in the world of business. Our business (although, it is still and will remain as a pitch) really broadened my knowledge about business. When comparing the first draft of our product up to the latest one, I think that a difference is evident between the two. The latest draft of our product had some improvements based on the preferences and opinions of our possible consumers.
Our product undeniably needs more improvements. But so far, our group, considered making a glass prototype of our hydroflask since some of the consumers prefer their bottle made of glass. We also talked about the chip that we will incorporate within the flask to make the connection between the device and the product item more convenient.
As of the moment, we are still conducting interviews to further improve and develop our product.
Overall, I think that the world of business might not be for everyone, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t learn how to love it. The business world can offer so much more – and with our technology undergoing a lot of innovation, I just know that it will help millions – if not, billions – of people around the world.
As part of this generation, I’m looking forward to more products/services that are focused more on helping our beloved and Mother Earth to lessen her suffering, so that future generations can greatly enjoy what our extraordinary planet can offer.
