Batman/Bruce loves him so much I can’t get over the innate tragedy and love of this relationship like you know what???#you know what’s ungodly good and fucked up???? that tragedy permeates every inch of Bruce and Harvey’s relationship more deeply than any #other element possibly could but one and the one thread thicker in the relationship’s entire being is love #it’s a tragedy it’s tragic but it is never /quite/ as fucked up and tragic and it is deeply deeply kind and sweet and full of love and the #kind of hope that only exists at all because of it. the way Bruce in BtAS immediately starts reading books on the disorder before he even #sees him again? the letting himself almsot get shot to get through? Telltale finishing his bloody fight in the ruined front hall of his own #home by telling him ‘I still believe in Harvey Dent’. ?? The way movie The Long Halloween Bats doesn’t even know Harvey /super/ well by most #human standards but Bruce has literally no friends and never had except Alfred and Gordon so to him this is one of his closest friends and #that’s not a joke it’s real? when he spends the entire last third of part 2 desperately trying to help and telling everyone Harvey’s his #friend and needs help?? it’s real. when he tells Gilda ‘he was my friend and I failed him’? when he compromises his code in a massive way #for the first time and let’s someone get away with murders so Harvey can retain the one little piece of anything he still has which is #having protected the perosn he loves? it’s real. he means it. that’s his best friend.#they’re so *makes incomprehensible upset hand gestures*

Okay originally I made this as a random draft but APPARENTLY it’s relevant, so: Listen. I know everyone automatically makes Nico the vampire but HEAR ME OUT. He doesn’t have vampire energy. He has werewolf energy (so does Jason but that’s a given). You know who has vampire energy? Will Solace. He’d also be the perfect vampire. He’s a medic. He has convenient regular and question-free access to blood. He is probably randomly covered in blood often anyways. Nobody would suspect him.

#no because. to be fair I haven't read wonder halloween #but there's just... nothing??? I can see anywhere else in the game #yes they're the troublemaker duo at kamikou but compare that to every other dynamic within wxs #emu and tsukasa have a lot in the main story (as does rui and nene plus they're childhood friends)#emu and rui in later events have the whole thing with how their time together is only temporary #plus autism to autism communication #emu and nene have the gaming event plus you can see how much nene grows to care for everyone but ESPECIALLY EMU #idk maybe it's just me being dumb and being sick of seeing them everywhere but like. I just don't see anything romantic #which is half the argument for qpr polyshow. the other half is just. look at them.#ahhh this may just me being angry about mlm dominating sekai but also I don't have this problem with akitoya soooo #I'm not main tagging this I don't have a death wish #bagel's rambles #if anyone wants to talk ruikasa to me please do if only so I can somewhat understand it #this whole thing was spurred on by the poll yes how could you tell?

something about the medium of comics... the stories just do not stay in my head

#i started dark victory not even realizing it was a direct sequel to the long halloween #i read TLH like idk a few months ago #1. i didn't really. like it that much? idk i felt like i was supposed to be enthralled and i just wasn't #and the ... ambiguity of the ending honestly just annoyed me. give me the answer.#blah blah reading and interpreting etc I KNOW but i was not that into it by the end and just felt impatient #i'm sorry but every hyped comic i've read i've felt disappointed. or confused... like really? ok...#i didn't hate TLH and i'm gonna reread it eventually especially bc i have it in print now #but anyways i actually immediately was into dark victory. but i feel like i need to refresh on the end of TLH #i remember about Holiday i think but i forget like. some of the mob stuff and the harvey stuff #i feel like #as much as i've been entertained by lots of batman stories #there haven't really been any mystery stories that blew me away #maybe the issue is me knowing too much going in #i just want a real rewarding detective story

Every single year in October we go silent, stop being able to talk to anyone no matter what happens, stop eating and lose weight dramatically fast, and every fucking year I'm like ??????

Until someone (multiple people now lol) in my life is like oh hey we just had the 13th and a huge eclipse and halloween is coming and um is that maybe affecting you

#mid crisis we read some more of becoming yourself #and it was like an anchor to anything making sense #and i am proud of that #of being able to open the book #and do it carefully #and stay in the middle and not trigger anyone on either side too much #also did i mention that my partner of an entire decade just decided to.... not come home right at halloween?#because im sure that helped #like she just didnt come home #let me tell you living with someone for 9 years and seeing them every day and then just living with their stuff everywhere but theyre gone #it messes you up #and if you already dissociate it is WILD #and so much more happened we cant share here anonymously #i just can not with this time of year
