These gfms belong to organizers who have reached out to me and all of them are nowhere near their goals, there are a few more I'm going through right now but these are all verified. Please share and donate to help these families.

@ahmadturk00 is a verified gfm! Mohammed Skaik is raising funds for his cousin and their family to evacuate Gaza - Ahmad Al Turk's family is made up of seven people and are currently living in a tent - they are a newer gfm and need urgent support. (€1,332/ €70,000 - 4/30/2024)

@hlabarka is also a newer GFM but has been completely verified, she is raising the funds to evacuate with her three-year-old daughter and her husband from Gaza and into Egypt, she and her family have been forced to relocate in Gaza seven times. ($1,112/ $50,000 - 4/30/2024)

@maisonhijazi is organizing for Hamdi, a father in Gaza who is trying to evacuate his children to safety - they just had a baby girl while displaced in Gaza. Please help him get the funds he needs to evacuate his family to Egypt. ($6,852/$25,000 - 4/30/2024)

@mohammedfamily87  Tareq Abu Obaid is organizing for his friend Mohammad Mousa, Mohammed is trying to evacuate his three children and his wife - his house was airstriked back in October, and has lost several members of his family already. (€170/€80,000 - 4/30/2024)

@ahmednabubaker is organizing for Yusuf, an eight-year-old boy who is being threatened with kidney failure, and Yusuf's family - this campaign is for Yusuf and his family to be evacuated to Egypt so Yusuf can be treated and receive a kidney transplant. Apr 30th: An official statement from Happy Elements regarding writer names, this year's events, and new music videos. A full summary is below the cut.

Making Writer Names Private: From Apr 30th onwards, all stories between ES! and ES!! will no longer have writer names listed.

Main Story Audition: The main story will consist of 4 tour events carried out once every two months. The results of the auditions will be revealed outside of the event.

Unit Events: All units will have an event in a year's time, from Apr 2024 to Apr 2025.

Shuffle Events: There is no predicted date for the completion of the shuffle unit project, though it is estimated to be more than a year's time. Characters who have received a 5* shuffle card in the past will not be selected as the 5*s.

New Music Videos and LiveFes: All units will have an MV outside of unit events this year.

Songs from ES Idol Song Season 2 will be used (e.g. fine's Never-ending Stage!!!!, Ra*bits' Usagi no Mori no Ongakkai).

Songs from ES Idol Song Extra ALKALOID & Crazy:B will be used for ALKALOID and Crazy:B. The song titles are Across the universe and Foolish Alien, respectively.

Another thing is that when this aggression started, we were so worried about winter and how displaced people in tents will survive it. Earlier this week the temperature in Gaza hit 38 degrees (100 Fahrenheit) and we are now wondering how will displaced people survive the heat in those tents.

Where did you find the full tl for Ibuki? Not doubting you (HappyEle is notorious for mishandling minorities), but I've only been able to find bits and pieces for the new characters

The tl I read for Ibuki wasn't his idol story (I don't think that's been fully tled yet), it was his profile, sorry for the confusion! I should have worded that better 🙏

MireiArchive had this rough tl for his profile, which matches up with the machine tl of "Born in Okinawa, and raised in America" (though you should always take machine tls with several handfuls of salt, I believe this one is accurate, as it matches up with the info provided by other translators).

They also provided a rough overview of his idol story, during which the incidents that are being talked about take place.

We know this part of the rough overview of the story is accurate due to being confirmed by several sources (the jp and eng fandoms are talking about it quite a bit).

These parts specifically are the ones where he claims to experience discrimination due to being Okinawan or American (any foreigners face potential discrimination due to a homogeneous society), though his current nationality is Japanese. The first two kanji after the question mark in the first screenshot is the word for "Okinawa" (I'd screen record this part, but unfortunately my phone's audio quality is abysmal 🙃).

Getting a bit into Okinawa's history, the Ryukyuan people are native to the Ryukyu Islands (part of which make up modern-day Okinawa), and they were annexed by the Empire of Japan during the Meiji Era. As Japan did with other ethnic groups, such as the Ainu, the vast majority of the Ryukyuan people were stripped of their culture and forced to assimilate. During WWII, after America invaded Okinawa, the US occupied them for several decades, and there are still US military bases there that are a topic of strong debate, due to their environmental, cultural, and political impacts. Ibuki's family likely has ties to America due to these past events (many Ryukyuans have immigrated to Hawaii in particular, due to it being a straight shot across the Pacific, something which started in the early 1900s).

After WWII, Ryukyuans supported Japan more strongly due to increased resentment towards Americans, causing a further decline of people who spoke Ryukyuan languages (the vast majority speak standard Japanese, like Ibuki) and other aspects of their culture. Ryukyuans are now mostly split between the Okinawa and Kagoshima prefectures. "Okinawan" as a term has become one meant specifically to refer to the Ryukyuans (Wikipedia and other places have great sources for further info on these topics), which Ibuki is.

Therefore, we come to the current discussion around Ibuki's identity and what that means for his writing going forward.

Overall, I'm hoping Akira has learned his lesson from the Amagis (and Adonis, while we're at it) and that the poor writing choices will be few and far between this time around, discounting this story, though of course I won't exactly be holding my breath. We'll have to wait and see until more stories drop, but yeah, that's the gist of the situation!

Posting this again in a much better-worded informative way because I don't think it's common knowledge among the english fandom, but Ibuki is Ryukyuan (native Okinawan), which is an ethnic minority group in Japan that has been historically persecuted.

This is why you may see some discussions about his handling in the story so far from that perspective, as there have been poor writing choices in regard to Hiiro & Rinne (heavily implied Ainu) in the past and present, and the "dragging a dead bear around and accusing the guard of xenophobia for it" in his idol story has been seen as distasteful by some due to the overall weirdness and potential downplaying of potential bigotry he realistically could encounter due to his position.

This is not a callout post on anyone, I just thought it was worth mentioning because I didn't know this until reading a tl mentioning him, and think it's something important to keep in mind when looking at his writing direction in the future!
