You read every gojohime fic???? That's amazing!!! What are your favourites?
hello anonie! i guess i can say i’ve read at least a good 80% of all the fics, at least. probably. most likely because the fic tag at the start of the year was tiny and now the community’s grown so much there’s almost 600 of them. that’s insane to me. like hello?
i have a lotta fics that come to mind, that i should honestly make a master post on because i love them all. so here are a few many that came to mind immediately as i typed this up.
gojohime fic recommendations!

limitations by ohmytheon
“Parenthood chooses you," her mother used to tell her, but Utahime never understood that saying more than the moment she realized she was pregnant with Gojo Satoru's child. They were never meant to be something serious - never meant to be more than they were - and yet they both suddenly find themselves in a world that doesn't care about their desires - and that brings them closer in a way that no one else can understand. It won't be easy and it won't be kind to either of them, but it appears as if the universe has other plans for them
no one is what they were before by ohmytheon
The world broke when Gojo Satoru turned on jujutsu society. It's not the hopeful place it was before, but Utahime has never been one to give up. Until she's placed in a dangerous position directly in his path, and she finds herself trapped in a web that doesn't seem intent on ever letting her go.
and touch me like you never by ohmytheon
In public, Gojo is a special grade bastard, especially to Utahime, and has been all their lives. He knows exactly what insults to throw and what buttons to push to drive her up a wall. In private, however, he's got quite a few other things to tell and show her, which only makes things more confusing. It would be easier if she could avoid him entirely, but for some reason, he won't let her go entirely.

This is Utahime, fierce and indomitable, and this is Satoru, who despite holding the world’s regard, still craves something that Utahime has had all her life. Coming together is sometimes an act of desperation, and sometimes a deliberate choice. Or: An Iori Utahime character study, through the lens of her relationship with Gojo Satoru, starting from the beginning and ending at the Goodwill Event arc. Manga spoilers and (at least 95%) canon-compliant through (at least) chapter 135.

“I told my family we’re dating.” Utahime’s hand hovers over the door. “What?!” (or: Gojo tells his family that he's dating Utahime to get them off his back, so of course they invite her to the dreaded family dinner™)

At 28, Satoru Gojo's responsibilities only start to multiply. With his clan looking to him to lead the family, and the balance of the universe in his hands, Gojo isn't thinking of much else. But when his mother brings something to his attention, the only thing Gojo can do is follow through. But how is Utahime Iori part of all of this?
gojo catoru by ashittywriter
Utahime is tasked to catsit a suspiciously large Persian dollface cat with pristine white hair, the most boop-able nose, and to top it off the cutest cerulean eyes. Too bad the cat also happens to be her idiotic colleague Gojo Satoru.

Utahime doesn't expect to remember her ex's number off by heart but it comes in handy when she's a little less than sober outside a club in a city she's not familiar with and her battery on three percent. She just wishes things turned out differently for them. (Or, post-break up exploration where outer forces refuse to let them have their happy ending.)
a second chance by onewordmore
In another world, it wasn't Geto who sneered down at humanity, regarding them to be worthless monkeys that deserved to die. In another world, it wasn't Geto who openly defied the Jujutsu Council and brought down terror and fear to all. In another world, it wasn't just Amanai Riko who died that day, amidst the cheers and delighted cries of the insane. And Utahime was going to learn, first hand, the consequences of her own death.

A drabble series regarding Gojo and Utahime. From fluff to smut to angst to love. This is going to have it all.

It takes a little alcohol, early morning hours, and a game of truth or dare for Gojo and Utahime to admit some difficult truths to each other.

At the start of winter, Utahime starts to cough up blood. She thinks maybe its just the lingering damage from her last mission, but the coughing persists and it starts to scratch her throat, and itch at her lungs and when she finally makes the trip to Tokyo to ask Shoko for her help, she doesn't even get the first word out. Shoko welcomes her at the entrance to Tokyo Metropolitan Technical School and Utahime hacks up a single, pale blue petal, smattered with blood. She stares down at the flora on the ground and wonders if she's been cursed. Utahime looks up, and Shoko's eyes are wide.

“M’sorry," Gojo said his voice slurring at the end. "But please go away, I have a girlfriend." Utahime blinked in confusion. What the fuck?
souvenir by PrettyKittyLuvsU
“Aha!” Gojo tugged something out of his pocket, his long fingers curled around it as he held his hand behind his back. His other hand waved before him, a cheeky grin splitting his lips. “Ora, ora! Hold out your hand.” Utahime stared flatly. “Ora, ora!” Gojo persisted, continuing to wave his hand as he grinned. “Hold out your hand already!” Utahime scowled at the hand swaying infront of her face. She had half a mind to slap the man instead, but her students were closely watching. Even Gojo’s students, the second years mainly—for Sukuna’s vessel was apologizing profusely as the brown haired girl continued kicking him while the quiet one made no effort to stop her— looked in fascination at whatever ridiculous souvenir Gojo wanted to hand her. Utahime slowly lifted her arm, already planning on throwing the thing back in Gojo’s annoying face. Gojo gets Utahime a very special kind of souvenir. Set during the start of the Goodwill arc.

notes: this took long bc i wrote one version but it was SO LAME u guys r lucky my friend and editor ( @kigurumu 🖤 ) stopped me from posting it. so then i had to reorganize my thoughts n b like girl. the ppl are waiting. get it together. anyway here’s zoom jk 😎
Tumblr media
Being grouped with Jeon Jungkook (he/him) for your first class on the first day of your first Zoom semester truly sets the standard.
By no means do your other classes suck; they’re quite enjoyable, more relevant to your area of study. They’re familiar which makes them comfortable, your Zoom meetings filled with faces you’ve seen time and time again the last four years. The material interests you, so you definitely don’t have anything against them or your classmates.
That being said, no one is prepared for the awkwardness that comes with each and every Zoom meeting. You never thought you’d be embarrassed to turn your mic on— to speak in a class filled with your peers. And the meetings are all like that, filled with uncomfortable silences and endless black screens.
You wish there was a Jeon Jungkook (he/him) in every class.
Jungkook’s just got this bubbly aura to him, this magnetic presence that staples itself into the back of your mind with each passing day. No one fills a Zoom call like he does, making every person laugh and smile like him.
Wednesday rolls around and you find yourself a little disheartened when you don’t get sorted into the same randomized group as him again. Disappointment melts into annoyance when you find out how incompetent your other classmates are, refusing to speak in the small group or just completely clocking out all together. A lot of them didn’t do the reading— the one you stayed up all night doing —and your first partnered assignment of the semester finds you doing it all by yourself. Muted mics, black windows, complete radio silence; you hated it all.
You find yourself weirdly longing for Jeon Jungkook’s presence, even if he’s only there to talk about some movie he saw last night. No one is as much of a chatterbox as him, can’t even hold a candle to the way he draws everyone in with his mindless conversations. At least he speaks during Breakout Rooms, you think bitterly.
Anyway, the first week of classes ends and your brain is a frenzied mess. There’s schedules to memorize, professors to impress, assignments to plan out. There’s definitely no time to sit around and fantasize about the curly haired cutie in one of your general classes. The weekend is spent trying to organize your planner, filling in due dates and exam days ahead of time. It’s your last semester and you’re dead set on making it your best one yet. There’s a lot of written work this time around, analyses and research papers that need to be organized. The road ahead is manageable, but you’ll have to work hard to keep it that way for the next five months.
Most notably, there’s one group project waiting for you, which leads you to Friday. Sitting at your desk, bright and early, absolutely dreading being assigned to your group.
Jungkook is early this time, not like on Monday where he’d been one of the last to filter in, and he’s looking as chirpy as ever. Donning this horrendously hot pink shirt, completely unlike the neutral tones he’d worn during your last two meetings and that decorate his room, and the cutest pair of circle glasses sitting on his nose. He says his regularly scheduled ‘good morning’ to you all and receives a collective response from the rest of the class that not even your professor got.
Speaking of the professor, you’ve been giving him the stink eye this whole time. Not that he can tell, given the fact he’s probably miles away in his own home while you angrily glare at him through your webcam. It’s this old guy who’s decided to sort you all into semester long groups for the class, which is the absolute worst. These types of groups always go the same way: you make a group chat promising to study together, those plans fall through, and then everyone just leeches off of each other for homework answers. And in most cases, it’s you handing over your homework answers because no one else ever bothers to do anything. Sadly, it’s a routine you’ve had to suffer through many times in your academic career.
The thought makes you sick. Having to spend another semester being labeled as the bossy, nerdy dictator of the group? Not exactly how you wanted to spend the last few months of college, but there’s nothing you can do. Maybe this time around you’ll just let it be, won’t fight it (and by it, you mean your lazy classmates when they inevitably try to guilt trip you for homework) and simply let it run its course.
“I’m going to put you guys into Breakout Rooms with your new groups!” your professor claps excitedly, and then you and the rest of your classmates are forced to watch him lean too close to the camera as he begins clicking around to find the preset groups he’s assigned the class. “Remember, guys, this is it for the rest of the semester. So if something isn’t right, let me know by the end of today.”
Man, this was going to suck, you groan. The syllabus had said that the purpose of these groups was to keep you all connected with your classmates during these trying times, to give you the same opportunities in-person learning would. Frankly, you’re not too worried about making friends with everyone in this large class. Most of them are younger than you anyway, save for Jeon Jungkook (he/him) and a handful of others who are apparently in your year. Befriending lowerclassmen only to have to bid them adieu in a few months seems awfully sad, a little too heartbreaking. You really just want to get a good grade in this class, collect the last of your credits, and put this whole college experience behind you.
Your thoughts are wrapped up by the pop-up message that appears on screen.
The host is inviting you to join a Breakout Room: Group 12
You sigh, contemplate dropping this class for all of two seconds, before dutifully accepting the request. Worse comes to worst, you make up some lie to tell your professor that you’re allergic to group work and hope it works. (It won’t.)
You sit through the mandatory loading screen for a few seconds before being abruptly dumped into your new room, Group 12, or so the message had said. There’s no one else here yet, which isn’t really a surprise. A lot of your classmates are probably like you, scowling at the pop up message every time your professor sends you into small groups before accepting the request. So you chill by yourself, eyes tracing over your own mirrored image. The notes on last night’s reading are neatly laid out before you, your copy of the book off to the side.
Another beat and then, much to your surprise, Jeon Jungkook (he/him) is appearing in your room. “Oh,” he says, round eyes magnified by the thick lens of his glasses, the glare of the computer’s glow casting a funny shape across the lens that momentarily robs you of his pretty eyes. His pretty pink lips stretch into a smile, upper lip thinning out a bit when he flashes you those perfect teeth. “Hi, __,” he greets politely, bubbly.
It’s embarrassing how much his presence affects you, your back going ramrod straight in a terrible attempt to compose yourself. “Hi, Jungkook,” you manage to get out, fingers nervously reaching for something, anything, to ground yourself. They land on a pencil.
Jungkook doesn’t seem even the slightest bit aware of the commotion he causes within you. “I was really nervous for these groups,” he begins rambling right away, lips pushing down into an exaggerated frown as he shivers at the memory. “But I’m glad I got placed with someone hardworking like you!”
Despite how sweet he sounds, you’re not entirely sure if he’s buttering you up just to take advantage of your ‘hardworking’ attitude later down the road or if he’s genuinely being polite. The little information you know about Jungkook wants you to believe it is the latter; he’s very kind, sweet and nice in a way that makes everyone he speaks to feel warm. Still, for all you know this could be some elaborate ruse of his to make you trust him now and then convince you to do all the work for the rest of the semester.
Tentatively, you ask, “and how would you know that?” You try your best to keep your usual snappiness out of your voice, pose it simply out of curiosity. But everything you say or do feels like a stark contrast to Jungkook and his bubbliness.
His head tilts cutely to the side, imploring brown eyes looking at you for one hard second. And then, “I read your forum analysis from Wednesday,” he admits, breaking into a smile. Shy and tiny, bashfully looking down at his desk. “I thought your perspective on the piece was really interesting,” he says, lips pursing together as if he’s suddenly too embarrassed to admit such things to you.
Stunned, all you can manage is one slow nod. “Thank you,” you eventually choke out, trying to ward the heat away from your cheeks as Jungkook sheepishly nods back, cute smile still on his face.
“Oh, please,” he chuckles, raising his hand to rub at the back of his neck. “Don’t thank me!”
It is in this exact moment that you are suddenly made aware of two things.
One: despite his collection of soft sweaters and t-shirts, his bouncy curls and sweet smile, Jeon Jungkook’s body is neither as cute nor as soft as any of his belongings. In fact, Jeon Jungkook’s body is all hard planes and prominent veins. Arms beefy, biceps that bulge beneath the fabric of the short sleeve t-shirt he’s donned today. His shoulders fill out the material nicely, making him look broad and huge, but that’s not even the worst part, because—
—two: Jeon Jungkook is covered in ink. Dark streaks and swirls paint his forearms, curling around his elbow. Every inch of his pale skin is littered with tiny designs. They dance along the back of his hands, over his knuckles, and end at an unidentifiable point beneath the sleeve of his t-shirt. When he tugs at the neckline of his shirt in an effort to readjust it, you hope your eyes are deceiving you and that isn’t a hint of ink by his collarbone.
Your normal composure seems to slip away at the mere thought.
It’s Jungkook’s voice that brings you back, a soft timbre that asks, “aren’t we supposed to have someone else in our group?” You flinch as if you’ve been caught ogling him, never mind the fact he’s started mindlessly shuffling some papers around on his desk, not the slightest bit concerned with you.
“Oh— um, yes. I think,” you stammer, feeling like some creep for ogling your very cute, very sweet classmate. The memory of his inky skin nearly sends a shiver down your spine as you navigate back to the class syllabus. “We’re supposed to have at least three people,” you read off, glancing at the boy on your screen who frowns at the news.
“Do you think they dropped?” Given it was still only the first week of school, probably. There had been a fewer number of people in the call when it started, you remembered. Jungkook sighs, this rather light sound that ends in a hum. “Well, we can always wait a few minutes just in case.”
So you wait, nervously bouncing your leg up and down. It’s not awkward, or at least, not as awkward as it would be with anyone else. The other week you had silently sat with another classmate in a one-on-one discussion and hadn’t uttered a word for five minutes. It wasn’t because you didn’t care about the class, but because said classmate had been tapping away on their phone the entire time and hadn’t even responded to your simple greeting. That was awkward.
With Jungkook it’s more weird than awkward. You can tell the silence makes him uncomfortable because he keeps doing these tiny inhales like he’s about to speak, followed by a little head shake where he seemingly stops himself from saying anything at all. He wants to talk, very badly it seems, but holds back for some odd reason.
He’s scribbling on some sheet of paper, leaning forward to give you a view of the top of his head. From this angle, his shirt hangs forward and a silver necklace falls out from beneath the neckline, thuds against the table. And then your suspicions are nearly confirmed, and oh god, is that a chest piece—
You quickly look away.
Robbed of his handsome face and feeling like you’ll die if you look at his body any longer, you settle for your newly acquired favorite pastime: inspecting your classmates’ rooms over Zoom. Yes, you’ll admit it is incredibly nosy, but what else can you do? You can only look at your professor for so long until you inevitably grow bored, attention drifting off to your classmates tiny windows. And with no professor in sight, just gorgeous Jeon Jungkook, you quickly begin your examination of his bedroom.
Jungkook’s room is pretty much the same as you remember it, rather neat and plain. There’s not a lot going on in terms of decoration, which is a little surprising to say the least. Over the course of the week, you’ve watched your classmates’ dormitories and bedrooms gradually change, decorations and tapestries decorating the walls, mountains of pillows added to their beds. It’s only natural that everyone has an innate need to show off who they are now more than ever, and you thought Jungkook would be the same.
Apparently not.
Aside from the guitar you had spotted on Monday, his little dorm room remains unchanged. Blank walls, grayscale sheets. The same perfectly fluffed pillows and then—
A tiny Keroppi plush smack dab in the middle of his bed.
It’s adorable but a little out of place amongst Jungkook’s rather masculine decorations (or lack thereof). A tiny green doll sitting by his pillows, cute striped shirt and ridiculously dopey smile.
Leaning forward, you unmute yourself and conversationally say, “I love your Keroppi.”
At the sudden sound of your voice, Jungkook abruptly straightens up, glasses practically at the very tip of his nose. Eyes wide, it takes him a second to process your words before jerkily whipping around to stare at the aforementioned item. “Oh,” he jumps, slowly looking at his screen again, lips pulled into a tight line. “Um… it’s not mi—“
“It’s adorable,” you add, propping your chin in your palm, absolutely endeared with the rosy color that paints his cheeks, fades down the column of his neck.
He squirms, hurriedly pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. He looks like he’ll deny it again, nervously nibbling at his lower lip, before eventually he settles with a sigh. “I won it from a crane machine,” he confesses with a sheepish huff of laughter, rolling backwards to the edge of his bed to snatch it from its spot.
(Of course he manspreads as he sits, dark jeans hugging his thighs as he rolls back your way. His arm looks so strong, covered in all that ink, you nearly drool.)
“It’s cute, isn’t it?” he says, abandoning his embarrassment as he shakes the little figure around, makes it look like it’s dancing for you. “My mom said it looks like me.”
At that, you laugh. Loud and boisterous because you were definitely not expecting Jungkook to say that, such an odd but weirdly fitting comparison that has you looking at the doll in his hands with renewed interest. And through the pixelated screen, you can see the similarities: Jungkook does have the same smile as Keroppi.
“Your mom was right,” you agree, wiping a faux tear from the corner of your eye. “Very cute.”
Jungkook’s got this big goofy smile on, shaking his head in disbelief that you would ever dare agree with his mom. Like he’s genuinely enjoying himself, you think, oddly proud to have evoked that reaction from him. Granted, Jungkook always looks like he’s pretty happy during class, but it feels nice knowing that you were (confirmed) the reason why.
A little caught up with the bumbling feeling in your chest, you’re not expecting his next words. “Does that mean I’m cute?” he asks, still with that same dopey smile on his face.
It’s a bold statement you wouldn’t have expected from him, someone who seems content being the world’s friend, but apparently Jeon Jungkook also craves compliments.
Slowly, you nod. “...yes,” you say, trying to keep the tumultuous emotions inside of you at bay while you grant him this one compliment. Outwardly, you give him what you hope is an obviously feigned look of disbelief, managing to lace it with a little amusement as you shake your head at his inquiry. On the inside, your mind and heart are a thundering racetrack, the roar of the engines and the screams of the crowd enough to momentarily make you lose your senses. “Very cute,” you repeat, hoping he can’t hear the same pounding of your heartbeat in your throat and in your ears as you do. “Like a little frog.”
Jungkook graces your robotic response with the most boyish laugh, head tossed back as one loud cackle (because, really, there is no other way to describe the sound that tears itself from his throat) escapes him, curls bouncing back from the movement. “Cute like a frog,” he wheezes, seemingly to himself as he shakes his head with a grin, scooting closer to the camera again. “That’s a new one.”
“You set yourself up for it,” you defend, busying yourself with the papers spread out in front of you before Jungkook can distract you any further. “Anyway!” you announce, neatly lining the papers up. “Our group.”
Jungkook does his best to wipe the glee off his face, but even as he reaches around for his things, it’s still there. “Right,” he agrees, “we have to, um—“ a huff of laughter “—group contract! Or, well, partner project.”
Briefly, you consider calling in your professor to inform him of your missing partner. He had said to let him know by the end of today if something was wrong. But, honestly, you didn’t see a problem with your group the way it was now. While you can only hope he’ll turn out to be as dedicated to his work as you, as it stands now, there weren’t any major red flags surrounding Jungkook’s character.
Besides, you didn’t mind being with him for the rest of the semester.
You nod, forcing yourself to ignore the glimmer in his eyes when he looks at you through the screen. “I think it’s safe to say it’ll just be the two of us, which I don’t mind,” you say, glancing at the time on the corner of your screen to see five minutes have passed since you agreed to wait. “Do you?”
On screen, Jungkook profusely shakes his head, curls bouncing all over the place. “Nope,” he hums. “I don’t mind at all,” he reassures you, resting his chin in his palm as he regards you, and then sweetly adds, “it’ll be nice with just us, __.”
Right.
You gulp, heart fluttering at the dreaminess he exudes through your screen, the soft strand of hair that falls over his forehead, tickles his brow bone when he flashes you another smile.  He was so handsome. Before you say anything silly, you quickly attempt to move on. “But it does make us more of a duo than a group.”
Jungkook looks away from his screen for the first time in what feels like forever and you finally let your heart rest for a second. “A duo,” he murmurs, shuffling through his papers. “Like Mickey and Minnie?”
You nearly choke on your spit, coughing to hide the surprise from his rather cute suggestion. He’s not even looking at you, doesn’t even realize the absolute shock he’s thrown you in by comparing the two of you to one of the most famous couples— that’s what they are, a goddamn couple, not a duo! the words mean two completely different things! —in the world. Instead, Jungkook is humming the theme song to Drake & Josh.
This man was dangerous for your heart.
After having felt all the emotions in the world in the span of ten seconds, you eventually gather the courage to say, “sure,” and quickly try to move the conversation along. “We just need to, um, make some ground rules and responsibilities for us to follow.”
Jungkook nods, finally glancing up again, but not at you. He’s glaring at some point behind his computer, brows furrowed together as he begins brainstorming on his own. You try to, really, but his lips pout adorably when he’s deep in thought, and they’re just so pink and look so soft and would feel like—
“Well, we should probably exchange numbers first,” Jungkook says, interrupting your spiraling thoughts with a new topic to spiral over. He tilts his head to the side, brown eyes focused on you.
“Yes, of course,” you stammer, fumbling for your phone as Jungkook lets out a soft yay at your acceptance of his request. Quickly, he recites his number and you type it in with trembling hands into the number pad, giving him a quick call so he can have your number as well.
You save him right away, just his name followed by the class you share with him. Not like you know any other Jeon Jungkooks, and if you did, you doubt anyone could ever leave such an impact like this Jeon Jungkook.
“__, look,” Jungkook calls, that same excitement lacing his already lovely voice, and you raise your head up at the screen again. He’s waving his phone over his camera, so you don’t get to see his face when he says, “It’s a little mouse emoji and a pink bow— just like Minnie!”
Dangerous for your heart and, most likely, the death of you this semester.

college student!miya atsumu hc dump
pairing: gn!reader ; genre: so much fluff, headcanons/mini drabbles ; tag(s): fluff, slightly suggestive, just the underclassman years for now, based on the american college system ; wc: 1.2k
imagine college student!miya atsumu majoring in creative writing while being the starting setter on the university's NCAA D1 volleyball team. he read milk and honey by rupi kaur once and ever since then he’s been madly in love with hitting the “enter” key after typing three words and calling it poetry. his ultimate goal, however, is to play for team USA at the olympics though!
imagine college freshman!miya atsumu
longboarding across campus on the first day of class with his airpods in (now playing: rap caviar on spotify), ray-bans on, snapback over his head, and nearly falling over when he passes you on the way to your 9 am. when you stop to make sure he’s okay, his entire face goes red before he stammers out an “i’m fine, thanks” and speeds off in embarrassment, kicking himself the whole time for not even getting your name because when will he ever see you again?? but when he’s settled down in freshman seminar and looks up at the whiteboard, he sees you walk in from the corner of his eye.
spending the whole night studying the lasting effects of imperialism through the lens of feminist theory after being paired up with you for a group project. he’s sweating buckets as he walks into starbucks because he just knows you think he’s an idiot (especially after your disastrous first encounter), only to be pleasantly surprised when the first thing you say to him is, “finally gave up on the longboard?” with a cheeky grin
texting his twin osamu “pls help how do i get someone to like me”, receiving “lmao is this a joke”, then replying with “stfu i don’t wanna hu i wanna cuff”, then being spammed with wikihow links and a few articles from GQ–– none of which he thinks helps, by the way!
running into you at the nearby 7-eleven at 2 am as he stands in front of the chips (it’s cheat day and he’s studying for a midterm, c’mon), deliberating between the purple and red taki’s like it’s a matter of life and death. when you say “fuego is better” from behind, he spins around with his hand on his heart, eyes wide in shock before he grins and replies with “i didn’t take ya for a basic…” but grabs the purple bag anyway
studying under a shady tree in the quad and getting bored after finishing a couple assignments, so he texts you to see if you’re free to go over some details of your project together (you are), only to end up not getting any work done because suddenly, you’re playing an impromptu game of 20 questions and wow. he can’t stop thinking about you.
sending you excerpts of your readings with funny comments, usually just roasting the author or narrator for his inability to understand the text. the first time you send one back he’s in the locker room after practice and he grins so wide that when his teammates grab his phone and see that all you’ve sent is a screenshot followed by “this mf’s writing about pouring concrete as if it's a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE LMFAO someone come get their man!!”, they’re like, atsumu… you good? but no, he’s not–– he’s into you to the point it hurts not to have you
inviting you to one of his games after class with his heart pounding so fast that it almost feels like he’s playing the game right now, but then you take the ticket from his hand and grin, promising that you’ll be there as a representative from the official miya atsumu fan-club. he thinks that he might just die on the spot from happiness, but then you ask if you should come with a poster of his face and that’s when he really thinks he might just combust
looking nervously for you in the stands during warmups just to make sure you’re there and playing so hard after he spots you that he breaks his personal best for service aces in one game. he actually turns around at one point in the game to look you in the eye, winking as if to say “this one’s for you.” (you blush and hope he didn’t see it. he did!)
raising up one eyebrow in class when you meet his gaze and mouthing “wanna get out of here?” just to get you flustered, except when you mouth back “sure, my dorm?” with the same mischief in your eyes, a bright red blush blooms over his cheeks–– and he suddenly finds it very hard to focus, the only thing on his mind being you and him… in your dorm…
finally asking you out to the fall ball (this year’s theme: masquerade!), showing up at your door in a black three-piece suit and white mask and thinking that there’s no way he’ll be able to work up the courage to make his move once he sees you dressed like that, except he does when he walks you back at the end of the night, kissing you right in front of your door with his heart about to leap out from his throat
imagine college sophomore!miya atsumu
in plaid sweats, hair fluffy from sleep, leaning against the kitchen counter with a bowl of lucky charms in his hands, murmuring a “mornin’ babe” with a soft smile when he sees you walk in
pulling you onto his lap on his sofa as he reads to you a poem he has to analyse for class–– “[i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]” by e.e. cummings–– and when you ask him if he’s finally moved on from his weird obsession with enjambment, he laughs out an “as if!” and pulls up a poem he’s just written on his notes app
leaning over the court-side barriers before games for his ritual “good luck kiss” because ever since you started coming to his games in freshman year he’s only set personal record after personal record (even breaking the school record for service aces at one point)... even though his teammates and coaches all make fun of him for it
making out with you on his desk after you walk into his room in one of his team hoodies–– the one with his jersey on it–– his calloused hands running up and down your waist as he kisses you fervently because god, he can’t hold himself back when he sees you in something that claims you as his, even if he has a paper on 18th century french poetry due in two hours
tapping your shoulder as you file out of your 8 am class with a goofy grin and your coffee order in hand after you rushed out the door a few minutes late that morning (thanks to him and his stupid wandering hands)
driving you around campus on an athletic department golf cart after class because of his student athlete special privileges, giving out high-fives and aggressively shouting “hey! have a great day!” to the students and faculty you pass (all while cementing your reputation as the cutest couple on campus)
begging you to stay another night at his off-campus apartment even though you have your own dorm room because he sleeps better knowing that yes, you’re still there beside him and you haven’t left like so many other people in his life
inviting his parents to the NCAA volleyball finals. the second they see you in his jersey in the front row they rush over and hug you, introducing themselves and saying that they've heard so much about you from their little ‘tsumu that they could recognise you from anywhere. and when atsumu strides on the court with the rest of the team and sees you giggling with his parents, he thinks that he really could just marry you right then and there

could we maybe get something for miguel + valentine’s day since it’s coming up?
I am so sorry for to be so late on this! I was originally going to write this before Valentine’s day, but then everything just exploded into chaos and it got a little lost in the sauce. It’s been a long time coming, but I hope that even though it’s not still February, we can appreciate the love, candor, and sweetness of Valentine’s all year ‘round with our favorite Spider-Man.
So without further ado... here we go!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miguel always struggled with Valentine’s Day.
Neither of his parents were especially affectionate, and certainly not romantic, nor inclined to indulge in a holiday so centered around love for one’s partner, considering their... circumstances.
There were never any roses, never any cards, never even the merest breath of the words “I love you” between the two of them on the fourteenth of February, much less any other day of the year. It was like the day didn’t exist; the fourteenth slipped by, pointedly ignored. The stern silence of it was deafening to a young Miguel.
He didn’t bring the little punch-out cardboard Valentines to school-- neither of his parents believed in the waste of money on such a frivolity, and wouldn’t spend their hard-earned wages on candy for children they’d never even met-- and he grew disdainful of the gauche red-white-pink frills of the holiday, watching all his classmates dumping superhero and princess and puppy-printed cards into each other’s boxes, all aglow with the thrill of giving and receiving attention, tittering naively about who liked whom and whose Valentine’s cards were cutest. Every passing year, the day felt more like a holiday to showcase Miguel’s isolation than to glorify the love around him, and it embittered him more and more.
By his adulthood, he found the whole affair embarrassing; to him, it was a pastiche of care, a pretense, a falsehood. He gagged silently to himself as he’d walk the streets of Nueva York on February fourteenth, rolling his eyes at the overly-affectionate couples rubbing noses and cooing over one another in every restaurant and shop in the city, cluttering the streets with their cloying, choking cutesiness.
Every year was an ordeal, a burden. He’d have to slog through countless commercials of overly-groomed men presenting their equally foppish girlfriends with cheap-looking jewelry molded to match the motif of the season-- the anatomically inaccurate heart, schmaltzy as ever-- and through congested aisles of supermarkets and drugstores, packed to bursting with polyester plushies and synthetic roses so red they made his eyes water, the checkout lines clogged with shrink-wrapped boxes of waxy chocolates.
It was exhausting. Annoying. Unparalleledly perturbing.
And then, out of the blue, Miguel had to go and fall in love.
And found himself completely out of his depth by the time February rolled around.
It wasn’t that Miguel didn’t love his girlfriend-- he did, with all his heart!-- but he just didn’t know how to earnestly express himself in accordance with the expectations of the holiday. He’d held it in such high contempt and viewed it with such hostility for so long that the idea of having to engage with it as an actual, active participant left him feeling befuddled, lost at sea in an ocean of faux flower petals and cliche candlelit dinners.
He was caught between the two poles of his heart, one insisting that he needed to celebrate the day in order to show her he loved her, and to please her and not disappoint her on this day of days, and the other part of him insisting that if he succumbed to the trite traditions of Valentine’s Day, he’d be giving her a forced, inauthentic presentation of his love, one coerced by the expectations of the holiday and not one given through earnest admiration. And she’d dump him on the spot, he feared.
Miguel fretted that anything he did on the fourteenth would be colored through the lens of appraisal; his actions would be held and judged against every tired old trope of the day, against all the other men galavanting around town with their girlfriends, against his beloved’s own romantic expectations. He feared that whatever he did would seem cheap and practiced instead of candid and heartfelt, leaving Miguel caught in an endless riptide of his own thoughts, burning down the days until the fourteenth.
So he paced and grumbled to himself and scribbled notes (and wadded up said notes and threw them into a profusely overflowing wastebasket), frustrating himself to madness. Every new idea was a new dead-end; nothing, he felt, could accurately, honestly, or earnestly convey his love for his sweetheart, and would only feel like some callow, childish miming of affection.
As he sat at his desk, head in his hands, groaning into his palms in exhaustion, he looked through his fingers at the pile of discarded sticky notes and crumpled cards, each scrawled with some new, discarded concept, lowering one hand to flick a balled-up scrap of paper across his desk despondently.
“You’d think I’d be able to come up with just one,” he groused to himself, using his long, tanned finger to continue flicking various wads of failed ideas over the breadth of his desk. “Just one way to say--”
Miguel caught himself mid-sentence, finger curled, unlaunched at the unsuspecting crumpled carcass of a note that once read “carriage ride?”. He paused and gazed out over the expanse of fallen ideas, trashed suggestions; the piles were myriad, proliferated across the room.
And the idea struck him like a bolt of loving lightning, igniting every cell with purpose and drive and desire: he finally had something. Something worth making manifest.
He set to work immediately.
By the actual day of the fourteenth, Miguel was more confident in his choice, but no less nervous at the prospect of its execution; he still felt anxious, underprepared, like a child gathering themself together to give a scholastic speech on a subject they had not sufficiently studied.
Standing in front of his mirror in the bedroom, Miguel fixed his tie for what felt like the hundredth time, trying to decide where the line between “cooly rumpled” and “slobbishly underdressed” lay. He kept tightening and loosening the knot, nearly strangling himself in the process as he twitched the red material side to side, buttoning and unbuttoning his collar to try and straddle the chasm in presentation.
He passed a hand down over his vest, having foregone a suit coat in an attempt to appear more youthful and casual and less “forty-year-old man attending a business meeting that could have been done over email”, then raised his hands to roll his sleeves up his forearms, wondering if he should have shaved them in the shower or if that was weird.
Did his girlfriend like body hair? Miguel couldn’t remember. He felt like his mind had gone entirely blank; at some point during his outfit-fussing, he briefly forgot his own full name. It started with an M, didn’t it? Michael? Mitchell? Morgan?
Just as he was beginning to contemplate checking his own license to remember his moniker, Miguel heard a delicate rap on his apartment door, knocking him out of his reverie. He blinked and, remembering himself, quickly ran out of his bedroom, careening through the living room, and stopped just short of the door, taking a deep, calming breath before turning the locks and opening the door wide, leaning on the frame to appear casual and collected.
But, of course, for all his appearances, all his practice, all his pretending, Miguel could barely hold it together the moment he saw her.
His beloved stood before him in the hallway, a vision. Though she struck him with her beauty every time he laid eyes on her, Miguel felt especially winded by her tonight; she had clearly pulled out all the stops for him, from her hair being styled ever-so-elegantly to the dress she wore; a beautiful red number he’d never seen before. He wondered if it was new-- had she gone out and bought new clothes just to see him?-- and stared at her, unaware of the saccharine, shining smile currently spreading across his face.
Seeming to notice the aura of dreaminess taking over Miguel, she took the initiative and stepped forward, putting a hand on his jaw and pressing up to kiss his cheek politely.
“Hi,” she smiled.
Miguel swore her surroundings grew paler, dimmer, foggier in comparison to the bright, illuminating wonder of her smile.
“Hi, yourself,” he managed, forcing out the syllables in as cool, calm, and collected a voice as he could manage.
He wasn’t used to feeling dizzy, hazy with affection. It made him feel vulnerable, but in this strangely delightful way, like walking in the grass barefoot, or laying in the sun; exposed, seen, but at peace. Like second-nature.
As he was contemplating her smile and its foundation-shaking effect on himself, he felt her hand leave his jaw and travel up the fluffy jut of his sideburn, taking a loose lock of his hair and winding it around her finger, delicate and gentle. She gave it a very, very soft, experimental tug, unspooling its curl and extending the hair to its full length, and he followed her eyes as they scanned over the curl held between her fingers.
“You did something different,” she said, eyes warm. “Is this what it looks like naturally?”
Miguel felt his cheeks grow hot as he nodded; he’d decided to leave his hair unstraightened for her, today, in the spirit of candor and earnestness, hoping that the sight of his natural curls would show her that he’d lowered his defenses, thrown away pretenses, and wanted her to see the real Miguel. He hadn’t worn his hair curly in years, and felt an almighty self-consciousness rain down on him as she continued to furl and unfurl the lock around her finger.
She hummed pleasantly and passed her hand through the dense thicket of his dark hair, passing her nails and palm over the nape of his neck, making him shiver with glorious giddiness as she carded her fingers up towards the crown of his head, watching the movement of his hair with a divinely docile look in her eyes.
“I love it,” she said, fluffing the sides of his hair tenderly. “I really do!”
Both of her hands, now, ascended to his head and ruffled his hair, and Miguel observed her incandescent, childlike grin with a soaring heart. She giggled at herself and squeezed her hands against his stubbly cheeks, shaking her head as she stopped petting him, much to his dismay.
“Sorry, I must be making you feel like some kind of puppy.”
She gave him a sheepish smile and rubbed a thumb along the strong ridge of his cheekbone, apologetic.
“I didn’t mean to get so carried away!”
“Oh, no,” he stammered, an overexcited smile overtaking his self-control. “I, uh, you know, I was just… it makes me feel a lot better to know you like it.”
He admitted it nervously, eyes following every microscopic movement of her face to assess her feelings, to watch for any telltales of disdain or shame. But all he saw was earnestness, a warmth in her that made him feel safer than he’d ever felt.
She pressed up to plant a chaste kiss on the leftmost corner of Miguel’s mouth-- not quite on his lips, but close enough that it sent his brain haywire, sputtering and sparking with an unruly desire for more kisses, more attention, more warmth and softness-- and nodded her head, still smiling as she wound and sprung one last curl with a wayward finger.
“Love it,” she repeated.
Miguel, flustered, stammered some half-begotten words, then coughed into his fist, looking around himself for some way to smoothly segue into a cooler, more nonchalant mode of conversation. Remembering himself and where the two of them stood, Miguel slipped a hand around her waist, ushering her in.
“Can’t just be standing in the hall all night,” he mumbled, partially to her, but mostly to himself to try and jog him into actually bringing the romance to fruition.
As she entered, he closed the door behind them and let her take in the sight; he’d turned the lights in the apartment down to about a quarter of their usual brightness and brought in electric candles for ambiance, a garland of string lights encircling the large window at the furthest end of his apartment, the one that looked out over the surging skyline of Nueva York, in all its glittering, gritty glory. Near the window, he’d set up a small table, just the right size for two to sit at comfortably, and covered it with a tablecloth, a centerpiece of pale flowers sitting atop it.
He eyed the flat, rectangular package sitting on the windowsill, leaned against the glass, wrapped in a soft pink ribbon, his heart jumping into his throat, and swallowed thickly. When she turned back to him after admiring her surroundings, Miguel flashed a smile, caught somewhere between forced confidence and genuine pleasure at seeing her.
“Love what you’ve done with the place,” she teased. “You don’t even do this much for the holidays!”
“I’m allergic to Christmas trees,” he defended, laughing to himself a little as she rolled her eyes incredulously. “You know that.”
“I know you say that, but I don’t think it’s quite true.”
She stepped closer to him and put one hand on his shoulder, the other coming to play with his tie as she leaned her weight against him, swaying a little as he put his hands on her hips to hold her closer.
“I think you have a history of wet blanket-ing holidays for yourself.”
“Mm,” acquiesced Miguel with a hum. “Fair.”
“But,” she added, straightening his tie with a smile, “It’s really nice to see you coming out of your shell a little; I know this one’s a hard one for you.”
At that, Miguel softened, eyes meeting hers. He saw a tentativeness in her, a hesitance, and to quell it, he leaned down, kissing the soft hill of her cheek, hugging her to his chest. He sighed through his nose, comforted by the enveloping scent of her perfume, her shampoo, her warmth.
As he pulled away with some reluctance, he gestured to the table at the window.
“Let me get you a seat,” he said, patting her back in the manner of an overly-friendly waiter, putting on his most comic airs. “Your reservation awaits.”
“Oh, a reservation at such a haute eatery,” she replied, voice lilting in good humor. “Whatever must my man have done to secure such a thing?”
“He spared no expense, I assure you,” he laughed as they walked over and he pulled out the chair for her, ushering her in and then scooting the seat closer to the table. “There’s talk of a back-alley deal; money, guns, all manner of salacious things.”
She ooh-ed scandalously, pressing a hand to her chest, and Miguel grinned, his fangs flashing even in the dim light.
“Alright,” he said, checking his watch, “I think dinner’s ready. I’ll be back in a second, but before I go, is there anything you want to drink?”
“I can get my own drink,” she replied, swatting her hand in the air dismissively. “I’m a big girl, Miguel.”
As she tried to stand up to join him, Miguel put his hands on her shoulders and gently pushed her back down into her seat, clucking his tongue and shaking his head, a playful smile resting on his lips.
“Ah-ah-ah, nope. I’m being gentlemanly, and I’ll not have you thwart me in that. So just sit back, relax, and lemme do something nice for you.”
She opened her mouth to protest and Miguel quickly ducked down, planting a kiss on her lips that served to both silence her and stir him into pure excitement, his heart racing as he felt her cup his cheek and lean into the kiss. He pulled back with a pleasant ‘pop’, beaming ear to ear, pulse thundering.
“There,” he murmured as she looked back at him, a little hazy from the kiss. “Now, please. What would you like to drink?”
“W… water’s fine,” she managed.
“Good.”
He kissed her forehead, closing off the loop of conversation for the time being, and headed to the kitchen, feeling like someone had replaced his blood with helium and that he was liable to float away, up, up, into the stratosphere, at any given moment.
As he walked into the kitchen and peeked in the oven-- everything seemed to be in order, which was a relief-- Miguel found himself humming. He wasn’t even sure of the tune; he just knew he felt such utter delight that it was bubbling out of him in happy little high notes. Opening the oven with his oven mitts and carefully extracting the simmering tray, he continued his song, the melody as light and pleasant as his mood.
He set the meal down on the countertop to cool, getting down plates and a pair of glasses, filling both with water before setting them on a nearby serving tray, and cast a look over his shoulder. From where he stood in the kitchen, he could only see part of his girlfriend; the left side of her body, to be precise. He laughed, quietly, to himself, and saw her tilt left, her head peeking around the corner to see him.
“Whatcha laughing at in there?”
“Nothing,” he called back, opening a drawer and getting out a handful of utensils. “You just look cute.”
He heard her distantly coo in meekness, batting a hand in the air as if to dismiss the compliment, and he chuckled as he cut slices of the lasagna, plating it as he continued to hum.
Once everything was set and squared away, neat and tidy, Miguel lifted the tray holding the plates and glasses and sidled back into the living room, where his lady love was sitting at the table, running a finger over the lips of the petals of the flowers that made up the centerpiece. She looked up at him, eyes warm in the glow of the candles, and Miguel beamed broadly, sliding the plates down in front of her.
“Dinner is served,” he announced, waiterly in his presentation. “The chef sends his regards.”
“That sounds like a mobster chef,” his girlfriend tittered, graciously accepting the fork Miguel handed to her. “‘Sends his regards’. What, did he bake a gun into the lasagna?”
“No, laced it with cyanide.”
“How grim.”
Miguel sat down in his seat and watched her cut off a corner of her slice, taking an enthusiastic bite. She waggled her eyebrows at him precociously as she chewed and swallowed.
“Not dead yet,” she acknowledged. “Must’ve chickened out at the last minute, hm?”
“I suppose he just couldn’t bring himself to poison such a pretty girl,” Miguel mused, cutting a bite for himself on his own plate. “I know I never could.”
“Flatterer.”
She leaned over the table to press a kiss to Miguel’s cheek, her lips delightfully soft against the prickly stubble. As she pulled back, her eyes caught on something to his side, and she turned her head, gaze fixed as her smile grew. Miguel turned to see what she was looking at and felt his pulse spike; she’d seen the gift.
“Aw, Miggy! Is that for me?”
“Uh, oh, um... yes,” he stumbled, suddenly nervous once more. “I was planning on giving it to you after dinner, but…”
She paused, waiting for his cue. Miguel appreciated that-- she wasn’t going to pull away or push forward without him. Such a considerate girl. He placed a quick peck on her cheek as she remained hovering over the table and leaned to his side, taking the package in hand and turning it over hesitantly.
“It’s, uh, the first gift I’ve ever given, you know, like this,” he offered, eyes cast downwards and transfixed on the way the light bounced off the pink ribbon, making it seem luminescent. “So, um… go easy on me?”
He looked up, anxious, and saw her softening eyes, her gentle smile. She touched his jaw affectionately, lingering a moment before nodding.
“I won’t have to go easy on you,” she replied. “I know that whatever this is, it’s from you, and that’s what matters to me.”
She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his lightly, and Miguel’s vision went momentarily hazy with a rush of boyish glee at the kiss.
“It’s a gift from my boyfriend, whom I love,” she said with finality, returning to her seat, sweeping her skirt under her thighs with one hand as she readjusted and set the package on the table, primly placed next to her plate. “So I’ll love it. Do you want me to open it after we eat?”
“I mean, no better time than the present.”
A small snort of laughter left her at the bad joke, and Miguel smiled, relaxing a little. There was nothing to be scared of… he hoped.
Casting him one last glance, his beloved picked up the package and unfurled the ribbon, tugging one loose end of it until it came away from the package in an elegant river of pink fabric. She wound it up and set it on one corner of the table, then turned over the package and peeled at the seams of the paper, almost surgically removing the tape. Her careful unwrapping seemed to stretch on for ages to Miguel, who felt himself digging his nails into his knees as he watched her.
“You did a good job wrapping it,” she remarked casually, the crinkle of paper rising between them.
Miguel just nodded, eyes fixed firmly on her, waiting for her reaction.
She slipped the paper away and found, in her hand, a small, sturdy laboratory notebook. Miguel kept dozens of these, strewn hither and yon about his home, office, and lab, and she was familiar with their appearance, having flicked through a few before. She cast an inquisitive gaze his way, quirking a brow, and Miguel merely nodded, jutting his chin at the book in her hand.
“Open it,” he managed to say without trembling.
Graciously, she cracked the cover and pored over the first page as Miguel pored over her face, studying every muscular contraction, every scan of her eyes, every twitch of her lips. He waited with bated breath, hands digging painfully into his thighs as he kept stock-still.
She kept silent as she turned the page, her eyes skimming down the words written therein, then turned another page. And another. After what seemed like a grueling eternity, she looked back up at Miguel, her expression shifting in such a nuanced, unseen way that Miguel couldn’t place it.
“Miggy,” she said softly, fingers still resting on one of the pages of the notebooks, “Is this… about me?”
He nodded, swallowing thickly.
“I, uh, well… lemme explain.”
Standing up from his seat, Miguel rounded the table to come to her side, hovering over her shoulder and taking the edge of the book in his hand so that they held it together.
“I really, really struggled to find something that would explain how I feel for you,” he said, voice barely more than a whisper. “It couldn’t be something dumb, like some silly necklace I could buy at a mall or a gift card or whatever. I wanted it to be something only I could do, and something only I could do for only you. Something that could never be replicated. And that got me thinking about my work.”
He turned the page to the very first page, resting a finger on a line with the words “OBSERVATION LOG” written in his scratchy style.
“My job, as a geneticist, is to study some of the most absolutely unique stuff on Earth and try to figure out what makes it tick. What the patterns are. And when I look at you, my brain does the same things; it keeps track of every little detail about you, trying to figure out what makes you so… special, in every conceivable way, to me.”
Miguel brushed a thumb along the curve of her hand as it held the book, tracing the warmth of her skin. He took a steadying breath, then pressed on.
“So I thought I would write it all down and show you how every single thing in here is part of what makes you the most utterly unique creature in all the world,” he murmured. “And part of what makes me love you. Unchangeably.”
He turned the page, showing her scattered lists and notes and observations, quick jots of details, scraps of information, shorthanded recollections of memories. He pointed with a finger to highlight one such entry.
“This is about how you’re so fussy about what goes on your sandwiches,” he smiled. “Finicky about the crusts. It’s the recipe for the perfect sandwich for you.”
He pointed elsewhere.
“And this is an entry about how you looked when we were at the botanical gardens; I couldn’t stop thinking about how the flowers were only pretty to me when you were near them. I got bored with them if they weren’t the objects of your attention.”
She giggled, rather wetly, and Miguel looked away from the book in concern, taking her face in his hands.
She was crying, tears streaking down her cheeks even as she smiled up at him.
“Oh, princess, no,” he crooned, kneeling down to wipe at her face with the napkin meant for their dinner. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean--”
“I love it, Miggy,” she choked, grabbing his wrists and squeezing them lovingly. “Oh my God, honey, it’s so sweet! That you even remembered this stuff… that you wrote it down-- I-- I’m just so--!”
Without another word, she tossed her arms around Miguel’s neck and planted a deep, trembling kiss against his lips, pressing her weight against him as he first tensed, surprised, then relaxed, sighing into the kiss and allowing his hand to slip up the back of her neck, cradling the base of her head and tugging her even closer to him.
He felt his heart thrum in his chest, too fast in its palpitations to even be marked as beating; it seemed to vibrate him down to the very last atom, the electron, the quark. He shivered with pure, unadulterated love for her, feeling her hot breath against him as she pulled away to re-angle herself for another kiss, the hiccupy giggles of her tearful laughter flooding over him.
“I can’t believe all I got you was a watch,” she sniffled, kissing all over his face and jaw, tears brushing onto his stubble from her chin. “A dumb, little watch.”
“Hey, c’mon,” he mumbled, smiling. “Spoilers.”
As he knelt at her side and felt her bury her face in his neck, shaking with a combination of uncontrollable giggles and waves of tears, Miguel ran a hand up and down her back, feeling an air of complete comfort wash over him. He’d done well.
He kissed her shoulder, hugging her tight.
“I love you,” he spoke, voice clear and earnest.
He felt her nod into his neck.
“I love you, too, baby,” came her muffled reply.
Miguel could not hope to restrain the joy that burst through his heart and out into his smile; he was loved.
And that was all that mattered.

Fanboy!Jeonghan
Tumblr media
you could say Jeonghan was one of the very large group of original fans
like he’s part of that group that’s like ‘I’ve been with them since predebut’
he actually flaunts it but at the same time he doesn’t really talk about it unless someone asks him how long he’s stanned the group
Jeonghan is like highkey okay with everyone knowing he’s your fan
he has a lanyard that has your name printed with large font, he has a keychain with fanart he got from a fansite as a gift, he has a phone case with your name on it
He’s just ready to tell the world about you
Discovered you predebut
He actually came to know your other member first because they were on a survival show before being eliminated
and Jeonghan liked that member so much that he kept tabs on them
your company started releasing videos of all the girl group trainees, and that’s how he found you
He got so excited seeing a new video from the company that he actually excused himself from his class to watch the video
This was the first time he saw you
and he was so, he can’t even describe it, it was like the moment you showed up onto the screen, he just knew
He knew you were going to be his bias
and he wasn’t wrong
Officially became your first fansite
He was one of the very first fansites dedicated to the group that focused solely on one member
And he got so popular since everyone in the fandom (new and old) knows his logo and knows that he’s one of the top fansites for you
Jeonghan is respected in the fandom
He’s such a nice fansite too, he doesn’t want to be known as a fansite that is rude or mean or even breaks rules because he feels as though if he gets a bad name then that would tarnish your name
Fansites are known for always being at fansigns or concerts, even overseas concerts, that’s how Jeonghan meets Joshua
KCON was being held in LA and Jeonghan had missed the ticket sales because of work and school and he may have accidentally taken a nap that lasted too long
But he began to search around, posting on social media of his need to get seats close to the stage
And lucky for Jeonghan, a fan called mister Joshua, helps him out
Joshua is an avid fan of Jeonghan’s photos because of the aesthetic appeal and just when Joshua thinks he’s going to be stuck going to KCON alone since his friend ditched him, he finds out Jeonghan desperately needed one
So for weeks before hand, Joshua and Jeonghan are communicating on twitter. There was a small language barrier since Joshua remains more fluent in english, but it’s not a problem since Joshua is learning Korean quickly thanks to his parents
Jeonghan and Joshua ended up becoming great friends after this, and Joshua even spends weeks talking to Jeonghan about the group chat he’s in
and finally, Jeonghan get’s put into the madness
Everyone in the groupchat kind of freezes because ‘wow an actual fansite, that we all know and love, is actually in the same group chat with us’
But it isn’t long before a few days go by that everyone is roasting each other and screaming about their biases
Designated Mom of the group because he’s the second oldest and is often cooing over Chan who tries to update about his life but it always ends up with Jeonghan fake crying over text about how his ‘baby is all grown up’
When he attends fansigns, Jeonghan always gives Joshua his biases signature signed to his name
And then Joshua always text him crying and screaming ‘I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. YOU’RE MY BESTEST FRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD IM CRYING’
and Jeonghan plays it off so cool and chic
Jeonghan is close knit with other fansites too so it isn’t an uncommon occurance for the boys to recieve birthday gifts of their bias
like photobooks, dolls, stickers, pins, pillows, blankets
All the guys just send pictures of them crying while receiving the gifts
and because of this, Jeonghan holds so much power over them and he uses it in a joking way to mess with them
Meets practically everyone in the group since he’s at every group event so he runs into all of them
Jeonghan believes he’s out of the hardcore, head over heels phase for you because he’s been with you for so long
But he can’t deny the fact that his heart actually hurts when he’s looking through his camera lens and your eyes catch onto his
Sometimes he actually has to stop taking pictures because he feels as though his heart is going to burst
You know him
Why wouldn’t you recognize the man who’s followed and dedicated a whole twitter account to you since your debut
The first time you called him by his name without him having to tell you, He was literally about to burst into tears
‘Jeonghan!’ You screamed when he was next for the fansign
‘you remember me?’
‘Of course! How can I forget my number one fan.’ and you give him the widest smile he has ever seen and he just wants to melt right on the spot
The guys in the group chat are always screaming about how you notice Jeonghan so much
‘THIS ISN’T FAIR. WHY DOES JEONGHAN GET ALL THE ATTENTION’
‘BE A FANSITE THEN SEUNGKWAN’
He’s definitely fallen out of the wanting to cry, scream, and have so much anxiety phase of meeting you
Jeonghan has met you so many times over the course of your debut that everything just feels natural and comfortable
He remember how in the beginning of your debut days, he always longed for you to notice him and he did so much to try to get your attention
But not, he loves the way you look at everything else, he likes capturing moments of you doing trivial things like patting the bottom of your other member
but when you do catch him in the crowd, you always smile this very innocent smile, flashing him the cutest of hearts and sending his mind to heaven
Sometimes Jeonghan will even request you to do things, like pose with fake gun you received or even trying to get you to do the ‘oppaya’ song which you did for ten seconds before falling over in embarrassment
A lot of your fansites are kind of jealous because you give a lot of attention to Jeonghan
But so many people back him up like ‘IT’S BECAUSE Y/N HAS KNOWN JEONGHAN’S FANSITE THE LONGEST’
When the new comeback got released, you had received an unnecessary amount of hate, and they were all targeted towards your appearance such as weight
And Jeonghan just got so angry, and he felt so bad, and he was hoping to god that you weren’t reading these nasty comments
It didn’t help that Jeonghan began to notice how your smile was dwindling in his photos or the way you looked as though you had dropped a lot of weight dramatically
It hurt him so much that he started tagging his next few photos with positive messages about how you were perfect the way you were
At the next fansign when Jeonghan finally got in front of you, he looked so worried and he kept talking and talking about how perfect you were beforehand and how you shouldn’t read the mean comments
And it kind of struck you, like here was your fansite, one that has been with you from debut to the present, and it’s like it dawns on you that yeah, true fans are like Jeonghan
Fans who don’t care about your appearance, who love you regardless of your horrible predebut hair, true fans stick with you despite everything
So you smile, and your eyes are kind of glossy and you sincerely thank jeonghan for always being with you
‘I’ll never leave you’ is what he says
Jeonghan says he’s over the honeymoon period with you, but in his heart he knows that he’s always in the honeymoon period. Everything you do, all the tiny things, everything still makes his heart race a million beats per minutes. That’s because his heart is only of you.

Instagram and Me: A Breakup Story
Emotionally abusive. That’s the only way I know how to describe my last relationship. It took everything I had in me and never said thank you. Instead, it asked for more. Asked me to give up every little private piece of myself. Asked me to smile when I was broken inside. Asked me to fake it even when I didn’t think I could anymore. But I did it anyway. I did everything it wanted me to because I thought that I had to. I didn’t know if I could leave, and if I could, I definitely didn’t know how. It wasn’t a boyfriend, no. This toxic relationship was with the world’s favorite social media platform: Instagram.
It wasn’t always like this. As with all relationships that eventually go sour, things started out just fine. We were happy together. I downloaded Instagram the week it was birthed into the app-mosphere and never turned back. I was around fourteen at the time, a freshman in high school, experimenting with hair dye and lacking a care about anything substantial. When I first got Instagram, I didn’t think a single bit about the politics of it. I posted what I wanted to, not concerned about the quality of the picture or the quantity of the likes it got. I was just so happy to be there. So happy to have a new lens to view the world through. Everything I saw, I captured and posted, including ridiculous things like glasses of water and my bedroom curtains. Of course, it was totally silly, but I was also totally free.
It was this freedom that fostered my love for Instagram. It fell into the background of my life, a way to capture and advertise staple memories from my high school days. I was active on it without noticing. The app was just something everyone had, and while I wasn’t quite as intense as I had been in the past, I updated it regularly and didn’t think about it as anything more than something I did because it was something I had always done and something everyone else was doing.
After high school, though, I noticed Instagram evolving. Pictures looked more professional and less casual. Comment sections became areas of praise instead of conversations about the picture they were under. I even observed that people weren’t responding to comments left on their pictures; they just left them there like little nuggets of increased self-esteem to refer back to when needed. So, along with navigating a new world with my first semester of college, I stepped up my Instagram. Now, as I evolved as a student, my posts evolved, too. I became more obsessed with the quality of my photos, the comments they received, and the number of likes they got. Instagram was a game and I wanted to win. I wanted to be the best at it, and nothing was going to stop me.
Competing in this contest became the most important aspect of my life. I found myself caring way too much about the different facets of the app and allowed it to impact me way more than I should have. Captions and hashtags are always difficult to come up with, so my strategy was to devise something clever first, and then I would plan an event or a photo around the idea I already had.
One night towards the middle of my first semester, my college football team played Alabama in an away game. The rivalry between our two teams is pretty serious, and my obsession with football is even more serious, so I knew I would be watching. A few weeks before the game, a hashtag popped into my head: #JamasAndBama. From there, I thought it would be fun to have a group of friends come over to watch the game in pajama pants. I invited a ton of people (only a few showed up) and we took the picture I was dreaming of before the game even started. I was disappointed more people weren’t there because I thought it would hurt the amount of likes I would receive. The people of Instagram needed to think people came out in droves to participate in the #JamasAndBama event. While that wasn’t true, my followers and friends didn’t need to know. They also didn’t need to know that the event didn’t inspire the hashtag, and that instead the hashtag birthed the event.
I crushed that first semester with a 4.0 GPA and a new tight-knit group of friends. At the end of it, I threw a Christmas party at my house that included nearly twenty people. My house was flooded with friends and laughter. With mood lighting in place and a Christmas tree for aesthetic effect, everyone got in place for my obligatory “Look at all these people I know” picture. I made my mom pull out her professional camera for this one -- I knew what the quality needed to be. Every picture she took turned out blurry. I was devastated. Until I realized that some of my friends had also taken some on their phones. I went around the room checking for whose phone captured the photo with the best quality. One of the girls in the room had just gotten the newest iPhone, and since it focused automatically, we ended up with a picture worth posting. Hallelujah! My night wasn’t ruined anymore and we could continue on with our merry festivities.
Then spring semester came and it didn’t look anything like that for me. My classes were harder and my friends were busier. I went from eating at a full table of people to eating alone every day. My new group of companions was still around, but with none of us having classes together or similar schedules, we drifted apart. I entered into a depression that I thought was seasonal. When the semester ended and I still wasn’t any better, I got worried. At the beginning of that summer, I looked into counseling. That June, I went to Disney World. Standing in line for one of my favorite rides, I ended up on the verge of tears for no apparent reason. I didn’t what was going on, and I didn’t know how to fix it.
And the whole time, I became more obsessed with Instagram. As my emotional stability began to decline, my pictures got better and more frequent (but not too frequent, of course). My Disney World pictures got the most likes of all of my pictures, ever. My social media life didn’t reflect my real life at all, yet I needed to be on it all the time. I kept track of the likes and comments my friends got. Noticed who liked which pictures. Paid attention to how many days passed between others’ posts. And then I attempted to emulate what got the best attention rates. Instagram became the scale by which I measured myself. Even though I knew on some deep logical level that if I wasn’t feeling internally what I was posting externally, my friends weren’t either, it didn’t matter. I needed to put up the front because that was the price of existing as a person in my age range on the internet.
My realization came way too late. One night late that summer, I went out to eat with a group of my high school friends. After dinner, we went walking around the cutest part of our town. All of the girls in the group sat on a bench with a fine backdrop and took a photo so we could all remember the fun we had that night. I had a great time out with the people I love most, but I HATED that picture. The lighting was awful, my makeup had come off, and the quality would never hold up. No amount of edits could fix it. And because I didn’t realize it until after the hangout was over, I missed my opportunity. Was it a good picture to remember a fun night with great friends? Absolutely. Was it Instagrammable? Absolutely not.
As the summer started winding down, I got anxious. Was I going to have to force my way through another semester while depressed? Was I going to have to continue pretending? Two weeks before the start of my sophomore semester, I started to examine my life deeply and intently for ways to achieve greater happiness in a short amount of time. I had to wonder if there was anything in my control that I could alter to bring my life and emotions back to where I wanted them. Then, I caught myself doing something ridiculous: opening Instagram literally two seconds after I had closed it.
Did I really need to know what was going on that much? Did I think enough had changed in the time it took me to exit the app to open it back up? The evidence said I did. But why did it matter? It was harmless, right? I was just trying to keep up with my friends. Just using it as a way to stalk cute boys. Just doing it because it was there. Besides, I loved it. I grew up with it. Instagram and I had been together since ninth grade, and nothing bad had ever happened, so everything was fine. Right?
I heard the answer like a whisper in the dark: “Delete it.”
This was not the solution I was looking for. In fact, it was the opposite of what I wanted to do. Deleting Instagram just wasn’t an option. But after much prayer and deliberation, it became clear that the only way to feel like my life was alright was to remove the barrier that made me feel like it wasn’t. I wouldn’t know how well I was or wasn’t doing if I had no scale to check. I ordered a hard drive to save all my pictures and made my farewell post while waiting for it to arrive.
Honestly, I didn’t think anyone but myself would care. Yes, it was a bigger deal to me than it should have been, but I have an obsessive personality which tends to make things like this more dramatic than necessary. The number of “Are you really deleting Instagram?” texts I got was insane. I was honored that some people wanted me to stay, but of course my close friends want me to exist in the same spectrum as they do. They were all extremely understanding that I needed to remove the toxicity from my life -- that the app had become more of a problem than a pleasure, and because of that, it needed to go. We all moved on, and it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Or so I thought. The same day my farewell post went live, a girl I went to high school with - but don’t really talk to anymore -  ran into my parents at lunch in town and mentioned it to them. That’s how I realized that while this mattered way too much to me, it at least mattered enough to other people as well. I knew then that this was a piece of our culture that so many of us thought we had to participate in. No one knew we could leave at any time. We weren’t devising exit strategies because we didn’t think we could use them. But I discovered an out and I had to take it.
So, that was it. I made a difficult decision that shouldn’t have been difficult. I had to completely remove myself from the equation. I sacrificed my favorite way to search people and my clever name handle for a life without likes, comments, captions, and hashtags. The most important thing about doing it is how bad I didn’t want to. If I thought there was any other way to feel better or to use it right, I would have stayed. But nearly a year later, I am still without it. When school started this past fall, I had the best time of my life! I walked in the freedom of no pressure to be perfect for others. I met my best friend, started a new major, and moved forward realizing my life still matters even when other people can’t see it.
I haven’t relapsed since deleting Instagram, but I have come close. There are days when I think, “If I do it right, it won’t be as bad. Now that I know what the problems were, I won’t be susceptible to them.” And then I get a taste of it and remember that’s not true. Most recently, this came in the form of asking a friend to look up a cute boy for me (some things never change, okay?).  Within an instance of being on his profile, we learned that he had recently gotten a new girlfriend. Rest assured, this is not the first time this has happened to me. Nearly my entire Instagram duration was fostered by this same desire to know more than I needed to, seeking it out, and being disappointed with the results. But, the new knowledge changed my interactions with the boy. Had I never looked him up, the information would have found me on a need-to-know basis and I could have dealt with it organically. This little adventure on Instagram was fun and disappointing, but it was enough to show me that I can’t control myself when I have it. It was enough to convince me I am not ready to go back and won’t be anytime soon.
My life without Instagram is fuller and more genuine than it ever was while I had it. My events are planned out of a sheer desire to spend time with people I love and want to fellowship with. I had another Christmas party this past year. This party was more intimate than the last one, but it was filled with people who belong in my life, not because they make pictures look good but because they make life feel good. It was a more fulfilling experience, with games and food and laughter into the wee hours of the night. It was an entirely different tone from the last one. I was happier to be in the presence of other people, listening to stories and making new memories with them. Now when I take pictures, I take them for me. I don’t worry about my hair or my makeup or the backdrop for aesthetic appeal. I go on adventures for the heck of it and can take breaks when I need to because no one is waiting for me to post. Once I realized that I could live my life without an audience, I found the freedom I had been wishing for. If the way to find myself was to do it without anyone watching, then Hasta La Insta, baby.

5) Any product that you regret buying?
We do our research before buying products so that rarely happens, but we regret buying the Tarte’s light camera mascara because we accidentally got the waterproof one. It ruins your lashes; we’re not a fan of waterproof mascaras. Oh, & Maybelline baby skin primer didn’t suit us AT ALL.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Concealer, tint, mascara, lip gloss, and a highlighter!

A post shared by The Desi Wonder Woman (@shehzeen.r) on Dec 6, 2018 at 1:12am PST
Who She Is: Shehzeen, a.k.a the Desi Wonder Woman can easily be considered one of the first Pakistani bloggers ever whose content has always been the most unique and original.  She’s also the winner of the Masala Award for Best Blogger 2017, which should pretty much give you an idea of how immensely loved she is by her followers. She’s currently based in Sydney but of course, it hasn’t affected her desi-ness in any way, and she continues to be the most approachable and modest Pakistani blogger.
Why You Should Watch Her: Yes, she shares some amazing skincare routines, gives the best lipstick reviews and the easiest-to-follow minimalist makeup tutorials, but like thousands of others, we watch her every single day for her stories. Shehzeen’s Instagram stories will literally brighten up your day as you watch her be grateful about the simplest of things (chai, random trees, an organized closet, and what-not) and celebrate every little happiness that life sends her way. She currently types out all her insta-stories so that the followers with any sort of hearing impairment can still understand her, and this just goes on to show how incredibly awesome, caring and down-to-earth she is as a person.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
No specific brand, but I LOVE moisturizers. I think we don’t give moisturizers their due time in the limelight. Nothing looks as good when it’s on plump, hydrated skin. I slather on loads of it before applying makeup and usually do two rounds (and let each dry out before putting on another layer). Makeup sets poorly when your skin looks dry, and you end up accentuating lines, etc. when you don’t moisturize enough. There’s a moisturizer for every type of skin so everyone should be putting on lots of it. Well-hydrated skin makes all makeup look so much better, even if you have spots, acne or bumps, etc. Also, sunblock (regular usage prevents sun/aging spots and also over time it can help reduce pigmentation).
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
Lipstick. I love experimenting with colors and love, love, love wearing some kind of lipstick every day. I am biased towards matte shades and wear them 99.99% of the time.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
Ver, very much in love with Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in color ‘Stepping Out”. I progressively grew to love it since I bought it and now that mine’s finishing; I realize how much I love wearing it every day. A very neutral color that also has an impact and since it’s a warm shade, it doesn’t make me look washed out.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
I have been a fan of ‘Diana of London Super Longwear Eyepencil’ for about ten years now, and I haven’t looked elsewhere. It never smudges, lasts throughout the day, it is super buttery and soft to put on, and it gives such a good, deep, black pigment.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
Colourpop lipsticks, not regret but they’re quite high maintenance because they’re very drying and feel sticky if you eat greasy food. I prefer wearing products that will last me through the day, and I feel comfortable throughout so even though the colors are so good, I wouldn’t buy them again. Just finishing off the ones I got.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
I don’t do very elaborate makeup routines, so I pretty much get ready every day in between 5 to 7 minutes. I’ve been using pretty much the same products for years: Garnier BB cream for oily skin even though my skin is dry/normal (the one made in France), Maybelline Fit Me concealer, Channel Stylo eyeliner or Diana of London eye pencil if I’m feeling like doing my eyes, any mascara (no specific faves), MAC peaches blush and a lipstick that goes with my mood.

Who She Is: Aliya started her page when she was just 18, in 2016. She developed an interest in makeup earlier in 2015. Her mentor, guide and teacher has always been her mother who also is a makeup artist and technically the one who pushed her into this field. Makeup is more like a passion for her; She loves doing it. The beauty industry is vast, there are new trends coming in every day, creating new content and coping up with the newest trends, that’s the challenging part which she loves the most, and of course, she rocks at it.
Why You Should Watch Her: As a Hijabi girl with a dusky skin tone, Aliya is relatable to many of us at so many different levels, and this makes her even more of an inspiration. You particularly need to follow her if you’re a fan of Huda Beauty because she is on their PR list and she’s usually one of the first Pakistani vloggers to receive their latest products and share some amazing looks using them.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
Favorite skincare brand would definitely be Dermalogica.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
Highlighters are my favorite! And with that being said, I love the Hudabeauty Golden Sands highlighter palette.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
– Makeup: Hudabeauty Easy Bake
– Skincare: Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Hands down, Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter
5) Any product that you regret buying?
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Precision eyeliner
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Start with a good moisturizer I love using “Cetaphil moisturizer” works great underneath makeup. Onto foundation, I love using “Maybelline SuperStay Full coverage foundation” as it gives great coverage and is easy to blend. Tarte Shape tape concealer. Huda beauty Easy bake (while I do the rest of my face). Benefit cosmetics Ka Brow Gel. Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. Fenty beauty Fly liner. Luscious cosmetics Powder contour kit. Sephora “Flirt it up” blush. Any highlighter is fine, but my favorite would be the Hudabeauty Golden Sands… Urban Decay All Nighter Setting spray.

Its so hard for people like me, the ones with skin issues and acne prone skin to find beauty reviews on youtube. I feel like all big beauty gurus have flawless skin which means what looks perfect on them might not look so great on me. I feel like although there is a slight change and there are people with skin issues on social media platforms, but they are not enough. Well yeah thats my same picture. One, heavily edited and the other all raw. In 2019 I have decided to edit my pictures as less as I can and talk about skin positivity more. And have decided to make my youtube a platform for girls with skin issues looking for beauty reviews. A platform where girls with skin issues and acne can find a bit of peace. I may not be able to help all but I will do my part. Who is in this with me? I want more ideas and suggestions? What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
My favorite skincare brand is Kiehl‘s.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
MAC Lipstick in colour “D for Danger.“
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
Clarins Pore Control Serum
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner
5) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
First I would recommend using a good Foundation, what I would recommend is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. Afterward, I would apply my current favorite Mascara from Lancome “Hypnose Drama” for voluminous lashes. Next comes my go-to product for dark circles is the NARS Radiant Concealer. To add some freshness to my face, I would recommend the MAC Dimension Blush in colour “n Telling Glow” and to add some glow I love to use the Hyper Real Glow palette. I end the look with my favorite MAC lipstick “D for Danger”.

Who She Is: An Internationally certified makeup artist who creates makeup and beauty related content on almost a daily basis. Her love for makeup is intense, and this is obvious from her skills. She has recently started her own Youtube channel, and for her first video, she did a full face glam look by only using drug store products so do go check it out.
Why You Should Watch Her: If you love eye makeup then just head on over to her Instagram as she’s simply the queen of eye makeup. She has also recently started doing lip swatch videos, and of course, she’s great at them too. Especially if you want simple, to-the-point tutorials that can transform your look within minutes, she’s the girl to go to.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
The ordinary.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
Lipstick, it’s such a multipurpose product. I can use it on my lips, my cheeks as a cream blush and even on my eyes for a hint of monochromatic action.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
I fall in love with new makeup products every day! The recent purchase that I’m loving are InglotXjLo AMC pigments, those shades are so stunning, and they can really amp up any eye look without making it look overdone.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Drugstore products are continuously upping their game when it comes to makeup. There are so many products in my opinion that are either as good as or even better than high-end products. The Makeup Revolution highlighter in golden lights is a good dupe for NARS Albatross. The Codi Airspun is almost as good as the Laura Mercier translucent powder. The Pixi beauty highlighters can give any high-end highlighter a good run for their money. The Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is what most influencers prefer over the high-end concealers; I could just go on and on here.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
I’ve kinda regretted buying the Rose Gold Remastered Palette by Huda Beauty. The mattes are great, but while I like the shimmer shadow shades, I don’t like the texture and formulation. While I like using my fingers to apply shadows, I want to be able to use brushes too, and these shadows only work well with fingers for me. Had it been a cheaper product, I wouldn’t have minded that much, but because I made such an investment, this felt like it wasn’t worth the money overall.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Start with a good moisturizer (any that works well with your skin type and absorbs quickly into the skin). Then SPF (don’t skip this step during the day). Apply your foundation (again, depending on your skin type and the type of coverage you prefer). Go for a liquid or powder highlighter and apply on all the high points of your face to illuminate your look. Don’t forget to apply to your brow bone and inner eye corner. Apply your lipstick and mascara (if you coat the roots of your lashes it’s going to frame your eyes just like an eyeliner would).

I'm honestly shook as I type this because I just found out that the CEO and founder of the most revolutionary skincare brand that I'm about to review passed away last night. The Ordinary. The popular 🇨🇦 skincare brand under @deciem that has shaken the skincare industry with its super (SUPER) low prices, no BS one ingredient products which makes it less overwhelming for people who haven't studied chemistry and aren't skincare geeks and of course, the minimalist packaging I adore. A fancy skincare brand would cost you 20x more when they add one of these active ingredients in their products, you'll literally get what you want for below $10 while another brand will have the exact same thing for $100+ (not exaggerating) Ok so me, being a skincare geek, and also a science student, went crazy and ordered so many of their products, if you're not from a medical or science background, the product names may get overwhelming for you, so I'll briefly explain what it is. Today's star is Salicylic Acid 2% solution. Salicylic acid is a BHA (Beta hydroxy acid), that gently exfoliates the skin. No exfoliants,no matter how promising they sound can unclog pores unless they can pass the skin's oil barrier, BHA's have a special structure which allows them to penetrate deep into the skin and break the bond holding deadskin cells together. (Basically it's like spring cleaning your skin rather than just dusting the dirt off the surface to make it look presentable) It's really popular for acne and blackheads and is often said to be drying, however the reason I love this product so much is that it's actually hydrating which makes it perfect for someone like me who suffers from cystic acne. This product is a saviour if you've blackheads, will literally melt them, but for acne, not really, it will prevent and reduce the appearance and speed up the healing process but won't be the "magic fix" for me, it's perfect for the day time because it absorbs in the skin quickly, you know it's not gonna clog (infact do the opposite) and you get this gorgeous glow. For me, it's been a favourite ever since I got it, so it gets my stamp of approval. Shop at: @bnexclusives Price: $8.40

Who She Is: Fatima started her blog wabisabi just to share whatever knowledge she has related to anything. She has no theme whatsoever and talks about food, fashion, beauty, mental health, work, fitness, art, writing or whatever she’s into at that time! Her goal is to be as honest, raw and as relatable as she can be.
Why You Should Watch Her: Fatima will be your best resource when it comes to honest, in-depth reviews of beauty and skin care products. Other than that, you’re surely going to appreciate her aesthetics and photography skills.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
This is so tough, but if I had to choose one or two skincare products for life, I’d go with Multani mitti, rosewater and nature republic’s aloe gel. A brand I really love is makeup revolution. The products are so high quality and so inexpensive!
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
My most used product is the Huda beauty matte lipstick in the shade bombshell, so I guess I’ll go with that.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
Milani’s baked blush in Luminoso!  It contours, sculpts, highlights and makes your cheeks look all rosy and dewy and pretty. I hate wearing makeup and the feeling of having a lot of products on my face, so this has been a lifesaver!
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
The drugstore has really upgraded its makeup game in the last few years, and personally, I don’t really think you need to buy high-end products anymore because the quality is very similar. My two drugstore must haves would be the bourjua healthy mix concealer, and the Maybelline lash sensational mascara!
5) Any product that you regret buying?
So many. I’m guilty of throwing cash on unnecessary stuff; I’m always searching and trying out new stuff. People often think I’m “beauty conscious” or something, but I’m not. I just like to test stuff. I buy products, test them out and then forget about them. (Not proud of my habits) That’s why I decided just to start a page and spill the tea about all these products that are constantly being raved about. But yeah, I’m not a fan of sheet masks, I still don’t understand what they’re supposed to do because all of them, regardless of how expensive they are, they do the exact same thing.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
My 5 go to products to look “presentable” would  either be the Maybelline fit me concealer or the LA girl pro conceal, for the eyes, I’ve never tried a better mascara than the Maybelline lash sensational, for the lips I’d just dab a little bit of red lipstick to get the rosy natural effect, and a swipe of the Milani baked blush in Luminoso on the cheekbones and you’re done! You can add eyeliner for which I’d choose the makeup revolution dual stick eyeliner pen.

Who She Is: A biomedical engineer by profession and a beauty blogger by choice, to some, this might seem like an odd combo, but Jadirah believes that one should pursue everything that they feel passionate about, no matter how different they seem to be. Biomedical engineering fuels her mad scientist dreams (as she wants to give this world a scientific breakthrough) while on the other hand, blogging has given her the opportunity of connecting with people and evolving as a person.
Why You Should Watch Her: Having been an introvert all her life, Jadirah had some major skin issues since childhood but putting herself on social media has boosted her self-confidence as she feels happy to share her experiences as she now knows that they are relatable to so many other girls. She doesn’t want to come across as a physically perfect person because nobody is and she doesn’t want youngsters to dwell on deceptive images of beauty that are often spread through social media. Instead, she wants every girl to accept herself as she is and feel confident in her own skin. Nothing makes her happier than a comment that says that someone feels more confident after watching her videos. Jadirah also gets brutally honest about breakouts, skin care and you get to learn from her some great pieces of advice and tips on dolling up darker skin tones like the right foundation to use and so much more.

Smokey eyes, bold lips & sharp contour is my Sexuality. Period. Would you wear this look? ♥️🥀 _______ I'm honestly feeling these lenses in "Misty Gray" by @blinkbeauty.pk & now I'm wondering why I didn't start creating looks using lenses earlier! They just tend to bring together every look & this particular pair is super comfortable & VERY easy to apply(I'd know since this is practically the second pair of lens I've used & hence I'm not the most experienced when it comes to applying them. Even then, these go in in a second, easy peasy). Definitely a yes for me. ♥️🥀 _______ @alezembeauty Liquid matte in "Bombastic" (AK10 discount code) _______ @flauntnflutterbyreem lashes in Girl from tomorrow ______ @goldenrosepakistan Moisturising foundation in 08 _______ @maybelline Fit me concealer in 25 _______ #hudabeauty #shophudabeauty #norvina #ABH #anastasiabeverlyhills #makeupartist #igers #benefitcosmetics #tartecosmetics #makeupandmuas #bride #photography #muasfeaturing #universalhairandmakeup #undiscoveredmakeupartists #instamakeup #wakeupandmakeup #makeupforbarbies #motd #makeupinspo #influencer #pakistanibloggers #mua #hudabeautyoverachiever #kimkardashian #instadaily #alinamakeupartistry

Who She Is: A 22-year-old med-student who adores all things artistic. Art and medicine may not seem like they go together but somehow, in her labyrinthine brain, they make sense side by side. She loves reading, writing, doodling and of course creating makeup looks whenever she’s not freaking out about one test or another.
Why You Should Watch Her: Beauty reviews, gothic and bold makeup looks, cool giveaways, and gorgeous outfits – Alina’s feed is pure gold.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
I absolutely adore the Freeman beauty masks, and I’m on a quest to try all of them.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
I’m a lipstick maniac; you will hardly ever see me without a bold red lipstick on. So I’ll have to say that liquid mattes are something I can’t survive without.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
Stick foundations are something that I’ve been sleeping on and recently bought one for a college event. I loved the coverage, and I definitely want to try more.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Makeup Revolution’s Pro Fix Makeup & Illuminating sprays are better than many high-end ones.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
Oh boy! That’s one long list, but I often get foundations in a wrong shade, so that’s one of my constant regrets.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Maybelline Babyskin Primer & FitMe concealer, Rimmel pressed powder, Essence cosmetics glow for it eye & face palette, Essence mascara & Pixi Beauty glow mist to lock everything in.

Who She Is: Sarosh Pervaiz But, an MBA student who started taking interest in Colors and everything related to them which is how she came closer to the world of makeup. Being a healthy girl right from the start, she was always fascinated with how makeup can bring a massive change in a person. Having faced criticism and bullying for the way she looked, she aims at changing the perception and the ideology that always revolves around plus size girls in our society.
Why You Should Watch Her: Sarosh uses her profile as a platform to change the society’s way of thinking about curvy and plus size girls, to motivate them and to make them feel confident about themselves.
What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
Both Olay and Raya’s visage.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
I can NOT live without red or pink lipstick. I don’t need anything else, just this and I’m sorted.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
I recently fell in love with Garnier Hydra bomb masks in charcoal and Lemon peel mask. My skin is super sensitive and darkens really fast, but these two products have bought a significant change to my face without causing any reactions. Also, my face feels so super baby soft after using them.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
A physician’s formula has the best bronzers in the market. You can buy either a $10 bronzer and slay, or you can buy a $60 bronzer and still not get the same result.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
I regret buying Fenty beauty’s Stunna lip paint in ‘Uncensored’. If doesn’t stay long on the lips and gives a weird streaky look.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Always have a mascara, an eyebrow pencil, a kajal (if you’re a kajal person), a red or pink lip color, the very same for cheeks too (you can always blend the same lip color on your cheeks) and a shade brighter than your concealer.

I am using this Mom's Touch Baby Oil by #WBbyHemani for my newly born baby. I must say that it is much much better than many high end international brands. So reasonably priced and the oil has a great quality. It moisturizes the baby skin leaving it super soft and smooth for hours and my baby is loving it. I am using it daily to give an oil massage to my little one. 👶 I am going to buy a new bottle soon as the previous one is just about to finish. Also going to try the other baby products by this brand. I recommend it to all the moms and moms to be. Dont waste your money on expensive ones when you can find your own local brands with such amazing quality and low pricing. 😉 . . . What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
Bioderma always comes up with good quality skin care products, especially the Sensibio H20 cleansing water that does wonders.
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
I can’t live without the J. Note Luminous Silk compact powder. It is a must-have for my makeup bag.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
I fell in love with the Born Pretty Cosmetics lipsticks. They are just perfect, the packaging, the quality, pigmentation, texture, fragrance, shades and everything about them.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Entice cosmetics liquid matte lipsticks are really of great quality, and they can actually beat any high-end lipsticks like Huda beauty, Kylie and other expensive ones. Other than this, I would love to include Masarrat Misbah & Luscious Cosmetics products as they too are as good as any high-end brand.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
I actually regret buying the conatural better than ubtan face and body scrub. I haven’t used it more than once as it is too hard to use and it has a very close expiry date, so mine expired even though the container is almost full.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Beautify by Amna rose gold serum, Artdeco cosmetic compact mineral powder foundation or the J. NOTE Luminous moisturizing liquid foundation, Makeup revolution NEW-TRIALS vs. NEUTRAL palette, the Masarrat Misbah eyeliner, ELF baked highlighter and blush. I also highly recommend Entice cosmetics liquid matte lipstick in Skinny Dip as it is a great shade for normal use.

She has worked with Sephora, YSL, Chanel, Gucci, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Dior, The Balm, Clarins, Givenchy to name a few. What She Had To Say:
1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
Let me tell you!! If someone comes to you and says oh this moisturizer is good you should try it, don’t fall for that!!!!! Please!! I have spent 1000s of dirhams listening to bloggers and reviews, and then think why it doesn’t work for me? We all have different skin types and different concerns. Your skin is what you feed it with. My diet is all junk whereas yours might be the high protein or vegetarian or organic one. So what works on my friend might not work for me or you. So be wise!! Go to the store, get your consultation and get a sample!! It’s free!! Test and try it before you buy!!
2) The makeup product you can’t live without is?
I have combination/oily skin type. My holy grail foundation is EsteeLauder Double wear!! I just love it!! My shade is CASHEW. Lasts you 12 hours in Dubai’s summers straight without getting into fine lines, transfer proof, no need to touch up and sweat proof! A classic red lipstick I loved Mac ruby woo but now I love Tarte liquid matte in BAE. And sometimes id rub the same lipstick on cheeks too 😀 i have good eyelashes and brows so these are two products that id die for!
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
I am quite a lazy one when it comes to skincare but I love to exfoliate because I tend to wear makeup every day due to my work. The BEST exfoliation is in ur kitchen!!! Sugar & oil, mix it and rub on your face and you will have baby skin!! Tadaaaaaaa!! I have tried multiple brands and this served me the best since years!!
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Okay let me be honest, I have worked and played with multiple brand products. One thing that I always tell people is instead of buying 10 cheap products and cringing that it doesn’t last or work so it’s better to buy one product and be happy about it! isn’t? But there are a couple of good catches in the market like Maybelline gel eyeliner, Maybelline fit me foundation, Medora lipsticks are THE closesttttt dupe for Mac lipsticks (can’t emphasize more), Makeup revolution concealer is a close dupe for Tarte shape tape concealer.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
Yes!!! Many and many!!!!!!!! Thats not because the product was bad, that was because i dint have the right knowledge and i heard reviews and went to buy thinking its going to be great on me too!! Learn your undertones, learn your skin texture, learn your eye shape and then invest in products. And if you want that flawless face, girl stop dreaming on that. The media is all about fillers/botox and surgeries, last but not the least photoshop!! So go easy on yourself and accept the skin you have! Remember you are beautiful.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
I have oily skin, so for me I love Clinique moisture surge moisturizer, Smashbox photo finish primer, Estee Lauder double wear foundation, any black eyeliner, a volume mascara (i love too faced better than sex mascara) and you can never go wrong with a  classic RED LIPSTICK or you can spice it up with colorful ones too like oranges/maroons/bright pinks!!!

1) What’s your favorite skincare brand or product?
Mana Beauty & Spirit.

Lip and blush tint.
3) The most recent makeup/skincare product that you fell in love with?
Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Amrezy hightilghter.
4) A drugstore product that beats the high-end product?
Sweet Touch’s magic concealer.
5) Any product that you regret buying?
I am quite choosy in buying products but I would not like to pick colorpop highlighters anymore.
6) Your recommended products for a 10mim get-ready session?
Maybelline’s age rewind concealer, luscious cosmetics blush with a lip tint, and a mascara can make you go anywhere.
