- The long stretch where the highest-ranked post on reddit was an empty text post with the subject “test post please ignore”. - The slightly shorter stretch where the highest-ranked post of reddit was Grand Prix Richmond Crackstyle. - The now-defunct RedditGifts, which hosted a yearly Secret Santa gift swap, as well as one for the purpose-made holiday of Arbitrary Day (June 25th). - Rome Sweet Rome, the longform story inspired by a random question about whether a modern Marine infantry batallion sent back in time could take down the entire Roman Empire. - An OP asking for advice after his girlfriend’s father challenged him to sword fight “Punjabi-style”. - "Ice soap" and "2 am chili", two of the worst lifehacks of all time. - r/trees (about marijuana), r/marijuanaenthusiasts (about trees), r/anime_titties (world politics), and r/WorldPolitics (fucking guess). - The man who fucked up by pretending to not know what a potato was. - “Banana for scale”. - Various gimmick accounts, such as u/Shitty_Watercolour, u/POLITE_ALLCAPS_GUY, u/poem_for_your_sprog, and u/shittymorph (who posts long, rambling comments that eventually culminate in the Undertaker throwing Mankind off Hell In A Cell in 1988). - The old reddit switch-a-roo, a carefully curated link chain of the same joke, over and over, running since 2011. - Woody Harrelson trying to steer an Ask Me Anything back onto the subject of his then-upcoming movie Rampart as one user tries to confront him about crashing the user’s high school prom afterparty and taking a girl’s virginity. - u/Unidan, an omnipresent biologist and Bill Nye-eque figure banned for sockpuppeting. He was only caught because of an intense, protracted, and immensely copypasta-able argument about whether crows and jackdaws are the same thing. - r/dragonsfuckingcars (self-explanatory).

There is a deposit you pay for gifting/enrolling (not specified exactly but potentially 25$). And you have till Dec. 17th to enroll in it.

I got my hair cut today! I don’t often have my hair down in photos, so it’s a little hard to tell, but I got about 3 inches taken off and then layers. It doesn’t make a top bun quite as well as it used to, but it feels SO MUCH healthier. My ends were getting really really bad. I hope it still looks Ariel-y enough. I thought about waiting until after my Disney trip and then getting a big cut, but I couldn’t stand how bad the ends were anymore. Plus it’s a lot lighter even with just a few inches off, so that’s good. We’ll see if I still want to take more off later. 

In other news I signed up for 2 reddit gift exchanges and got my gifts ordered today! It’s a Harry Potter and Disney exchange. I got my Harry Potter person some HP scrapbooking stuff because that’s what they said they are super into and for my Disney person I got them a stuffed Winnie the Pooh and a Lion King notebook. They were a little harder to shop for since I only knew what movies and characters they liked and not so much of what specific type of stuff to get them. I hope they both like them! I decided to just get them sent straight to the people so I don’t have to pay shipping from my house to theirs. But that also means I didn’t get to wrap them and include a cute little note and all that. So hopefully it still feels personal enough. 

Tonight my dad and I went on a walk to the store and I also got most all of the stuff I needed to get done for work done. All around a productive day and I’m super tired and not feeling super great. I think it’ll be an early night for me.

Another #commission thanks to #RedditGifts: this one for some vinyl-on-vinyl bumper stickers. Was asked to make just the top “coexist” one but decided to play around and make some additional nerdy ones -- because nerdy is Reddit, right?

The bottom one didn’t turn out terribly well. Layering the green vinyl on top of the white vinyl on top of the blue vinyl was more than I could handle. But I offered the client the bumper sticker nonetheless and was informed it will be sent along to the recipient with an explanatory note. Hopefully the recipient will find some use for the mangled prototype.

The files for the stickers are available for Creative Commons download and personal use following the link on this post. If you have the program known as Make The Cut and a vinyl cutter, you are more than welcome to enjoy making your own bumper stickers. Perhaps your Marvel vs DC (bottom one) will look better than the mangled attempt above.

Sophomore year of college a friend introduced me to The Office (it had me at stapler in jello), I then showed my family the first season and got them hooked, one year I got all my college roommates Dundies for christmas (we also managed to get the lone hold out roommate that year hooked on the show), and I now make that’s what she/he said jokes more than I ever thought I would. Reading this book, and getting all the back stage stories was So Awesome (Creed wrote two albums while on the show?!) and definitely took me back to a younger, and possibly simpler time (Downer house I miss you).
